You get what you pay for. Everything was good. Clean rooms, frienly staff. The rooms are super small. I booked a double rooms for me and my partner and a saperate single room for the group, both rooms were the same size.

The rooms were sooo small: UNREAL!
The first room that they gave us was on the second floor, with no view of the city but a view of a next door building, a few feet from that window!!!
My husband and I told the administration that we will NOT TAKE a room like that and asked for a room at least with a window to the city view…
Because of that, APA gave us the 11th floor room, with a nice view but the room was extremely small.

Overall all was good and the hotel location was in the nice neighbourhood and close to the metro. The room was quite small for us with two people. No laundry in the hotel but the ith 5 min walk laundry service is available 24 hours a day. The breakfast was not as we expected. They have already chosen the sandwich for you. One coffee per breakfast. If you want more than one, then you have to pay.

Easy check in and check out but not worth what we paid ($140 USD). Nice area but a 10 minute walk to a subway station. AC didn’t work. The bathroom was cleaned well but the room wasn’t. Various splatters on the walls which clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There was some kind of sauce on the carpet by the trash which also had not been touched. The back of the TV and surface behind it were very dusty. We did appreciate 2 kinds of pillows per person (one firm, one soft). Bed comfortable. Cockroach + cramped and stuffy room

I'll start with the positives...

Hotel staff were really great every time i interacted with them. They helped us find the proper medicine when we got sick during our stay and when i left an item behind at the hotel they even shipped it to our next hotel for us for a very low cost. Which they really didnt have to do, so i appreciated them going out of their way to help in these circumstances.

Since its a business hotel i expected the room to be small and a hit cramped, but the pictures really dont accurately depict how small the room was going to be and it was a bit claustrophobic by the end of our stay, especially as we accumulated more souvenirs. The rooms do not have AC and the temp was centrally controlled at a very high and uncomfortably temperature. Woke up multiple times in the middle of the nigjt sweating due to the uncomfortably high temp, and while we could crack the windows open, it was a bit loud outside so it wasn't ideal.

Lastly and most unfortunately, we saw a cockroach in the hotel during our stay which made us very uncomfortable inside our room going forward... i get it happens, especially in a big city like that, but it really left a bad impression and made me feel it was unclean.

Personally wouldn't stay here again but admittedly it was so cheap i understand why someome would book this place for their own trip.

Dirty, run down hotel - unhelpful staff

Hotel and rooms worn down and dirty compared to APA in Osaka. Staff also not as friendly. towels were grey and looked 10 years old, cleaning staff very sloppy. Floors NEVER vacuumed for 9 days and saw they only have a lint roller for carpets!! Means carpets are filthy!!. Noisy old AC. Never changed sheets for 9 days and gave one excuse after another. Rude front desk. Osaka APA was superb…won’t be back to this one!

Room was not cleaned daily though it was advised on the day of arrival, so the guest had to wait until the third day of the 7-day stay, to have clean towels and fresh toiletries.

Certain hotel staff at counter may need training as when guest asked for location directions, he showed lack of keenness to explains.

With a not so conveniently location (over 1.2km) to main train station, this hotel should provide a local map with a clear hotel position highlighted in the map, and it only required one piece of paper from the hotel. The guest got one copy from the counter later on only when asked for the map from the counter. The map itself though, did not clearly highlight about hotel’s location such as the route to Tokyo Station as an example.

On the day when the room was serviced (finally after having stayed for two nights), the guest returned from a log exhausting trip and found a long black hair sitting next to the pillow, yuck. Since the guest is a male and had no visitors, just wonder what happened?

Overall floor cleanliness is not so good as the guest got dust in hand when trying to pick up a personal belonging dropped near the bed.

Improvement is required, please.

APA Hotels are the premier way to book your stay in japan. I've been to many different lodging options and yet I always go back to APA. Though the room is small, daily cleaning, smoking rooms available, and vicinity to stations and convenience stores make this place a no brainer. Though, it is criminally close to another APA hotel, so don't mix them up and walk into the wrong one like I did.

Poor stay with bugs as roommates.

Bidet, air conditioner, and fridge didnt work. The only way to cool down room was opening window. After staying 3 nights im covered in itchy bug bites on legs, arms, and face. Location was convenient and the hotel staff were friendly and kind.

Good location - surrounded by restaurants, short walking distance to metro station and Tsukiji market.
Offer excellent amenities in the room. Hotel staff is friendly.
We checked in passed midnight but still get to enjoy ramen supper at a restaurant located a few shops from the hotel.
Room is a bit small and pillows are flat, but I guess is normal for Japan.

Great stay. Small rooms that are comfortable and clean. Great location close to Fish market and multiple metro stations. Very friendly staff. Is confusing to find as there are multiple APA hotels in the area. Be sure to use google maps to locate the correct one. Went to 2 before we were able to find the correct location.

Strange check in, and warning email.

Very pretty entry and nice business hotel room. Good location. I was surprised to get an email at around 6pm saying my reservation would be cancelled if I didn't respond. I have never had such an email from a book here, and was surprised why they did that. Then at check in they seemed to have a lot of trouble sorting things out. I don't know why. Other than those things, all was well.

First of all, we arrived 50 minutes earlier than check in time and they would charge us ¥1000 extra, secondly the room so small that the room door open to the outside, room very dusty and dirty. We stayed there for two nights, felt like we were suffocating, after the second night we moved out to a near by hotel in Ginza.

Very small room compared to U.S. hotels. No closet or drawers for clothes, but there were hooks on the wall to hang stuff up. I was out most of the time anyway, so for the price and location, this was great.
They did not have an ice machine, which might be common in Japan, and the vending machine options were limited. Fortunately, there are several 7-11s and other convenience stores only a few blocks away.
Train station only a block away, so that's convenient.
In the end, if I go back to Tokyo, I'd stay there again.

Wrong part of town to holiday in. Business ok. I know small rooms in Tokyo and on budget, but I couldn't move. Paid extra for breakfast (x6) had it twice then ate elsewhere. Exactly same thing served up. No choice. Given to you at table. Staff efficient, hotel new and clean. But that's it.

Staff didn’t have good proficiency in a English. They provided a mini rice cooker as a kettle. I called reception to confirm that I’m supposed to use the rice cooker as a kettle and they didn’t understand the word “kettle”. Had to trouble the staff to come up to the room, use google translate to finally confirm it.

Otherwise, it’s generally fine. No mineral water provided unless they don’t need to change your bedsheet after staying for more than a night. If so, they will provide you with one bottle for your effort in being environmentally friendly...

The staff is amazing they’re sweet even though they don’t speak much English, that part can be a bit challenging and confusing. It is very small rooms we were 2 sleeping in a small bed. The bathroom is very small but efficient. Very clean.They have a breakfast option for 8$, but we didn’t try it. Lots of local restaurants around it and the subway is really near. Overall our experience was great.

The price was quite affordable considering the location, so in the end you get what you pay for. The room is very small, but that is to be expected - no complaints there. The air conditioning/heating unit seemed to have a mind of its own, requiring frequent attention to keep the temperature steady. Bathroom is also tiny, but the shower giver great pressure.
Breakfast was the low point here - it is not a buffet. Instead you get a fixed menu of a big toast bread and other small basics. Basically its not worth the money - there are convenience stores and other places all around to get better nutrition and value for money.
