Arrived at hotel to check-in around 2:15pm - explained my situation where I must hurry for my meeting and requested if I can check early (standard check-in time is 3pm) since I will check-out 3 hours earlier than their check-out time (11am) - female staff said I must pay for early check-in and other male staff also said it's policy... stayed hundreds of hotels around the world and many in Japan but this is 1st hotel that rejected due to their policy. If they told me that room is not ready, I totally understand but they have all rooms ready for next guests and charging them extra money for early check-in, is insane. I am sure that they have no policy if guest checks out earlier than their standard check-out time. Felt sorry for other guests waiting until 3pm even though their rooms are already vacant and ready. Won't be staying this hotel again.

While the rooms were small by American standards, they were clean. They also provide a wide range of personal care products by the front desk, including basics like shampoo, conditioner, but also toner, sunscreen, bath salts, and even a facial mask. No extra charge. I had a bath one night and it was rejuvenating. There was still a language barrier with the staff but they were able to communicate through a nifty electronic translator. The staff would speak into a mic and the translator would display the translation in the language of choice. I thought that worked pretty well.

We have stayed at this hotel several times on visits to Japan, about once a year, for several nights each time. The staff at the front desk have always been very helpful. On our most recent visit they even noticed a mistaken double booking that I apparently made for one night through Expedia and initiated a refund at no charge. The location in the heart of Ginza 3rd Chome is excellent, though the hotel is quiet, since it is located a few steps down a side street. Cleanliness is also excellent. Yet I noticed a few features which should be improved. The seat for the desk is only a padded stool, with no seat back, so it is tiring to use. The bed in my single room was far wider than needed, leaving minimal space for suitcases. Also the covering on the bed is a single puffy light-weight blanket, which can be too hot, but the absence of a separate top sheet prevents sleeping covered only by a sheet. Overall, however, an excellent value.

Located in the heart of Ginza, this hotel is close to many train stations and department stores/shops and restaurants. The rooms are very clean, albeit a little small, but you won't be spending much time at the hotel anyway.
The service was very friendly and you are able to leave your luggage with the staff if you arrive early or leave late!

Expect the room to be small as per Japanese standards, but I only can back to my room to sleep, so minor detail.

I was treated very poorly on my last day in Tokyo. I checked out at 10:50AM and was told to insert my room key into the kiosk machine. I then left my luggage at the front and they asked me when I was expecting to return and I said 3PM. I left and returned at 2:55 to retrieve my luggage. I then went to sit at the couch area in the lobby to wait for my airport ride. At 3:20PM, I get a call from the hotel and the guy on the phone was yelling at me about not paying a late check-out fee and that if I did not pay, he would call the police. I went 10 feet from where I was sitting to the guy that was calling me and asked what this was about. He started yelling about the late check-out fee and I became confused because I had checked out before 11AM earlier that day. He looked at his colleague and then accused me of returning the wrong room key. How can I return the wrong room key when I only had one card for my entire stay? Also, they all saw me leave my luggage for almost 4 hours. So without a room key and luggage, how could I have been inside my room? The female worker said that she called up to my room and someone picked up the phone. I'm not sure who that person was since I traveled solo this time and was sitting in the lobby in the entire time. At this point, the workers realized their mistake and gave a half-hearted apology. I have been to Japan 4 times and have never experienced anything like this. What would have been a 5-star experience is now 1-star.

I do love the level of service provided by this hotel - you can see all the nice Japanese service spirit in this hotel. Many in this hotel is self service. It means if you are a first timer, you would expect a few trips to the front desk area for amenities.

The room is on the smaller size, which was a shame. There is no sufficient space for opened luggage - hence the deducted rating.

Overall it’s a good hotel and I would use again if I am travelling light.

This hotel was in a great location. Lawson's right next door, restraunts right next door, less than a five min walk to metro. Safe area and walkable to lots of shopping and food options.
Rooms and property super clean and staff was so friendly and helpful.
Rooms were on the smaller size compared to North America standards but still comfortable.

The shabu shabu breakfast was a great introduction to local cuisine. There is also a western breakfast available but you’d be disappointed as the “sausages” aka wieners. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Walkable to the subway.

It was a very nice stay. The hotel is well located. Shabu Shabu restaurant offers good quality food at a decent price, which provides a good option if it rains heavily outside.

We talked to many of the front desk staff, who were helpful and friendly. Generally, the staff speaks English, also, there was one lady, 小島/A. Kojima, who speaks fluent English and Mandarin. That really helps since my parents don't speak Japanese at all.

Location wise, this is walking distance to Ginza station along with some very restaurants. I also walked to Tsukiji Market from the hotel fairly easily. I enjoyed my stay here, but the room is definitely on the small side even for just one person. If you are traveling as a couple, definitely opt for one of the bigger rooms.

Not sure how this hotel is starred as 3. The room was so tiny, it was more of a broom closet than a bedroom. I do not recommend nor would I return to this property. The price they charge per night is absurd for what you get. Literally no space for a small luggage or even for me to walk in the room getting in and out of bed. Look elsewhere for a decent hotel. Nothing special here.

Perfect location in heart of Ginza. Very close to station and designer shopping. Also close to a Lawson, 7/11 and McDonald's. Room was clean. Liked that you could have the room cleaned daily too. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was small but to be expected in Tokyo. Enough space to fully open one suitcase; impossible to simultaneously open two. View from window wasn't nice, but not a deal breaker as the room was used for sleeping. Great value for Ginza and highly recommend.

Hotel was exactly as expected. In the heart of Ginza, and close to everything. Tokyo station is 10-15 minute walk depending on your speed. Be forewarned if you are expecting large rooms, they're not. We managed with 3 medium to large suitcases, it just took coordination. We are 5'8\" & 6'3\" and it was fine. Granted used bed to work at desk as a choice. Perfect for what we needed for 3 days!!

Staff was very attentive. Check in was very easy, housekeeping staff was very friendly. They arranged to have our luggage forwarded to Kyoto, which was the 3rd leg of our trip. Price for forwarding out bags was exceptional. Location is close to shopping, dining and transportation. The only thing that took some getting used to is how small hotel rooms are in Japan.

I enjoyed my stay Sotetsu Fresa Inn Ginza 3-chome. It's almost a straight-line from the JR Yurakucho Station and is close to a couple of different Tokyo Metro stations. The rooms don't have much space for luggage but are otherwise fine as far as bed and bathroom are concerned. Facilities were clean and staff was friendly. As is the standard now, various amenities can be picked up in the lobby. The all-in-one clothes washer/dryer worked and was reasonably priced but beware overloading the units. They're small capacity compared to US washers and dryers and will not properly dry clothes if you exceed the capacity guidelines.

Be aware that the room was extremely small. There were 2 of us so it’s very hard to move around when trying to unpack or pack. There’s a side table on the bed which you may knock your head when sleeping. I think it’s ok if you are alone but certainly not two in a room.

Great location to stay at in Ginza. Transportation is quite accessible to the location and there’s many shops around like convenience stores to walk to. The hotel room was clean and had nice amenities. I would say that the rooms are typically very small and enough for having one luggage open at a time. The front desk was very polite and helpful in trying to get my group sorted with luggage retrieval and delivery.

Very nice hotel in Ginza, close to many restaurants and stores, with attentive front desk staff. The price was reasonable. My young adult son traveled with me and we each had a double room, single occupancy. Each room was exactly as pictured in the advertisement. But the room size was too small for a reading chair and the only chair in each room was a stool with no back. Therefore I had to sit on the bed to read. The reception area has some chairs, but it is a bit too noisy with customers and music as a place to read. We have stayed at this hotel twice previously and each stay has been fine.

The room is undeniably small but was just fine for one person. It would be a stretch for 2 people even though it is marketed as a double room. Theres barely space for one big luggage so if you have more, that would be hard. Otherwise, everything was great and clean. There were amenities you could grab from the lobby. Appreciated the facial mask and bath powder! There was a paid washer and dryer which i did not use but would be great for longer stays. Theres also a shared microwave which was nice.

The location is good and walking distance to a few transport lines. It was within 15 to 30 mins to shibuya, shinjuku, akasaka, odaiba. But given how big the station is, do factor in at least 10 mins to walk to the platform. And please follow google maps for the exit routes. Some exits may be closed at certain times, or not accessible to certain subway lines (you'll have to pay for another ride to get out of the wrong line). Plenty of shopping all around the area!

Every staff member who helped us from checking in to checking out to sending our suitcases to our next location were extremely kind, professional, and patient. The location itself was comfortable and clean. Compared to other budget friendly hotels, our room at Sotetsu had enough space to fit a stroller, two large suitcases, and two carry-ons with room to spare lol. It was also a few minutes walk away from the Tsukiji Market and the shopping district of Ginza. Highly recommend :)
