I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Tokyo! The breakfast is Japanese-style rather than American, and I actually loved that. The room is a bit small, but it’s super quiet and just a short walk from the station, so it’s really convenient for getting to Tokyo Station, Disneyland, Ginza, and more.

This hotel offers cleaning services for stays over three nights and is a good value.

Rooms are very small, which is typical for Tokyo.

There are several other APAs in the area, so I would recommend just booking the most economical option since they all seemed alike.

Convenient location to multiple stations and convenience stores located nearby. However the mattress is pretty hard, leading to me having back pain and the bathroom is tiny. Hard to move around and without hitting a wall or bathtub/toilet.

I have stayed at an APA branded hotel before and this one did not disappoint. It was clean and quiet. The room was small, but the space was used efficiently. The hotel had a breakfast option that was very affordable and the food was good! The property was close to the metro and to the Ginza and Tsukiji shopping and dining options.

I was assigned to second floor or the hotel for 2 nights stay, the corridor is always filled with used/ unused bedsheet and hotel room supplies - daytime and nighttime - looks like it’s their storage floor. There are staff walking around and closing doors hardly even at 2am and it’s very noisy. Staff are not so polite. The district is ok though with convenient stores, subways and restaurants in walkable distance. Would not come again for sure.

Stayed in smoking room (didn’t realize when I booked it) so the smoke smell in the room was not pleasant, but that was my fault on booking. Staff was not able to move me to a non smoking room due to hotel being at capacity.

Overall the cleanliness and location were good, no complaints. Be careful not to mistake this location with another APA hotel a couple minutes walk away.

Perfect stay! Hotel room is small but honestly just fine if you plan to spend most of your day out and about. Desk is solid for working in the hotel if needed. There are PLENTY of outlets and USB ports for charging, and plenty of different lighting options. They also include everything you'll need in the bathroom including razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, q tips, etc. It's also a 5 minute walk from the nearest train station!

At check in they did not have my booking, but they were very helpful at finding me a room and helped me contact hotels.com to get a refund on my booking. The staff member who checked me in spoke enough English to help me, which isn't required but was nice all the same.
Originally I was meant to switch rooms during my stay because of the above issues, but they managed to keep me in the same room which was awesome.

Bathroom had a musty smell to it and what looked like mold in the tile grout on the walls, potentially related. Had the fan going 24/7 but the smell didn't cease.

Breakfast was ¥1200 on advance or 1500 on the day, last entry at 9:00 so if you want a sleep in you're out of luck.

Hotel is close to various stations, including JR (Keiyo line) and the non-JR subways. One stop from Tokyo station.

There is some traffic noise that gets in, not horrific levels but noticeable if your room is otherwise quiet. Sirens go by pretty frequently (or at least they did for the duration of my stay) but they were muffled enough that they didn't wake me, were just noticeable when I was still awake.

All in all a nice hotel to stay at, there are some minor cosmetic issues like stained/peeling wallpaper in places but it seems clean (other than the potential mold in the bathroom), the location is convenient, and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

APA satisfied me in both Tokyo and Sapporo

Only to realize the do-not-disturb sign was a magnet stuck on the door on check-out day, so service cleaned our room everyday with complimentary bottled water on 2nd day onward. Room is not too spacious but expected as Tokyo size; all in-room amenities were available; easy check-out.
Spoiler: I had another APA hotel in Sapporo on the same vacation trip, also satisfied, will definitely book APA again on future Japan trip.

I always appreciate the APA brand in Japan. You get pretty much everything you need eh WiFi, fridge and toiletries. This hotel was in a quiet area with not much to do in the surrounding area but was three minutes walk from the subway. One stop from Tsukiji. I think if housekeeping and maintenance was a little sharper ( by Japanese standards) I would give a perfect rating.

This hotel was at the end of a month long trip in Japan so we experienced many many hotels and realise that all of Japan has small accommodations. But this was ridiculously small. It basically fit the double bed only. We had to ring reception to take out the desk chair and basically anything they could and we could only open our suitcases on the bed. My husband and I had to climb over each other and our bags to get around the room...terrible room.

Around 5-10 minutes walk from Hatchobori station

I know Tokyo is notorious for small hotel rooms but this room was not what I had imagined. It was very troublesome for two people to walk around the room without walking into each other. When I wanted to take something out of the suitcase, my partner could not open the door to the bathroom. On the first night, the room felt very stuffy and warm. I went down to ask the receptionist how to turn on the air conditioner but i was told that they would not be turning on the air conditioner in April....and she told me to open the windows instead....but i found that it was too noisy.

The bathroom is tiny and the ventilation is poor. There is no scale to weigh your luggage, no universal adapter to charge your phone and the sound proofing isn't great... Maybe I was expecting a little more...

Moreover, the whole room has only three sockets...

I paid roughly the same price when I stayed in Ikebukuro last year and there were better facilities.

This room is uncomfortably small.

It's like an inside cabin on a cruise ship, only smaller. The lobby is not much bigger with little room to sit. This restaurant has limited hours. The staff is friendly but very limited English. To top it off the owner of APA hotels has his own interpretation of the history of Japan and its role in WWII and tells you about it in his book prominently displayed in the room about Nanking didn't really happen. That Hiroshima was an attack on the populace without any warning by the US forces. Won't ever stay at an APA again.

Stayed only overnight as I was heading to Hiroshima and wanted something not too far from Tokyo Station. This is 2 subway stops away from the train station, in a quiet neighborhood. Room was small but functional and in very good condition. Very clean.
There's an attached cafe to the hotel, which is where you can get your morning breakfast if included.

The first 2 day was around 20 degree, but the air conditioner only provide warm wind, i try to open window but only can open a little gap.

I stay for 6 night, 1 day forgot to clean bathroom , 1 day forgot to clean the floor.

A double bed room was small, you only can open you luggage in front of the bathroom.

Not much choice for TV channel, need to paid!

Front desk only have a night-shift staff can speak limited english.

Has a fire station nearby, always heard the alarm at night.

The bed is too soft to sleep.

The front desk spoke English well enough, and even though sometimes it was difficult to fully communicate, I appreciated their effort to be helpful nonetheless.

The room isn't that big, but what can you expect from a place in metropolitan Tokyo. The location was great as there was a station nearby and there are very nice places within walking distance.

The usual high standards from APA

Pretty much everything expected from a APA hotel. Clean, functional and the usual high standards from the staff and the usual relentless focus on customer service. Hotel room and bathroom are small, but standard by Japanese standards. All the standard amenities as you'd expect from Japanese hotels. A plus point is that there's self-service laundry facilities.
I booked with breakfast and it was certainly worth it. Pretty good selection of food available. I was there for 3 nights, but lit looked like it was the same choices every morning, so that night have gotten boring for longer stays.
Location wise, excellent for getting into the action in Tokyo. It's even walkable to Tokyo station, if you were bloody minded enough to walk for 20 minutes in the sauna like conditions of July.

Nice, Quiet, and Clean hotel.

If you are heading to Tokyo, try staying at Hatchobori.

Although not much choice of breakfast (take the breakfast at the hotel),
no escalator, and no supermarket nearby here.

On the other hand, convenience store are at every corner, standard restaurants and late night ones too,
and place is quiet too.

But most of all, it is near to Disneyland only a few stop, and direct train to there.
Only 1 stop away from Tokyo station.
Direct train to Ueno for the cheaper train fare to Narita Airport.
Direct to Ginza, Akihabara, and Roppongi.
Switch only to one other train, to get to Shibuya, Shinjuku, or Asakusa.

If you are at Hatchobori station, going to Disneyland, remember to be outside the gate, and then take the staircase going down on the right to go to JR line.

The hotel is located near Hatchyobori station, a few mins walk. Just 1 station away from Tokyo station. You will see the hotel when you exit from Hatchyobori station A2 exit. Alternatively, you can also exit from A3 exit. As expected the room is small but still acceptable. It's the bathroom which is too small, hardly got any space. Didn't like their tap, it's hard to control the temperature of the water. The pillow is too flat. Free wifi in the room.

- 5m walk from Hatchobori station and a convenience store just next to it
- 10m walk from Takaracho station (the station you should go if you're going from Haneda Airport)
- 15m walk from Ginza (central shopping district)
- 10m walk from supermarket (Maruetsu)
- post office next to it
- quite a lot of restaurants next to the hotel closing at 1am so I don't have to worry about coming back late

Room:
- really small
- all the amenities I need and more
- clean
- windows next to the bed which lets me see the office in the building next to me (vice versa)
- bright lights (so I can close the curtains on those privacy-less windows)
- nice strong air-con
- nice easily-controlled hot water

Service:
- had a hard time understanding the receptionist's English
- self checkout service is a nice time-saver, just drop your room card in the box and go (since not having to talk to the receptionist)
- the cleaners tidy up really everything (even tying up my iPhone line with the plug, and lining up my shampoo, sunscreen and facewash...) (TBH that's actually a bit creepy)
- check out time is 11am instead of the usual 12nn

Nice conveient place to stay in Tokyo. ABout 10 mins walk to the fish market and very close to the Hibiya train line which goes to all the main places in Tokyo.

The hotel was great. Easy to walk to the stations and Ginza. As you will read from most reviews in Japan the rooms are small- everywhere... So if you are traveling alone for a few days it is ok. If you are not alone and staying for more then a few days I would recommend that you make sure you get a bigger room.
