Staff were excellent when we arrived and throughout our stay. Room was very clean and was cleaned nicely every day. The air conditioning was locked and the staff unlocked it after a first night of turning off and on. Even after this we had to turn on and off as the fan was quite loud.

Loved our stay there. Breakfast was good, not a lot of variety but it’s breakfast, not break-feast! The room was huge and clean. Relatively quiet except for stomping from upstairs but that stopped before 10pm. Great location, with proximity to BTS stations / airport link. Food easily found.

The location is walkable from the Phayathai BTS station. The room was spacious and clean. Make sure to bring your own toothbrush because they do not provide it. The staff are prompt in attending to your requests or concerns. Breakfast is okay, but they do not serve hot water or perhaps they just had difficulty communicating in English language. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

We were supposed to extend. Initially, we were charged 1200Baht but when I was about to finalize, they suddenly told us that it's 1300Baht. Thus, we did not opt to extend.

Lovely hotel, especially for the rating/price. Friendly staff. More modern/stylish interior than expected! Location is convenient- close to BTS and local mall including a cinema, with great street food stalls every night. Really easy to travel to main shopping areas in the center of the city and pretty much anywhere else via train, but the party area requires wrangling a bus (a fun adventure!) as it isn’t serviced by the BTS.

Close to public transport, for airport connections Phaya Thai, otherwise I was using Victory Monument. Have breakfast few times at Oasis Coffee, good place and 24hours open! Hotel looks good, nothing to complain, my room was on the 4th floor with little view of the skytrain from my small balcony. Looked everything new. On my last day in Bangkok I was bit overwhelmed from the city and I found the room very relaxing!

Disappointed with staff emergency response

Location is just 5-7 mins walk to Phaya Thai BTS station and around 15-20 mins walk to Pratunam. If you are taking a taxi or Grab you have to advise them the actual street name and that street is just one way. Room is spacious but the closet is very small and open. One thing I didn’t like during my stay is their service. I had an ankle injury one evening and needed cold compress. I asked for an ice pack or ice at least but was told to buy it from the nearest 7-11 which is about 3-5 mins away as they don’t have any. I was disappointed with how the staff response to their guest emergency situation.

An excellent base to explore Bangkok! The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. We needed help with a few things (taxi bookings, weighing luggage, printing visas) and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was also only a short walk from two BTS stations, so travel to other parts of the city were easy.

Having stayed with at least 5 other properties over the last two weeks priced at a similar pricepoint: I prefered this one the most. The staff was friendly and I felt understood when just chatting with them. They seemed overprotective policy-wise, requiring a 1000baht deposit for the room but it was ultimately fine. The areas that I'd improve which detracted from what would have been a perfect rating: the breakfast buffet seemed kinda lackluster for the price. It needed more selection. Second, like several other properties I have stayed at, the shower does not drain properly, so after about 30 seconds, I'm standing in a puddle, which I don't like. I would stay here again despite these issues.

The only downside about this property: it is located in a dark and sticky alley with some dirty water that street food vendors dumped. And it's a busy alley with a lot of traffic at shooting speed. Very scary when you walk.

One of Bangkok's best kept secrets. Literally! While located within walking distance of Victory Monument (easy bus to Don Meuang airport) as well as the train to the other, main airport, it is hidden on a tiny back street with no signs or indications. I had a terrible time finding it. Otherwise, I had agreat stay -- quite, comfortable, near shops and restaurants. A great place. Other than its hidden location, it is a very fine place to stay.

This property has been recently renovated and was very comfortable.

It is good value for the cost. The hotel requires a 1000 baht deposit, even if you prepay for the room. The deposit was returned promptly upon check out, after room inspection.

I would stay here again. It is within walking distance to the Airport Rail Link and to the BTS, Phayathai stop.

5 minutes walk to the skytrain, right in the centre of town and close to malls and decent eateries, this is a hotel I'll gladly return to in my next visit to Bangkok. The buffet breakfast in the restaurant is a bit expensive but worth every dime spent on it Happily, there are cheaper alternatives just across the street.

The room is big. We stayed in the deluxe room with balcony. Bed is comfortable. Staff members are nice, especially John, who's also a Filipino. Their USD exchange rates are really good, so we got our Baht from them all the time. Location is between Phaya Thai BTS and Airport Link and Victory Monument BTS Stations so really convenient.

This was our second booking at this really nice small hotel and I have just booked it again for next week when my wife and her son will be travelling to Bangkok again. The location is great, easy walk to the BTS, Airport link, shopping and restaurants.Our room had a balcony and a very nice shower, quiet and very clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is very nice, lots of authentic teak in the lobby and restaurant areas. The location is a \"10\", short walk to shopping, eating, and BTS. The staff was very friendly, front desk staff spoke good english (Filipino gentleman) and the room was large with a nice small balcony, Spotlessly clean. I didn't try the restaurant because you have to walkup a flight of stairs and I use a walker, otherwise I would give everything a \"10\"

I Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights, i think it's ok overall for that price, but i wouldn't stay there again in the future, the room is not very clean and smells bad. Wifi is also slow. The fridge is super noisy, i had to unplug the power cord at night.

The hotel was almost impossible to find, located down a dark alley with no signs at either end to signal its presence. Night time check in staff were not particularly friendly, and borderline rude. Having to pay a 1000 baht deposit for the room key card was completely ridiculous. Room was clean, although noisy despite being at the end of the corridor. Socket positioning was poorly thought out (had to boil the kettle on the floor).

We spent three weeks in Thailand and Cambodia, this hotel was definitely the worst. You can find better in Bangkok for the same price.

Although the check in time was 2 PM, we were allowed into the room around 10 AM. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. The hotel is less than half a mile from the metro and is very convenient to travel Bangkok by metro.Once you understand the logistics of travelling by metro, it is economical, clean and efficient transport.

The room was good size with safety box and a very big refrigerator. Hotel provided two bottle of drinking water every day which was nice. The room has nice bathroom

You must try their 199 bhat breakfast buffet since nothing is less than 100 bhat (not buffet) outside the hotel. The hotel is not fancy but offers amazing value for the money

Wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend; the restaurant was closed during our stay. Although we had one good meal there, the restaurant was not easily accessible by someone with mobility problems, so we had to find an alternative place for breakfast and other meals.

No air conditioning in lobby or corridors. Room bit shabby and in need of smartening up.

Simple, basic hotel - no complaints

Simple, basic and clean hotel. If you are not looking for something luxurious but just a place to rest after a day of shopping, this is it. Big and spacious room too. Breakfast was just ok if you are not fussy. Not a wide variety but just basic.
Walk to hotel was a little further than expected but still convenient, right between two BTS stations. Minimarts (24hrs) and Thai food stalls/restaurants within walking distance.
The only issue is taxi drivers are not too familiar with the location even if you show them the address/map. Or they may refuse to go during peak hrs cos you will have to pass by the heavy traffic location.

Ideal for both airports, just over Thb200 for taxi from DMC airport (easier than the train connections.)

Nice Quiet Hotel near BTS

Although the hotel is tucked inside a quiet alley, it's right beside Siam City hotel (or Sukosol as it's currently known as). Our room was big and clean. However the pillow was too high for me to have a comfortable night's sleep. My friend was fine with it though. The staff were not really friendly and don't wear a smile but they responded to our requests. The hotel can also help to call a metered taxi to the airport which is very useful due to heavy luggages and lack of cash at the end of the trip!

Have stayed here 4 times now having tried other options ending up with inferior locations and/or service. A 5 minute walk from both Victory Monument and Phaya Thai BTS stations although down a poorly lit soi. Both standard and superior rooms are similarly equipped and comfortable and good value. Staff generally friendly and helpful but make sure you're not paying for breakfast in the room rate unless you want it.

Stayed here for one night on a double for single usage. Hotel is located on a narrow street that might seem dodgy but I had no problems. The hotel was clean, tile floors surely helped. Shower only bathroom but separate for the toilet unlike other places in southeast Asia. Very basic amenities. Large bed. Ok TV and Wi-Fi. Staff spoke good English. Cheap room service that i never used. Would do again but Bangkok is full of properties with similar value for money.

A short walk from the Phaya-Thai Skytrain-Station and the Airport-Link, there will be a quite place for sleeping and relaxing at thishotel. The rooms are spacey enough, with safe, good shower and many tv-channels and a free internet too. There is also free coffee and drinking-water in the room available. You have only to deposit 1000,- Baht for your stay. Restaurant will open from 6 am to 22 pm and have deli-meals. The breakfast-buffet (199,-Bht) is okay but not spectacular. Nearby there is a 0-24 hours \"Family Market\" and until 2 pm a small coffee-shop with some food for the cheaper way. I will come back for sure.

Quiet hotel!

I stayed over there for 3 nights. I booked 2 rooms, both very quiet with small balcony and clean. The baby cot was clean and smelt nice. The staff is soooo friendly and try to accomodate you in any ways possible. They get you a meter cab, change currency, give you good advice on what to see. The breakfast was decent, price ok. The only thing I would have change are the matress, they are really hard and sometime it can be unconfortable. But besides that, I recommend it and would stay there again!

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Phaya Thai airport link station which is useful if you wish to use the train to and from the airport. Very good value for money and being so close to the Skytrain you can get pretty much anywhere in Bangkok quickly. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean, quiet and safe. The only real downside I found was the bed was very hard. All round a great choice for a budget hotel in one of Asia's most interesting cities.

standard room represents this hotel's standard?

arrived at 2am, checkin required 1000B deposit BY CASH. I enquired to pay the deposit by credit card but they answered that they could not cancel the deposit if by credit card! travellers arriving midnight may think money exchange is on the next day, but this hotel does not fit. went in the so-called standard room, what was surprised was that it had balcony but not facing outside! the balcony was only for smokers and for hanging washed clothes. because of such room layout, could not see if has sunshine or not. no toothbrush, small bodysoap and shampoo bottles equipped. location was not bad. ground floor decorarion was good, so the gap between the ground floor's mood and the standard room layout was so big. though such poor room with average room rate in rangnam, hotel has exaggarated that this hotel 4star rated in tripadvisor. what i can recommend was exchange ration at front desk.
i surely choose other hotel with same budget, bkk has a lot of other options without adding even one cent. wonder what tripadvisor evaluation is from

Location is average although near to the skytrain. It is not near to shopping centres at all.

Pleasant 4 days 4 nights stay =D

Tried this hotel after all the good reviews and it really turned out to be great! Clean room, excellent heated showers and super cooling air-conditioning. Service's not bad as well. Love the carpet-less floor, feels cleaner. No room slippers provided.

The blanket's super comfy but the bed's a little hard. Quiet location as well. Just pray you don't meet noisy neighbors cos every time people talk outside, I can hear almost everything.

It's easy to locate the hotel too. Once you locate \"The Sukosol\" hotel ( a black glassed building ), go into the lane with a blue sign \"Sri Ayuttaya 12\" ( in thai wordings, just recognise the 12 ), walk straight in, you'll see a big True Siam sign. However, after a long day, still have to walk into the hotel, it's kinda tiring. It's near bts Phaya Thai however if you choose to cab, just go to the main road and flag a cab. Most taxi drivers wouldn't know the best so just tell them \"The Sukosol\"/ \"Siam City Hotel\", then guide them. By 2nd day you should be very familiar with the area already.

Overall, awesome stay! Don't mind staying here again.

Quite some walk to closest BTS Station

Room is large and comfortable, staff are helpful but hotel is located in an alley which may take you some time to locate in the first try. Without luggage, it's roughly a 10-min walk to the skytrain station.

Very convenient location

True Siam Hotel is a basic, good value hotel close to Victory Monument and Phaya Thai BTS stations (and also the Airport Rail Link at Phaya Thai). The rooms of this hotel are very spacious (former apartments perhaps?) and clean, the bed was comfortable. Our room (703) faced the alley where the buses park (and idle) for the King Power Duty Free so the balcony was not really a nice place to sit but it was too hot anyway. There was no issue with noise during the night. The restaurant is not very attractive for the same reason (although food was fine) and there is no real indoor lobby - it is a budget hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very convenient hotel for an overnight stay.

Nice, clean, well-located

The hotel is very centrally-located, just a 5 minutes' walk from one of the main sky-train stations in BKK, Phayathai. The rooms are spacious, clean; there's air-con and wifi; the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money, we definitely enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone.
