Palacio Duhau is a beautiful hotel in one the nicest areas in Buenos Aires. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The only complaint I have is the small quantity and choices of the buffet breakfast. The rooms are nice and spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

My stay was excellent at Palacio. The service there was outstanding. Having a butler help with reservations and bookings was extremely helpful. I would recommend staying here. It’s very walkable to common sights nearby. The cemetery was just a few blocks away. Breakfast was great, and the room size and amenities were top notch. I didn’t realize it at the time early on but a 10% tip is customary. Don’t second guess booking this former palace (yes, it was formerly someone’s home). Tons of history here.

The room was very clean, however housekeeping wasn’t always consistent. Forgot to replace the nepresso caps sometimes and drinking classes. The check in staff and concierge very excellent. I prefer to stay in the Palacio part of the hotel the restaurant there is very pretty. The rooms are spacious great tub bidet and showers. The only complaint was one night we sat at the bar for 20 min and were not even acknowledged nor ask what drinks we like. We left to Four Season which was a short walk

Overall, Palacio Duhau is a beautiful, luxurious place. Their spa is excellent, with a 25-metre pool and great massage therapists. The only downside is the service. The main breakfast restaurant is great, with one hostess serving very quickly, with the right attitude and attention. However, the staff in the Piano Bar are plentiful but disorganised; once we waited 20 minutes for our coffee. The last disappointment was waiting 25 minutes for our bags to be brought from the room after checkout. It really depends on the person if you are cared or ignored in many situations.

Hotel was ok. We got wrong information at check in about breakfast not being included in the rate (it was), no information about a room change (when inquired were informed it was due to an upgrade to the palace, but our given room was facing the Main Street and quiete noisy). Elevator was not working properly and we got no down service in one night, when we called reception to ask for water since we did not get it and needed to go down to get it, since it wasn’t brought to our room.

we stayed there for two full weeks in a suite. first week in the old part and the second in the newer part.
the property is stunning and nothing short of gorgeous. that said, this is not a five star situation.
some things you will encounter:
- no one greets you or helps you with your luggage upon arrival, up and down the stairs (no ramp) as 4-5 men in black suits (called “security”) watch you go up struggling two flights of steps.
- no one helps you with the door getting in or out of cars, nor with an umbrella when it’s raining and you are with multiple bags.
- the wait staff at all of their dining options is hospitable but with an edge. everything you ask for (one example of a thousand was “do you have black tea?”) is met with a surprised face or a NO. they know and have black tea, but their attitude is to gaslight you as a first response. (“you want a black tea bag?”)
- they can’t help you with a reservation, not even with the restaurant down the street, nor with currency exchange
- spa: the pool is so pretty! the massages are THE WORST EVER. EVER.
- i messaged them through the expedia app about early checkin, hotel pick up, etc and they NEVER responded.
- towels are rough, shampoo & soaps are bad quality, toiletries are better on an airplane.
- mattress in our bedroom had a sinkhole.
- there’s a dog barking 24/7, crying for his life. while you sleep, eat, get the massage, watch a movie, YOU WILL HEAR THIS DOG BARK

Hotel is fine, although pitched as a classic old school hotel the reality is that they put you up in a typical Park Hyatt box. Unfortunately broken glass in the carpet of my room caused an unfortunate accident.

Amazing location and amazing check in staff. Everything about this place is just fantastic. the only concern we have is the service at the Piano restaurant overlooking the gardens. We ate or had drinks there 3 times and each time the service and servers were totally disconnected. They would bring the wine, but not the glasses, or they would bring the food and not the flatware. if you asked them for something they would definitely forget or it would come after 30 minutes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - same issue.

Classy old mansion turned swanky hotel. It was a pleasant experience in such a beautiful city. We were lucky enough to get room 402 in the actual mansion just across from their main Duhau Suite (where Trump stayed a few days after us for the G20). It's the only other room in the mansion with a balcony that looks out to the patio and lawn.

Beautiful Hotel but some issues

The hotel is amazing with great restaurant options and amazing spa. Rooms are fitting for a palace. Front desk staff was very friendly and bellman Robert was extremely nice and helpful and treated us like royalty. The breakfast staff and afternoon tea staff were friendly but very slow and unorganized. Took forever to get food and bill and my breakfast came incorrect every day. The bar permitted smoking which is very unfortunate and the entire lobby smelled of cigar smoke. There was also hammmering at all hours including 2:00 am and starting again at 8:00 am. Unfortunately these issues ruined an otherwise perfect experience.

We went to celebrate my wife's birthday. They asked about the occasion, as I requested that they send an envelope to my wife who originally thought she was only spending an hour at the spa, and received us with a delicious cake in our room. The staff was incredibly friendly and took care of us really well. It was a memorable experience.

Luxury personified

This is a Park Hyatt experience and it doesn’t fail to deliver. From the beautiful art and flowers on display in the underground passage to the tranquility of the terrace, you get a sense of luxury and peace throughout the hotel. Rooms were clean, bathrooms spacious and gym and spa area inviting for an early morning workout. The standard breakfast offering was comprehensive but the a la carte eggs with grilled vegetables on the side was a nice surprise in a city that is not known for lavish breakfasts.

The best thing about the hotel were the staff. The Concierge booked us Boca tickets, got us into an exclusive restaurant (that had been fully booked when we tried minutes before!) and did his best to get some Teatro Colon tickets for us (alas, there were no shows on the weekend we were there). They also gave us a special welcoming gift since it was a special occasion for us. A special mention for the assistant general manager, Andrea, too. We had a slight issue with our room and she dealt with the situation in a friendly, courteous and flexible manner. We’re already looking forward to our next Park Hyatt experience. Highly recommended.

The staff of the Hyatt Palace Hotel are very efficient and eager to help in every way. We only had Buffet Breakfasts there and they were very good. Their are actually two buildings associated with this hotel, one less than 10 years old, but very nice. I only mention this if it makes a difference to anyone who sees the photo of the Palace, which was built in the very early 1900's. The rooms in the new addition are probably just as good, but if it matters to anyone you probably should request a Palace room. We were content as it didn't matter to us. You can have meals in either one.

Very kind and courteous staff. The grounds are immaculately kept and the rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. The indoor pool is quite large, but the hotel doesn't have any outdoor space to enjoy the sun in your swimwear. The art gallery that connects the two buildings underground is a unique touch.
