The staff were wonderful, very helpful front desk attendants that were able to get us day of reservations at the places we wanted. The room was more plain/simple than the photos on Expedia of what I thought we were getting, but it was clean and immaculate every time we came back. The maids do a great job of servicing your room.

We ate at the restaurant once and we had a lovely server and enjoyed the food! Overall, I’d definitely stay again for the price point in Recoleta, but might request a certain room.

The property is really old and it needs renovation. The AC didn’t work and it was hell in the room. The beds were super hard. Sleeping on bricks almost. The service was hit or miss. Their were some good concierges and then some who wouldn’t even give you a time of day. There was one sever for breakfast that wouldn’t even give us a menu, it was extremely uncomfortable. It’s definitely in a nice area, but the hotel needs remodeling to make it a comfortable stay.

La atención del personal ha sido excelente y sumamente gentil. Tanto el personal de mostrador, de puerta como de cocina y comedor han hecho todo el esfuerzo pordar el mejor servicio.
Cosas que no están a la altura de un hotel de esta categoría son, la falta de una plancha para ropa, un frigobar, no disponíamos de toallas para bidet y nos dijeron que si manchábamos toallas debíamos pagarlas. Se agradece el agua cada noche, pero sería prudente dar botellas cerradas (nuevas)

Old world charm hotel with lots of class! Perfectly located next to everything Recoleta. Walkable to many things! Tropical-feel restaurant feel with a great amount of breakfast options (eggs, media lunas, etc). The bar didn't have high end liquor but that didn't matter to us. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was at your service as every whim. Very safe and a gorgeous area of the city to be in. Only a 3 star by US standards but the charm and service bumped it up in my book. Only 2 work out machines and a sauna as far as gym/spa. The terrace was being redone while we were there. Overall, an excellent stay and I'd do it again! Thank you Hotel Club Frances, you made our Baires stay very special!

We chose the hotel becayse of its location and history. Reception and restaurant staff excellent. Very disappointed with room facilities. Never stayed in a hotel where water in room wasn't standard and this was supposedly had a 5 star rating. The cost of the hotel booking through Expedia was very expensive. We also stayed at another hotel in Buenos Aires later on where the facilities in the room were superior and it was cheaper. Dinner was good, breakfast adequate. A disappointing experience sadly.

The hotel staff are amazing, so accommodating & helpful. At the front desk Natalia was very polite and we had a smooth check in & Sofia helped us with information on sightseeing. Both ladies are so kind and helpful. The door man was always smiling & polite. The lady in the breakfast area was also very nice and went out of her way to make me a hot almond milk with my coffee in the morning. There is plenty of options at breakfast. I enjoyed the fruit salad & my husband liked the omelette. On our last day we had an early dinner before heading to the airport in the restaurant and it was a good experience. Great boutique hotel in a nice area.

I stayed for 7 nights in this small, charming hotel in a lovely neighborhood. All the staff were very helpful. Because it is a smaller hotel, the service was attentive and personal. A substantial breakfast was served every morning in a pleasant enclosed glass roofed area. We ate dinner several times in the indoor restaurant with excellent food and service. The hotel has a beautiful old world decor with carved wooden panels. Recoleta is a very nice area , and we were able to walk the the famous cemetery from the hotel. I would definitely stay again at the Hotel Club

This is a wonderful hotel, located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The hotel is beautiful. We stayed in an Executive Suite which was gorgeous; the room was grand with so much room. The hotel staff is also lovely, professional and willing to help with suggestions for dining, sightseeing and anything else you may need. All is all a pleasant stay. The premiere property in Buenos Aires

This is my go-to hotel in Buenos Aires. A classic, historical, characteristic property that is also comfortable and reasonable. The staff was very helpful, especially managing our luggage storage (enabling us to enjoy the town after checkout, but before a late flight). The breakfast room is beautiful. The rooms have plenty of drawers, closets, etc. and large, comfortable bathrooms. No downtime at all waiting for elevators or getting to the front desk. The neighborhood is Buenos Aires' best.

The Hotel Club Frances is a delightful boutique hotel situated at the Recoleta area of Argentina. The area is fantastic with an array of bars, restaurants and shops, all within walking distance, along with the world famous Recoleta Cemetary. The hotel itself is tremendously decorated in a traditional grand fashion, with fabulous pieces of art everywhere, yet everything appears to be placed in a way that helps make the area feel classy and not cluttered. The hotel room I had was absolutely huge, with an excellent bathroom, a very comfortable king size bed, and spacious wardrobes. Breakfast was included in the price, and it was exceptional, with fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices that came with the regular cooked items that you normally see on the menu. The greatest asset of this hotel, however, are the staff. All of hotel staff were very friendly and really couldn't do more to help you make your stay more welcoming. They were also very proactive to my needs, for example, when they knew my colleagues, who left Argentina a day earlier than myself, were on a very flight departure, they immediately informed me that I had a late check out to suit my needs. I didn't even ask. Very good. I completely recommend this hotel. The price I paid was remarkably good value for money. All of my colleagues were very impressed as well. I will be coming back to Buenos Aires and I will definitely be returning to Hotel Club Frances.

Well located hotel, with large clean rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. Those are the positives. The negatives are that is not 4.5 star hotel, it is a 3. It is old, and Not in charming way, just about everything is dated and in of an upgrade. There is no gym, a treadmill and exercise bike don’t make a gym. The outdoor sitting area is large and something could be done with it, but it had four cheap lounge chairs upon it. The restaurant is awful, the menu is very limited, three appetizers, three main dishes and three deserts, you would think with small a menu they would serve at least mediocre food, not the case. Fortunately the hotel is within walking distance to a number of very good restaurants and cafes. Cost is not terrible for the area it Is located in, but don’t be deceived by the it’s rating, if you’re are looking for 3 star hotel located in good area, this might be for you.

Great location in the Recoleta area of the city and it's a beautiful old hotel. The staff are first class and couldn't do enough to assist from the moment we arrived.

The rooms are a good size with a large bed and well appointed bathroom, nicely decorated and in good condition. However, our room was covered in dust, when we moved a table lamp there was a large clean circle on the desk, showing how bad it was and every surface was the same.

WiFi in the hotel is hopeless, they would be better not to have it as it is even more annoying having WiFi that hardly works than having none at all.

Was also disappointed that there were no coffee making facilities in the room and no mini bar, would expect a hotel of this caliber to provide these.

Breakfast was great, the hot food is cooked fresh and delicious and good selection of cold food including an excellent fresh fruit salad.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but it was let down by the amenities and cleanliness.
