We enjoyed this hotel of course. The neighborhood is wonderful and the staff was great. The AC was a bit noisy but not so horrible that it wrecked our sleep. I hated the bedding, but I'm a princess and the pea kind of person. It was too heavy for me. I used the soft fuzzy blankets from the closet. We were bummed that we weren't told about the free breakfast option and only by chance heard about it, so we missed the first day and even paid for room service coffee. That sort of stunk, but in general it was a lovely stay, and I can't say enough good about the front desk and bell staff. They were just as sweet and smart and knowledgeable as can be.

The staff was friendly and very efficient. Our room was large and clean.
Our only gripe is that there was no place to toiletries bags in the bathroom, other than on the bidet, which seemed gross.
Not a single shelf, nothing. It was pretty annoying.

Very nice hotel in excellent location

We enjoyed our one night stay in the area at this lovely property. We arrived early in the day so our room was not ready until about 1pm. We were able to leave our bags and wander until then. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The AC worked well. Breakfast was very good and included. Our second night was spent at a hotel around the corner and was much more expensive and not really any better. I would definitely stay here again. The price, location and amenities were excellent.

The hotel is in Recoleta, which is the wealthies neighborhood in Buenos Aires, therefore it is safer to walk and dine out.
However it is further away from Palermo and San Telmo for instance, you will need taxi rides to get there.
The hotel is very nice and clean, with an impresive lobby.
Breakfast is excellent. Rooms are big and in very good condition.
Few little wrinkles with room lights, but nothing major.
We had a good time and most likely we will use it again

Hotel in great location in Recoleta area, walking distance near restaurants, cemetary and cultural centre. Breakfast ok. Airport shuttle service good value. Needs a little TLC in rooms, needed to swap room on checkin as toilet was leaking and would hear it all night. Second room couple minor things should be attended to. Didnt spend much time in room to dwell on it. Italian restaurant within hotel seems pricey, so ate in nearby restaurants.

The hotel would not allow us to check in without contacting the police to quarantine us for two weeks we had to fly out of the country to avoid this they would not cancel my reservation because it was made to Travelocity we spent hours trying to contact Travelocity and we're unable to do that so I had to leave the country without canceling my reservations for hotel or flights do do my inability to contact Travelocity either by phone or white internet

Not sure how this is a 4star hotel. They don’t have itemized bills, they didn’t have an adapter or concierge to buy us one. Their menu/drinks are very restricted and check in took almost 45min. Staff is friendly but slow. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. I’d say it’s a 2-3star hotel at the most.

Great location and very friendly and attentive staff. The air conditioning was not great, carpet in our suite was old and stained, internet was very iffy and their business center computers did not work well and the printer never worked. The bar was not really a bar. It was the room that the breakfast was served in. Overall, a nice stay.

Don't go there, it's expensive, very weak internet

I have been many times in this hotel, a frequent guest (I travel 150 days/year) and have seen how weak management can deteriorate a great place. The internet is very weak, employees reply that everybody says so but management does not do anything. I paid 450 usd for 3 nights and now after check out found that they want to charge me for a dirty towel! Horrible experience, they even charge extra for real coffee! Don't go there, there are many alternative providers in the same nbh. Good staff in the reception, bad manners of bkfst staff.

Our stay was perfect. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good, with a great variety of food and excellent coffee. Marcelo, the restaurant, is very good and serves huge portions to share. Room service was good as well. Everybody was charming and helpful. On my way to the airport,I realized I had forgotten my prescription eye drops in the room's fridge. I want to thank you for keeping them safe until I got back to get them. Will definitely return!

Este es un buen hotel aunque los cuartos son muy chicos. La comida es excellente. Se encuentra localizado en un buen lugar. Los recepcionistas dan mucho que desear. Muy pocos fueros amables y el resto parecia como si me estubieran haciendo un favor. Señores de Intersur! Entrenen a sus trabajadores que \"Atencion al cliente\" en esta clase de negocio, es todo... No cliente, no trabajo, no Intersur. Por ejemplo, llegamos de noche y la persona en el counter ni siquiera nos dio un mapa de la ciudad o de que ver en Buenos Aires, nada amable y parecia que lo fastidiaba con mis preguntas, tenia que sacrale las palabras de su boca. Viajo por todo el mundo y exijo un buen servicio y mas que todo apoyo y amabilidad sin importar como luce las personas. I truly believe that customer service needs to be improved. Thanks to all of you who were nice.

this hotel is old fashioned, don't expect too much. However, everything is spotless, well maintained, just needs to be modernised. Very well located in Recoleta. It also is quite economical. It's a decent hotel, basic but for just a couple of nights it is sufficient if you're not looking to impress your girlfriend or a business partner :)

The good, the bad, and the ugly...

The location of the Hotel Intersur is excellent and the public spaces are ok, but the rooms are in desperate need of remodeling. The halls and rooms have a moldy oder. The a/c did not work in the first room that we were given so they upgraded us to a suite... sounds good, but it turned out to have mold behind the curtains, around the windows... ugh.
Also, the rooms are small, something that's hard to tell from the pictures and the mattresses are pretty hard (good if you like sleeping on a bench).

Hotel was in a great location. Close to Recoleta Cemetery and restaurants. Breakfast was okay but the cooked part could be extended. There was only scrambled eggs and tough bacon. The fruit and cake selection was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable but I missed not having coffe or tea making facilities and there was no booklet with hotel information. All in all a lovely place to stay.

We had a suite at this hotel which was good for our 4 night stay.
Amenities very poor.........given 4 tissues in a little packet each day! Fridge stocked with 3 bottles of water only, no mini bar.

Staff looked like working there was an effort.
We booked 2 local tours thru the hotel for the 1st tour we were asked to arrive in reception at 2pm, we announced ourselves and waited, apparently the tour company phoned to say they were running late but the hotel staff didn't bother to come over to advise us, we were only notified when we asked again at reception when nearly 40 minutes had passed! We were the only people waiting in reception at this time.

Nice hotel in great location

There was a problem with us being given an incorrect room type - we booked the suite but was given standard room. It was sorted out with no problem. It is worth booking the suite having seen both room types. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Location is great, 5/10 min walk from Recoleta cemetery and felt safe walking around the neighbourhood. The hop on hop off bus stops right around the corner and is worth doing if you have 3+ hours to spare.
Overall would definitely recommend for a first timer to Buenos Aires and I would book this hotel again.

Nice quiet hotel in Recoleta.

The hotel rooms were quiet large and very quiet. Breakfast was adequate with plenty of choice,albeit a lot of sweet things.The toaster must be the worst in the world as we (nor anyone else) seemed to get the bread to toast.Area is very safe to walk around at night and while it is not the centre of Buenos Aries nightlife there are bars and restaurants close by.We did several organised trips and were picked up and dropped back at the hotel .Ther is agym and roof terrace at the top of the hotel which we only discovered late on.Hotel could do with a brochure listing all their facilities and those locally available.The lack of a bar in the hotel was pity as was the absence of coffee making facoilities in the room.However, overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was very basic as was the rest of the hotel. Room had very little if any decor and looked into an inner light shaft that was not pretty. The best part is Marcelo, the Italian restaurant downstairs, although it is not associated with the hotel. First rate cuisine.

Good localization, not very nice staff.

I went for a meeting and stayed five days with my wife
Some people on the front desk are nice, others not very helpfull. Gym should be open by 8:00 am, but on a particular day openned only at 11:00 am.
They do not have room service after 11:00 pm.
One day I changed money, on the other day my wife was told changing money is not allowed!
If you take a shower the bathroom is all wet because the watter pass through the shield.
The good part of my staying was the restaurant Marcelo. Very nice food, good staff and good price.
