It definitely has everything that it says it does (IE: hot tub, pool and breafast, etc.). The hot tub looked grubby and the entire place smelled like chlorine. My room was on the 2nd floor towards the back and you could still smell it. The hand sanitizer station by the breakfast was empty and when we asked the front desk person, they simply said, \"then we're out\". Needless to say, we didn't eat. The rooms looked worn and the TV wasn't working- the person they were sending to fix it, never arrived before we left. I was fooled by the affiliation with Wyndham but, I won't be back.

Some improvements are needed....old carpet, screens in our room ripped, carpet in hallway dirty and feel almost sticky. Can hear every footsteps above you in our room.
Breakfast had very limited choices. Does have workable waffle maker.

Plenty clean where it counts (sanitary, no bugs, etc), though there were candy wrappers on the floor of our room, and a toenail on the bedside table, which necessitated a closer inspection to make sure it was indeed not filthy underlying.

We arrived late at night, booked here instead of somewhere a bit cheaper because of the pool. The pool was cloudy and by morning it was closed, so useless.

A closet door handle was hanging off (all it would take is screwing in two screws), and there was an open socket in one of the lights. Front desk couldn't find a bulb, so I had to make sure the kids knew so as not to electrocute themselves reaching for a switch.

This seems to be the way of low-mid overnight road trip spots now. Bare minimum. It wasn't gross, it wasn't buggy, but there was nothing great.

This property was in serious need of attention. While some macro changes have been made, and cleanliness was, on the surface, acceptable, every item in my room was sticky. The clientele made the property noisy at all hrs of the day and night. Breakfast was adequate. But, staff was unmotivated at best.

Saturday we had eggs, sausage, bagels, english muffins, toast, yogurt, waffles - the usual hotel breakfast. However, by 9am Sunday morning the breakfast options were slim. It's like they didn't bother to replenish anything. About the only thing that was left was a few pieces of bread, cold cereal, and oatmeal packets.

If you are traveling with kids, a room near the hotel entrance, bathrooms, and pool may be desirable, but it was rather annoying to us. We could hear kids screaming and running down the halls right up until 11pm when the pool closed.

You get what you paid for, at $95 a night it was okay, the bathroom needs work, the metal chairs in the pool area are rusted to the point the legs of the chairs are coming apart and a lot of cigarette buts on the ground just outside of the doors and the hallways smell like smoke.

As a new member of the Expedia app. I booked a King Suite, - online with Expedia, Three days prior to the night that I planned on staying at the American Inn, By wyndhamn.
I do not recommend this business to anyone, because of my past experience.
I honestly had a terrible experience here.
Immediately, when I was checking in, the receptionist told me that the room i reserved and booked three days prior was not available and i was then given a completley different room then i originally wanted and already paid for.
My room was dirty, there was a large yellow stain on the white, bedding closest to the window..
Bathroom was dirty. Toiletries we're not new, they were open.. and over half used/empty... yuckk
The front desk/ receptionist was very polite, the hottub and pool was relaxing.
Excellent breakfast in the morning!!!

The staff had a guest that was making people uncomfortable and when I brought it to their attention they said numerous others had complained, but they hadn't spoke to him. He was following single female guests with children back to their room to the point that she was uncomfortable going to her door and came back to ask for my help.

This hotel was one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed in. I arrived for my 3:00 check-in at 2:50 and was advised that there were no rooms available an to come back in a couple of hours because they had 40 people check out that morning and housekeeping was just getting started. I came back 3 hours later to be told my room was still not ready but they could give me a room on the first floor that had just finished being cleaned. When we walked into the room it smelled awful. The floors were filthy, mopped with dirty water. The carpets had not been vacuumed. There was dirt and trash on the table tops an couch. The bedding was stained. The bathroom ceiling was moldy and painted over and the vent cover had been removed exposing a dirty opening blowing dust and dirt everywhere. There was no ceiling in the closet. The bathtub and sink would not drain. People sat out in their cars all night and early morning outside the room with their music loud. This was one of the worst and most disgusting places I’ve ever stayed and it wasn’t cheap to stay for 3 nights. I am extremely disappointed.

My family loved this place when it was the Econolodge, but now it's a garbage dump. The stadium lighting outside is so bright, the shades over the windows don't help block out the daylight brightness that kept us up all night in two different rooms. The fire alarms kept going off. The staff openend all the windows in the pool area while there was a snowstorm and cold air was blowing in so fast it was a pneumonia den. The toilets back up. The room had an empty toilet paper roll when we checked in and the shower was completely out of conditioner. The breakfast was stale and we suspect that the hotel is overrun by illegal immigrants.

There really is no game room unless you count 2 pool tables and a dart board that just eats your money. The room was decent for what was paid - not exactly the cleanest I've ever experienced if you look at all the \"hard to reach\" places. No do not disturb signs and we were staying 2 nights so there was no need for cleaning but they went in our room while we were out and did anyway and threw things out that were not garbage - not appreciated. The smell is real and it will stay in your clothes/purses/jackets for weeks after - kind of a musty marijuana smell.

This is a very old hotel with a coat of paint on it. Clientele was sketchy, rude and load. They were absolute pigs in the breakfast area. People who were guests invited many people who were not. One woman came in to the pool with 5 kids. She was not staying at the hotel. The clerk was afraid to confront anyone.

Room wasn't very clean, was dried contact on bathroom floor and floor was sticky. They didn't follow the accessible note on the booking and tried to give us an upstairs room which I told them we could not do. You can hear EVERYTHING, everyone in hall and every footstep above you. Renovated rooms are nice and the mini fridge was nice. Beds are comfy, except for the very old very thin sofa bed mattress.

I have nothing pleasant to say about this hotel. The room was absolutely filthy. Gum stuck to the wall as well as in the trash can (that did not have a bag), carpet sticky, toilet clearly had not been even looked at - I know this because there was fecal matter stuck to the toilet, mini fridge had food particles in it, bedding had black marks all over it and let’s not forget that stench of weed that smacked us in the face as we walked in and continued to follow us throughout the hallway. Switched to a different room and that one too was disgusting. Wrappers in the fridge, microwave, and more. Immediately checked out! Was told I would receive a refund but I’m not holding my breath. If I do not I will be contacting the corporate office.

Awful Experience - Rooms Smelled of Weed

Worst hotel experience ever. We traveled over 5 hours with our family, including two kids, and arrived around midnight hoping for a good rest. We were given three different rooms each time, and all of them smelled strongly of weed and smoke. We ended up canceling our stay at 1 AM because no clean rooms were available.

This place badly needs a deep cleaning and maintenance, and I would strongly advise families to avoid staying here.

The only positive aspect was that the front desk staff was polite and understanding.

Another note: The hotel has no elevator, so carrying luggage to the second floor was a struggle.

First, we had a hard time finding the property as there was no signage for Wilder Inn. When we walked into the room, the first thing we smelled was body odor. The room was nothing like the pictures showed, not even close. I was not expecting anything fancy, but I do expect something like what the pictures of a single room show. I chose a “water “ room, thinking that meant we would have a water view, but that was not the case. I’m not sure what water means in this case. The shower did not drain well and we had someone else’s hair in the water that pooled around our feet. The positives were the bed was comfortable and the location was convenient.

This motel was for the most part clean and the young woman at the desk in the evening was very sweet. Beyond those 2 positives having a security light outside our window made our room lit up to the point of not being able to sleep. We stayed 3 nights never got our room tided even though they said it would be. The chlorine from the pool could be smelled everywhere. The motel is very old and needs a huge overhaul.
