The rooms were clean and well appointed, beds very comfortable. The included breakfast was varied and tasty. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Location can't be beat - so close to the hippodrome, etc. Street noise at night is constant, so you need to close the windows.

well located, near to Blue Mosque but in a busy neighborhood, taxi wasn't be able to let us by the door so we had to walk one block with all luggage over stones side walk . Room was too small with no space to fit luggage so it was expensive for that area . dirt under beds and stair walls need some paint. Restaurant has a great view but breakfast is basic

The hotel is a good options for those in transit. It is clean. Be aware about getting taxi service to the airport. Even though the staff assured me the driver had a fixed rate and paid in advance at the hotel, the driver tried to charge me extra to get to the faster route to the airport. It is unfortunate drivers are always trying to get advantage of tourists.

The services provided by staff were exemplary. Not only did we feel welcomed, anything we needed from car service, the spa, where to eat, shopping, they provided good information. The rooftop experience was the best! As well as the restaurant that was suggested. Their hammam spa, it was wonderful and we didn't have to leave the hotel!

We booked especially for the rooftop breakfast however this was extremely poor. The hours are 7.45-10.30am we went at 8.30am and not a lot on offer and was not refilled, I had plain bread with butter.

We had coffee and then went out for breakfast.

I can only speak highly of this group. After staying for 1 week, they made my feel like it was home. The staff were really tentative, happy to share conversation, gave great advice, went out of their way to get our room ready 5 hours before check in. They're such hard working, hospitable people.
They went out of their way to get my husband's dinner from another restaurant and were all round amazing and helpful, except for the guy sleeping during his shift, who also gave me the wrong pricing for our laundry which ended up costing a fortune, and the lady that gave me a massage had terrible and left the room 6 times! But to the managements defence, they offered me another massage.
The room was perfect for our needs. It was well cleaned by their amazing cleaner. We had a cute balcony to view the action below. It can be noisy but its a busy part of Istanbul, just 5 minutes walk to the blue mosque. So central to all of the tourist attractions, all within easy walking distance.
The rooftop has a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an amazing view of the blue mosque. The kitchen closes at 11 but the staff cooked for us at 10.50 pm and allowed us to take it to our room. The food was delicious, staff were feiendly and talkative. All in all, i loved my experience at Hotel Perula, the guys have shared in my memories that will last a lifetime! I would definitely recommend them to everyone and if i was fortunate enough to visit again, this would be my first choice!

My room on 5th floor was right below restaurant. There was small staircase that separated my room from the rooftop restaurant. It was very noisy from the afternoon till late night.

I complained about the noise from loud music and people talking loudly in the rooftop restaurant...especially late night but nothing was done for all 4 nights i stayed at this hotel.

Each night, the noise level was terrible until midnight or later. I was not able sleep or properly rest all 4 days and nights I stayed at this hotel.

This hotel should not be considered VIP property. That will deceive people when booking this hotel.

This hotel really needs to either close the rooftop restaurant or close all 3 rooms on the 5th floor that are so close to the restaurant.

It is not fair that after paying so much money for 4 nights stay, what I had to go through in terms of noise levels in this hotel, especially during each night.

Highly recommended hotel for many good and practical reasons:

1- In the heart of Sultanahmet, close to all \"must visit\" historical monuments at a walkable distance.

2- A mesmerising view on the blue mosque and bosphore- mornings & evenings are so beautifull and enjoyable in the roof top restaurant. Very unique view.

3- Very delicious breakfast and great service.

4- Very good & comfortable charming rooms.

5- our stay wouldn t be perfect without the permanent support of the whole staff. A big thanks to all the staff members met including the Hotel manager.

Hotel Perula was the ideal central location for site seeing in Istanbul. The hotel was only a five to ten minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia and twenty five minutes from Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. The main tram route was only a short walk from Hotel Perula.
We would certainly stay here again.

What I liked most about this hotel is its location in near proximity to SultanAhmet main attractions, Blue mosque , Hagia Sophia , Basilica Cistern , Grand Bazar and much more nice places in the area . T1-tram stop is 5 min away …. Galata port and ships to the princess islands are few stops away using T1 . Overall , recommended if you care about location . Rooms are small a bit , but it’s more for sleep .

Perfect for short stay near Istanbul's attractions

We had a comfortable stay. The room was clean and cosy and though the air conditioning took time to speed up, once that happened, the temperature was to our liking. The shower was strong and enjoyable but the shower door itself was slightly unhinged.
The rooftop restaurant showed stunning views of the Blue mosque. We didn't eat a meal there (aside from the complimentary breakfast) but drinks were expensive.
The reception was good at booking us travel back to the airport.
The hotel itself could use updated or cleaned carpeting as it looked quite dirty. The fridge wasn't super cold either.
The location was fantastic- about 350m from the Blue Mosque and not far from the other attractions either.
We'd definitely come back for a short stay with minimal amenities.

Very enjoyable stay here in 2019 and have had another great 3 night stay this week. Excellent staff, very helpful. Very clean room, bathroom. Lots of choice for breakfast. Ideal location for everything around Sultanahmet and Metro, Port etc.

A fantastic stay at Perula, excellent facilities, nice customer service from their staff. They have answer for everything and really helpful. The only inconvenient I had was with restaurant on top of it, that it's managed separately from hotel. After giving four different credit cards, they said the machine was not taking them because they were american credit cards? And when I asked why table next to us paid with c/c they told us because it was an European card! They just wanted for us to pay with cash and they just created this show to make us feel embarrassed!! Besides that, hotel is basic but staff and location was excellent.

Wonderful staff! Went with family member to tour and visit local friend. Comfy, clean and quiet accommodations. Great food on top floor of hotel with beautiful view. Front desk/hotel management was very helpful with directions and easy to communicate with as my Turkish was very limited. Great location for popular tourist sites and quick access to taxi or public transportation. Extended our stay a few more days because the hotel was a great choice.

This hotel was an excellent stay while awaiting our cruise. Although a taxi ride from the cruise port it was right in the middle of old town, 2 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and 5 min from the Grand Bazaar. Many restaurants at your doorstep. The staff were very friendly and hospitality. Are flight landed at 5am and we arrived at the hotel before 8am and because our room was vacant they let us in for a much appreciated sleep. Thank you

We had a wonderful three-day stay at hotel Perula in Istanbul. The room was very nicely appointed, featured Wi-Fi, mini-fridge and air conditioning and centrally located in Old town five minutes from the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, the Cathedral cisterns, the Gran Bazar, Topkapi palace and archeological museum among other City highlights. The hotel also features the most generous and delicious free hot and cold breakfast served on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Blue mosque and Bosphorus. Service was excellent with dedicated staff helping with everything from cab reservation to directions. We highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Hard to beat Perula's hotel location, near the main tourist attractions in town. It was great to take a rest at the hotel in-between visits. Used and loved the airport transfer option both ways, fast and on time, great service very useful for people like us first time in town. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast location has a beautiful view of Blue Mosque at Marmara Sea. We had dinner at the same place and we liked the food also.

This was a great little hotel in a perfect location (although the cab ride there is a little hectic through very narrow winding roads). Lots of shopping, close to many tourist sites (mosques, bazaars, etc). Restaurants nearby. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety. It’s not a supper high end hotel with lots of amenities but more of a boutique hotel. Exactly what we were looking for on our first visit to Istanbul. Definitely give it 10 out of 10 for what it is. Very reasonably priced. Front desk staff were fantastic- gave great recommendations, scheduled cab to airport with a fixed fare, very friendly and they spoke English. I would definitely return.

I loved that it is so close to the major tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia , Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar . My son and I walk like just a few minutes and enjoy the sights and return again for a late night walk when it is less crowded and the weather is a little more cool and breezy. We felt so safe to explore the shops and restaurants nearby too. We bought baclava and there is a small mini store where we bought water just a few steps from the hotel . The H, Mustafa known for Turkish delights is also a few minutes walk.
We called the hotel our “home “ for the 5 days that we spent this summer 2023. We started our day at the rooftop restaurant in the hotel with a free hearty , healthy Turkish breakfast with a view of the Blue Mosque. The people who worked in the hotel are all very friendly and treated us like VIP’s. If you need information about tours or transpo or where to have a safe Turkish bath they are happy to assist but do not pressure you to buy. The hotel ,though small in comparison to what we are used to , was clean and new.
When we checked out we were surprised with some Turkish souvenirs to take home.
I would definitely use this hotel when I visit Istanbul again!!!

I was very happy with the Staff very helpful when ever we asked and i will come back to stay at this hotell again. And the area was good walkable
