Hotel is in a great location, central to everything and walking distance. Newly refurbished so nice and modern. We had two single rooms which were a great size ! Balcony to the street as well. Only negatives were the showers in both our room were Luke warm and not even hot. Breakfast, the coffee , hot water machine is very noisey and doesn’t heat the water up, stays luke warm.

I would highly recommend this hotel, was central to everything. Both our single rooms also had wheelchair accessible showers and toilet.

After experiencing their wonderful property in Taormina, this hotel was a big letdown. The staff was unfriendly and at times outright rude. Access is very inconvenient—there’s no way to arrive by car, and guests are left to walk at least three blocks with luggage, as the hotel offers no assistance or service to help. Yes, it’s on the main street in Palermo, but that’s about the only positive. Breakfast was just average with limited options, and the night staff in particular were unhelpful and unpleasant. Overall, not what I expected from an NH Collection property.

Overall, we had a nice stay. The staff was very warm & welcoming. We opted to stay in a Jr Suite, which was quite nice. And, unlike all of the other hotels we stayed in while visiting Palermo, this one has decent WiFi and exceptional air conditioning. My only complaint is that the gym and steam room are not currently operational, despite their website claiming otherwise. It is highly likely that we would stay here again, just wish they had an honest/accurate website.

A week in Palermo

This is a really lovely hotel in an amazing street in Palermo. It’s made up from three properties one of which was a monastery. The staff are really lovely the breakfast was excellent and the air conditioning was superb which was fabulous as the temperature was so high. We did the bus tour and visited the cathedral which was amazing. We also did the Mafia tour which was fascinating.

We had a three night stay in May 2025. Check in was easy and after a small glitch in the room we were immediately moved to another room on the same floor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is excellent as a jumping off point. Only element missing might be a nice spot outdoors for an evening or happy hour beverage (rooftop or outside in front of the hotel).

Good stay at Palazzo Sitano

The hotel is very convenient for the historic centre of Palermo also an easy walk to Centrale rail station (we went on to Rome by train after our stay).
Room was well maintained and very clean.
Breakfast was enjoyable but slightly disorganised (had run out of knives at one point on both mornings and plates on one) but the setting, a room clearly part of the old palace with a high arched ceiling, also good coffee individually made, more than made up.
Reception staff were pleasant and helpful particularly when we needed help finding the starting point of the free walking tour (fully recommended by the way).
We would go back..

The location is probably the best part about this property. It is close to most major attractions, and many restaurants and shops. At night on weekends it is incredibly loud because you are right above the major bars. The room was not good. The bathroom had so many things broken, and it was very small and dark. The breakfast was very good.

The hotel is very comfortable but some services not working because of COVID. The night manager was extremely helpful and spoke great English (morning staff don't) and was one of the most professional hotel managers I've met- any small problem he tried to fix. It's right in the centre of Palermo. I would reccomend it here

Overall, a good place to stay. We booked what we thought was the best room in the hotel seemingly with paintings on the ceilings. No such luck! Ultimately, the room was adequate but far from special. Front desk staff were really helpful and attentive. However, no mention of our 10 euro food and beverage credit. Centrally located so close to everything you're likely to want to see. Good breakfast options.

The hotel ia situated in the best possible location, at the start of the pedestrian zone. We were travelling by car and the hotel offered us a service for parking our car against payment in a parking garage. The breakfast was in the COVID atmosphere (served fully), but was very pleasant and the choice was quite big.

The only huge negative thing are the windows in the room. Our room overlooked the main street (which was charming at first), but the windows do not close completely and the noise in the room diring the night was really disturbing. We fall asleep somewhere round 2am, as the street below us got quieter.

So, if you choose this hotel, you definitely won't be disappointed, but be sure to ask for a room overlooking inner court.

People were generally friendly at the hotel but a lot of negatives:
- Breakfast was pretty awful
- I paid for a superior room but the beds were pushed together to make a queen size, no padding to bridge the gap however
- Regardless, I had back pain after each sleep, the bed was not at all comfortable
- Parking rates are extortionate. On Hotels.com it says free, the hotel quoted 15-20 euro despite there being off-street parking for free nearby..

The room looks creepy especially that the room is dark. There is no enough lights to brighten the room. It says on the booking that there is a mini-balcony but in fact its just a window. And the window of my room is situated inside the hotel that when you open there is nothing to see. I havent slept well during my stay. I had horrible nights. The trash bin on my toilet is broken. The hotel needs maintenance or refurbishment. Whats great thiugh are the lovely staff, the receptionists that are very friendly and very eager to help. I also commend their food with a lot of choices for breakfast.

Nice modern hotel for a quick overnight in Palermo. However, we booked this property because the listing said they offer \"free parking.\" The only free parking available is on the street (and it is nearly impossible to find a spot). Be prepared to fork over €15/day for valet parking.

The people at the front desk were pleasant enough. However, the bar service was incompetent and inconsistent. Breakfast was helter skelter. The wait staff seems reluctant to make eye contact. There was no mattress pad on the bed and a simple sheet between me and the mattress was off-putting. The shower was dangerously slippery. It was a terrible disappointment.

Free parking is a few blocks away in the port. The hotel will let you know where free/pay parking is. If you want to explore Palermo on foot, this hotel is ideally situated.

Nearby access to a variety of fantastic local foods, both dining and pantry staples, are a huge bonus. Some neighborhood restaurants can be tourist traps, but many of the family owned places offer the best seafood and pasta you will have anywhere.

My stay was great in the hotel. I stayed in the junior suite and really enjoyed the space and the views from the terrace. I also tried the spa which was clean and in good condition. The massage service was also great from a third party masseuse that is done in the spa. Morning buffet was replenishing and I felt that there was plenty of options. During my week I also participated in some tours and found that this location was ideal for easy transportation or walking to a meeting point. There is a lot to see around the area. I would have to say that my favorite part of my stay was the staff. Everyone that I interacted with was genuine and professional. I felt like family. With having been a hotel manager myself, I was impressed with the service from the reception, housekeeping, maintenance, bartenders, and restaurant servers. I highly recommend this hotel!

I liked that the hotel had history o it. It was an old church, it still some parts of the church in it. We got a room in the first floor which wasn’t the best thing about the hotel. Underneath our room was a bar which we didn’t know. And that bar played music so loud that it sounded like you could have been in the bar yourself from the room. The music didn’t end until like pass 2 am. So definitely try and request the 3rd or 4th floor. Our friends were lucky enough to have stayed in the 3rd and 4th floor. They didn’t hear anything and had a goodnight sleep.

For a hotel which has so many English visitors it did not seem very welcoming to us. The room was reasonably well laid out, spacious and comfortable. It was clean and so were the communal areas. The main reception was OK and dealt functionally with our requirements. The breakfast staff were on the other hand totally rude and indifferent, completely ignoring us each day while treating other native Italian guests with full care and a higher level of service! I will not be recommending or staying here again.

Google took us to the wrong place twice so we rang for directions. Very unhelpful so we parked up and walked to find it. It took over 1 hour to find the hotel after we arrived in Palermo. Not impressed. The room was ok but very dark. The buffet breakfast was ok and it was the only place we found a member of staff who was very helpful and friendly, she was the only positive thing about the hotel. I would definitely not stay here again.

Awful hotel.. one of the worst ever
Old and dirty rooms. Very noisy and uncomfortable. The noise comes from the neon of the ceiling, from the old A/C and of course from the street. If you close the doors the room turns very hot, if you put the AC on you get only noise without any change of temperature, if you open the doors you get all the noise of restaurants down that lasts till 3am and from 6am you get all the noise of people and scooters. The rooms are very dirty and never been cleaned during our one week stay. Amenities never put in the toilet and we had to ask daily for towels and shampoo knowing that the hotel is rated 4*
Over the last 20 years of travel, this hotel is by far the worst hotel ever.

Unhelpful staff and not a good location to drive

The hotel receptionist was a rude lady who didn’t want to give us any information and was pushing us to pay 15 Euro for parking when there were other options available. We were told at the time of booking we will be able to park the car outside the hotel for half hour to unload and check in however the receptionist told us we only had two mins to remove our car. Not the service you’d expect for 3* hotel.

Location is great. Staff was lovely and they really try to make your stay the best it can be. However, cleanliness is not amazing, it could be better. Junior suite is missing few bits (i.e tissues...) And few repairs could be done.
Also there is NO parking even though you can see that it is one of their facilities on hotels.com. They work with a car park which is 15 euros per night. It is about 5/7min from hotel. The car was parked inside but found it on the public car park the next day. It also had scratches and a dent on my hub cap! not great!! Their response was \"you have taken the car to the beach \" thank God for the insurance!

Hotel Palazzo was very good - only very minor issues - bedding is just not quite big enough for the enormous bed. Wifi quality varies from room to room, we had two. A small amount of late night noise from the streets outside - but you are in a city centre. Location is fantastic - in the centre of everything. Staff very helpful. Breakfast very good, wide selection - eggs, bacon etc. fruits, cold meats, cheeses & pasteries.
We loved Palermo, lots to see on a long weekend, and not expensive. There are some very good restaurants. Taxi fare from airport was 58 euro each way, takes about 40 mins.
There is a cheaper bus service, didn't use, so not sure on timings. The taxi journey is a thrill a minute, exciting stuff, if your nerves can take it.

This hotel was nice. My only complaint is the air conditioning in the room never got cold enough making it uncomfortable to sleep. Otherwise, I really liked the room and everything was modern. The breakfast was pretty good as well. I arrived a few hours before check in so they had a holding area for my luggage, but it's not really in a locked area and I felt my bags could be easily taken.

I was visiting Palermo for the first time. The hotel was modern and had a great breakfast buffet. It also had friendly staff. The location was great for tour buses to.

Very nice stay

Very modern hotel, nice and helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Very conveniently located close to all the central tourist attractions. Restaurants around, we could hear live music until morning, but we didn't mind at all - the musician was really talented and the singing was beautiful! :)
Spacious bathroom, not so spacious room (this might be due to enormous bed which was really nice). The room design was kept in rather dark colors which was the reason I couldn't feel cozy there, but this wasn't much of a problem as we spent most of the time outside the hotel anyway. It was quite dusty in the room and bathroom, for a 4* hotel I would have expected higher level of cleanliness (bring slippers with you if you don't want dusty feet).
All in all, it was a pleasant stay, I would stay here again and would recommend to others.

NO NO NO NO NO

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here. Hotel staff was rude. They obviously did not want us there. Hotel was not clean. Bed was like a rock. A LOUD band played at night right outside of the window. Booked three nights, and had to leave. Hotel would not offer a refund and Travelocity would not assist us. Won't use them again either.
