Lovely room. On entering it smelled a bit of drains but that quickly disappeared after a short period with the window open. Gorgeous quirky design details everywhere. Lovely breakfast on the top floor with a stunning roof terrace which we would have enjoyed if we'd been there more than a night. Slightly daunting to find many stairs and no lift, but Luca was amazing carrying out bags up and down for us.

The Manager at this property, Luca, was extremely helpful during our stay. He did all that he could do to make sure we were happy with a with a great attitude. Our room had a unique music theme including a lamp made out of a French horn. It was very cool. Thanks again to Luca!

I try to be very fair always when offering the Expedia feedback after a stay, but I can't recommend this accommodation due to an AC issue. The unit was malfunctioning. It was a hot summer day and night. It took perhaps 6 to 8 hours for the room to cool down a little because the AC only let out mildly cool air from the SIDES ONLY. Not at all from the center. I had a horrible lack of sleep the night I stayed. It seemed useless until hours later. I had to use a little fan they had in the room in order to sleep some. (A space heater with a fan feature)

The bathroom is a problem, being that the shower is filled with black mold on the bottom area on all four shower walls. The bed is low to the ground, which would have been fine if it had been confortable. It felt old.

The decor is inventive, designed with musical themes such as a French horn lamp or old records turned into artwork. I would imagine that the room I was in (with a record disc on the door) may have been the only one with the broken AC, because other guests wrote lovely comments in the guest book. But you will be taking a chance on bad AC. I should also mention that in Sicily, one sometimes has to turn on lights as you progress up each floor in the stairwells. However, the first light here will turn off WAY TOO SOON, before you reach the next switch. You will be left in total darkness in a stairwell of a building undergoing heavy construction. It was unpleasant and alarming. And no warning is given about this in adv

Ad Hoc Rooms is a family run B&B which gave it a homely feel. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean, spacious and with plenty of storage space for your clothing. Breakfast had a good choice to suit all tastes and was served either in the sheared living space or the spacious veranda. During your stay you had the freedom to use the kitchen which gave you access to coffee, tea and cold water. Ad Hoc Rooms is in a fantastic location with plenty of restaurants, shops and local sightseeing on your door step.

This beautiful place is in an excellent location in the Historic district. Luka was amazing with the airport pick up, getting us settled into our place and provided an excellent breakfast. Very helpful with tips on where to go.

I loved this place. Great breakfast. Clean room. Wonderful terrace for enjoying a glass of wine. Quick walk to many places and lots of great food nearby. 8 minute walk to the grocery store. Short walk to the bus to the airpprt. They were so patient with our delayed arrival.

We had a great stay at Ad Hoc in Palermo. The location is excellent. Luca and his family are very welcoming, and communication was excellent. Room was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Roof top terrace was nice. There are 4 flights of stairs with no elevator (which wasn't an issue for us, but may be for others).

Even though there was an unexpected change (the original unit seemed to be overbooked), I was moved to “Zefiro suites”, and it was an outstanding experience. Natalia and Sergio have organized things well, and were very kind, which is greatly appreciated. The location was convenient for a short, one night stay.

Very friendly hosts - helpful with transportation and recommendations, excellent location in Centro Storico, quiet room with great A/C, nice breakfast on pleasant terrace. The room is up five flights of stairs - OK for us (even at the end of a long day of walking) and Luca was very kind in helping with bags, but stairs could be a real issue for some guests.

Luca and Natalia are excellent hosts. Very personable although you need some basic Italian to converse with Luca. Location is excellent in the old Norman section.

The hotel really needs an elevator for those unable to climb stairs.

Vi havde en enkel overnatning her inden vi skulle retur til DK.
Personale var søde og serviceminded. Hotellet ligger på 4.sal uden elevator, så det skal man lige være klar over. Værelse er fint og smags fuldt indrettet. Sengen dog ikke noget at skrive hjem om. Fællesarealer er cool indrettet og der er en fin fælles balkon.
På samme vej som hotellet er flere gode restauranter og et fedt miljø tæt på Via Roma. I gåafstand til Palermo centrale. Alt i alt fin kvalitet til prisen.

La struttura si trova in pieno centro, all’inizio di una zona pedonale, all’ultimo piano di un palazzo senza ascensore. Le camere sono accoglienti ed essenziali. l’ospitalità e la gentilezza sono tipiche della cultura del sud. C’è una splendida terrazza su cui si può fare colazione con vista su Palermo.

Room was clean and the location is nothing to complain.

El sitio es acogedor, muy bien situado. El desayuno muy mejorable, la persona que nos atendió, con pocas ganas de trabajar.
Llamamos para anular una noche a Expedia, nos dijeron que por ellos no habría problema y que si el alojamiento alquilaba la habitación, nos lo descontarían. Nos llamaron de Expedia a ultima hora y nos dijeron que no.(cosa que ya esperábamos). Pero curiosamente cuando llegamos, todas las habitaciones estaban llenas y la nuestra se estaba limpiando. Así que vosotros mismos, nos engaño Expedia o el propietario...

Nos hôtes Natalia, Lucas et les beaux parents ont vraiment été charmants et serviables. La chambre était très agréable, jolie, propre et très bien insonorisée et avec une vraie climatisation! Bons et complets petit déjeuners servis en terrasse!... La localisation est idéale dans le quartier central proche des belles choses à visiter ou voir. B & B très bien placé (central mais dans une rue relativement calme, possibilité de tout visiter à pied) dans un immeuble ancien mais belle rénovation. Très bon accueil mais difficile de se comprendre car ne parlent pas français ni anglais ( à part la sympathique propriétaire qui nous a parlé au téléphone à notre arrivée). 4eme étage sans ascenceur mais aide pour porter les valises. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Salle de bain très petite mais fonctionnelle (avec par moments une odeur d'égoût désagréable, mais possibilité d'aérer grâce à une fenêtre donnant sur la cage d'escalier). Matelas trop dur pour nous et réglage difficile de l'eau chaude dans la douche. Bon petit déjeuner avec de super gâteaux maison. Service aux petits soins. Belle terrasse (sans vue) mais le temps ne se prêtait pas à son utilisation.

This B&B is an excellent address for your stay in Palermo. I totally recommend it!
Natalia and Luca (& family) take very good care of their guests (they even found and brought my lost suitcase from the airport!). I felt very welcomed and was actually kind of sad when I had to leave their B&B, because it was so nice.

The rooms at the Ad Hoc Theme B&B are very modern and super nice and detailed and thoughtful decorated.
I felt very much at home in my room, which had a big, very comfortable bed, a little balcony, air condition, flatscreen and a big very well designed bathroom (with a rain shower). I was happy to stay in the superheroes/comic room, which is not only decorated detailled but also with a sense of humor (two big, green hands of the HULK as towel holders).

Another big highlight is a beautiful, sunny terrace, where (when it’s not raining) you can have breakfast or also spend a whole day there, just because it is such a nice place.
The breakfast buffet is a mixture of regional and seasonal food. Luca explained every speciality (which changed almost daily) on the buffet and would also make some eggs, if wanted.

The location of this B&B is perfect: 3 minutes to Quattro Canti (from where you can easily reach the cathedral, the Teatro Massimo and all the other highlights of Palermo), 10 minutes (of slow walking) to the train station and the bus to the airport is only a few minutes away in the Via Roma.

All in all was perfect stay. And I am sure I’ll be coming back.
