The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We had an early morning helicopter hike that was cancelled and we’d already returned our key. They were so kind and gave us our key back so that we could get back in the room while we waiting to see if the clouds would clear. The room was clean, felt freshly updated, and was well stocked. Great value for the price.

We had a great stay at Punga Grove! It was a perfect place to lay our heads after a long travel day. It was such a nice feeling to get out of the car with our tired, grumpy, restless kids, and be greeted with such warmth and kindness from the person at the front desk. We all perked up immediately. The loft suite was perfect for our family of five. The room was very tidy, and the beds were comfortable.

The room, I think it was an executive suite, was very comfortable and quiet. We loved that it looked into some forest so it felt very private. We ate meals on the deck. The kitchenette had all the basic tools we needed. The fireplace was extra cozy and warmed the room quickly. The jetted tub was so relaxing after a day of hiking! Overall, we loved it and would recommend and stay again.

The best accommodation I stayed in during my NZ travels. Beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, great kitchen etc. From the room, you have a wonderful view of nature from the patio. The Australian manager (can't remember his name unfortunately), at check-in, was very friendly and took the time to share the best walks and restaurants in the area. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

The only issue I had was checking out early. I ended up locking the key in the room because no one was at the front desk and there was no drop box for the key.
