While we did not use the kitchen it did look fully equipped. Lots of storage in the bathroom and the bed and pillow options were good. Lovely view from the room that would have benefitted from clearer skies. Beamish the black lab was a joy as was watching the chickens running around the property. Can defnitely recommend.

This motel was super nice & clean. It was very quiet at night as was off the main drag. The staff were absolutely lovely & accommodating. The room was very spacious, all the kitchen items were pristine & fresh looking. New carpet and the beds were all comfortable with really nice linen & duvets on. The shower had excellent pressure. The views were amazing from our unit as well. We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here. We are so glad we booked! There is so much to do in the town centre & lots of amazing eateries as well.

We loved our stay at the Mt.Cook View Motel! The room was perfect, so comfy, quiet and clean. Matt and Hannah are amazing hosts and helped us with anything we needed. They went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was awesome. We were able to catch up on our laundry at the convenient washer and dryer available. Thank you so much Matt for going out of your way to help find out about the road closures for us and allowing us some extra time in the room . We will definitely stay here again when we are back. Our stay at Mount Cook View was absolutely wonderful. The view was incredibly beautiful, with stunning scenery that made every moment feel special. Being so close to Lake Matheson and the Fox Glacier Viewpoint was a huge bonus and made exploring the area very easy.

The place itself was very clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made our experience even better. It felt peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fox Glacier.

We stayed in the standard 1 bedroom apartment and it's super spacious, there're one double and one single in the bedroom, and another double and single in the living area so can accommodate 6 people. All beds with electric blankets and there's a heater as well. All the facilities in the room is top notch. I especially like their design of all the power points and light switches at the right spots! On top of all there are two lovely dogs that come and greet us as soon as we drove in and come outside the window of our room every now and then. The location might be a bit far from town centre but most people come here with a car so no a big deal.

This was such a great motel slightly off the main town center of Fox Glacier but along the way to the popular Lake Matheson! The only downside I would list is that there was only one small panel heater in the room which was not sufficient to heat up the entire room. However, the beds had electric blankets and the bathroom had a heater so it was not a major issue.

We liked that the motel is near the town centre so getting our daily supplies was easy and is also nearer to Lake Matheson. The motel is a little dated which is understandable based on the value we got from the stay.

There were 2 guard dogs (one black and one brown) that roam around the motel. The doggos were adorable and well-trained. Some visitors may not be comfortable with the dogs but we were fine with their company.

Very relaxing and home like stay. Came in with low expectations since this was a small motel ( in my mind ). But was blown away by the thoughtfulness of the setup. Arrived late but the keys were all set up and ready for us without hassle. Comfortable room with kitchenette and upgraded interiors . Very friendly communication both prior and during stay. Very peaceful and away from the hustle of the main motorway. Would have loved to stay longer . Kids rate it higher than some of the larger commercial hotels we stayed in. Thank you!

I cannot speak highly enough of this property. It has the most spectacular views of Mt. Cook, is close to Lake Matheson and the glacier view point. The room was freshly painted, new carpets and beds were super comfy. The host, Matt is a gentleman. For my family, he moved heaven and earth to help. Next time I'm in Fox Glacier, I would only stay there. Oh and the dog is a beauty too.

Great stay at Fox Glacier

Booked Mt Cook View Motel and due to road closures from adverse weather meant we couldn't make the booked date. Spoke to Matthew at the Motel who was very helpful and provided updates to road closures. We managed to move the booking to a later date and arrived to find a very helpful Matthew and well appointed accommodation. Matt pointed out some key activities to make the most of our stay which we followed and which provided some good memories of our stay at Fox Glacier including some awesome views of the glacier. Matt also booked us for a heli flight but unfortunately the weather the next morning wasn't that helpful. With Matt’s help, we had a great stay at Mt Cook View Motel and Fox Glacier including a great meal at Betsey Jane’s.

Room was comfortable with plenty of space for three of us. View of Mt Cook could be seen from the front, but had better going down the road to reflection island. The location is a little further out of town, so we did need to drive 5 minutes for dinner. But the place was comfortable, and would stay their again if in the neighbor hood. Plenty of activites to explore.
