Severe health concerns at this resort, leaky roof, black mold, asbestos very little maintenance done unable to communicate with staff. Food was bad. Breakfast was to be included was not hotel transferred to be picked up and dropped off at airport. Did not happen. Would not recommend should not be classed as a 2 1/2 star more like a one.

We loved our stay at Bills. It's in a great position on the beach, our room was comfy with good amenities, the pool is nice and we loved the old thai style feel of the place. Yes the place is older and some building are delapidated, but post COVID we understand that it's been hard for places like this to get back on their feet. In saying that, for how cheap it was, I'd give it 10/10. We would definitely stay again.

Great pool, outdated dwelling

The room was clean. The property is outdated. Some buildings are empty and probably are not repairable. This spoils the view. The swimming pool is in very good condition and has very clean water. When on the ocean is windy and big waves, the pool is nice substitution.
The lady on reception isn't friendly.

Finally we had an okay stay!!

We booked 2 x2 bedroom (with connecting door). We got the one up the hill, next to the reception, without a view.. (the view was a big roof).. The balcony site was the garden site, where they kept their garden waste..! They were also reconstructing the rooms next door... After paying extra we got a nice newer room, very close to the swimming pool, restaurant and beach.. Much better. So finally we had a nice stay, but we had heard this comment before, so maybe hotels. Com has to write down in the reservations, there are new and old rooms.. The first few days we were almost the only ones in the resort so that made the situation extra confusing..also the whole resort needs some extra attention in maintenance. Some positives... If you have a room down under in the resort , you are very close to the quiet beach, but in a 15 minute walk on the beach, you are in the middle of the busy centre of Lamai.. The rooms were cleaned every day, with fresh water, new towels and beach towels.. Overall we had a nice stay but I would not book it again..

Don't stay here

If you are considering this hotel forget it. If you have booked and have free cancellation use it.
The photo may look ok but they do not show the 80 odd steep steps you have to climb from the pool to reception and to a large number of the units. The place is run down and in disrepair. Wifi is hard to get in the rooms and you must go onto the verandah and suffer the mosquitoes to use it. The place seems to be a home for all the stray dogs and cats that move in and out of the kitchen. There is no mini mart close by. There is a supermarket at the top of the aforementioned steps plus a good walk but they sell in bulk. A bit hard to carry a carton of beer back. To access the shop is a 15 minute walk along the beach and then you have to find a public access.

You get much for a small Money

The accommodation is nice, original and clean. Beautiful and clean swimming-Pool right by the sea. But the sunbeds should be replaced! The food in the own restaurant is good and cheap. The table-clothes would like to see water more often! (Is the three-month rainlessness to blame?)

Jungle resort next to nice beach

Stayed for 4 days located on the edge of Lamai centre about ten minute walk along the beach. Rooms were clean and basic no frills wooden lodges that have been here a long time. Easy access to nice section of beach with descent size pool and plenty of sun loungers. Must say the Black Pearl restaurant next door is great for beachfront doing. You can find better in Lamai for the price but no complaints had a nice stay.

Lovely hotel close to the beach.

Bills Resort is lovely hotel and the staff are love very helpful and polite. My only problem is the distant it is away from the main lamai strip it's either via a lane on to a busy main road or via the beach and both ways about 10 minute walk. But can't complain really just need to be aware to get transport to travel around.

Totally really nice finding

We stayed here 4 nights. Hotel has nice location, nice pool and beach. Our Bungalow was Basic but compact and clean. Restaurant at thr beach was good. Also the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Receptions girls were many times little unpolite and they can't speak even satifying english. Luckily there is one older gentleman (maybe owner?) hanging always nearby the reception who speaks good english and is always really nice and helpful. He had solution to everything.
Totally good hotel and worth for money.

Stayed 3 nights in a bungalow. Overall pretty good. We dont spend alot of time in our room when we travel. Room was clean, heard of problems with theft but we only stayed 3 nights so just did not get our room cleaned. The saftey boxes available were at the main desk and I thought that was a bit inconvenient.Food was good at resturaunt, and in the evening they do up quite a nice setup on the beach. Easy enough walk down the beach to other stores / night market. With the amount of hotels/resorts on the island I would try somewhere else if I went back.

Quirky Jungle feel huts next to stunning beach

This little resort is just lovely.Bamboo huts with slate bathrooms equipped for basic comfort with lovely mosaiced balconys. You could not get any closer to the beach with grandmother/father rocks close by and can access the shops, restaurants , bars and night markets etc in Lamai via the beach 7 minutes or via the road at the top 10 minutes.Because of its location and jungly nature setting amongst trees with bull frogs calling out loudly at night, I felt as a solo traveller it was a little dark so needed a torch to get back to resort and to my hut. It was deathly quiet after 8 oclock and there was no one about which spooked me a little but I would not have felt like that if Id been with another person and Id definatly go there again with friends as its lovely. Lamai Muay Thai boxing camp nearby is great for evening training classes 5-7pm with friendly trainers and atmosphere . Gorgeous street food in Lamai itself and Lamais location is perfect for a holiday. The resort pool , restaurant , beach etc are at the bottom of steps which are a little steep so anyone with mobility problems or with small kids may be an issue.

Great Value for Money - Excellent for Famillies

We had a joining room for kids with a lounge room in between which was perfect for us! Everything you need is there, it's just a little run down, but really, for the price it's great value! It's got aircon, tv, a pool, on the beach, and a great restaurant, so you need never leave unless you have to! Oh, and there is a Makro supermarket just across the road which is super handy. Or you can walk along the beach to take you into the main part of Lamai.

Cheap as chips but resort is a little tired

At £14 a night for a standard room you can't argue. With that though comes a tired resort in need of a little TLC. The sun loungers were rotting, I pulled one out of the shade and it fell apart. The leather covers were molding in the creases. They weren't great.
It's a little way from the main strip but only 100 BHT in a taxi. It's on a very quiet stretch of beach but sadly there's a fair amount of rubbish too. It looks like someone cleans it daily but there's so much it could do with a twice daily trot.

Fell in love with Lamai beach

Villa type surrounded by trees, a place couples will enjoy. Our room was close to the lobby building that we lounged at to access the free wifi, cooled by fans only. End of April there were Mosquitos that came out at night. Breakfast was okay. The best part of staying at Bill's was the beach. The sand is a little courser like brown sugar, the water is crystal clear. There were some flat rocks in the water that's covered in seaweed that welcomed the small fish that would swim by near your feet. The water is clean and temp is comfortable. This beach is quiet and not crowded like Patong. we found a little paradise! With complimentary lounge chairs and umbrellas. There is also a pool that I saw people enjoy, but I didn't come all the way to S.E.A. to enjoy a pool. There is a seafood restaurant just next to the resort that has the most delicious garlic and pepper fried crab. I would come back here just for the beach and crab :) beds were comfortable. The bathroom is an all in one area But it's spacey enough that the sink and toilet did not get too wet from taking a shower. There are multiple electrical outlets so we were able to charge electronics while we slept. Just opposite the entrance road to Bill's resort was the Lamai post office, helpful for lightening my backpack load.

Lovely and clean pool, wonderful food at the restaurant! We chose this hotel because last time we visited Samui, we had extremely good late lunch with drinks at the Bill's restaurant with beach view. And took a peak to pool area while enjoying food. Tasted good, looked good. Food was still great and the pool amazingly well kept and very comfy with small jacuzzi. Basic bungalows though are really basic and bit \"worn-out\" style. So if you are looking for luxurious rooms, maybe some other residence. Of course more expensive rooms might be a lot better. Very friendly personnel to take care of you;) Food, pool, beach and location at peaceful part of Samui, Lamai beach are goos reasons to choose Bill's.

Good place if you don't need modern comforts

Note: I'm a slightly high brow traveler so my comments might only be useful to those who like the finer things. This hotel is great for those who don't want a phone in their room, don't care about getting room service but just want to be close to the sand. The staff is nice but the service is no where close to what might be expected from a normal Resort. My \"resort rating\" is 2 stars but this hotel would get a 5 star \"motel rating\" and possibly a 3.5 star \"hotel rating\". Not a bad place to \"check out\" from the daily grind though. Without a phone, there won't be many outside influences.

Little dark but okay

We stayed at the bill resort for 3 nights. The whole facility is a little old but has it's charme. My girlfriend and me booked a standard room with garden view. The room was clean but a little dark, meaning there were not enough working lights. Also the bathroom was particularly small with shower basically right next to the toilet. We have to admitt though that the staff was very friendly and it was a good value for money. The location is nice and quiet and the beach is easily accessible. Motorbikes can be rented with the hotel for longer trips.

Far from town

Bill resort has a fantastic beachfront location, if you are lucky enough to be in the beachfront bungalows. We were \"upgraded\" to a superior bungalow which was a long steep walk from the beach, pool and restaurant. Bill is also a long walk from the Lamai night scene, shopping and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was good as was the food later in the day, however the service was very poor - no wonder very few people used it after their free breakfast. During our stay Wifi was only available in the lobby, this is the only hotel which has not had hotel wide wifi, in the month we have travelled in Thailand. The bungalows are a bit on the tired side, they could do with an upgrade. Our room had a big bed, but one side was against the wall, quite uncomfortable for the person sleeping on that side. Aircon worked well. There was no storage space for clothes or bags, just a wardrobe with 6 coat hangers. Overall, the beach was beautiful, but we wouldn't stay here again. We would prefer to be closer to central Lamai.

Rustic and charming

I really liked this hotel. The rooms are cabin or bungalow style. They have a great bar/grill that has free wifi and overlooks the beach. The pool is nice and the other travelers I met were really cool.
The downsides included a frog i found jumping around in my shower and that the safe lock boxes are in the lobby. Overall, I would recommend and revisit.

A quiet beach with convenient location

We loved our stay at Bill Resort. It was perfect as the beach was quiet yet we were close to everything we needed- Lamaii Beach was nice and close if you wanted to get into town and breakfast was always nice. Would have like some music around the pool at night time though we were very happy with our bungalow for the price we payed.

Very nice resort very big hill

Nice resort spread from the beach and up a hill. The pool and surrounding area was spotless as was the beach outside. The staff are polite and friendly if you make the effort. There were always staff sweeping and cleaning and mending/sanding/staining the wooden sunbeds. Food in the restaurant is nice and fresh and reasonably priced. The resort is on a VERY steep hill there is a hill route or steps to the top I wouldn't recommend for people with walking disabilities or bad health but it didn't bother us. Go to the road and turn left there are some nice restaurants that are VERY cheap within a five minute walk and a nice bar called DKs owned by a friendly couple the drink is cheap and they're very friendly. If you go to the road and turn right walk for ten min turn right then you enter the main lamai strip with lots of bars and restaurants we went once or twice it's more expensive and very lively. The rooms have aircon bath and beach towels and even a handy beach bag, they also have a fridge which is also a mini bar and the items in it are relatively cheap. Your room is clean daily if you want you just hang a sign on the door.

As my title states, this location, this type of resort, this type of service was exactly what I was seeking. It afforded a relaxing environment, a five min. walk the night life and good restaurants. Not only would I stay there again. I plan to stay there next time i'm there.

Originell gestaltete Bungalows und schöner Pool. Am Strand gibt es nur einige wenige Liegen ohne Sonnenschirm, allerdings konnten wir die Liegen/Sitzsäcke des Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft nutzen, so dass das kein Problem was. Das Resort liegt direkt am schönsten Strandabschnitt der Bucht.

Отель теряет свою привлекательность. Номера стареют и требуют ремонта. Завтраки перестали включать в стоимость, можно заказывать отдельно за 200 бат с человека, ресторан работает с 8-30 до 22-00. На лежаках у бассейна матрацы просто разваливаются от старости. Но персонал по прежднему бодр и дружелюбен, территория чистая и привлекательная.

Schöne Anlage direkt am Strand

An sich eine schöne saubere Anlage direkt am Strand. Dieser Strandabschnitt ist, finde ich, der schönste am Lamai Beach.
Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Beachfront Bungalows.
Das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Superior Bungalow - abgewohnt aber gute Aussicht

Die Bilder auf der webseite sind schöner als die Realität. Das Zimmer war sehr abgewohnt und könnte dringend eine Auffrischung gebrauchen. Es war aber sauber und das housekeeping machte einen guten job. Die Bungalows in der Anlage stehen sehr dicht beieinander, so dass der Blick nicht unbedingt gut ist. Die Superior Bungalows sind der beste deal, allerdings muß man für die Strecke zum Strand 62 Stufen runter und später natürlich wieder rauf...was gerade nachts noch einmal eine Hreausforderung ist.

ich habe als erstes meine buchung verändert und ein teureres zimmer nehmen müssen. das war dann ganz ok.das restaurant ist überteuert incl frühstück und unangepasste extrem laute musik abends und übersteuert.
weit weg vom schuss.jedoch am strand entlang schön zu gehen. 20 minuten ins zentrum lamais

J ai commandé sur le site de la sncf pour 2 adultes et deux enfants arriver dans le bungalow je m aperçoit qu il y a que deux lits un grand et un petit alors que j avais payer pour 4 personnes donc obliger de dormir a trois sur un lit pour deux avec des dras sale plein de tâches jaunes et pour se rendre a la piscine une descente vraiment très raid cet hôtel n est vraiment pas adapter pour les familles

Eine schöne Anlage die in die Jahre gekommen ist.

Die Lage dieses Resorts ist das Highlight. Die Zimmer sind sauber (Zimmermädchen sind o.k.) und bieten eigentlich alles was man braucht. (Ablagemöglichkeit/Kasten fehlen noch..)
Der Pool wird täglich gereinigt. Ein Lob dem Poolmeister! Die Auflagen der Liegen sollte man austauschen.
Das was unbedingt ausgetauscht werden sollte ist das gesamte Personal des Restaurants!
Die hätten genügend Zeit die dreckigen Tischtücher auszutauschen. Die Sauberkeit am Frühstücksbuffet fehlt absolut!!!!! Das hier so gut wie kein Mensch ein Essen konsumiert verstehe ich ! Das liegt nur am Personal !!

Vi är jättenöjda !! Backen ner till restaurangen och poolen och stranden var inte att leka med . Den var brant. Men väl värd att gå i. Restaurangen serverade mycket god mat, åt där varje dag. Hårda sängar, men ok för oss. Mycket bra ställe och prisvärt.

Hebben hier een week doorgebracht. Ligt goed centraal en alles is via de receptie te regelen. Scooter, uitstapjes etc.

Wat wel beetje tegen viel is het ontbijt maar er zit een heerlijke bakkerij in Lamai en dat is echt een aanrader!

cela fait 3 fois que nous venons au Bill, hélas, rien ne s'arrange, hôtel fatigué et mal entretenu surtout la salle de restaurant et la plage. les serveuses passent plus de temps assises au bar qu'à nettoyer cette salle, mégots, papiers, etc .... les nappes du petit déjeuner ne sont jamais changées ....... c'est désolant car cet hôtel est bien situé et pourrait être superbe

в этом районе в море действительно можно отлично поплавать, так как глубина позволяет. Персонал отзывчивый, на ресепшен можно заказать экскурсии, такси, чайник в номер попросить, если нужно. Все представляется. До магазинов, лавочек с едой и фруктами 15 минут по пляжной полосе. Расстояние до основных развлечений- скорее плюс, а не минус. Прогулки по вечернему пляжу мне доставляли удовольствие
Сейчас отдыхаем на пляже Чавенг в
центре, море совсем мелкое глубина- до бедра. В шаговой доступности все развлечения, магазины, рестораны, но на пляже слишком много торгующих, шумно, многолюдно.
Завтра вернемся в Bill resort.

Netter Urlaub

In die Jahre gekommene Anlage, mit viel Charm, sukzessive dürften die alten netten \"Kolonialstilhäuschen\" durch moderne mit viel Glas ersetzt werden.
Schöner Pool, ruhige Lage, Sandstrand gleich daneben, Ortszentrum gut erreichbar ( 10 min zu Fuß).

Helt greitt hotel, litt langt i enden av Lamai stranden.
Vi fikk hytter øverst i anlegget, det er langt fra stranden det... Hotellet er bygget i en bratt skråning. Det er bratt og langt fra de nederste hyttene ved sjøen og de øverste.
Heilt greitt hotell med service innstilt personal.

Lugnt avskilt hotell, en bit från shopping mm

Hotellet ligger lite off. Vi fick en fuljebungalow, två rum med ett sällskapsrum (vänthalls känsla) emellan. Rent och spartanskt. Själva rummet var ok men det var en lång backe ner till poolen, havet och restaurangen där frukosten serverades. Trots lågsäsong var de inte villiga att ge oss bättre boende längre ner mot poolen vilket gjorde att vi endast stannade en natt. Spartansk frukost, kaffe, rostad bröd och frukt. Långt till \"stan\"/gågatan vid Lamaibeach, med affärer o restauranger. Vi tog strandvägen dit och gick utmed stora vägen hem. Taxi rekommenderas. Bra ställe om man vill bo lite för sig själv men se till att få boende nära havet/poolen.

Bungallow superieur cote piscine,vieillot mais spacieux.Bruyant a cause des scooters la nuit.Piscine et jaccuzi biens.Restaurant et bars a renover.Ptit-dej moyen.Petite plage avec tres peu de transats.Personnel serviable sans plus.Petite cote pour rejoindre la reception.Passez par la plage pour rejoindre le centre ville.
