Had a deluxe room this trip, very clean, right on the beach and two minutes from lamai street and restaurants, very friendly staff and three great restaurants/bars on the doorstep! Rooms are basic but great AC, internet and a fridge, don’t need anything else! Will definitely return as Koh Samui is amazing!!

Stop looking now and book the Deluxe Room, Seaview at this property and you will be getting an amazing deal! The pictures on Expedia don’t do it justice. You’re literally steps away from the sand and can see the ocean from your bed. Each one of these rooms also has a couple of deck chairs and a couple of private loungers. The room itself is nothing fancy, but it’s clean and big and comfortable. They have a restaurant, bar and massage shack right at the beach as well. The staff is amazing! They keep the beach clean, which is a struggle in that area. Also, housekeeping is super trustworthy. I left some money out accidentally and they didn’t touch it. Wi-Fi was excellent, Pool is OK, but you won’t even use it if you’re in the Seaview rooms. It’s back across the road with the rest of the rooms.
You can walk to everything fun in town in just a few minutes, but it’s far enough to miss all of the noise. You will hear some music from the beach club next-door, but it’s actually kind of nice.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat, but only in the Seaview rooms! Pro tip: room number 58 seems like the best one with the best view and best lounger positioning. Call and beg for it after you reserve. If you can score that one, you win Lamai! My room might “technically” be the “worst”. Do I sound sad? They are all great.
It’s about a 35 minute taxi ride from the airport and will run you 600 baht. They don’t have a hotel shuttle service.

The hotel is right on the beach and was in an ideal location, close to many eating establishments. The room was clean and comfortable with great a/c. The place is a little overpriced but my only issue with it is that the wi-fi was slow and sometimes frozen up when too many people are using it.

Right on the beach, easy walk to the main Lamai road, great beach bars/restaurants (bamboo, red elephant and coconut) within a few metres. Room was basic but clean, comfortable bed, decent fridge and AC. Staff were lovely. Had three great weeks here exploring Koh Samui, would use again, hopefully soon !!

Nice bungalows, but the roads to them are not well lit. Most importantly, there are no beach chairs, bean bags, or anything other than sand so sit on. They do not offer towel checkout either, forcing you to use a room towel or buy one. The rooms themselves are pretty decent and the staff was generally nice. They lose out a lot by not having any beach furniture or lighting.

Pretty decent place & good value for money.
The A/c wasnt working well in the room, on complaining, the reception team made it sound like we dont know how an A/c works. Their reaction was that its good enough for us. Was pretty irritating & unbecoming.
After about 2 hours we complained again, this time thankfully they changed our room. Telling us to clear out the original room, move our luggage & come to the reception to deposit the key.
Would skip staying there again, purely on account of the condescending behavior of the reception staff.
Good beach just outside & a short 2 min walk to the main street.

Close to central part of the beach and town. New buildings. good design. Staff helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast is very bad and potentially dangerous. Food lying around in unheated trays, contents always cold and potential bacteria trap. Fortunately food looks very, very unappetizing limiting once interest in eating it. Be very careful what you eat. Easily remedied by offering freshly cooked items to order.

I love this hotel. This will be my 3rd time visiting the hotel. Each time I stay a little bit longer than the previous time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach is amazing. Eating the lovely breakfast and watching the sunrise is really something special. The pool is peaceful. The hotel restaurant food is very good and again the view is amazing. I always stay in the deluxe sea view room. The room is always clean and has everything you need. You can hear the sea from your room and some days it's hard not to leave your private viewing area of the beach. The location of the hotel is excellent for both the beach and Lamai city centre. I highly recommend this hotel

I had a lovely stay in Lamai Inn. The room was very basic. I wouldn’t mind to have better bed sheets... the one I had were seeing better times already. The location is simply perfect! 2 min from the beach, nice balcony, basic room with some charm. I will book it again.

Very close to all restaurants, market, teller machines, family mart, etc. Very long beach for walks, runs, etc. The water is not cristal clear but nice anyway. The water temperature is very hot! Many services offered on the beach, such as massage, pedicure, snacks, etc.

Check in was professional and efficient. I'd paid for an individual garden villa, which was spacious with comfortable bed, tidy, large bathroom, a/c, room safe and large veranda overlooking the garden. The breakfast was a bonus. Full hot and cold buffet taken overlooking the beach. All in all a very relaxing experience at a reasonable price.

Pretty nice stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights and was satisfied with the room, restaurant and the beach. Room was clean, hot shower(for quick showers), beds very hard (like most other places in thailand), 5 min walk to city center. The thai food in the restaurant was good, nothing special but with fair prices. Overall we could come here again but dont expect too much :)

The Lamai Inn 99 has an excellent location right in the center of Lamai Beach and a very short stroll to the town center. The hotel was clean enough but getting run down. Very old bathrooms and furniture and an extremely hard bed. It was quite curious that the staff was very unfriendly and even bordering on passively angry. I would not stay there again as I think there are other places that are still relatively inexpensive but better updated and far more friendly and welcoming, as is the norm in Thailand.

Location is quite good as close to Lamai Beach & to main street with lots of restaurants & bars around. Great resort for a relaxing getaway

Beautiful hotel right on the ocean. We stayed in a standard room which has all the basics you need except a kettle and phone (but just go to a 7/11 or family mart if you need anything). Close to the McDonalds which is a good landmark if you need to explain to a taxi driver where you are staying. Has direct access into Am Sumai Place which makes the walk to the night market or Lamai main road about 100m. Restaurant overlooks the ocean and has good food and decent prices but we ate at the night market most nights. Great massage staff on the beach at same rate as the massage parlours on the main road. Lamai has much less to do than Chaweng and the ocean is far rougher as it isn't sheltered by a sandbank or reef. Great for a relaxing holiday but if you want more markets, food or entertainment I would recommend the Chaweng area. Will still give Lamai inn five stars as they run a very good resort at very competitive rates.

We booked for 5 nights, and left after 3. Not sure what the bungalows are like, but the rooms in the building block are dark, dingy mouldy and lack basic amenities. Would it kill them to put a picture on the wall? Nice spot on the beach, if you like tons of people everywhere. THere were not enough loungers around the pool, and no towels for the beach. The tv in our room was really staticy, pretty uselessThat being said,the room had good air con, and a comfortable bed. It just wasn't inviting or very nice, kind of gave me the creeps. The people who stayed in this hotel were weird too.

On the beach without breaking the bank

Room was clean and comfortable. I slept well. Staff was very helpful. Water was fine for swimming (although it was cloudy). Bar/restaurant is a great place to sit and enjoy the roar of the ocean. Nice atmosphere. Short walk into town. Very convenient. I took songthaew between ferry and hotel (60 baht) and had no problem. Swimming pool is well-maintained.

I've stayed here several times before. The beach bungalows are excellent but this time I booked late and stayed in a pool view room. It was very good and in November there are days when the seas too boisterous and the pool is a better choice. The room was large and comfortable and well maintained.

lovely little complex next to beach

just had 10 days at lamai inn 99, its on a lovely stretch of the beach, has shaded spots to get out of sun if needed, nice little resteraunt next to beach, they have nice bungalow type accomodation, i stayed in standard room, which is ample for my needs, only slight critism i could add is the rooms have no natural light so a tad dark, nice pool, very close to resort center.

Fint opphold på dette bungalow-komplekset. Kunne med fordel tilbudt frokost. Midt på den vakre Lamai stranden, og kort vei å gå opp til sentrumsgaten. Anbefales for de som ønsker et rimelig og rolig sted å feriere. Bassenget var fint og rent, og det var ingen trengsel om solsengene.

Bar ristorante per servirti a colazione e pranzo, con annessi poffed per sdraiarti sotto ombrelloni o palme. Massaggi su spiaggia a prezzi nella norma, giochi acquatici vicini leggermente alti. Sicura, silenziosa e ben collegata, a poche centinaia di metri dalla via principale Lamai Street. Lavanderie private vicinissime ed economiche.

Hôtel sur la plage (une petite rue à traverser sans danger en fonction de la localisation des chambres), bien situé dans Lamai (proche du centre). Le mobilier est le même quelque soit la catégorie de chambre ... !
Personnel de la réception et du restaurant peu ou pas aimables.
Le petit déjeuner est non varié et insipide.
Le restaurant (j'y suis allé une seule fois) : nourriture sans gôut. Autant aller ailleurs car pleins de restaurants ou streetfood proches pour le même prix et bien meilleurs !

En revanche pas de transat ou matelat sur la plage : dommage ....

Hôtel bien situé, calme (même les chambres sur la rue car très peu de trafic), toutes sortes de commerces juste à côté ou dans le secteur

Plaktischer Bungalow mit Gartenblick. Einrichtung war bis auf den Schrank OK. Zimmer hatte Flachbildfernseher, Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher. Fön und Klimaanlage funktionierte, ware aber sehr laut.
Bungalow hatte eine überdachte Veranda mit 2 Stühlen und einen Beistelltisch. Konnte man abends wunderbar was trinken und dem Meeresrauschen zuhören. Frühstück war a la Carte und hervorragend mit Meerblick.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, liegt direkt am Strand, nur 1 Min entfernt. Das Zentrum von Lamai mit Geschäften und Restaurants liegt ebenfalls sehr nah, zu Fuß 2-3 min entfernt. Das Lamai Inn hat ein sehr gutes Restaurant, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und werden täglich gereinigt.

Innen alt und spärlich eingerichtet. Die Lage macht das aber wieder wett.
Allerdings war das Service-Personal für Thailand weder zuvorkommend noch besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mussten beim Frühstück nach allem mehrmals fragen. Sind auf Grund des schlechten Wetters fast 1 Woche früher abgereist (obwohl alles bez. war). Sind uns nicht mal beim Frühstück für das ihnen ja keinerlei Kosten entstanden sind ein paar € entgegenkommen. Haben nach Hilfe beim Umbuchen unserer Flüge gefragt. Sollten zum Flughafen fahren oder Telefongebühren bezahlen. Wollten für uns auch nicht bei der Airline nachfragen - höchstens die Verbindung herstellen. Haben wir in Asien so noch nie erlebt. Schade.

Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sauber. Die Zimmer sind schlicht aber praktisch eingerichtet. Auch sind die Zimmer recht groß. Der Strand ist sehr schön und sauber. das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit bei fragen und auskünften.

Hôtel très bien placé

Hôtel agréable sur la plage de Lamai, au calme et à 100 mètres du centre ville.
Bien que certaines chambres standards soient assez anciennes, elles sont très bien entretenues’ extrêmement propres et la literie est très bonne.
Tout l’hôtel est vraiment bien entretenu, intérieur comme l’extérieur avec sa végétation luxuriante.
C’est mon deuxième sejour dans cet hôtel et j’y retournerai, je le recommande !

Отель на Ломайе

Отель находится в оптимальном районе для отдыха. В центре, но до дороги еще нужно дойти, а там как раз все злачные места (в хорошем смысле). Брали бунгало на пляже,очень понравилось. Номер после ремонта. Море в этот раз на Ломайе разочаровало :( видно из-за январского потопа. Вода очень грязная!

Картонные стены

Нужен был отель на пляже Ламаи. Расположен хорошо - в центре пляжа. От шумной улицы чуть в далеке. Территория красивая и ухоженная. Номера большие но убогие. Вот реально убогие. Даж розеток нет возле кровати. И стены картонные. Слышно все что у соседей. Но тайцы как всегда молодцы - все чистят и убирают.

Sauberes,gut gelegenes,nettes Hotel mit Frühstück

Das Hotel liegt unweit vom Strand und nah an der Einkaufsstraße von Lamai.
Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem was wir geboten bekommen haben. Frühstück war zwar meisten das selbe aber auch ok. Wer nicht will kann in der Nähe für wenig Geld auch frühstücken.
Der Service war gut und die Mädels immer fleißig am putzen.
Unser Zimmer hatte Pool Blick. Von der Einkaufsstraße hat man nicht viel mit bekommen.
Alles im allen ein super Hotel.
Nächstes Jahr bestimmt wieder.
