Everywhere spotlessly clean. Friendly staff.
Generally quiet atmosphere within the hotel during out stay which was nice for us. Step out a few metres and your right onto the main Lamai beach road for access to bars, restaurants and shops. Exit through the rear of the hotel grounds and within a five minute walk you are on the beach.
Breakfast buffet provided ost of what you would expect-no complaints. Breakfast area and view into the kitchen all looked very clean.

Nice hotel, beware of the mosquitoes

Nice hotel in the heart of Lamai and very close to the beach.

Booked the pool room and it definitely lived up to expectations.
However this type of room and I think the hotel in general attracts a lot of mosquitoes and they even had a mosquito repellent ‘bomb’ used in communal areas during the day to help with the issue.

My only major issue was when returning my scooter (booked via the hotel), where they’d charged me for an extra day but we agreed to split the difference 50/50.

Overall good stay but the area is very busy!

Incredible stay an Am Samui Pslce. The staff are so nice and friendly. The hotel is kept so clean and the hotel restaurant is amazing.
Prime location on Lamai beach you can not beat it. You’re a few hundred meters to the best part of the beach and beach restaurants and bars. And in the other direction you a few hundred meters from the best location on Lamai beach for the best restaurants, bars and Muay Thai fights on Saturday night.
I love this place. I highly recommend it especially if you want a clean safe place to stay for you and your family.

I was originally checking out today but I love this hotel, location, staff and the food so much I’ve booked another week! There is a great gym only 10 min walk away. I love this place I highly recommend this to anyone who is a clean freak like me, the house keepers and staff keep this place immaculate. 10 out of 10 for me.
I ended up cutting my knee no one’s fault but my own, and the manager drives me 20 min to the hospital for all my appointments and picks me up as well.
My experience has been excellent.

2nd stay here, lovely big rooms, mine was facing the pool and I had quick access to the pool. breakfast was ok, eggs made to order. I can only put the poor selection down it being the rainy season and low occupancy.
Close to everything, plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep.
Beach is a short walk and is still one of the best.
Would definitely stay again

The property was pretty good. Rooms were good other than really hard bed. Due to high tides, there wasnt much for a beach, but not the hotels fault. Breakfast was across the street and yes you have to be cautious or aggressive to cross, but didnt bother us at all. Breaky was good, combination or Thai and American. Only complaint would be the repetitious and loud music around the pool. Even when there was nobody really there, it was loud. Had to request turn down a lot and normally if good music we dont mind as long as you can still talk. All in all quite happy and would return.

A short walk to beautiful Lamai beach in one direction and across the street from the Lamai Night Market to the other. This is a beautiful property with two pools, a swim up bar and is 2 minutes walk to the beach or shopping. The wifi was good. The water pressure was good. There is a tv with a movie channel and a news station (in English) for the rainy moments. The breakfast buffet was typical and had enough variety each day. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the location was great.
A few improvements I would suggest : I emailed the hotel twice to arrange an airport transfer and they didn’t reply. ( I suggest other travelers get a taxi from the airport as the hotel charged 40% more for arranging a pick up). I asked for an hour later checkout and was denied, I was told there are no late checkouts. I witnessed a kitchen staff member coming out of a bathroom stall and she didn’t wash her hands before returning to the kitchen.
The bed and mattress were good quality, although extremely firm. It was like laying on a yoga mat on tile. I had sore hips and shoulders for most of my stay. I strongly suggest mattress toppers.
The towels are for pools only. It would have been nice to have access to a towel that could be taken to the beach Or, some communication to let guests know to bring their own.
A day trip was booked and the pick up was late. I asked the lady at the desk if she would call and find out if they were on their way. As I didn’t book the trip through the hotel, she wasn’t willing to help.

None of these things ruined my stay and I would stay at this hotel again.

Our recent ten night stay in the pool access room was nothing short of fabulous.
Room was brilliant, pool excellent and daily breakfast was yum with plenty of choices.
The local area was great with everything from restaurants, bars and local markets all a short stroll away.
The beach is only a two minute walk as well.
All hotel staff were super friendly and helpful and the free WiFi was surprisingly good.
We totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The air conditioner in the room barely worked and the facilities were significantly more outdated than the pictures in the booking site showed. There were also ants all over the room, including in our bed. Additionally it said in the booking that pick up from the airport and breakfast was included. That is not the case! They offer these things but for an additional charge.

An oasis in the heart of Lamai beach.

We booked this hotel due to its location and proximity to beach, restaurants and bars etc and in both of these points the hotel didn’t disappoint. On arrival the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and this continued throughout our stay. The two pool areas are beautifully maintained and very relaxing however the beach is 2 minutes walk away so it was a tough choice where to spend our day in the sun. We would highly recommend this hotel.

A rude Female hotel staff - disgrace to the hotel

We stayed in Room 221 for one night (check-in on 11 Jan 2019). Most of the staff of the hotel are friendly, helpful and nice. However, when we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant at ground floor on 12 Jan morning around 7;15am, the female staff wearing yellow t-shirt came up to me with an angry face and shouted at me simply because we changed our table twice. Instead of asking anything wrong or uncomfortable with us when having breakfast, she just yelled at me loudly and was very rude. She did not bother to find out the reasons why we had to change table twice (changing for the first time because there was no fan and hot, and changing for the second time because of mosquitoes bites). She is a disgrace to the hotel and it should not be the way how hotel guests /tourists are treated.

Great hotel with 2 great pools. Not one where you have to get your towel out by 7am to get a pool seat which was refreshing. We had a large family room which had plenty of space, although the bathroom is very small for such a large room. A bath on the balcony was odd as you’d never use it without clothes on :). Stay in the newer section around the square pool. Nice and peaceful place, breakfast good (not the best we’ve had but enough), staff pleasant, restaurant food during the day very good. Short walk to the beach which was fine for us. Right next to great restaurants, shops etc. We will definitely stay again.

It's a good hotel with 2 pool areas and close to everything. Good continental breakfast. Surprisingly close to the beach, only 50 m. Beach is nice and was not crowded. The only thing that was not that perfect was small ants but seems to be some of them everywhere in the area. We could cope with it and think it wasn't that much of a hustle.

Nice hotel, has 2 pools. Rooms are very close to the pool, ideal for a swim.
Breakfast is ok, if you are a bread lover you are in the wrong place. They have thai food and a european dish. Egg how you want them, pancakes and cakes.
Rooms are fine, no noise from the market coming in. Market is only a few steps away from the hotel, also the beach is only a short walk.
Scooter available for rent at the hotel.

My wife and I stayed 7 nights in Koh Samui, including 5 nights in this hotel (room 309 was on highest level with the view one the main pool). Bathtub on the balcony... Great location to go out, two pools, possibility to book tours or scooters, breakfast included...

The restaurant is reasonably priced and all the staff was very helpful. We simply loved this place! I highly recommend :-)

The hotel location is the best in Lamai. Right in the middle but set back off the main road and just a very short walk to the beach

I have stayed at a lot of hotels in Lamai (been here for 3 out of the last 6 months ) and this is definitely the best in the area.

Two large and well maintained pools, housekeeping leave the rooms spotless each day and the property in general seems to be very well maintained which is not often the case in Thailand.

My only complaint would be the bed is very hard

My only complaint is how the staff don't allow you to have guests (I don't mean guests staying over or even using the pool) I was shouted at a number of occasions when i was simply dropping bags off in my room with a friend. Perfect location the beach is right on your doorstep and local evening market out the front of the hotel. Close to free Thai boxing.

I was happy with all aspects of my stay at Am Samui Palace. I had a pool side room which was good quality and convenient to the pool as you could access within a few steps of the balcony. The service from the staff was fantastic and one of the highlights of the stay. The pool in the newer wing is really nice and relaxing. The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk to the beach. The staff were able to organize everything from a scooter for the day to my taxi to the airport. I would recommend it and I will be back for sure.

The problem with the service is that was a sign on the bed saying you will need to replace the mattress if it was dirty also in the welcome pack there is a sheet listing every single item in the hotel room and how much you will pay if it is damaged. This ruins the experience of staying at the hotel.

One week enjoyable stay.

The hotel staff where welcoming and friendly. The bedroom was large and clean. The bathroom was clean with the walk in overhead shower was powerful and water hot. Housekeeping was provided daily and very good. There is a choice of two pools one of which has a bar within. This was quite a sociable area especially during the happy hour. The cocktails prepared by the bar tender were very good and the service was excellent. There are plenty of sun loungers with thick pads and head cushions. A relaxing area and very enjoyable. The beach is only minutes away. It is a long stretch of beach with bars and sun-loungers available free of charge if using the facilities of the bar/restaurants. There is a small market area just outside the front of the hotel and access on the doorstep to shops and places to eat and drink. Our room overlooked the reception/pool area and the bar music was within earshot till 2am. It didn't effect our sleep though.

From the start a friendly welcome from the the reception staff. Rooms are good but our initial room 317 was very noisy into the early hours from music on the main road. We swapped rooms to a quieter location, after that all good. Breakfast had a good variety of food, well presented. The hotel had two good pools. The beach was a short walk. We enjoyed many days using the sun beds at Baya Beach bar. Free but you have to buy a drink and food. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would return in the future should we go back to Koh Samui.

Lovely place

Stayed over a wee, had a nice room, comfy bed, nice bathroom with rain shower. Good breakfast selection daily, 2 clean swimming pools with a pool bar & lots of sun beds. Beach is only 5 minute walk away. Lots of places for food & dring in the area. Internet was very good too, would stay here again.

Nice resort

Nice pools, nice building and landscaping, great location across from lamai night markets and close to beach, excellent staff in reception.
Improvements need to be made in the restaurant. Buffet breakfast was included, but restaurant needs to improve its game, partner and i were extremely disappointed in this aspect, often choosing to eat elsewhere due to rude and lazy staff. We were told restaurant closes at 8pm, we went down at 7pm to find an empty restraunt with rude staff member making us feel uncomfortable about the time we choose to eat our dinner. All while her and the other kitchen staff are standing around with a packed up kitchen at 7pm and we have been informed of 8pm closure. Then in the morning we were the first down for breakfast hot food in the buffet was cold, partner and i missed out on a hot breakfast. Staff were present everywhere so why not be more efficient in the restaurant setting up for breakfast rush, instead of standing around talking and staring at us as we eat made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Other than the reataurant experience excellent service from reception and housekeeping and a luxurious resort.would stay here again but restaurant staff attitude must change.

Great location

Very good hotel and even better value. Situated very close to all the bars and restaurants. The beach is only a 2 minute walk from the back entrance to the hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms always clean and tidy. 2 swimming pools both very nice. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Fantastic Hotel - Great Staff

My partner and I have just arrived back from a fantastic stay in the Am Samui Palace.
It was our first trip to Thailand and the staff in the hotel were extremely welcoming.
We had a beautiful room overlooking the pool and it even had a bath on the balcony.
Daily maid service was great.
The breakfast buffet each morning had plenty of choices and we particuraly enjoyed the omelette station.
The hotel helped organise excursions and taxis for us at a fair price.
10/10 for us and I will be recommending this great place for any friends or family who visit Koh Samui

Lovely hotel in a great location \n

This hotel is a little haven of tranquility situated so close to main shopping area and restaurants at the front and the lovely beach at the back.
We upgraded to a room with a bath on the balcony which was well worth the money,
The breakfast was good, especially as they have to cater for so many different tastes.
The new swimming pool was never busy and there were always plenty of sunbeds .
The staff were friendly and helpful.

Really nice hotel, but the kitchen...

In General the hotel is really nice, the people willing to help and friendly. Just one minus was the kitchen stuff... sometimes food run out at the breakfast and watermelons have been fitted with a knife, which before was used to cut onion. Strangest taste of watermelons I have ever experienced...

Most days no hot water ....hallways sound is shocking ....wet floors so slippery ...2 pools new pool deck and tiles so bad when wet ....now pool tiles comming off sharp edges all round the pool ...pool bar run poorly ...bar staff can not get bills right ...can't find the staff 1/2 the time ..breakfast caters for Asian ..only some days you can get bacon no poached eggs ...eggs and bacon cold .. beds so hard ....good chq in good size rooms ...there are some nice staff there but over all I think 5 out of ten is all I could give .... would I go back ...no ow beack is a little walk ..not a good swimming beach ..dirty

Great resort with excellent location

The best location on Lamai beach - just in the middle of everything. We stayed from end of January till early March. Breakfast is very good with a lot of choices. Swimming pools areas are very nice. Room was kept very clean. Personnel is very friendly and always ready to go extra mile to help you. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
