Great location of hotel to the old town. Bus route right outside the front doors. Excellent range of choices for breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff on reception and throughout the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Daily housekeeping. Great spa - Finnish Sauna and Steam Room open until 11pm. Massage treatments available, although I did not use. Equipped gym also open to guests. Nice public bar as you enter the hotel. All good, no complaints. This is the second time I have stayed in the Falkensteiner Bratislava, and I would happily return.

The hotel looked great, was well decorated, decent enough breakfast and close to the old town. The spa was a welcome addition! The floor I was on had a sewer like smell in the corridor but the room itself did not luckily. The staff were friendly and I would definitely stay here again if I were to be in town.

The hotel location is perfect; just in the middle of the Bratislava Castle and the Old City. You will be in any place of interest in less than 15 minutes walking. The hotel is fancy, the room is clean, the staff is nice, and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel is your are visiting Bratislava.

Large hotel with a a smaller friendly feel, all staff were lovely and the reception staff extremely helpful ,particularly as we arrived on the 0600 night train. We were given an earlier check in at 11, dropped our bags and experienced early morning Bratislava with the guidance from the young lady on reception. The breakfast was great with a large selection of products for every taste. The room was clean and comfortable, we were on the side on floor 4 away from the main road .the bathroom was large and had all you required, we didn't use the coffee machine but it was a Nespresso with a selection of pods, fridge and complimentary water. Great beed and a good sleep .Recommended.

Bratislava old town

Great hotel, perfect for the old town, just across the road. We stayed two nights and had a slight issue with the keycard. The receptionist was very helpful in gettingbit fixed, advised us on places to visit and gave us a small bonus.
The breakfast available was outstanding, fruits, freshly made omelettes, all the standard items. Plus sparkling wine if needed!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and the rooms were nice and clean. I loved the fact there was a pillow menu. The breakfast was nice with lots to choose from, they had eggs, bacon, sausages as well as continental options. I ordered room service on my first night as I was exhausted and the burger was delicious. The only negatives were the room was too hot. Even with the heating turned off it was still very stuffy so I opened the window but then the street noise was very loud. On check out they tried to charge me for 2 items from the mini bar which I did not use. Those items were missing when I checked in to the room so just make sure your mini bar is fully stocked when you check in. The lady at reception was helpful though and removed the charge when I explained. The Location is great. A 5 minute walk to the main part of the old town. There is a subway you have to use to get to the other side of the road which I was wary of at first but its very busy with lots of people around. The room is stocked with shower gel but the shampoo and conditioner is a 2 in 1 which for me I don’t personally like so may be best bringing your own shampoo and conditioner. Overall I had a nice stay and I would come back to this hotel.

Fabulous hotel

What a great group of people work at this hotel. Every member of staff were so friendly and helpful throughout. No rush at the end of breakfast service and even delivered Prosecco to our room on New Year’s Eve and provided free drinks in the roof at midnight. It’s also brilliantly located for the calling to Bratislava old town and castle all just minutes away. Would highly recommend and we will be back.

Very accommodating

A very convenient location close to the old town and castle. The breakfast was top notch, including prosecco and smoked salmon. The staff were very helpful, bedrooms well catered and the spa is a lovely touch. The rooms are a bit dated (except the bathrooms which were lovely!), the tv old, not the most comfortable bed and the windows werent soundproof. We still rated the hotel well however given our experience. Be warned that the spa seems to be all in the nude, even though there were sheets available to cover up.

Lovely welcoming hotel close to center of Bratislava with a good selection choice for breakfast. We took the train to Viena for the day with was easily reached by bus that stop right outside the hotel

Great staff, shame about the rooms

Good hotel with very approachable staff let down by tired bedrooms, particularly the bathrooms. Very friendly, helpfull staff, a real credit to the hotel. Good lobby and breakfast room with very good array of choices a real plus. My room, which was on the 4th floor was not so good. In particular the bathroom which was in desperate need of a refurb. It was cold, had black mould at the back of the basin and the floor tiles had different shades of grouting revealing it was old and tired. There were numerous things about the bedroom that became annoying as i stayed but worst of all was the coffee machine. Yes nespresso type machine, lovely coffee, when it works, 2 broke down on me during my 5 night stay. But the hotel also supplied tea bags with the plan that if you wanted a cup of tea you used the nespresso machine to produce the hot water and then place your teabag in the cup. This just produced a ghastly coffee flavoured tea which was undrinkable ( the suggestion from one member of staff was to take your cup and teabag to the bar and they would fill it with hot water! Well-meaning but the idea of going from the 4th floor to achieve this at 6.00 in the morning when i had just woken and was in my p.j.s was really not practical (nor a sight any others would want to see) and the bar wasn't even open at that time! Why not just supply a kettle?

Well located for the old town, clean, reasonably priced and well equipped hotel. If you take a suite on the 6th floor, you have access to a very pleasant lounge area with outdoor terrace and complimentary drinks and snacks. We didn’t use the Spa, but took a look and it was modern, with a gym, sauna and steam room. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Old Town, so ideal for a short break to Bratislava, which is definitely worth a visit.

Great location!

First time staying with this hotel chain and was not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and had a desk with a double bed/twin beds. The spacious bathroom had a shower in the bathtub with good water pressure and a good amount of towels provided. Shower gel and shampoo were also provided, both smelt good. There is no kettle but there is a coffee machine which required us to run a few jugs in order to rid the taste of coffee from the water.

A 15 minute taxi from the airport, the hotel is conveniently located for the old town and the castle. The castle was 10 minute walk up the hill and the city centre is really close by; walked everywhere. There is an underground tunnel on the doorstep of the hotel that makes it easier to cross the road to town.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The spa facilities were top notch. The sauna and the steam room were really good and there is even a space to relax with sun loungers indoor as well as an outdoor space with chairs. Although it’s a nude sauna, sauna cloths are provided.

Nice location, shame about the customer service.

The hotel has a great location and clean, nicely furnished rooms. Unfortunately for us we found the customer service lacking and felt rather unwelcome. Also the bizarre lack of privacy window between the bathroom and the bedroom doesn't work for friends sharing a room, there are some things we really don't need to see. Overall a bit of a shame as we were looking forward to our visit.

Checked in online and had a QR code to show at reception. We arrived late and were given our room key promptly by a friendly receptionist. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent value and offered a great variety - delicious waffles! They have free bottles of water by the reception which was very much appreciated in the hot weather! Our room was right next to the lift but we didn’t hear a peep from it and slept great, taking advantage of their pillow menu (anatomical pillow was perfect). Great location - always a scenic spot walk to and from the hotel. Would stay again.

Fantastic! Location excellent.

We stayed in Executive room for 3 nights. Firstly, started check in online so showed the QR code to reception and they had all our details. We arrived at 11am and asked to leave our bag. Very friendly receptionist checked and gave us a room straight away. Lovely lobby.

Room was large and comfortable! Had dressing gowns and large bathroom with shower over bath. Towels changed daily and very clean! As we had an executive room we popped up to the 6th floor to check it out. Lovely! Free access 9-9pm. Free vodka, tequila or rum on tap. Coffee machine. Free coke zero, water, fizzy water, fanta and beer, plus breadstick snacks. But it has a lovely sunny roof terrace so definitely do if you can include in your room. Sauna, steam and gym also up there. Free access. Outside seating area and complimentary water. The sauna and steam are no swimsuits! Can use a towel if preferred. But be warned you might get an eye full.

Breakfast was also great. Prosecco, all juices, coffee machines. Cheese counter, ham counter, cereal area, wafffke, pastry and bread station. Cooked food and omlettes made to order while you wait. Plentiful and delicious.

I mostly wanted location. Very close to the centre. You step out the door and under an underpass straight into the old town. The underpass was brightly lit with a camera. We didnt feel unsafe at all. Literally 5 minutes to the main old town centre where we ate and drank. Fantastic hotel.

The hotel is excellent both in terms of the rooms but most importantly because the staff is great, whether putting together breakfast or answering questions and taking care of any issues at the front desk.

The Hotel is situated at a very communicative place, on a walking distance to the Bratislava Castle and to the entrance of the Old City. In the same time there is a bus stop for the public transportation.
This hotel allows one to visit all major sightseeing places in Bratislava with plain walking and no need for transport.

Nice hotel but extremely noisy, do not recommend.

Hotel was very nice, clean and in a great location. However, the hotel hosted a private event and our room was bombarded with loud music until after 1am. Front desk did nothing and was not honest about how long the party would last. They really didn't seem to care that guests were disturbed.

Excelente servicio por parte del staff, disfrutamos muchísimo el sauna y el servicio por parte de la persona del spa, en la mañana hay café gratis y tienen botellitas de agua gratis también , el desayuno está bien, el hotel está a pasos del centro es solo cruzar la calle por las escaleras y a unos 10 minutos del castillo, del spa hay una vista espectacular al castillo. Lo recomiendo

This hotel is in a great location, close to public transport and within short walking distance to the main square. The hotel was nice and very clean and has nice gym facility.
However, unfortunately I cannot reccomend this hotel. We had issues during our stay that were not addressed when we reported them to the staff. First of all, the curtains in our room were broken and not connected to the curtain rail. We had to fix this ourselves. The tv did not turn on when we first arrived. This issue was adressed and fixed the next day. The plug in the bath did not work so we could not take a bath. We told the reception staff about this and nothing was done. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the bath and we couldnt use it. We told staff about this again when leaving and the only thing offered to us was a free drink at the bar, but we were leaving and couldnt use it. We were let down by our stay here.

Great location, comfortable room, superb breakfast

Great location with easy walk to the heart of the old city and to the castle. My room was great. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar staff could have been a bit more attentive, and sometimes disappeared. I also enjoyed the very generous breakfast with attentive service. The spa and fitness center were also excellent and I enjoyed the sauna and steam room as well as the exercise equipment. It wasn't in there advertisement, but the hotel should mention that they are just three stops away on the #93 bus from the main rail station. I walked to the hotel (20 minutes) but figured out the bus going back to the station. Very convenient for my next visit, and I hope to go back again.

The hotel is very well-located and service was very good overall. The only issue were: the key card not working so had to go back to the reception 3 times during 2 days as it would not open the door. Also, the airconditioning system is mainly cenrallly-controlled, so it was quite hot at night. Perfect breakfast and nice staff though!

Lovely hotel in a good location. Friendly staff and a fantastic buffet breakfast with good vegan options.

The gym was a little outdated but the saunas were great. There is a nice little area beside the spa where you can relax with some excellent rooftop views.

Really nice hotel, room was clean and modern, breakfast was good. Only bad point, the quilt is a single on a double bed and then you get another spare single quilt in the wardrobe, asked at reception but this is all they have.

Good location.hotel was clean.reception was a mix some helpful some not so helpful. mentioned to manager in separate review.room was clean but warm some noise even up on fifth floor.could hear the road traffic and foot traffic during the night.window was open in room at check in which was strange but became clear as it was too warm but leaving open all night not an option with the noise.roof lounge is at separate fee to access not mentioned during check in.hotel bar food was nice good service from the bar staff.

The stress ... ruined the hotel's good view

The stay was O.K. ,but when they book a taxi for us, for the airport, our experience was traumatic. We were waiting for the TAXI for 40 minutes but the taxi never came.hen they called another taxi but we almost missed the flight and we paid three times as much as we were told in the begriming. I phoned the hotel and complained about it, and they told me t they would investigate the matter and call back. After 7 days I didn't et any phone calls.
