Extremely nasty and dirty, everywhere. I asked for someone to clean the bathroom that had crusty old waste stuck in and on the toilet. This is a task that is expected to be cleaned prior to renting a space. Thank goodness for cleaning sheets

The beds were not very sturdy in the room I was in. Any movement from the person above moved the whole bed top and bottom.

Was very surprised when I ordered a beer from the bar, that although you could order food from the bar, you couldn’t eat food at the bar from outside even though you were a guest in the hostel. The common area was full of people that at one point started smoking in the common room even though the hostel provides a dedicated smoking area not 2 feet away from the table they were playing at. I understand it’s Europe but have some modesty about yourself.

The room got extremely hot at night so only got a few hours before I just walked around town early in the morning as it definitely felt better.

No paper towels or hand dryer in the bathroom on the 5th floor was disappointing.

Lockers being right behind the door in our room made leaving in the morning very loud, because the door kept slamming into the lockers, so I apologize to anyone that woke up.

Wouldn’t stay again if I’m Bratislava but it’s probably great for 18-26 year old traveling groups.

Rooms were clean and beds comfy, there's a lot of bathroom traffic at some hours and towels are not included, you must purchase one - at a good price, must say. Hostel is conveniently located, there's a tram stop very close, you can even walk from the main bus station and also to the Old Town.

The hostel itself is okay, it has good amenities, such as a laundry, kitchen, bar and patio area which is very pleasant. I was in a four bed dorm on the 5th floor and the fellow guests were quiet and respectful. There was some noise from larger groups on the floor, but not after 10pm. There was only one toilet and shower to share between three 4 bed dorms which I think really isn’t enough. To use another toilet you need to go down to another floor. The building is old, dingy and dated, but not dirty.
The staff were mostly friendly, I was able to leave my luggage before check in and after check out for free. No free towel, had to pay extra and you had to put your own bed sheets on your bed too, which I’ve not done before at another hostel.
The area around the hotel is not the nicest, there’s a lot of poverty in the area and you can definitely see this. Was approached in the evening by a guy in the alley approaching the hostel asking for money. Was a bit unswerving. Was also told by another guest that the street the hostel is one’s one of the most notorious in the city. However, I felt fairly safe in the day, just keep an eye out.

Review of Patio Hostel, Bratislava

I had a great stay at Patio Hostel in Bratislava in a 6-bed male dormitory with three bunk beds. The experience was overall excellent. Each guest gets a locker in the room with a provided key, which is very convenient. The beds were comfortable, and the hostel provides clean sheets and a towel. There's also a small shelf and a power outlet next to each bed, which is a nice touch.

A major plus was having an en-suite bathroom, making things much more convenient. However, it could have been cleaner—there was a soaking wet towel on the floor for days, which wasn’t ideal. Still, having a private bathroom in the dorm was a big advantage.

The staff was very welcoming and even offered free earplugs, which I had never seen before in a hostel—definitely a great perk! The hostel also has a free laundry service (you can use the washing machine for free), a spacious kitchen, a luggage room for after check-out, a terrace, and an attached bar (which I didn't get a chance to visit). The only downside is that check-out is at 10 AM, which is a bit early.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Patio Hostel and would definitely recommend it to other travelers!

For me this is an almost perfect trip in my entire Europe trip. Too bad, I am only staying for one night and never had a full Bratislava experience. I enjoyed the free laundry service as well as an access to kitchen with entertainment and the luggage is free. I am definitely considering my official stay whenever I am in Bratislava.

The hostel is a perfectly serviceable place for a cheap stay that's very well located. They do have a bar, free laundry, a garden area, and a nice kitchen.

The rooms tend to be crowded and have little ventilation. During summer, it gets very hot and is difficult to sleep at times.

Still, a good bargain for your money.

Overall it was very good. Excellent location and transport links. Beds were comfortable and decent size lockers. Kitchen area is superb. Cleaning staff do a great job. This is a large and busy hostel and there are always many people coming and going. Some have said it's noisy but I didn't have any problems. I had a very pleasant stay here

Smelly bathroom

The hostel is easy to find within Bratislava.

Check in was easy and we were able to put our bags in the storage room.

The room: We stayed in a twin room with a private bathroom. For a cheap hostel it was okay although like many reviews by the evening the smell of warm dead rodents was coming from the bathroom to which every time we entered we had to spray deodorant. I'm glad we only stayed 1 night.

Towels were provided

This hostel was very quiet when we stayed (end of March)

There is a bar with board games however the staff who was behind the bar had a \"I don't want to be here attitude\" and was on her phone 99% of the time.

The bar smelt of smoke which was off putting and the tables were unbelievably sticky.

Overall I would not stay here again.

Skvělý čistý hostel v centru

Hotel je přímo v centru vedle Prioru, excellentní umístění. Obsluha milá, dole je bar, takže neruší hosty, dostal jsem free drink zdarma (mají skvělou Pálavu). Pokoje čisté, na patře tři sprchy, čisté, nové, umyté. Nemám si na co stěžovat. V pátek dělali karaoke party, starají se, je tam telka se spoustou DVD, knížkami atd. Fakt milý, levný, čistý hostel v naprostém centru Bratislavy, rozhodně se vrátím a moc se těším :). I kuchyňka skvěle vybavená, pánve, nádobí veškeré, šlo si uvařit, káva, čaj zadarmo. Not really satisfied with this noisy environment

During my arrival, the room wasn't ready on time so i was waiting at the reception. The room was ok but dusty and the worst, the night, it was really noisy when some peoples at the same floor don't care about the way to be quiet (5th floor) and think they are alone (group of peoples who speak loudly and slap the doors) , hopefully, i got my earplugs and thanks god.
Not a good impression and for my new travel, I'm gonna choose something better.

So everyone was really nice, the room was clean and so were the bathrooms. I only had one minor inconvenience, it was hot and they had the windows open to the room so they put some fans in. It was nice but someone was running a fan that made a bunch of noice and I didn’t sleep well.

Great location, easing walking around. Only problem was that room smelled like mold or something. Had to keep the window open all the time to air out. Maybe this was the only room like that? But great and helpful staff. Fun bar downstairs. Having free laundry was a big plus.

Clean and cool place at the center of Bratislava! Nice and polite staff! There where seven of us in an 8 bed dorm so we took it for us. Every floor has own bathroom,toilets and a kitchen so it's really comfortable. We liked it a lot! And about Bratislava-it's beautiful

NOT a family place but for single students ONLY

The property is should be considered as student dorm/hostel but NEVER go with your family.

smoking and drinking groups are on both sides, at the parking area on entrance and the backyard/patio, round the clock. for two nights we couldn't sleep because of smoke, smell, chanting and yelling.
Rooms are hot in the summer and you can NOT sleep with closed windows.

The shower area is \"partially open\" in a mixed hostel and so, boys are hanging around to tease!

Poor wifi, makes it useless.

Staff, uummmm....!
looks more like governmental officers rather than private business.

So, never go there with your family!

Short get away to Bratislava was fun and I felt comfortable knowing my luggage was secure at this hostel. The staff were very helpful and accommodating as well as friendly. Although the neighborhood isn't ideal and the road is pretty bad for luggage, it was close enough to the shops and all the tours and sights that make Bratislava great.

Poor place to stay

The hostel was good and close to the city center so was well connected to all transports, supermarkets, malls, restaurants and sight seeing. The room was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. However the reception service was horrible as they were encouraging indecent behavior of the other guests (drinking and giving racist and cheap comments at other female guests. I would not recommend this place for couple, family or girls.

Brilliant hostel!

I arrived at Patio Hostel and met the most charming, friendly, charasmatic receptionists called Sasha and Daniella. They were very helpful and informative about the city and the night life at the time. The hostel was clean, safe and friendly. I was surprised at how spacious it was and loved the little down lighter at the entrance which had the name of the hostel illuminated on the ground which made me sure I was in the right spot. Location wise it was perfect for going out, there was a cool international English speaking bar called Goblins within 5 minute walk also. I cannot recommend the hostel enough.

The first time I was in Bratislava and I found the hostel without navigating .Of course with the help of friendly people.In hostel I stayed two nights and the conditions are excellent, friendly hosts, clean sheets and room, hot water enough and quite quiet neighborhood. We did not use the kitchen because it is close enough delicious food and excellent coffee.

Great Staff!

The staff was the best part about my stay in Bratislava! They where very helpful and friendly! The room was fine nothing special had its essentials for a hostel room of 6. It did not have enough outlets which was trouble some at times. I was also there during a heat wave so the rooms where extremely hot but that is not the hostels fault! The only thing I was not to happy with was the internet but as most hostels it goes in and out!

nice friendly hostel but super loud

I really liked the hostel the first night as we were lucky about our neighbours and we had a good sleep. The walls of the hostel are really thin. But the second night we were woken up at 3 am by screaming baby and a dog running around at the corridor. The people wete moving their stuff for about 1 hour. During that time it was impossible to sleep due to the loud noises. I've never been in a hostel where kids and dogs are allowed so I thought that was very strange....

The hostel is good for solo travellers, not for couples/families. My husband stayed there for a night, and I booked the twin room without its own bathroom by mistake, so we had to share the toilet and showers with many other people. They only had one toilet for that block (at least 12 people sharing), so it was always the case that you have to go to another block for toilet. It was so noisy during the night, and you can't really sleep with people shouting outside the window. But again, it will be a good place for backpackers to socialize and hang out together, not for families.

Vale o que você paga. A localização é ótima, mas a qualidade do quarto é razoável. Você tem de pegar as roupas de cama e preparar sua cama, mas meu lençol era velho e não servia na cama. Não faz sentido um check in as 14:00 e check out as 10:00 se você mesmo tem que preparar sua cama.

見つけるのも看板がありそんなに困りませんでした。スタッフの方も優しいし利用者の方も挨拶をしてくれるくらいフレンドリーです。ただ、キッチンにスプーンかフォークくらいは置いて欲しかったです。

Il centro si raggiunge comodamente a piedi, in alternativa la fermata del tram è proprio davanti. Nei dintorni interessanti attività per colazione e pasti.
La camera e i bagni erano puliti.
Nelle aree comuni ci sono punti per preparsi the o caffè gratuitamente.
Graziosa l'area esterna con tavoli, immersi nel verde dell'edera.

The location is fantastic. There are shops and cafés nearby. It is also a short walk away from the historic centre. The beds were comfortable. Just one minor negative point: The doors might need to be fitted a bit better. The doors make a lot of noise when being closed. But other than that, the hostel is a great place to stay. The staff are kind and friendly. There's also a really nice atmosphere in the hostel.
