We were not given the room that we paid for due to wrong advertisement on Expedia. Make sure to contact hotel to make sure that they will provide you the same room that you book and pay for before booking.

It was ok, we stayed for one night. The check-in at night was not smooth, however, the reception cleared the issue in the morning.

Given the wide range of available rooms shown on Hotels.com for this hotel at the time we searched for a room, we were located in a room on the first floor facing a construction site, which was not ideal and very noisy.

Check in process and staff were friendly. Room was clean, but smelled like smoke although non-smoking. Phone and air-con were not working. Curtain was half pulled off rail, so was hard to close. Room faced large construction so woke up to noise. Asked for room on other side, but was told all rooms on other side were single bed and was reluctant to change my room. Hotel good for a quick overnight stay.

10 day stay at Holiday Inn express

The overall condition is not as good as advertised. Bathroom condition is not well. Tile grouts are dark because of the dirt. Needs cleaning. Room was facing the backside of the hotel. They continued camera system replacement until midnight, despite our warnings. 3rd day was another renovation work with wall scraping noise throughout night time. 3rd floor hallway was fully covered with industrial glue scent. Was gone next day. Breakfast is good, not complaints whatsoever. Location is well-situated in Uskudar region. Highway access and taxi access are so easy. Location is recommended.

There is a big misunderstanding about meaning of a \"king\" bed!
The hotel staff understand it as a double bed (150-160 cm wide).
I understand it as 180-200cm wide bed suitable for two persons.
There was a previous complaint on the same exact problem!

Thumbs up for Holiday Inn Express Altunizade

The Hotel was very good overall. The staff were really amazing. They were very helpful and cooperative. The breakfast, cleanliness, and the overall service was excellent. Besides, it was very peaceful, quiet, and safe.

The only thing that was missing was a coolant or refrigerator, of which I needed for my medications. Other than that, I wouldn't trade for any other Hotel. Thumbs up for the hotel and it's staff.

Great location and cheap however smokers smell

Great location walking distance to capitol. And bus journeys to uskudar. However, smoking permitted in the rooms and it stinks really bad. Definitely consider this. Otherwise great hotel. Rooms and curtains need to be cleaned and the scents in room need to be on point. We asked for a change in rooms but it was fully packed. Hotel should arrange some rooms for smoking and most rooms for non-smoking.

Very nice stay, good service and good continental breakfast for the hungry. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only problem was the smell of smoke in the non smoking rooms

A lot of disappointment!

When we checked in, the staff was very cold and unfriendly. Since i'm a big guy, (6'4), I double checked with the front desk upon check in to ensure the room had a king size bed as stated on Expedia. They reassured me that it in fact it did have a king size bed. As we entered the room, it was a queen, not a king. We called the front desk and asked why we were told it had a king size, but was a queen. They said they it was not their problem and was Expeida's since they were the ones that advertised it that way. I asked why they told me it was a king at the front desk, (same person who I spoke with), and they responded by stating that all the rooms were queen and had the same horrible attitude.

Being late in the evening, we decided to stay because we didn't have the energy to move hotels. We decided to deal with it and try and speak with someone the following day. I decided to take a shower and less than 15 seconds into it, I noticed that the shower was flooding. (One more thing to go wrong.) After I got out of the shower, my fiance went into the bathroom. She came out a few minutes later and told me that the toilet would not flush.

The only acceptable part of this stay was the breakfast. It was fresh and hot, like every other one I've ever stayed at prior to this.

I've stayed in these hotels before, and haven't had any issues like this. Upon check out the attitude continued and the staff didn't care about our horrible experience. Let's see if expedia will....

Holiday inn Altunizade

Overall this hotel was good for the price. Around the corner is a bus stop with all busses going to uskadar or kadikoy from which u can catch a ferry to istanbul or coach to sabia gocken. recommend getting an istanbul travel card as most travel is 1.50 lira (bus/ferry/tram) each way no matter where you travel. Altunizade has a big shopping mall for supllies or evening shopping with uk brands like mac/marks and spencer etc

Overall good hotel if traveling on a budget.

A very tidy and clean hotel. Staff are so friendly. Although the location is faraway from the heart ot the city, it is a close distance to one of the biggest shopping malls. Surely, this hotel should be on the top of next visit choices.

Bad hotel for smoke-sensative clients

We requested smoke-free rooms, but quickly learned that smokers were above us, next to us and the smoke permeated every room in the Hotel. There was no smoke-free area in the Hotel. The hovering workers in the breakfast room reminded us of Russia during the Communist era.

This hotel made our family feel very welcome!

This hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We travelled with a small child and they really fell in love with him. It is on the Asia side so you have to taxi to most places, but there are shops, restaurants and a small mall in walking distance. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

I believe it is the best 3* hotel in the world

The hotel was beyond clean. People is very kind. Very large parking area and a very big parking place under the hotel. Even if the hotel is in Asian side, you can do your business in european side and can stay here as it is very easy to reach after the 1st bridge.
And of course it is familiar to person that stays in holiday inn, nearly the same like in US except people is kind and hotel is clean in istanbul.

I will very much recommend you this hotel even if your work is in asian or european side.

Eşim ve kızımla 2 gece 3 günlük İstanbul ziyaretimiz için kaldık. Sadece gece yatmak için odamıza girip sabah kahvaltıdan sonra otelden ayrıldık. Bu amaç için bu oteli tercih etmiştim. Kesinliklik fiyatını fazlası ile hak eden bir otel. Çok temiz , sessiz. Çalışanlar oldukça güler yüzlü. Kahvaltı abartılı değil ama fazlası ile yeterli ve lezzetli.yataklar ve yastık da oldukça rahattı. Yine gezi amaçlı İstanbul’a gelecek olsam tereddütsüz burada kalırım.

Ho prenotato una stanza per 3 gg via hôtels.com. Alla reception risultavano due prenotazioni una via hôtels e l’altra via expédia. Nonostante io affermassi di aver prenotato una sola stanza per 3 notti mi hanno detto che l’hotel era obbligato ad addebitarmi 2 camere per la stessa notte poiché vi erano due prenotazioni per lo stesso periodo. La cosa che più mi ha colpito è stata la malfidenza del personale e il totale rifiuto di aiutarmi. Avrebbero potuto sentire expédia o hôtels e verificare l’errore di sistema. Sono rimasta ad Istanbul per più giorni ma ho cambiato hotel e non tornerò mai più all’ holiday Inn Altunizade Istanbul

Das Hotel hat ein eigenes Parkhaus inkl. einen Einparkservice durch die Mitarbeiter. Die Metrostation Baglarbaşı ist zu Fuß in 6-7 Minuten erreichbar. Von dort aus kann man in jede Ecke von İstanbul hinfahren.
Generell sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter in der Einrichtung. Die Reinigungskraft im 2. Stock hat uns sehr geholfen und Ihre Arbeit sehr gut gemacht.

Holiday Inn Express war ein schöner Aufenthalt.
Wir waren 5 Nächte dort. Trotz dass ich kein Frühstück gebucht habe, dürften wir uns an der Frühstücksbuffet bedienen. Es gab leider kein Minibar und kein kleines Kühlschrank im Zimmer, aber dafür der Rest…
Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Was für uns sehr wichtig war, war der Parkhaus. Es gab somit keine Parkschwierigkeiten. Ich würde das Hotel weiterempfehlen und wieder dort mich aufhalten.

Twin Bed - Single bed

Hotels vasıtasıyla odada 3 adet twin bed olması gerekirken, sadece 2 adet Sİngle yatak vardı. Çoduk ile beraber single yatakta konaklama mecburiyeti oldu.

Otel yetkililerinin müşterilerinin twin bed single bed farkını bilmediğini zannetmesi ayrı bir acayiplikti. Konaklama tek gecelik olduğu için hiç uzatmadım. Ama bir daha kesinlikle odayı önceden görmeden konaklama ödemesini yapmayacağım.

Yılın ilk gününde Sabah 08.30'da yan tarafta inşaat çalışmalarının başlaması da cabası.

The staff in the reception was nice. But not to happy to help you with anything. Except ther was an older man working. He was very polite, always asked how everything is. Very helpful. The young girls at the reception, they were always busy in their phones . So no I’m not going to stay there again.

Odamız çok güzel genis ve temizdi. Çift kişilik yatak ve çok rahattı. Banyosu oda kadar var geniş ve temizdi. Kliması yeterli ve güzel sogutuyordu. Sakin sessiz ve tam bir konaklama. İş için tek gecelik bir konaklama yaptım. Gayet memnun ediciydi. Kahvaltı ve
genel hizmeti beğendim. Bir sonraki seyahatlerimde tercih etmekten tereddüt etmeyeceğim yerlerden biri.
