This was a comfortable 2 night stay at the Garner Hotel. Conveniently close to the station and to the local town Christmas market. The staff were professional, polite, friendly and very helpful. Loved this stay! Great panoramic view of Berlin from the top floor too.

A very clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Yes, it is a little far from downtown Berlin, but the train is directly across the street. Also, Old Spandeau is a short 10 minute walk that is safe and scenic. Old Spandeau itself is like stepping back in time. We had a very delicious lunch at one of the many bistros there. Very affordable staythat was memorable. The hotel was very quiet even after the footbal match let out.

The key programming system went wrong on the last night and nobody could access their rooms, except for the master key that Reception had. This created a lot of inconvenience, time and frustration, and I deem it unacceptable.

La chambre était très bien, le buffet déjeuner est excellent et la majorité du personnel est courtois. L'hôtel est situé directement à côté du S-Bahn, ce qui est très pratique. Le seul point négatif, c'est qu'il est situé très loin du centre-ville. Nous le savions, mais une fois sur place, nous aurions préféré être plus vers le centre. Mais dans l'ensemble, nous avons apprécié notre séjour.

Das Frühstück war erstklassig in der Qualität, der vielfältigen Auswahl und auch in den Öffnungszeiten bis 10:30 bzw Sonntags bis 11:00 h auch sehr für erholungsbedürftige Langschläfer/innen geeignet. Das gesamte Personal war mega nett und freundlich.
Leider war ich von meinem Zimmer sehr enttäuscht. Laut Fotos scheinen alle Zimmer große Fenster, die nach vorne zu öffnen sind sowie ein Bad mit einer Tür zum Wohnraum zu haben. Ich habe ein Standartzimmer geeignet für 2 Personen mit Queenbett zur Einzelbelegung gebucht. Leider war es bei Expedia auf der Buchungsseite NICHT ersichtlich dass es einige (zwar modernisierte)Zimmer gibt, welche sich gegenüber des Treppenhauses mit einen sehr kleinen Fenster (Bullauge) und 1m dicken Wänden in einem ehemaligen Treppenhaus oder ehemaligen Toilettenraum befinden. Zudem befand sich das Bad mit der Toilette ohne Tür offen zum Wohnraum direkt hinter der Eingangstür! Dieses Zimmer habe ich leider erhalten obwohl ich 3 Wochen vorher gebucht hatte & bei der Buchung angab dass ich wegen des Silvesterfeuerwerkes gerne eine gute Aussicht hätte. Natürlich war mir klar dass ich kein Zimmer im obersten Stock erwarten konnte aber ein Zimmer mit normalem Fenster & einem Bad mit einer Tür davor habe ich schon erwartet. Vor allem weil ich 60 Jahre alt, schwerbehindert und zum Öffnen des Bullauges einen Stuhl benötigte!
In einem anderen Zimmer würde ich gern noch einmal kommen, in dieses Zimmer niemals!

Wir haben das Hotel gebucht, wegen der guten Lage zur Waldbühne. Sie war mit dem öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel sehr gut erreichbar. Das Hotel könnte wieder mal im öffentlichen Bereich eine Renovierung vertragen, die Zimmer waren okay und sauber. Wir hatten in einer Nacht dreimal Feueralarm, ein Alarm war durch ein Raucher im Zimmer ausgelöst und dann noch zwei Fehlalarme. Der Herr an der Rezeption war mit den Feueralarm total überfordert, wir konnten froh sein, dass es nicht richtig gebrannt hatte. Die Feuerwehr brauchte eine halbe Stunde bis zum Hotel. Die Hotelbar kann man vergessen, es gab nur ungekühlte Getränke und der Herr an der Bar konnte keine Getränke zubereiten, trotz das sie in der Barkarte zu überteuerten Preis angeboten wurden. Das Preis – Leistung Verhältnis passte insgesamt nicht.
