The hotel was decent and good for my visit purpose which was a business trip. The rooms are a decent size for Europe and the bathroom was big. There was a kebab place across the street that was open when i came back each night. There weren't a lot of breakfast choices though as most places opened late. The subway was only a few blocks up which was convenient. I was also able to walk to many food shops for a late night meal. I don't want to forget the supermarket across the street. I would stay again but just 1 person to a room. It's a tight space for any more than that. Overall, I'd say an average hotel but not a bad one at all.

Wie es zu den bisherigen Beurteilungen gekommen ist, ist mir ein Rätsel.
Mittelmäßiges Frühstück, das diesen Preis nicht wert ist.
Zimmer mit Flecken auf den Möbeln.
Der Boden des Bades wurde anscheinend schon längere Zeit nicht gereinigt. Das Waschbecken mit einem braunen Rand um den Ablauf. Der Duschablauf mit jeder Menge schw. Silikon verschmiert. Die Türzarge wurde mit Kreppband geklebt.
Die Klimaanlage war so laut, das Schlafen kaum möglich war.
Hier nie wieder!

Staff was excellent. There was a bug problem in a 2nd floor room but they quickly changed rooms and was very polite about it. Rooms were spacious. Amenities were great. Nice and cosy library room on the reception level. Great restaurants around. Walking distance to the main shopping area.

The location is convenient with public transport at the front of the door.
Many restaurants around! If you stay at the Quentin, do not forget to try a dönner at the Teos Bistro. The best!!!

LOOKING AT THE PICTURES OF THIS HOTEL ON THE DIFFERENT WEBSITES, ALL LOOKS NICE, ESPECIALLY THE BAR AND RESTAURANT AREA, BUT THEY FORGOT TO INFORM POTENTIAL CLIENTS THAT THE RESTAURANT AND BAR CLOSED DUE TO AN ELECTRICITY PROBLEM. THAT IS WHAT THEY SAY. EVEN THAT IS NOT TRUE. THE ENTIRE HOTEL HAD ELECTRICITY EVEN THE RESTAURANT BECAUSE DOING THE NIGHT IT WAS LIT UP, ALSO SPOKE TO THE STAFF. No way is this place a 4 star hotel. Couldn’t get a drink until 6pm because they didn’t have anyone on the bar, they charge you €2.50 for a TINY glass bottle of water in your room. The A/C was noisy throughout the night as was the car park for the hotel directly outside my window. The staff were very poor and seemed as though they just couldn’t be bothered, the facilities were non existent and to top it all off, after pouring myself a cup of coffee in my room in the morning, they had left a cracked mug but turned it around so you couldn’t see. After I poured the coffee in and picked up the mug I then had it all down my T-shirt and jeans... see pics. I certainly won’t be using or recommending this place ever again.

Style over Substance and Function

This hotel seems to put a premium on style and design, unfortunately to the detriment of function and substance. The rooms and lobby are chic and uber-cool. However, the room I was in had no drawers or cabinets for clothes, and the rack/hangers were at an elevation of about 2 meters in a closet into which were also stuffed the safe and minibar (which had no glasses). The TV did not get the channels listed, and it took two visits to the reception to rectify that situation. MOST IMPORTANT, THOUGH, WAS THE FACT THAT WHEN I CAME BACK FROM THE OPERA MY FIRST NIGHT THERE, THE ROOM DOOR WAS WIDE OPEN!!! I DID NOT LEAVE IT OPEN; PERHAPS a service person who attempted, and failed, to fix the TV channels, neglected to close the door. I don't know, and neither did the Reception, which offered no apology, explanation, or compensation offer in case things had been damaged or stolen (which, fortunately, did not appear to be the case). This is the FIRST time in my decades of hotel-going that this has happened!! I hope it will be the last, and the HOTEL MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION NOW TO MAKE SURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN! Needless to say, I won't be back....

Perfect location, bad cleaning service

The location of the hotel is perfect: close to Berlin Messe, subway and train station nearby, Scharlottenburg Palace within walking distance.

The staff was mostly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good although we wished the coffee to be stronger.

The rooms are large. The design of the rooms is modern but not quite practical. There's noise from the street so have that in mind when you book.

The biggest problem we had was with the cleaning of the rooms and restocking of toiletries. We had to ask at the reception several times for shower gel, emptying the trash, etc. We expected better cleaning service at these rates from a 4* hotel.

Great boutique hotel in a pleasant, quiet part of Charlottenburg, with good bus / underground connections to anywhere in Berlin. I always end up staying here. Great power-showers, and trendy artwork. I spent part of my first evening here discussing what we thought the painting in our room might mean! The staff are friendly, but they do know me by now, having stayed here at least a dozen times. They always bring me extra shampoo for my hip length dreadlocks. Highly recommend.

Complete surprise
Very friendly staff
Spacious room with a comfy sofa and bed and enough room left to dance.
The only drawback was some of the other people who stayed on my floor thought it was OK to laugh and shout at 3am in the corridor which was very echoey but you meet thoughtless people like that anywhere and it wasn’t the end of the world.
Beautiful tree outside my windows ( which opened).

Absolutely lovely hotel

I have just come back from 4 nights at this hotel and I loved every minute. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions that we had about the city etc. The room was very spacious, clean and modern. It was very comfortable and a lovely place to relax.
There is a great cocktail bar downstairs which is open until 2am. The barman was very welcoming and the cocktails were nice, just maybe a tad pricey compared to some of the other places.
The location is separate from the main busy, tourist area but is in a cute little spot which has lots of bars and restaurants around. The train station is only a 10 minute walk away and there are buses everywhere. It is only about a 10 minute cab ride to the start of the main tourist section.
Overall, I loved this hotel and would definitely come back and recommend!

My second stay here. Really atmosphere, trendy boutique hotel with great art and vibe, in a nice area of Berlin, with easy access for transport for the whole city. My favorite part of my stay was the wetroom shower area with an amazing power shower, retro black and white tiling and great glass touches.

The room is a perfect size and a very comfortable bed. It had everything we needed and if we needed anything else, the phones in the room were very easy to call for the staff or room service. The car park has an extra charge but we managed to park just outside on a street for free. The tube station is a 5 minute walk and easily understandable to get the trains.

I wish they had thicker or double glazing windows as it was a bit loud with a main road just outside

Nice hotel and good location. Only thing, the hotel was very dark, obviously to fit in with the qwerky style but a light on in the bar would have been a little more comfortable. Got completely done with the buy one get one free drink, after drinks were made, was told we could only use the voucher on the same drink.... so ended up costing us £24 for two drinks!! Obviously knew what they were doing there! Hotel was clean and staff friendly.

BED BUGS!

We found bed bugs in our room and were severely bitten. When we spoke to management, they said they would investigate the room. We showed them a dead bug, the bites my coworker received, as well as an iphone video of the bugs, but they said that was insufficient and wouldn't allow us to move rooms. Unacceptable, will not be booking here EVER again!

Nice location, very quiet, area surrounded by nice restaurants and antique shops, the sightseeing bus stop just minutes walk, metro close too if you take a taxi from Alexandersplatz to the hotel bit expensive Euros 25, to the airport Euro 45, better use public transport. The decor of the hotel is nice but the darkness of the corridor are scary, my room was basement and was lots of mosquitos in the corridor and inside my room, the bathroom they only change towels but do not clean basin or toilet, staff at the reception are helpful and friendly, the restaurant has nice menu the black risotto is so delicious but very small portion, nice cocktails reasonable price. The mini bar has only one beer I drank it and on the following day they did not replace it I have to go to the bar for another one.

The hotel was great, modern, recently redesigned and refurbished, great big room with big comfortable bed and enough room for extra sofa, bathroom with wonderful huge rainforest shower, but none of the promised luxury toiletries were anywhere to be seen. Breakfast buffet not the biggest I've ever seen, but choice was good and everything was fresh and very tasty, nice little unusual bits & pieces, fresh crudités, etc. The staff in the restaurant in the morning and the bar in the evening were great, very friendly and chatty and extremely helpful. Staff on reception was also very helpful, but should maybe take a lesson in smiling and saying \"hello/good morning\" every now and again... Hotel was advertised on the website as having a garden which it does NOT have, not sure if it's the hotel's or hotels.com's fault. Area is lovely, quite residential, but very quick getting into the centre by bus or S-Bahn, a lot of really nice restaurants and bars literally round the corner and the sightseeing tour bus stops across the road

A bit rough around the Edges

This hotel was probably lovely when it first opened but it starting to show signs of wear nowadays. The staff were generally helpful and all speak good English, but they were not good at explaining basic things like where to get breakfast, what breakfast entailed and how to get into the city or provide a map of the location of the hotel. The rooms were modern with lots of switches but little explanation of what they all did. Breakfast did not seem to be great value for 12 Euros. Spacious nicely furnished rooms but the whole place could use a refresh really and it is quite far from the city centre too. The area around the hotel is very culturally diverse and does not feel like the edge of the German capital at all.

Really nice hotel with great prices.

Really good hotel, very close to the most famous monuments. Only 10 min away from Branderburg Gate. The only thing I don't like is the private hotel parking fee (14€/night) but is easy to find free parking in the street around the hotel. They don't include breakfast or lunch but a supermarket is located very close to the hotel only 10 min walking and it have very low prices. The hotel allow you to bring your own food to the room.

Only problem was it got very warm, even with aircon on. Wasn't a major issue as you opened the window for half hour and it cooled it back perfectly. All in all a really nice place to stay

Quentin Boutique Hotel - Putting in the Ritz

Lovely hotel with Art Deco styled interior, I arrived early 11am, (check in 2pm) but reception were able to allocate a room #511, which was unexpectedly a gorgeous suite with 2 large sofas, desk area, extremely comfy king size bed and large bathroom with walk in shower. The electric curtains provided entertainment. Plenty of storage, mini bar. Check out 11am luggage store available at reception.

Breakfast was included in my package, good selection of cereals, yoghurt & fruit, continental meats/cheeses. Fresh bread each morning with scrambled eggs & bacon. Waitress can arrange can alternative with chef if required. Good selection of fruit juices, teas and filter coffee.

Restaurant Stella Alpina opposite Sophie Charlotte Platz U-Bahn family run business, delicious food, great wine, attentive but not intrusive service.

Would definately stay at the Quentin Boutique Hotel again - solo female traveller.

Amazing! Arrived early and went to see if we could leave our bags and was checked in early free. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Went to enquire where we could purchase an adapter from and she lent us one free of charge. Modern and quirky hotel. Low lighting, dark tiling, nice furnishings, looks very boutiquey as it claims. Impressive. Rooms spacious, electric opening curtains, several light options, massive mirror, walk in rain shower, beautiful. Bathroom clean, again has the quirky feel to it. Some amenities given too which was nice. Big tv, majorly news based channels but wasn't there to watch tv so not a big deal. Big bed, clean and comfy. Supermarket across the road. Bus stop outside. Trains and trams a 10 min walk. Few bars around, cafes and shops. Seemed to be a town down the road we did not explore much. Close to charottenberg palace - perfect
For the Xmas market there. Really impressed. Will 100000% be booking there if visiting Berlin again.

Fantastic little hotel with all the facilities you may need! A 20 minute walk from Charlotte's Palace and then a 10 min walk from either the underground or over ground strait into Berlin! For a very reasonable price it's a great hotel outside the city centre with links to everywhere you would wish to go!

Our room hadn't been cleaned from the prior people that stayed there and after advising the staff of this we were allocated another room which was much smaller. We then went back to say we'd rather wait for the room we paid for to be cleaned and were at that stage given a slightly larger room than the one we originally book. The rooms were really modern and very nice but the bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have expected. The breakfast was great and the service provided was also good. It was overall a pretty good experience that was let down a little by the issues with the rooms when checking in. The staff at the front desk were friendly and were happy to sort out the issues with the rooms.

I usually spend couple of hours to find a good hotel... This time our plan was changed and we were supposed to book a hotel in five minutes because the train was leaving earlier and we should had booked a hotel before departure to Berlin (train)... So I booked this hotel in five minutes and everybody blamed me... that it will be a terrible stay in Berlin because of a five-minute booking... However, surprisingly, it was almost perfect... our crew could not believe that... you will not be disappointed...

Football trip with a friend to Berlin. Hotel is only 5 minutes walk from a subway stop which is 30 minutes from Schoenfield Airport. Immaculately clean, fantastic reception staff, adequate buffet breakfast in the morning and pretty central for travel around the city. Will definitely return.

Nice hotel with minor issues

The hotel is modern nicely designed. Dark colors are dominating both lobby and the room. Our room was located on level -1, but with big windows.
The room was nice and reasonably sized, but not everything worked properly. The curtains should work by using a switch, but that switch did not work. We were also not able to close them by hand without damaging them. Right under the window a big couch, which was nice, but right behind that couch the wall was wet, mold was developing. After claiming that to the reception they offered to change the room.

The customer service experience was good.

Very Modern and Stylish. Would stay again!

The hotel room was very stylish and modern. Really clean. Just opposite was a bus stop which the sight seeing bus also stopped at. Only 15euro per person for the sight seeing bus and you could purchase tickets at reception. A supermarket was just across the road with a lovely bakery counter. Staff were very helpful, spoke perfect English. I forgot my adapter but they were able to sell me one! Would stay at Quentin Boutique hotel again.

The buffet breakfast had good selection of food. I will most certainly stay again at the Quentin Boutique Hotel when I come to Berlin again.

Nice Stay at the Quentin.

The hotel is close to public transport and is in a very nice area of Charlottenburg. The hotel is modern with very spacious rooms and all the modern appliancies. The staff were very friendly and understanding of your needs.I would recomend this hotel

Very hard to find!

Took for ever to find! Name on building was small and it said 'Q' Boutique Hotel. Most people on street did not know where it was and the address was also different. We did get a beautiful room though. I booked a second night but didn't get credit thru you.

Quirky, Comfortable Surprise

This was a last-minute booking for me, so I wasn't sure at all what I was in for--I just really needed a place to stay. From the outside, it doesn't look like much-- the building looks pretty old and faded. The lobby and hallways are particularly dark and modern in lighting and design, which could be off-putting to some. The service was perfect though-- everyone who helped me was really nice, straightforward, and helpful (even for an American who, sadly, spoke very little to zero German). My room was awesome. It was delightfully, even strangely, modern with remote-controlled curtains, numerous lighting options, a rain-like showerhead directly above, and a simple, sleek design. This was what really sold me: it was just flat-out comfortable. Great bed, bedding, pillows, etc. Large couch by the window, nice desk, closet space, etc. More spacious than the typical hotel room. In short, the outside isn't exactly inviting, but once you get in, the service and rooms are lovely. I'd call it a very pleasant, quirky surprise.

Nice Hotel

This was a very nice hotel. It was clean, had nice AC (great in the summer), a nice shower, big size, and the wifi worked really well. The hotel was a great value; cheaper and nicer than other hotels I've stayed at in Berlin. The only odd thing was that the hallway light was always off and I didn't know how to turn it on, so I was always walking in the dark.
The hotel is close to the U and S trains so you can easily get to places in the center. There is also a nice shopping area nearby. Lots of neat restaurants and hookah bars in the area (if you're into that).

Christmas in Berlin

Stayed in Berlin for Christmas with a few friends. The staff were friendly and helpful, seems like things have improved a bit from previous reviews. Good location on bus route and within short walking distance to U and S bahn stations.

Great Little Hotel Near the Messe Center

We were in Berlin for IFA 2014 and found the Quentin Boutique while looking for a hotel within walking distance of the conference center. Turns out, this hotel is about a mile away, and it is a perfectly straight shot right down the street the hotel is on to get there. So that makes it super easy and convenient, assuming you're able to add a couple miles round trip to an already long day of convention center walking. The people were relatively friendly, and the room was much nicer than expected! I think I got a better room than I paid for, for some reason. But I'm not complaining! Nice big bathroom (unlike European standards normally) with a rain shower, marble floors, a comfortable queen sized bed, and very importantly - Air Conditioning cold enough to freeze the room! Not every hotel in Berlin has REAL AC, so you have to be careful. Some just have a \"climate control\" system which won't actually cool the room, but don't get me started. Anyway, I'll definitely stay here again. The only drawback perhaps was the tiny little single elevator, which I imagine could cause delays at some times of day if everyone is trying to come and go. But the spiral stairs wrapped right around it, and the hotel is only 6 stories, so it wouldn't be that hard to walk down. BONUS - Teo's Cafe across the street has excellent currywurst! ;-)

Wir waren schon in vielen Hotels dieser Welt, aber was wir in diesen Hotelzimmer vorfanden, war wirklich mehr als schlecht! Vom Geruch, der fast unerträglich war, bis zur Klimaanlage die extrem laut war (und nur abstellbar, in dem man die Karte entfernte, somit aber kein Strom und Licht vorhanden war). Das Zimmer sich im \"Keller\" befand( neben Wasch und Reinigungsräumen). Die Lautstärke über uns war unerträglich. Der Fussboden hatte einen Waserschaden auch die Fliessen im Bad, mehr als abgewohnt waren. Die Bettmatratze war so durchgelegen, das man kaum zur Ruhe kam.
