The location is brilliant. It was straightforward to get too by train and was close to lots of shops. The room was clean but there was a smell of smoke for the first few days.

The small add-on elevator has glass walls. Terrible idea for people with a fear of heights and does not go to top floor. Rugs on stairs ripped. Staff was friendly. No variety day-to-day with the breakfast. Hotel is kept very clean. Neighborhood is a bit run down. The Charlottenburg train station is right across the street. Great shopping area a block away. I would avoid this hotel for another visit.

Super convenient and easy

Honestly this place was a god send if you’re not looking for luxury but looking for basic and decent and a very cheap cost that’s just out of the city centre!! So so easy to get an underground or train to Berlin centre as both stations are literally opposite the hotel on the awn street. Only issue I had was the shower head was pointing downwards permanently but I worked around it. Couldn’t thank the lovely staff enough with. Such a convenient and simple hotel to stay in Berlin.

It was an averge stay. The room had all the necessities and was just clean enough. The linen weren’t as clean as I had hoped, weird specks here and there. I suspected bed bugs, but later cancelled that thought. The worry still affected my stay, so I would hope the linen of the next customer would be more clean to remove any suspicions.

On the other hand, the customer service was very nice. Big windows that could be opened wide in the room were great. Really helped with the heat of the weather.

Brilliant place. Only two issues shower was a sliding door and due to me being sloghtly overweight it was a bit of squeeze getting in, so not their fault. Second was temperature of shower fluctuated a bit and I kept needing to adjust it.

Its a bitnfarther from the central station but its very easy to get there, and relatively quick (15 min tops). Right beside the ubahn and s bahn. Tons of food and shops near. The only downside is that the building is older and sound carries pretty far. The courtyard faces about 3 other buildings and can be loud if youre a light sleeper. I really wish itnwasnt because the staff was great and the location might be the best youll find outside of the city center. However that downside isnt for everyone and i know plenty of people who wouldnt be bothered in the slightest by it.

Unfortunately it was an extremely hot night and there is no air conditioning or fans. Noise was good from the outside, but the internal doors didn't block any sound from the hallway really.

Unfortunately the wifi was not working properly, either being incredibly slow or cutting out. Moths had chewed holes in the curtains, and the shower flicked between boiling and freezing. The room was very small, not particularly comfy. If there is nothing else, it is possible to stay a night, but I would avoid if possible

Stay was good but WiFi is slow and has weak security (per what’s shown on my iPhone when connecting to it). So, not for people who plans to work. Could be a little loud at night being so close to the train, so not for light sleeper.

AI Koenigshof is very conveniently located across from the Charlottenburg station and next to the Wilmersdorf U-bahn, providing easy travel access. The hotel is a moderately-priced older establishment with decent, comfortable facilities. It is not air-conditioned. The area immediately around the hotel contains many food and shopping options.

I like the area of Charlottenburg but I would not visit Al Konigshof again. It was a budget hotel but only a soso budget hotel. No breakfast. Just very basic. Next visit I'll look for better. Staff OK. Definitely not exceptional.

A good choice if looking for a room on a budget

This hotel is excellently situated being right opposite the S Bahn and Regional Bahn and a very short walk to the U Bahn, Several bus routes stop nearby too.
Check in was easy and a misunderstanding over whether our rooms were inclusive of breakfast or not was soon rectified.
I travelled with a friend and we had two identical single rooms.
The rooms were small but adequate. They were warm even though Berlin was in a cold snap and temperatures were never in a positive figure during our stay.
The beds were comfortable and the furnishings and shower rooms were all in good order and very clean.
The floors are serviced by a quirky lift that traverses the outside of the building and stops at half landings between floors. It worked well and never had to wait long for it.
Breakfast consists of a cold buffet. The usual that you would expect, Nothing outstanding but adequate.
On the whole the hotel represents excellent value. I have paid a lot more and received a lot less in other hotels in European capital cities, so I have to rate it highly and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a room in Berlin on a budget.

Not what it seems.

A double bed, was just to singles pushed together with one single duvet. The towels were about as old as the decor, so 35 years plus. Filthy, smelly and aged.

The towels can only be described to be as rough and cutting as glass. WiFi is non-existent, hotel service was okay, they even printed me a map, and then told me to walk the wrong way, on top of that the hotel is above a seedy table dancing bar, so when you go back to the hotel, you get these 'classy' women asking to come in. Never staying again.

Breakfast was okay, if you like warm ham and cheese.

The room looks nothing like the pictures, I suspect they use stock images. A rip off.

Room was clean. Quite at night. Wifi worked. Room was small but I expected that in Europe. Next to metro station and when I departed, hotel staff called for my taxi which arrived in 3-5 minutes. Stairwell is very dark, esp at night. They have automated lights when you reach your floor but not in stairwell. So I had to use light from cell phone to see where I was stepping.

It is exactly what you expect - cheap and adequate. If you're not looking for a romantic break and are on a budget, I'd recommend this hotel.

Only issue was that night-time reception staff were a little rude. But if you are the sort of person for whom that would ruin your stay, you wouldn't like this hotel anyway.

This is a very convenient hotel across the street from the Charlottenburg S-Bahn. Hotel was clean. Bathroom looked new, room was fine. Breakfast was basic, but free. Elevator on lobby floor is helpful, but stops in between floors so you have to walk up or down. Very convenient to ICC Messe. Get off at Westkreuz, not Messe Sud, which is far away from the convention center. There is a very good Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant around the block across from the Asian food store.

Leider war das Zimmer sehr dreckig sogar eine benutzte Zahnbürste sowie Zahnpasta des vorherigen Gastes stand noch im Bad daran hat man direkt erkannt das dieses Zimmer nicht gereinigt wurde nach dem Motto“in die Ecken (hinter das Bett) wird ja wohl kein Gast schauen“ doch leider fehlgeschlagen.

Der Aufzug ist nicht zu empfehlen, sehr wackelig und beängstigend lieber die Treppen nehmen.
Keine Rauchmelder im Zimmer (Pflicht).
Das Personal hingegen war sehr nett und freundlich jedoch war’s das auch.

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen, wurde teils teils modernisiert. Die Rezeptionistin beim Check In war nett und zuvor kommend. Das Zimmer war sehr klein! Lichtschalter war halb aus der Wand, die Gardienen wahren sehr alt und vergilbt. Ich würde das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen!

Für eine Nacht war ich zu Gast, gute Anbindung an die Öffis.
Zimmer& Bad sauber genug Platz gehabt. Bequemes Bett, Frühstück problemlos nachgebucht, es ist ausreichend.
Wenn ich mal wieder in der Nähe bin, werde ich zum Wiederholungstäter, vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen.

Hotellet er gammelt og uden aircondition, ligger klods op af togstation der larmer en smule når nu vinduerne skal være åbne. Spartansk værelse, dårlig bruser men grundlæggende rent og i orden.

Morgenmad er imodsætning til hotellets egen skiltning kun til kl09 og ikke kl 10 som der ellers står - der var holdningen af man som kunde naturligvis er idioten…

Det er ikke et hotel vi behøver at bruge igen

Die Umgebung ist wenig einladend (Döner-Buden, Handy-Läden, Nagelstudios, Barber-Shops), aber das Hotel selbst ist ruhig und sehr gut an U- und S-Bahn angebunden.
Nachträglich angebauter Aufzug, der daher auf den Zwischenetagen hält. Zimmer sehr einfach ausgestattet, Frühstück nur bis 9.00 h und mit Speisenangebot vom Discounter, aber alles Nötige ist vorhanden und funktioniert.

Eine ordentliche Unterkunft zum günstigen Preis. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommrn, aber das ist ok. Dafür ist der Preis günstig. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett ok. Auch wenn ich das Zimmer erst mittags verlassen habe, war es später sauber und aufgeräumt. Leider ist das Haus hellhörig und das Treppenhaus ist nicht gut beleuchtet. Fie Umgebung ist lebhaft, aber das mag ich. Die ÖPNV Anbindung ist perfekt.

Schlicht aber sauber und total in Ordnung, wenn man eine einfache Unterkunft sucht, die man vor allem zum Schlafen braucht. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig, zumindest bin ich häufig morgens aufgewacht , wenn meine Zimmernachbarn geduscht oder das Waschbecken laufen hatten. Vom Geräuschpegel fast so, als würden sie direkt neben einem stehen. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Für einen kurztrip hat es völlig gereicht! Wir waren zufrieden. Allerdings ist es im Innenhof sehr laut gewesen nachts. Dadurch, dass wir im Sommer dort waren und keine Klimaanlagen in den Zimmern sind, mussten wir die Fenster offen lassen.
