My stay was okay except the hot shower didnt work twice, when asked they informed about some maintenance (prior information is always good) , internet is HORRIBLE. they did give ne a resolution to change the room but by that time i was all set with my 3- suitcases. During checking in i dont know why I was given a room which was the furthest and mind you they have a funny life that does not stops at all floors, so i still had to hand carry them … positive point is its right infront of the S- bahn (charlottenburg station) , also the hotel mentions laundry services - i was lucky to have a room with a machine , But i was looking for a proper laundry service which was not there. NO TOILETTERIES except tissue and handwash.

This is an old fashioned hotel, but with rooms that were just what a wanted. Affordable, cozy, and clean. It is right across the street from the S Bahn station, so it's very easy to get to. My only complaint is that I knew I would have heavy luggage, so I made sure to choose a hotel with an elevator. But the elevator stops at intermediate levels, so you still have to go up or down a half flight of stairs to get to your room.

Gave my room to someone else, after i checked in

Whilst out of the hotel they gave my room to someone else. They gave me another room, took my things there (nothing missing), but didn't bother trying to contact me.

So when i got back to the hotel i had quite the surprise.

The mattress in the new room must be years old, it dips in the middle. I'm not sure what pillow they use, but it offers no support.

Great location, across from the S-Bahn station and access to Taxis. It's about 15 minutes from Tiegel. The staff is friendly and for the price, I had a nice room. However, the cleanliness factor in my room wasn't top-notch. There were dust and toilet paper under my bed, it didn't look like it had been vacuumed in a few months. Otherwise, I was satisfied with my stay.

Good location if you’re staying west, well connected to the Center as it’s opposite Charlottenburg station.

It is an older building and we had some problems with hot water, but it was rectified relatively promptly. Due to its placement, the elevator alway requires the guests to walk 1/2 flights of stairs. The location is great. Quick walk to the transportation, restaurants, great city shopping mall and Opera. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Bedding is always fresh and crisp. Bathroom amenities are ample.

Easy access to and from Tegal airport. Very close to major railway station and bus routes making movement very easy. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars, nearby to suit all tastes. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Hotel has everything one needs and some plus some really good prints all through the hotel.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the 'City Cube' convention center in Western Berlin. Once I became familiar with the metro system I saw I could get from the hotel to the convention center in just 6 minutes. The hotel is located in a very nice, quite, picturesque and familial neighborhood (Charlottenburg) full of restaurants which offer local and international food at reasonable prices. The hotel has friendly staff which assists the traveler even if he/she is not fluent in German. Breakfast (buffet type) was tasteful and varied and the morning staff at the dining room was very friendly and polite. The room and bathroom were always clean. Perhaps the only factor that could be improved would be the quality of the Wi-Fi system since communication through social networks was intermittently interrupted. Otherwise, it is a pleasant place to stay. Since it was early October, there was no need to adjust the thermostat. The close proximity to the metro system, across the street, gave me the chance to commute to downtown Berlin and other nice places of the city including the Zoo area and the great park (Tiergarten) that leads to Brandenburg gate. Overall, it is a good hotel with close proximity to the Tegel airport and I believe I would return to it should the opportunity to return to Berlin knocks again. My personal score (from 1 to 5 points, being 5 the best score) would be 4.5.

Comfortable hotel close to station

The hotel is just a few yards from the station and is in the centre of a modern shopping area with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops big and small. The overall feel of the area is friendly with some very upmarket touches (EG a Bentley dealership nearby!).
The hotel serves a simple breakfast in the restaurant next door, usual cold food plus scrambled eggs, sausage and small burgers, unlimited coffee etc. Not excellent and maybe not worth the 11 euros it costs but better than some other hotels i could mention.
The room was small but big enough for just a few days. The ensuite bathroom was very well equipped. The staff were very helpful, they spoke english and were happy to assist with everything.

This lovely hotel is distinctive with its unique artwork and displays. It catches your eye from the street. It has areas where guests can enjoy reading or having coffee. The elevator stops halfway between floors so you can either walk up or down to your room. Small room but was fine--bed, bath, TV. Wi-fi took awhile to work and after I had access to the internet, the same evening I had problems again. My only complaint. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Loved the location.

Its a very small room, but neat, clean and tidy.
I am a solo female traveler, it's enough for me. There is no air-con in the room but luckily they have an electric fan which i borrowed from the reception. The room is very clean and neat though small. Very nice and helpful staff.

Right opposite the exit to Charlottenburg station, I had a single room, it was a bit small, but that doesn't distract from what I received. It wasn't a problem as I was only staying there for 1 night and was more than adequate as its not as if you will be holding a 50 person party in the room!!

Good value with excellent transit connections

The hotel is great value for the money, with good connections to all local trains and Charlottenburg S-Bahnhof. The rooms and bed were fine and comfortable, although the hotel can be a bit loud and you hear everything. Local area also has many good places to eat and drink, although it is very different from central Berlin. Overall a good place to stay if you are planning to travel around and willing to take the train.

Great one night stay

Room and toilet were clean and fresh, however, also small and tight, reminded me of hotel rooms in Japan. Not a problem for us but can imagine bigger people would have some trouble. Staff very friendly and helpful. No problem storing luggage for a few hours after checkout.

some strange things happened this time.

This hotel is normally ok. This time I was told a breakfast was not paid for, when it was, and it took a bit of persuading to get them to correct it. Also my baggage may have been interfered with in the secure room on my day of departure. Staff attitude not good.

Convenient and comfortable in Charlottenburg

I stayed in an economy single room, which was a good value. The room was small but nicely furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The room had a clean and comfortable private bathroom as well. The layout of the building is slightly awkward, as the reception is not on the ground floor, and the elevator stops on the stair landings in between floors. This was not a problem for me, but might present hurdles for people with disabilities (although they may have alternate arrangements of which I am unaware). My room faced the courtyard, and conversations occurring there echoed into the room, but stopped before I went to bed, and so was not too disruptive. The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient; adjacent to a train station and to a bus stop for Tegel airport. The neighborhood is great as well, with lots of asian and turkish/Mediterranean restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as shopping and pretty neighborhoods. Overall, a nice place to stay.

I booked two budget rooms, a comfortable double with a king-size bed for Husb and myself and a twin for teenage nephews. Lovely, simple, airy and arty rooms, all basic facilities and the twin room was great fun for the lads. The hotel has a nice residents lounge with complimentary tea and coffee, a fruit bowl and a library. It's brilliantly placed for Berlin Tergel airport, the 109 bus takes about 20 minutes, costs less than 3 Euros and the hotel is literally around the corner from the bus stop. Also well placed for travelling in and around the city by bus and with an S Bahn station directly opposite. Plenty of places to eat, from budget to pricey, within a minute or two and a Lidl around the corner.

Close to S-Bahn and a group of good restaurants on Stuttgarter Platz. Lounge with coffee and tea available at no extra charge, and even a bowl of fruit you can snack from. Taxi to the airport is only 15 to 16 Euros, and the airport bus passes nearby. You need to be agile enough to use the stairs though. The lift is badly placed to be next to useless. Rooms fine, if you're not too picky. I never stay anywhere else, it suits me.

Cute hotel in good location

Really cute hotel in a good location. Our room had really fun wall art that doubled as a light! Directly across the street from a station on the main S-Bahn line, so we could be to the city center in about 10 minutes. Street was not overly loud, and we felt very safe in this neighborhood. Hotel is close to numerous shops and restaurants, and just a couple of blocks from a large pedestrian shopping area. Staff was polite and helpful. Free wi-fi was nice, but the signal was not very strong. Overall a great place to stay!

Reasonably Cheap and Cheerful

This is a well positioned hotel a stones throw from the Charlottenburger hof Main line station. Lots of nice restaurants near by and if you have kids a childrens playground over the road. The hotel room was pretty small and corridor like but have all the things you want as long as you intend to be out and about and not stay in the room. The staff are helpful but expect you to be self sufficient. It is only really on the next level up to a pension. But reasonably cheap and cheerful.

Die Lage der Unterkunft war top. Leider war die Toilette verschmutzt, was alles andere als einladend war. Deswegen wollten wir nicht genauer bei der weiteren Einrichtung im Bad bzw. beim Bett nachschauen.
Die Freundlichkeit lässt auch zu wünschen übrig.
Ansonsten war dann das Frühstück gut und mit viel Auswahl.
Für Berlin und in der Lage waren wir enttäuscht.

In 2023 we had an excellent experience with this hotel, hence for a big family gathering we wanted this hotel again and booked 4 rooms. Unfortuately 2 of the rooms were very cold, the hotel managed to fix this though. But the cleaning was subpar and all in all lower standard than it used to. Its still good vakue for money and veey central amd the staff is friendly. But very cold to stay in the winter.

部屋までが迷路のようで最初迷った。3人でダブルベッドとソファーベッドの部屋でした。ソファーベッドの寝心地はスプリングが痛くて最悪です。お部屋はシンプルでかわいい。しかし、窓に隙間があり外での話し声がうるさい。そして朝6時頃大音量で音楽流してる部屋があった。よく眠れなかった。
駅前なので場所はいいです。

Einziger Minuspunkt: Der Boden im Flur ist aus altem Holz, und wenn jemand darüber läuft, hat man im Zimmer das Gefühl, als würde gleich jemand hereinkommen, weil das Knarren auch im Inneren spürbar ist. Personalen var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Flexibel och god service. Rummet var fräscht och välstädat men väldigt kallt så vi frös.

Badrummet var snyggt inrett men väldigt trångt, kallt och illa planerat.
Det fanns inga vägguttag nära huvudändan av sängen och vägguttaget vid skrivbordet satt löst och höll på att ramla ur.
Det finns hiss men man måste ändå gå i trappor, så absolut inte tillgängligt för personer med rörelsehinder.

Art Hotel? Really? Art of used to many times....

Sorry! Hard to say - but I am disappointed with this hotel! It needs to be refurbished! Some parts are more dirty than necessary (carpet tells histories of the last 20 years; I didn´t want to touch the chair in the room.... the dirty dots at the curtain can be removed or a new curtain can be installed). Really??? That is not fair... even that you guys charging for the last night 170,- EUR??? Really - I´m trying to be fair if I´m writing such reviewing - the most disappointing is that I´m writing such hard words and it feels fair.... ! Sorry guys! Do something - refurbish your hotel!!!

거리랑 위치빼고 다 별로였음 방음이 안되서 복도에서 떠드는 소리 옆방소리 다 들리고 침대는 가운데가 푹 꺼져서 4일 머무는 동안 허리가 너무 아팠음 아 그리고 tv도 안켜졌다 첫 날 방 청소 해주지말라고 문 앞에 걸어두고 나갔는데 돌아오니까 창문 청소를 했는지 창문이 아주 활짝 열려있더라구요...? 닫고라도 나가시지.. 그래서 벌레때문에 살짝 고생햇음 근데 주변에 레스토랑 많음 이것도 좋았음 거리랑 위치만 보고 가실분은 추천해요

Trevlig och smidig incheckning.
Dålig städning, man kunde lätt se att det slarvas. Så som i rummet och badrummet. Storstädning skulle behövas. Rummen var slitna.
Frukosten var inte prisvärd, 11 euro. Fanns inte mkt att välja mellan.
Det som var bra att stationen låg bredvid hotellet, annrs kunde manta buss oxå.

Art Hotel is a nice hotel. While the decor is creative (because of the art theme), you still get the feeling that this hotel is a bit dated. With that said, it is comfortable, functional, and has a great location. My particular room did not have a \"do not disturb\" sign, and the service workers entered my room while I was showering. I had to make a sign myself, but then they added a sign to my door afterwards. I also did not know if the water in the room was free or if it was a way to secretly get 3 € out of their guests, so I did not drink it. But I would stay at this place again. The staff is friendly, the tea selection is nice, and the premises are decent. The WiFi is REALLY bad (almost non-functional)!

Jag bodde på Art Hotel Charlottenburg fem nätter. Personalen mycket vänlig och hjälpsam, men standarden på hotellrummet var inte så bra. Det finns heltäckningsmatta i rummet och fastän det råder rökförbud, luktar mattan starkt av gammal rök. När jag öppnade fönstret, hörde man mycket tydligt de andra gästerna, så det var rätt så lyhört.
Annars är jag nöjd med vistelsen, men jag kommer inte att bo där igen pga. ovanstående. Ingen frukost inkluderad! Hotellfrukost kostar 11 Euro!

Trevligt hotell med nära till det mesta, Tegel, shopping, sevärdheter, s-bahn. Lugnt, lummigt, bra vintage och restauranger i olika prisklasser. Bra service, t ex med incheckning

Die Lage ist toll, das Hotel sehr schön. Nur das Bad (vor allem die Dusche) war viel zu klein und eng und man hatte leider keine Möglichkeit, die Handtücher aufzuhängen. Ansonsten aber immer wieder gern!

Das Hotel ist preislich vollkommen überzogenen und ist veraltet eingerichtet. Bei jedem Schritt quietscht das Zimmer und das Bad ist gerade groß genug um sich nicht den Kopf zu stoßen. Das einzig schöne am Hotel ist der Innenhof. Wäre die Lage des Hotels nichts so praktisch, wäre es eine vollkommene Katastrophe.

L’hotel è ottimamente posizionato in un bel quartiere a 60 mt da una comoda stazione, a poche fermate dal centro.
Le stanze assegnate a me ed ai miei amici, con affaccio su una via molto frequentata fino a tarda notte,erano continuamente illuminate, di giorno, dal sole e, di notte, dall’illuminazione stradale che rendeva difficoltoso il riposo

Das echte Berlin erleben

Die Lage ist toll,mitten im kiez von Charlottenburg.Über die Strasse und man ist am Bahnhof.Um das Hotel herum viele Lokale von Kiezkneipe bis Inder alles da.Kleine Geschäfte und ein Spielplatz alles einmal im Karree. Der Innehof des Hotels ist wie eine Oase kühl,grün einfach schön und man könnte dort ewig sitzen. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und hat keine 5 Sterne .Es hat aber eine Seele der Charme des Berliner Altbaus ist mit viel liebe zum detail erhalten geblieben und jede Ecke wurde genutzt.Die Zimmer sind sauber und gemütlich mehr braucht man nicht. Frühstück gibt es in einen Cafe neben dem Hotel.Da bleibt kein wunsch offen alles mit liebe von der Besitzerin angerichtet . Das Frühstück ist auch auf intenationale Gäste eingestellt was mir besondes gefiel da ich gerne international frühstücke.Kaffeespezialitäten und so viele Teesorten wie ich noch nie gesehen habe runden alles ab.Höflichkeit und Saubekeit Top.

위치 좋음, 그냥 그런, 인테리어는 그닥...

위치는 역도 가깝고 버스도 가깝고 굉장히 좋다. 테겔공항도 가깝다.
엘리베이터를 타도 반 계단정도 있다.
에어컨은 없지만 선풍기는 있다.
하루밖에 안묵었지만 하루만 묵어서 다행인 인테리어. 빨강 노랑 파랑 포인트와 동그라미 세모 네모의 장식... 화장실도 빨노파검..... 오래 머무르기는 어려울것같다.

Hotell med trivsel och charm

Trivsamt hotell med utmärkt läge i Charlottenburg. Lätt att nå från Tegels flygplats. Buss nr 109 stannade vid en hållplats strax runtom hörnet vid hotellet. Alldeles utmärkta förbindelser med centrala Berlin. Tyst och lugnt område. Rymligt familjerum med sköna sängar, dock var tv-n lite besvärlig men med hjälp av muntliga instruktioner från receptionen ordnade det sig. Utmärkt och tillräcklig frukost för 11 euro. Kaffe och te fanns tillgängligt (gratis) i ett separat rum.
