Minor power interruption due to weather, this forced us to change dinner plans elsewhere and dine in the hotels restaurant. What a wonderful thing! So glad we now know they also have great food right there, no need to drive.

We didnt expect stormy weather. It really made conditions unpleasant as the hotel area linkages are outside and unprotected. This meant that it wasn't possible to swim, use the pool or even get to the restaurant without getting wet. There also was poor internet and tv was limited to portuguese channels but great if you like football. All up our stay was limited by the weather which exposed site limitations. If it had bern hood weather it looks like it would have berm been wonderful!!

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Everything was perfect and our room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view onto the water. Food was delicious too and staff very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to be back next time, hopefully for longer.

Barra do Piuva was simply stunning. The views and amenities of the hotel were some of the best I've ever encountered in the world. The only downside was that it was rather empty when we stayed during the week so we were the only ones at breakfast and dinner both days. Also had to seek out people to get drinks and things while near the pool. Other than that, the stay was totally relaxing. The staff were very helpful even without us speaking Portuguese. Was definitely worth it!

I went here with my fiancee for a short get away and we were both completely blown away! The staff was so accommodating and quick to help out in anyway possible. They have english menus at the restaurant (which is absolutely great food) and the ladies at the front desk spoke english as well. All the meals and drinks are charged directly to your room so you don't have to worry about keeping up with your bill. If you are wanting to do any activities they work with a local company called Eco Way (if I remember correctly). We did a jeep tour over to Castelhanos which was around R90 per person.

Hotel is excellent, decent location on the south side (near the ferry) with direct access to the ocean. Very beautiful surroundings with a great pool with bar, deck with service and kayaks/stand-up paddles to rent. Definitely good for a quick getaway. My complaint is the room, too small (to be fair, I stayed in the cheapest one).

We stayed for the weekend (low season). Overall our stay was okay: service is average, the room was clean, the views are great and the common areas were quiet, good for relaxation moments at the sound of sea waves.
We didn't have lunch on the hotel because we saw some not-so-good reviews on tripAdvisor about this, but it is located close to other restaurants, so that didn't bother us.
The only problem was that we booked a Pacuiba room because we saw on the hotel's website that it offered a queen size bed. As we are a tall couple, this is very important for us. We arrived late in the night and for this reason we didn't want to report the issue right away, but the room has a regular bed, not a queen size one. The room (#25) is tight and there isn't space for a queen size bed on it.
Note: The hotel is close to the ferryboat (approximately 2km by car).
Note 2: There are a lot of stairs on this hotel, because it is built on the hillside. You can't access the sea without going down a huge staircase. Although the rooms have access through an elevator, it does not reach the restaurant.

Great place to get away from it all
A holiday weekend away from Sao Paulo. The views from the pool and restaurant are stellar. The breakfast is excellent. The menu for lunch is fine, but a little lacking for dinner. The staff was also excellent, very friendly and the counter staff spoke English. They helped me make some changes in my transportation reservations. Overall, highly satisfied.

Foi a 3° vez que fomos e com a expectativas bastante elevadas porem nao estava tao bom como das últimas vezes, o furo estava super quente impossível de entrar , cafe com poucas variedades e os paes nao estavam frescos , o almoço nao estava conforme da última vez e com arroz duro , uma coisa que nos deixa tambem pensativo é que pagamos uma diaria porem so podemos entrar no quarto as 16hrs e sairmos as 12hrs sendo assim nao concretiva uma diaria .

O hotel é simplesmente perfeito. Não dá nem vontade de sair já que tem uma praia particular e restaurante com café da manhã, almoço e jantar. Atendimento impecável. Todos os outros acessos são por escada, num mundo que está ficando velho e com muitas pessoas com deficiência motora, o hotel ainda não acordou para essa realidade. Tivemos problemas com an internet 2 dias sem funcionar e sem resolução de resto… bacana. Ahhh limpeza tem que solicitar na recepção… oi ?!?

Formidável. Conheço a Ilha muito bem e já me hospedei em vários hotéis em Ilhabela. Esse é um dos melhores porque oferece infraestrutura necessária para que vc nem precise sair dele. Tem praia particular, piscina climatizada, jacuzzi, inúmeras cadeiras e espreguiçadeiras, tudo com uma vista incrível. O ponto \"negativo\" vai para os quartos pois são pequenos e carecem de sofisticação. Como o hotel tem vários níveis, não é recomendado para pessoas com necessidades especiais e/ou dificuldade para subir e descer de escadas.

a nossa estadia no hotel barra do piuva foi incrível! a estrutura do hotel é perfeita, com muito lazer e conforto, além de funcionários muito bem treinados e educados. infelizmente no último dia da nossa estadia tivemos uma experiência negativa por conta de um grupo de hóspedes extremamente mal educados e desrespeitosos com os demais hóspedes e com funcionários, que estavam desrespeitando as regras do hotel, usando caixa de som e fazendo gritarias com palavras de baixo calão. na nossa impressão isso afetou muito a nossa última diária, pois o hotel não pareceu impor as regras. alem disso, na hora de ir embora, o nosso carro estava sem bateria, depois de termos deixado no serviço de manobrista do hotel. ainda não sabemos exatamente o que aconteceu, foi bem ruim, pois acabou atrasando um pouco a nossa saída, mas os funcionários do hotel nos atenderam com muita agilidade e bastante solícitos, solucionando o problema. de uma forma geral, amamos o hotel, mas estamos inseguros de voltar e encontrar os memos hóspedes novamente.

O hotel é ótimo, quarto confortável, roupas de cama, toalha e amenidades de banho são de qualidade, café da manhã e todo cardápio para almoço, jantar e lanches bom, funcionários educados e receptivos. A única questão é que poderiam rever o horário de check-in e check-out , entrar às 16h e sair 12h na época da pandemia tudo bem, hoje em dia não tem justificativa, certo seria entrar 14h saindo 12h como a maioria dos hotéis, ou então prorrogar o checkout para as 13h ou 14h, apesar de poder usar as áreas comuns do hotel, essa diferença de horários atrapalha em termos de conforto e incomoda comparado a outros hotéis de mesmo nível. Outra questão é que para quem não tem boa mobilidade o terreno é íngreme e tem muitas escadas para se chegar na praia, o elevador só vai ate a recepção.
