We were only at the Novotel Hotel for an overnight layover for our trip from Cairo to Calgary, so we didn't use any of the amenities at the hotel other than our room, but it was comfortable and the staff were helpful.

The room wasn’t cleaned properly (if it was cleaned at all)…bin wasn’t emptied from previous guest, bedroom and bathroom floor weren’t cleaned and had dust,stains/marks on it, a few hairs in the bathroom and dust also in the furniture.

Room was no good. For first night,I asked to change next day,its ok,but they have only one elevator working,so you have to walk long distances from your room till to go to the elevator,staff normal attitude,room has not contained any shower Cap(never I found at any room)
They have shampoo with conditioner only(but I don’t use it),should they have without conditioner,I’m not recommended for my friend to go to this hotel next time.

I usually stay here when I'm travelling and it is usually superb. This time the hotel was understaffed and overcrowded. There was an issue with the hotel shuttle bus being overcrowded and travellers were left having to wait for the next shuttle 30 minutes later.

A nice hotel. We have not tried their food this time, but it was excellent in previous visits. The restaurant by the pool did not seem to have a specific well-defined schedule. Would be nice to improve on this one. Staff are generally friendly and professional.

Room was great & clean. However, when I messaged the hotel twice about an airport pickup, they did not reply through the Expedia app. Ended up taking Uber. Their shuttle to the airport leaves every half hour. This was super convenient since we checked in very late and checked out very early.

Room condition was generally good except for the faulty outer window. This didn't hurt the room's environment due to the working inner window. Good restaurants and great staff. Appreciate the 30-min shuttle service but I only used it on the way back. They can di a better job of explaining how to catch the shuttle bus from the airport, not just to it.

The hotel is great if you have an early flight. It is very close to the airport and has a free shuttle bus 24/7 every 30 minutes. There are several restaurants and a bar with good options for food & drinks.

The hotel should have a better regular check up on the bedding - some pillows are quite worn out and don’t look nice. The reception staff could be more customer-friendly too.

Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at anywhere in the world.
Started off well with the airport shuttle picking us up promptly from the airport. After that it was all downhill.

The room was terrible. The staff had clearly but changed the sheets. There was hair all over the sheets and pillows. The fridge was not working. The AC didn't work. We called housekeeping twice and finally someone came and fixed the fridge. We called a third time for new sheets, they said they would send someone but no one came by.

The bathroom was not clean as well. There were literal streaks of brown in the toilet. Ugh. Terrible experience. We took some time to clean the toilet ourselves. We eventually covered the bed with cloths that we had in our bags and slept. Couldn't wait to check out. Luckily we were there only 1 night.

On the way back, the shuttle was overcrowded and many did not get to board the shuttle despite waiting for over 30 minutes. There was no queueing system, just a free for all.

Other have that, the water pressure was good and breakfast was nice. But would definitely choose Le passage over this hotel.

We stay here regularly when we have an early departure or late arrival. I consistently choose Cairo Airport Novotel because it’s safe, clean, convenient and good value for money. I also find the staff warm and friendly. The buffet is also decent. Check in and check out has always been hassle free.

Novotel canceled my reservation and gave it to someone else. They said I arrived after their check-in window which allowed them to do so…and they didn’t have any additional rooms so I was stuck making additional arrangements on the fly
I did have breakfast there while I waited which was quite good, but hard to enjoy without a room

An Arabic speaking male person entered my room using a key at 2am. I screamed at him and he left. After that I couldn't get back to sleep because there was a man sitting on a chair outside my room speaking on his mobile and a drill was intermittently being used in the next door room

The Mattress, blanket and pillows were old and smelly, covered with fresh sheets and cases, still the bad odour was coming through,
And there was loads hair all over
I only slept there for about 4 hours in the hotel room because I had another flight to catch and was hoping not to become sick
It looked good in the pictures when I booked it online
best to let people know that they get a smelly beds in a good looking hotel.
I will rather sleep on a bench in the airport next
time for 4 hours than paying for a smelly dirty hotel
I do Not recommend this hotel even to my enemies.

Long wait time to check in, staff not very proficient at multitasking. Hotel was very noisy I was on the second floor and could hear the party on the first floor, other tenants were very loud after midnight, did not get a good sleep. I booked a superior room with a double bed, I was given a room with 2 twin beds without informing me; I was told there is no rooms.

The staff was rude, and non communicative. They gave us a room key for a room that was occupied and we walked in on people, we felt horrible to intrude like that. The staff didn’t even acknowledge it when we came back to the front desk and let them know they gave us an occupied room. They just walked away and came back to type on their computer for 20mins with no updates. They offered a different room with too little beds for our group. After another while they gave us the proper room.

The “non-smoking” floor corridor was filled with smoke and stank of cigarettes.

This was only for a one night stay before a flight but I would not do it again.

I called the day before my check in go confirm if they have a shuttle. I was told yes, and to call when I arrive to book a pickup.

I called when I arrived and was told the shuttle was coming and they were told what I was wearing. The shuttle arrived 30 minutes later and drove right by me.

I called and was assured they would be there in 5 minutes. 30 minutes went by and nobody came. I had to take an Uber, and ended up waiting 1 hour at the airport, and the hotel is 5 minutes from the airport.

I arrived after 10pm and wasn’t able to use the gym because it was closed. It didn’t open up again until 8:30 and I needed to be at the airport for 7AM. What use is a gym at an airport hotel if they are closed from 10pm to 8:30am.

The front desk staff gave me a voucher for a drink to say sorry.

The room was really clean and the air conditioning was great. If you need a bed and that’s it, this place is fine. Anything beyond that, I would pass.

Stayed for one night before a connecting flight back to the US and was pleasantly surprised by how nice and relaxed this hotel was. Had great amenities, options for dining, very close to the airport with a shuttle provided to and from. While it may not be the best to stay at if you want the action of the city, I would highly recommend it if you want to be close to the airport and want a quality stay for the price.

Was well taken care off during my short stay. I arrived at the hotel early hours of the morning and the staff were cheery and happy which I love to see.

I requested a late checkout as I arrived later than expected and the wonderful man checking me in didn't bat an eye and said it's done. Amazing!

Breakfast was amazing, a buffet with a wide range, there's something for everyone.

The room is compact but has everything you'd need, modern in design. The grounds are lovely and large. The gym well equipped.

The free shuttle was a great perk, leaving every 30mins and running 24hrs a day.

The one negative I have is this; when I was at the airport it wasn't easy to find where the shuttle location was not was there a schedule as to when the shuttle departs. I tried to call the hotel for guidance but no-one picked up. Arriving at 04:00 and being met with unscrupulous taxi drivers who lied about the shuttle being closed and charging extortionate prices for a 5mins journey.

Eventually found the shuttle location and arrived quickly at the hotel.

Housekeeping needs a lot of improvement , also WIFI is useless, you cannot do anything with it. Poor communication, sent multiple messages through expedia to the hotel and they never replied. Rooms are too small. Some of the staff are really rude specially at the restaurant.
The only good thing about it is the airport shuttle.

The location is good, very close to the airport. Free shuttle to the airport.
The rooms are very old and sofa in the room needs a revamp as it looks quite dirty. The beds and pillows are ok, not the most comfortable. The room is very tight. Its ok if you have one night for a limited hours before a flight but not for anything more than that.
Whilst we were told the shuttle is 24 hrs we had to wait for a long time and make several visits to the front desk to ask where the shuttle was! Looks like they call the driver once people have come down for the shuttle!! So plan in advance and dont leave it to too late!
