We are longtime visitors to this hotel due to its location and easy access fo the airport. We never had an issue before but our last issue was one for the history books. We paid for one room and extended our stay through Expedia selecting the option to pay when we get to the hotel. The check in counter helped us to keep our room and everything started normally. Then came the strange thing. The supervisor called my husband abroad to tell him we did not pay and settle the payment and let me know. I was in my room for four hours and never stopped by. Later he demanded we pay and even came in our room without our permission to make sure we were legitimate. Then the final straw. They locked us out of our room!! This while I was with my daughter and having my own personal issues to deal with. After I erupted at them for this behavior they wanted to make it right in all fairness by offering me a token discount but I declined. I never want to come back here after this experience. Make sure you prepay because unlike many hotels that treat you with respect and understand you will pay when you leave as an option this one does neither. It isn’t an option for payment OF respect. This wa before an international trip when I needed to rest on my leg of the journey. Shame on you Le Meridian and Marriot by extension.

Le Meridien Cairo is my go-to for stopovers in Cairo, an easy short walk from arrivals area. The staff has always been helpful and accommodating especially when arriving at odd hours at CAI. The facilities are well maintained. The breakfast has quite the variety. Looking forward to my next visit or stopover in Cairo!

Excellent 5 stars hotel from every aspect, Top property well maintained, but above all the best staff in all areas of the hotel from the front desk to restaurants to coffee shop to the pool! It is like my time share property in Cairo, excellent massage by the pool by professional and polite Kamar , excellent hookah and drinks at the bar by the pool and panoramic view. An excellent hotel, with many facilities. Extremely clean and pleasant appearance, and excellent, welcoming staff.

Reception very welcoming and efficient on arrival, and checkin very quick.We were given a room change at our request, and with availability of rooms with our preferred view, we were very quickly accommodated and assisted to move rooms to our preferred side of the hotel, giving ourselves and son rooms on the same floor and vicinity. Nothing otherwise wrong with the room.
Buffet breakfast had plentiful choice, food was fresh and well presented.
Sports bar good but air conditioning too harsh for us and others.

Staff pleasant and helpful, and thank you to Asmaa our room attendant who kept our room immaculately clean and tidy throughout our stay. Always pleasant smiling and welcoming.

Also a big thank you to Gloria, Guest Relations Manager who helped to make our stay such a good experience, and ensured that our stay was as good as it possibly could be, ensuring that any issues were dealt with quickly and effectively.

This was our second stay at this hotel snd I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those like ourselves who were only staying for a short visit. It was a haven for relief from the noise, hustle and bustle of the busy city, and it is very easy and inexpensive to take taxis to anywhere within the city. We stayed on the fourth floor overlooking the pool, and couldn’t hear the planes at all, and would definitely stay there again.

We booked on a Friday night with an extremely early flight the next morning. Unfortunately there were three weddings at the hotel that evening. One was outside and the music was very loud and went on until midnight. I think this is bizarre at an airport hotel where people need sleep for international flights. Also, our toilet was broken and although it was mended the flush panel then fe off the wall.

We stayed two separate nights the beginning and end of our trip. The first stay the floor was soaking wet in our room. The second stay, after a long day of travel, the non-smoking room in the non-smoking property, smelled very strong of smoke. Returning to the front desk, they “they could they could move us to another room.” Moved from the West wing 3rd floor to the other wing (different elevators) to the entire 2nd floor in the east wing smelling like smoke. The second room was less smoky than the first so we crashed asleep not wanting to deal with moving again. It’s a great property but the lack of attention to details and the going above and beyond I receive with Bonvoy properties. I don’t expect concessions, but not offering even a free drink (Bonvoy points, discount on rate, etc) exemplified the poor service. Sadly we liked the variety of restaurants (ate twice at Red china it was so good) and the pool area but the cons of poor service, conditions of the rooms & attention to details outweigh these pros.

This is an excellent hotel for any stay but particularly if you are passing through Cairo. We arrived mid afternoon and checked out early the next day for a flight. The location is super convenient as you can walk from the terminal. The staff are attentive and friendly. The pool is refreshing and the restaurant buffet for dinner and breakfast had a great selection. The rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. Would stay here again and highly recommend it.

For a place supposedly “highly rated” I found everything to be bland and “aged.” Subtle wears on furniture and floor shows this place has not been updated for a few years. Clearly not a 5 star experience by any stretch.

And for a hotel supposedly located at the airport it takes a car to get there from baggage claim.

There are no signage’s inside the chaotic airport where the hotel is (unlike most modern airports). No one at the airport can tell you cause most ppl don’t speak English. A few ppl tell you to walk through roads without sidewalk with your luggage. They say there’s a shuttle (which is true) but no signs telling you where.

Turns out there is a skyway you can use to get to the hotel but no signage pointing to where it is. We found the skywalk by serendipity after roaming the airport for 30 minutes.

Btw do NOT trust Google map to guide your walk to the hotel. It takes you to ground level and you have to compete with cars for road space. Drivers here do NOT stop for pedestrians unlike western world.

Lovely room with great Malin- Gosh toiletries, big shower, comfy robe and pillows and mattress . I had a long layover and they let me stay late for checkout as well as stay on the premises all day using the pool , etc. there’s were three restaurants all great, and one serving a great breakfast buffet for &20.00. I highly recommend staying here. They provided a shuttle to the International terminal every 1/2 hour around the clock.

Had a very long layover in Cairo so booked a room at Le Meridien because it is attached to the airport. Room was perfect-very clean, comfortable and silent despite being attached to the airport. Nice pool and a great burger in the sports bar. Most of the staff are perfectly lovely and helpful…there is always that one guy though… too bad or else this would have been an all 5 star rating from me.

Our stay overall was good for the week we were there. We utilized the hotel shuttle service daily to take us out to the various sights around Cairo which was on the pricey side but was worth the money. We had the same driver the whole time and he was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the historical landmarks and the general culture. Helped us take pictures of things we wanted to see and pictures of us. Poolside area was esthetically layed out nicely. Lounge chairs could have been more modern as they looked a little dated for this hotel. Had to wait for someone to walk around for any kind of service as there was no way to call for service. As for the food, quality was a little below average to be honest considering this hotel is fairly new and presents as a 5 star establishment. Very minimal vegetarian options if this relates to you otherwise the variety was ok between the different restaurants and buffet. The plus side is that this hotel is attached to the airport which is very convenient and easy to get to once you get off the plane. I would recommend not getting the shuttle service as it is misleading and you are not being shuttled anywhere however if you want peace of mind getting through passport control and the visa on arrival process then you may want to pay for this service. Other than a few other nit picky things, as mentioned, the stay overall was good.

The room was great, and the staff was phenomenal. I was sick and the front office arranged and had a Doctor and his nurse come directly to my room to check me out and the medication he order me for the flu was delivered to my room as well. This was a wonderful experience.

Special was the 2 wash cloths and the mirror that did not fog. Convenient walking distance from the airport to the hotel. Not sure how you get from arrival area. As we went outside and walked down to terminal 3. The guard let us in to get to the walkway. If you can stay within terminal you arrive in and walk inside to terminal 3. Otherwise, you will be driven crazy by people wanting to help or drive you that short distance.

We had two impressive stays at Le Meridien during our time in Cairo. Accommodating service for guest satisfaction is a staff priority. From the door to room or car, the friendliest porters Ahmed and Mohamed helped efficiently and made us smile. Our room was well equipped with promised amenities, good squishy pillows and housekeeping re-stocking water as we requested. Hagar & Michael in the club lounge went above and beyond for us to enjoy tasty treats and freshly made juices or cappuccinos. Maryam was also there checking on us and making sure everything was going well with our stay— she is great oversight! Ahmed the Duty Manager ensured we had positive experiences with front desk staff and our key cards. Celebrating NYE by staying in our room, we thoroughly appreciated the meal and romantic roll-in table sent up from Chefs Mahmoud & Medhet (name spelling correct?). You can count on them and their team for great late night eats! I must also mention how wonderful the young team of servers are at the breakfast buffet. Their cheer and hospitality presented a lovely vibe. Good vibes flow there!

We had a day layover while traveling through Egypt and decided to just stay close to the airport in Cairo. The Meridien Cairo Airport is a great hotel. The service from check-in to check-out was excellent. The variety of restaurants with bars was great, the pool and exercise rooms were great, too. Now the best part was we walked from baggage claim across an indoor skyway directly to the hotel.
