To be clear this is NOT a 5Star hotel as offered on t(e Expedia website. We’ve been in many - including through Expedia - but this one has been mislabelled.
Check-in was efficient and easy. The room very small but perhaps that’s what we had paid for. Bathroom was ok.
3 wall sockets but no USB charging points.
Mattress firm and very welcoming.
The bar area which is also the Reception was too smokey and we couldn’t stay. We enquired about a No Smoking area but there was none available.
Buffet dinner was in a canteen (wouldn’t call it a restaurant) but like for breakfast nothing was hot; all options were tepid.
The free hotel bus was welcomed although the hotel was only a 5-minute ride away.

The main problem for me was cigarette smoke smell in the room combined with a smell of a chemical which was probably used to reduce the smell of the cigarettes.
The result was that I could smell both.
Luckily I could open the window fully as it was not too cold outside, unluckily though there was a loud dismantling of equipment after some event, and it was around 23:00.
The bedding was good though and I managed to have a decent quality sleep

I was pleased with this hotel’s service focus and beyond essential amenities. Food quality and variety at one of restaurant I visited exceeded my expectation. Only suggestion, I can provide is to have slippers as a standard amenities, and deep clean the shower area which is not easy for regular housekeeping staff to tackle on a daily room cleaning protocol. Keep up the good service as I will sure to visit this hotel and recommend to my friends and families.

Le Passage is truly a calming oasis in an exciting city. The gardens are kept up beautifully and the two pools are refreshing. The staff couldn't be more helpful and as one porter said, we're like family.

The hotel is obviously convenient to the airport but is also extremely well maintained. The rooms, gardens and swimming pools create a true oasis. Their staff are above the rest in customer service. No request is ever ignored. It is my go to hotel when in Cairo.

Clean and comfortable room. Good food in restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. This is one of the few hotels in Egypt that is close to the hotel standard in USA in the class of the Embassy Suite. The location is close to Cairo Airport, just a few minutes drive, with free shuttle service.

Took a long time to get through the airport traffic for pickup, but once there and through the security, the reception area is large and spacious. The check in process is a little slow as they only have two agents working, but once again, they were very friendly and accommodating. The upgraded room with access to a lounge with drinks and small snacks was a wonderful welcome! Rooms are very clean, fresh, nice amenities. Did not get a change to use the pool or sauna, which would have been so nice-maybe next time to stay an additional day! Compared to the hotel in the airport, this is a substantial upgrade from what I was told by fellow travelers in our group. Just give yourself an extra half hour to get to the airport and enjoy this beautiful hotel. You won't regret it!

The hotel is really beautiful. My room immaculate and very comfortable. The most luxurious shower. Food and coffee were excellent. All staff were friendly and hospitable; Haney, the General Manager went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my stay. Impressive!

Housekeeping are so pushy. Even with don’t disturb sign still knock on the door and insist on cleaning. They are too loud talking to each other in the hallways while working. Their manager was reprimanding a worker in the hallway while guests going back and forth.

I ate in “ the Chinese “ restaurant waited 25 minutes for my drink and 45 minutes for 1 appetiser plate and 1 noodle dish !! Half the appetisers were cold and the noodle dish was very salty ( not from the soy , too much added salt ) I did tell the staff and they seemed very unbothered
Shame as everything else was great.

The room was very nice. However, i went straight to sleep as travelling all day. At around 23.00 a butler appeared in my room, I am here to help you check out! Get out Ive just checked in! Also the TV would not switch on, so had on repeat with sound hotel info. Fortunately i had eye mask and ear plusg from the plane. Reported this on check out and they didnt seem bothered. Oh and tried to phone for the butler to turn the tv off and that did not work. Compensation please?

The room was very spacious and there were complimentary snacks for us which were greatly appreciated. The hotel was very well appointed, and since it is near the airport, there were a lot of international guests which made it fun. I was surprised to have such a luxurious hotel for that price point. The staff were very helpful. We had Italian food first night, a scrumptious breakfast buffet with crepes the next morning. They had a gym, a massage spa, and a disco! I wish this was in America!

Also I was on transit stop I was given voucher from Egypt air because for lay over and they took the egypt air voucher.
No balcony ,also restaurant near the breakfast so dirty

The hotel resort itself was very nice and the rooms clean quiet and comfortable beds. We had a welcome drink and breakfast included..I was disappointed with both. The welcome drink was just a juice - I expected an alcoholic drink ?! The breakfast buffet was large and with many items but I have to say this was the worst breakfast I have ever had anywhere. I could not eat a thing. The toast was very dry the eggs were dry and crusty. I think perhaps you could order custom eggs not sure as we were in a rush. Pool area and bar seemed nice enough but it was cool time of year to use. And the lobby bar was nice to have a drink and smoke. I chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport. So it served its purpose for 1 night for our group.

This is the perfect place to stay for your last night in Cairo. Nice rooms. Lots of food & drink options. Shuttle to the airport every 15 minutes. Took us 5 minutes on the shuttle to our terminal.

Heating and lighting was faulty in the room allocated. I was moved to another’upgrade’ room late at night, which also had faulty lighting. This room was renovated but already looks tired.
The price of this hotel has increased hugely and it must improve its basic operational management to match its higher prices. Disappointing as I have used this place a lot in the past.

Check in was smooth. Reception did not give enough details about restaurants open at the time we checked in as it was a bit late and we could not go out to eat. He said the restaurant in the premise are closed while when we checked at the bar he said there is a restaurant open late. So I wish the reception gave us correct information which could have saved us sometime searching for restaurants near by that late at night.

We stayed 2 separate times during our trip when we had flights leaving and arriving in Cairo. The shuttle to the airport was fast and easy. The shuttle pickup from the airport was also super easy. All of the staff ate very helpful and friendly. Everyone speaks english. Highly recommend the room that comes with the butler lounge (alchol and non alchol beverages, snacks, desserts, fruit). We loved having beers at the pool bar and the Oranjerie Restaurant food and service was excellent. The rooms and amenities are high quality. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Both nights we stayed were comfortable and relaxing. Would stay again.

Airport shuttle was fine but I suggest adding the hotel on WhatsApp prior to travel. Also, I found the WiFi at Cairo airport to be unreliable. So be sure to have local data service in your phone upon arrival.
This hotel was nice, comfortable and functional. However it felt as if I was in a three star resort hotel but staying in the off season. Or a hotel that in the past was more popular, but now is in a downward trajectory. As examples, the executive lounge was open, but no guests were in it, no coffee available, snacks were sparse and looked stale. The pool and area surrounding the pool look nice. But the pool was closed and much of the restaurant and pool deck looked like it was abandoned.

A perfect mid range airport hotel. Efficient, regular shuttle service takes about 5 minutes to get to Cairo Airport.

Comfortable room, everything worked well. The staff are wonderful , very helpful and friendly. The pool and fining options are good and the location near the airport is ideal either for arrivals or departures.

I will definitely stay here again.
