The Hotel Real Oeiras was a really nice hotel to stay with a really nice breakfast and very comfortable rooms. Staff were friendly. It suited us because we could walk to the train station about 20 minutes walk and there's some lovely restaurants around Paço de Arcos, again 20 minutes walk away. Ubers are reasonable and train into Lisbon are cheap and don't take that long.

We loved the room size, view and very large balcony. The breakfast was great as well.
The only complaint we had was the concierge at the front desk was lacking in some of the info he gave us. We were not made aware that we would need our room card to ride the elevator, use the electricity in our room etc. We had to keep calling the front desk to get this info.

We booked this hotel bot realizing how close it is to downtown Lisbon. Because we had rented a car, this was a nice surprise, althpugh Im sure theres a bus that could get you anywhere from here if you don't have a car. The staff were extremely nice without being intrusive. Check in and check out were smooth. The room was very nice, especially for the price, quiet, very clean, spacious and well equipped. The balcony and the view were nice as well. We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our trip, and we stayed downtown Lisbon in another hotel for our final night. This hotel was less than half the price and nicer in my opinion, and only a 20 minute drive to downtown! The included breakfast was fantastic, great variety, fresh and good quality (as was all the food we had in Portugal!). Would absolutely stay again.

We arrived late in the evening to a very courteous concierge, quick and easy check in. A bed had been made up for our 8 year old son. The continental breakfast was better than most. We only stayed a night as we were just passing through to our final destination, but the hotel is quite lovely and warrants a longer stay next visit.

Convenience rather than vacation choice

We were staying here to attend a wedding nearby. It’s in a slightly out of the way location on a housing estate next to an office park. It worked for our purposes, room was ok, great view back to Lisbon from upper floors, staff friendly. It’s a convenient choice if need to be in the area but better options if on vacation.

But hotel modern, clean and spacious. Very comfortable for American guests.
Breakfast was good and nice assortment of hot and cold. Served until 10 I believe. I was late first day and she was kind enough to let me grab some things even as she was trying to clean up. That is great service!
I ate dinner there too and my steak sandwich was lovely!

The hotel is a bit out of the way, although there are three restaurants in the vicinity. It’s a bit of a hike up to the hotel from Casias or Paço de Arcas. The hotel restaurant and cleaning staff were super nice. The gym isn’t great with two cycling machines, one rower and weights in a box like room. And there was never any water in the water bottle which was disappointing as the temperatures ranged from 34-38 degrees. Also, the poolside loungers aren’t that comfortable. But the rooms are pleasant and clean. Plus we had a balcony so that was nice. And it was fantastic to have tombe pool which was clean. Breakfasts are great!

Just don’t stay here. The worst.

The stay at this hotel went from bed to worse. Originally I had booked for two nights and then added a third night when planning my trip a few days before. When I arrived at the hotel I was very happy that the staff person allowed me to put my bags in the room early because I had to return my rental car. But the good service ended after that. The hotel was way out and it was a 25 minute walk to the train. No bus or shuttle van. I have been traveling in Portugal for over a month and familiar with amenities at this price point. When I went to the desk to ask to get a refund for the third night so I could leave I was told no. I explained I had booked my room there because the listing showed laundry facilities which there were none except I had a walk down the street in the rain to go to a local laundromat. The room had no amenities such as an iron, ironing board, a bottle of water, or even a box of tissues. Several things are broken including the safe, the TV remote, even the lid on the wastebasket in the bathroom. I told the front desk staff about these broken items. Nothing was fixed. Room was dated with a matted carpet. Questionably cleaned.
Staff at other hotels are wearing masks. At this hotel no one was wearing masks including the Front desk or food service workers. Front desk staff could not have been any less helpful with zero problem solving skills.

Hotel is out of town at the top of a hill , 25 mins walk to station then just 10 minutes on the train to the centre of Lisbon , hotel was clean, most guest's just stayed a night on tours or conferences, local town rather nice, and train to city centre runs along the coast ' the staff were nor very friendly, no good morning , no smiles, ok if you were staying a night maybe however we stayed for a week so became noticeable

What a great hotel! Not central, but extremely comfortable. The room, which was very quiet, had everything you used to get in the old days before everything got scaled down. My sleep quality was EXCELLENT! Really comfortable bed, nice bathtub, a fully stocked fridge and tea caddy, and doors that don't shut automatically. There's a little workout room in the basement. And the breakfast buffet, which was included, was good.

I'd like to make a special mention about the lifts, which were very responsive. They came quickly and moved quickly. So you never had to wait.

Disabled room, very disappointing. Hairs in the bathtub and on the toilet floor. Breakfast could be improved. Scrambled eggs soggy. Description mentions indoor and outdoor pool, there's only a small outdoor pool, a tiny gym.

Clean safe comfortable hotel. Situated in a residential area it’s quiet. The staff are lovely, everyone amiling, helpful, can’t do enough for you. Rooms were spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was ok. There was a big selection of foods from lots of nationalities.
Teenagers enjoyed the quiet , clean pool. There is a small well equipped gym (but we didn’t use it).
Short 15/20min pleasant, down hill walk to train station. Large shopping centre a 10 minutes walk.
Would recommend and stay again.
We stayed for 8 nights for a family holiday 🏖

Very nice hotel staff. The hotel is in a residential quiet neighborhood. It is situated about 25 minute to Lisbon and 15 minute to nice beach in Oeiras itself. The rooms are OK but may need more comfort such as iron or toiletries. Bathrooms have old style bidets which is a plus. Breakfast was very good. They have paid parking but free street parking is possible as well. Price and value were very good for our vacation time.

Fantastic place. I originally thought there were not places around it but just didn't see them as we drove in. The hotel staff were exceptional and everyone made sure we had a pleasant stay. We were there over Valentine's Day and paid for the special dinner. Wow! Gourmet food, drinks, and amazing service. It was decorated so nicely and the staff seemed invested in our happiness. I can't rave enough about the staff and their work. We were there three nights. It was good to have English- speaking staff, too. Highly recommended.

Terrible location, no access to public transports, had to get a taxi everyday.
The breakfast was always the same, stayed there for 5 night and was fed up with the same thing everyday, amd there wasn't much variety, when something finishes I had to keep asking for them to put some food.
The hotel gym is terrible, 4 exercise little machines, very small room.

Wonderful hotel with welcoming staff

Our room was thoroughly cleaned and tidied on a daily basis. Anything needed was provided without much delay. Amenities such as shops, cafe, bus stop available at short walk. Very clean surrounding environment and picturesque view of the area. Meals were delicious and buffet style suited our family of one child. Very polite and helpful staff who were attentive to customer's needs. Overall, it was a lovely stay and a great experience!

Recommended hotel - Very happy holiday!

Nice hotel. It's no secret that it's a bit out of town so we were prepared and hired a car and with a car the location is great as you're then 20 mins from anywhere - central Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, numerous sandy beaches including Guincho that is definitely recommended. There is plenty of free parking on the street outside the hotel.
Plus there is a great little burger joint 2 mins walk round the corner called Abakua Café that serve great burgers for under €6 - Well worth a visit!
Good quality wifi in the room and lovely view over to the suspension bridge and Christo Rei as well as free SportTV on the tele to watch all the football - bonus!!!
Only negatives - beds are very hard and no tea/coffee facility in the room.
Happy holiday though and well recommended hotel :)

One night stop-over on our honeymoon. Great hotel conveniently located with an excellent view of the valley. The room was very nice and the hotel has a well-appointed gym and spa. Ate at a fun little bar a short walk to the bottom of the hill. For 45 euros (including a very tasty breakfast for two) this place is an amazing deal.

Hotel Oeiras in Portugal

This hotel was located 18 minutes away from Lisbon. But for the money saved it was worth it. The hotel was a little isolated, we had to take a taxi from the hotel to the train station (5 Euros) and the train to go to Lisbon. The trip from the train to Lisbon is beautiful, the train travels outside no in tunnels and you can see the Mediterranean sea. Also we went from the same train station to Cascais, very famous place to lunch and from there you can also go to Sintras. This is a four star hotel, delicious fresh food, and a wonderful buffet breakfast. In comparison with the prices charged in Lisbon for the same amenities it was wonderful. Also it will give the opportunity to navigate in the suburbs. Wonderful experience.

Real Oeiras is about fifteen minutes from the centre of Lisboa, in a nice quiet neighbourhood. There are a couple of decent restaurants nearby, within walking distance, plus a good restaurant in the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was incredible - lots of fresh fruit, juices, bread, hot sausages etc. It is located close enough to major highways that getting in and out of the city to travel around is quite easy. Once or twice there was a traffic holdup, but not major.

We arrived after 9pm and received a warm welcome from the hotel staff before we headed to the bar for a quick drink and something to eat from the snacks/sandwiches menu, again the bar staff were very friendly and helpful, good food too! Our room was clean, tidy and nicely presented; very comfortable. The next day we found all of the staff very friendly and helpful, this continued for the whole week. The hotel was very quiet during the week that we stayed, this appears to be fairly normal, the hotel seems to cater to the couple and business travel market more than for families, though I'm sure families would be welcomed too. The beds are very comfortable despite some of the other reviews which say they are too hard, they are firm but very comfortable. Overall, we were extremely happy with the Hotel Real and would be happy to stay there again.
Very highly recommended.

A good location to access Lisbon

We stayed only for one night and the hotel was very clean. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment. It's an excellent location just outside Lisbon with amazing views to the bridge. Only 20 minutes drive to the centre of Lisbon. My only negative about Lisbon is the amount of graffiti all over the place. Why on earth the authorities don't clean it up is a mystery to me. Overall the hotel gets a 4* rating from me

Didn't find the staff overtly welcoming they were average, things like trips places to visit I thought they could be a little more forthcoming.

Beds were hard like board I couldn't believe a four star hotel could even contemplate having beds this hard like bricks.

You need a car for this location to get out and about, all in all it was okay I personally wouldn't stay there again or recommend the hotel just on a personal level and comfort

Hotel staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant. My room was clean and comfortable. The people of Portugal overall are very kind and even though we didn't speak Portuguese, we were able to maneuver through the city with veritable ease. The sights are amazing, the beaches are beautiful and the food is excellent!!!

Ok, I am a frequent user of this hotel, and I stay repeatedly due to the customer service which is excellent and it is close to the business park 10 minutes down a very steep hill, but they have a shuttle bus in the morning. In the evening its a steep hill walk back, or a taxi. Most of the times the rooms are spotless and clean and scores a 5 but this time the bath was not completely clean, so it scores a 4. Very fast internet in the rooms, and a nice bar not too far away called.. umm something like \"Abak\", great salads and burgers. Recommended.

Good for the business park

If you are working at the business part this is a good choice as in the morning it has a shuttle bus directly to the business park, but coming back, you will need to walk or take a taxi, the walk is on 10 minutes but the hill is extremely steep. It has a swimming pool, and sunbeds etc, but I have never seen them in use. It has a small functional excercise room. The beds are interesting: they are large but quite hard ( which I like ), and the pillows are square not rectangular, which might look pretty but not all that comfortable. Best feature of the hotel is the service, which is excellent, very friendly and polite and also helpful and patient ( when its required :) ).

Great views from a good hotel

There is no doubt that this hotel holds some of the finest views over the mouth of the River Tagus. The hotel is very good and I would recommend it for short stays. It is not really a hotel for a holiday visit to Lisbon, being to far from the city.
Facilities at the hotel are good apart from the restuarant which is overpriced and and underused by guests. In a 3 week visit to Portugal and staying at the Hotel Real the dinner was the most disappointing of our stay.

Hotel lobby more impressive than the rooms

The hotel was generally quite nice, the rooms were a bit dated but overall the beds were fairly comfortable and the washroom was pretty clean.

Fairly decent hotel...a little far out for leisure

We enjoyed our stay. The hotels location is a little far away if you don't have a car. The food in the hotel was fairly standard. There is a great wee cafe and separate terrace restaurant very close by to the hotel so it makes the location tollarable (not stuck with the hotel grub) beds were solid. Wouldn't recommend a long stay.

Very nice hotel, good service

Very nice and comfortable hotel, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Since located on a hill, rooms on higher floors towards south have a nice view to the river. Good connection by train to the city; ca. 15 min walk between hotel and train station through nice residence area.

Hotel staff were friendly, supportive and helpful

Excellent 4* hotel with great service and hospitality. From day one the help and comfort was always there, it was like being at home! Local to the beach and 20minutes away from Lisbon town! Amazing, ourdoor pool was cold though however food, stay and hotel was great!

One stay out of a four month tour

Some of the staff where very nice while some tok all theeir time to even smile. We moved rooms as the bed was old and ridgedand the aircon did not work properly and made awful noises during the night. They cater more for business groups and one night we were told there was no room for us at dinner!! One good person is Carlos in the bar, great guy
