Beautiful place and surroundings

Food was great, great coffee, beautiful garden room, fabulous pool area and service. My only issue was that my 2 year old hasnt an understanding of noise yet, and we were asked to 'shh' at the pool, my son is 2 and therefore does not understand this, with all due respect, I found this quite upsetting and stressful, he was talking and not shouting just giggling having fun in the pool, this was the only spoiler. However, apart from this the food, staff and whole place was lovely! Would highly reccomend.

We stayed here to be outside downtown Bologna. Very nice place — great for weddings which was happening. They had a great onsite restaurant as well. It catered not only to hotel guests but also the locals. Our food and service were great. They had on site parking for free too — underground garage. The hotel staff was very friendly as well. Good stay.

Lovely hotel, lovely pool, 1/2 hour from Bologna

Very nice hotel an easy half-hour drive to Bologna with lovely spacious classically decorated rooms, friendly service, a big refreshing pool set in lovely shady grounds, and a very good casual and convivial restaurant. The only deficit was the weak AC---which in the very hot August weather did not entirely cool the rooms at night even when set as low as possible. A fan helped, but there was only one, so our adult kids in the second room had a somewhat uncomfortable night. No AC was on in the public areas of the hotel, either, nor in the restaurant. It would have been nice to have been able to opt to stay cool in the indoor breakfast room, for example.....I did discover as we left one large vacant room in the basement, next to the parking garage, which seemed intended for use at business meetings though no business meetings were occurring, airconditioned to a blessedly cool termperature for no apparent reason. Why not cool a pubic space that guests could enjoy, instead?

Hotel Relais Villa Valfiore

The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and they exceptional service. The staff was wonderful and friendly, and were very prompt when they were needed. The front desk were wonderful and respectful and helped in every way possible. They answered any questions, and were very patient in explaining everything. We were extremely pleased with our stay, just can’t say enough how wonderful we were treated, and will definitely come back to Relais Villa Valfiore in Venice.

Decent place for the price

We enjoyed one night at the Relais after landing in Bologna. The hotel was a 25 minute drive from the Bologna airport and was easy to find using Google Maps. It was nice to have covered parking for the car. Our room was the ground floor of a small outbuilding, and it was very charming. The amenities might be a little dated, but everything was clean and functioned well. We didn't use the pool as the weather was too cold during our visit. I don't think the pool is heated.
There was more traffic noise that I expected considering the hotel isn't off the highway, but the road by the hotel seems to service a popular gardening center and I think there's a good bit of agricultural vehicles driving by.
I arranged for us to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was surprisingly packed (it's a large restaurant) with mostly Italian families. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary by Italian standards.
Overall, considering the price point, the hotel is good value for money.

Hidden Gem in the Mountains

A lovely, secluded hotel. A couple of minor issues that the staff tried to be proactive on. Some units do not have air-conditioning, was offered a unit on an upper floor that did, but stairs, for me, are a challenge. Staff put a dehumidifier that provided some relief.
There was a large party that closed the dinning room and the staff provided a list of nearby eateries to visit. The problem was that when the hotel guest returned to the property all the parking was taken and we ended up having to walk 300-400m in the dark back to the hotel. (Reserving 5 or 6 spaces would have been a good plan).
The kitchen cooks a great meal and is not to be missed. The food is paired with private label wine, that works well and is priced reasonably.
For a quiet get a way, this location is perfect.

Lost its magic

I stayed here 3 years ago and it was amazing!
Now it’s a bit run down - my room had scratch marks all along the walls. A plague of smelly insects in the bathroom and it wasn’t that clean.
The property looks messy and tired in the garden area and the pool was green and brown. Yes l know it’s out of season however when l stayed here 3 years ago in late October it was pristine. Small dogs are an extra €10 and there is no breakfast buffet due to Covid which is ridiculous l just stayed in 22 hotels in the last month in Italy and all of them had buffet breakfasts. I won’t be back. Will stay elsewhere.

Direi due cose importanti però..anche perchè vorrei tornarci ma solo se queste cose sono modificate.
Il wifi in camera era moltooo lenta. Mandare un email ok, ma dovevo usare google doc e non andava troppo volte e video niente e mi serviva per il lavoro e pure per mio figlio che ho lasciato mentre ho fatto un massaggio..prenotato prima..e per un ora è stato in camera solo..che non ho portato libri.. e poi volevamo anche nel prenotare il viaggio guardare un film insieme la sera..l'ho immaginato come una piccola vacanza per noi.
Ho chiesto aiuto ma il reset non è funzionato.

2. Il signore in piscina, che è molto gentile e molto disponibile, bravo, non portava una mascherina nessuno dei 2 giorni abbiamo passato in piscina e purtroppo si avvicina. Molto molto gentile e bravo ma troppo pericolo per gli ospiti....

Altrimenti molto bello tuttoe staff molto gentile

The villa and the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are lovely (traditional but with a modern twist) with everything you need inside, everything everywhere was spotless, the food was incredible and the staff are amazing.

Small hotel. It’s worth £70 a night, but not really worth £100 in my opinion. The AC wasn’t strong so I wouldn’t stay here again in hot weather. The mattress on the bed was nicer than a standard hotel.

Very nice Villa Style small hotel just outside the city. Easy access from highway along some nice country lanes.
The room was a good size and very comfortable.
Grounds are well kept and there is a very large swimming pool and deck area.
The resturant was closed when I attended, which was a shame, but the staff booked me into a very nice local place but it was a drive away.
All in all this was a very enjoyable stay in an individual hotel

Classic Italian Style

After purchasing a car in Germany, we started 4-day drive to Rome, stopping in Bologna on the 3rd nighr. Villa Valfiore was the perfect place for us, right off the Autostrada, in the farmland right outside Bologna. The old house has been perfectly restored in modern style, but without losing its charm. The hotel has covered free parking, and the rooms are classic, high-end Euopean style. The restaurant is a lively, family-fruendly place, very populat with the locals. We loved the pizza and enjoyed their impressive selection of Italian dark beers I would recommend this place for families looking for comfotable, first-class accommodations and full amenities.

Pent uteområde med veldig fint basseng og god restaurant. MEN: hotellet brukes mye til bryllup, og her blir boende gjester fullstendig ignorert. Begge helgene i vårt opphold ble preget av dette: Bassengområdet ble stengt uten varsel og vi ble nektet adgang, samme med restauranten. Dette er helt uakseptabelt, sammen med høy musikk og støy fra festene langt utover natten. Kaos og underbemanning under frokosten. Dette hotellet ligger veldig landlig til, og taxi er vanskelig. Regn med minst 30 minutter til Bologna, om du i det hele tatt får tak i en drosje. Utendørs diskotek hos naboen setter også nattesøvnen på prøve nesten hver natt hele uken.

Una bellissima villa, in un magnifico parco con piscina, camera confortevole, non tanto grande, ma con un bel bagno. Peccato essendo al piano terreno, vicino alla reception e alle scale, un po’ rumorosa verso l’interno. Cercate di farvi dare una camera al piano superiore!

A short stop over on the way further south.. nice room with a balcony, small bathroom, especially the shower.. convinient with an Italian restaurant next door which served delicious plates and offered a wide range of wine. The pool area between the hotel and the restaurant was nice, but too crowed, seems like it was not only for hotel guests, and we were lucky to get a sun chair late afternoon. A stay of one or two nights is fine.

Skønt hotel til ferie med venner

Hotel Relais Villa Valfiore er et skønt sted. Hotellet ligger i en stor have og har også en rigtig fin restaurant, hvor man både kan sidde inde og ude - afhængig af vejret.
Vi nød opholdet og kommer formentlig igen.

Ich war zwei Tage quasi zum “am Pool liegen” dort und dafür war es ausgezeichnet! Allerdings soll es am Wochenende deutlich voller und trubeliger sein. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und weitläufig und bietet ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ein erstklassiges, kostenloses unterirdisches Parkhaus - 1a! Das angeschlossene Restaurant ist gut und zu empfehlen. Mein Einzelzimmer war etwas klein, aber in Ordnung. Die Massage war hervorragend.

fint hotel!

Synes generelt at hotellet var super fint. Dog var der mange familier, hunde ved poolen og så var der støj ved poolen om morgenen da hotellet lå tæt på en større vej. Det kunne dog ikke høres om dagen, da restauranten spillede højt pop musik. På plus siden var hotellet i sig selv hyggeligt, poolen var god og det lå i passende afstand til Bologna. Ligeledes var servicen super fin og personalet var rigtig flinke. Øverst står klart deres morgenmad der var sublim. Vi fandt en rigtig god restaurant på toppen af et bjerg tæt på hotellet, som vi klart kan anbefale. Osteria la Palazzina. Husk at kør den rigtige vej(den lange af dem GPS’en foreslår). Vi endte på toppen af et bjerg på en blind vej langt fra restauranten med den hurtigste vej. Gå efter de største veje derhen. Hotellet selv anbefalede kun halvkedelige restauranter med mindre gode anmeldelser. Ulempe ved hotellet var også at området hvor hotellet lå i sig selv var ret kedeligt, men man kunne jo køre til Bologna hvis man havde bil. Alt i alt et sted vi måske godt kunne bo på igen hvis vi kom til området.

Joli hôtel mais dommage pour la surexploitation...

J'ai aimé:
- le cadre: beau jardin et bâtiment, personnel de la réception et du petit déjeuner très sympathiques.
- Petit déjeuner délicieux et varié, chambre correcte.
-piscine magnifique, mais...

Ce que je n ai pas du tout apprécié:

-piscine complètent bondé des gens partout le dimanche (apparemment les gens du village peuvent accéder à la piscine le week-end). Pas un seul transat dispinible ou réservé aux clients de l'hotel, bcp trop de monde et pas du tout reposant, j ai du me coucher sur la pelouse, bien sûr avec des voisins.
-Fête privé sur le jardin avec DJ jusqu'à 23h30, son extremamente fort, impossible de dormir, on dirait qu on était à côté d une rave party avec reggaton et cie.
-le personnel du restaurant dépassé, bcp trop de clients pour le nombre des serveurs, ils étaient efficaces mais trop de monde le week-end, ils ne sont pas de pieuvres !
-Terrasse de la chambre très sale parterre, avec en plus des bouteilles laissé par celui qui a été hébergé avant nous.

Soit, c est un beau hôtel mais dommage qu ils fassent d autres business en dehors de ça affectant les gens qui y séjournent, j y pensais en rester au calme et me reposer après mon long voyage. Il est vrai que lundi tout était calme...

Donc je recomende cet hôtel du lundi au jeudi si vous voulez être au calme...

Un piacevole soggiorno fuori dal centro di Bologna

L'hotel è molto carino e accogliente, il personale gentile, la pulizia buona (nelle camere \"garden\" c'è qualche insetto, essendo aperte sul giardino), il cibo buono (un'ottima pizza), la piscina curata e pulita, il garage grande e comodo. In generale il soggiorno è piacevole e consigliabile, con due note negative: la struttura è ubicata vicino a due strade di scorrimento, quindi si sente il rumore della strada; il mercoledì sera c'è la musica dal vivo e il ristorante dell'hotel è pienissimo di gente. Non è un relais di campagna dove si può cercare quiete e silenzio ma un piacevole e bell'hotel fuori dal centro.
