Excellent, nice, elegant, and modern hotel to stay.
The front desk staff, room staff, and restaurant waiters were very nice and polite. And the breakfast buffet was very good and abundant. I will stay here again next time I go visit Bologna 😊

La mia esperienza è stata eccellente, era tutto molto ben organizzato, lo staff era molto cordiale e pronto ad aiutare, la colazione era varia e buona. Il giorno del mio compleanno mi hanno regalato un sacchettino di biscotti con un messaggio d’auguri, è stato un pensiero molto carino. La lobby è molto bella e mi è molto piaciuto l’albero nel courtyard. La zona ristorazione lo è altrettanto e la piscina è davvero bella. Un grazie in particolare a Patrizia, che si è occupata in modo eccellente ogni giorno della pulizia della nostra stanza con un sorriso e un buongiorno.

We had a triple prestige room for my wife, daughter (15) and myself. There was ample space and the beds were comfy.

The included breakfast was very good, but it didget busy towards the end of service.

The pool is amazing being Olympic size. You do have to pay for the sunbeds and umbrellas, but that does mean they are available and not just covered in towels from 7am. But if you are planning several days around the pool the costs will mount up.

The hotel is a little bit out of the city centre and a taxi will cost about €25 each way. There is a bus but it takes over an hour. Best to have a car.

A very nice hotel a bit too far from the city

Had an enjoyable stay at the Living Place Hotel. Used it as a base to travel around. Hotel was nice and airy, breakfast good, pool was welcome as the temperatures got higher. Restaurant was also very good. Room was average and air con didn’t seem to cool it a great deal resulting in warm nights. Overall an enjoyable stay and would recommend as a base but it is a little too far from the city of Bologna for evening meals or exploring.

Probably the best swimming pool and breakfast in Bologna. Whilst out of town the 89 bus from outside the hotel gets you to the city centre in 30 minutes. The only area of improvement is training for the bar staff, as sadly it took 25 minutes to get served a single glass of wine at the bar

Really liked the hotel - clean, great breakfast buffet (with gluten free options!) Beautiful, giant pool. My only complaint is that guests need to pay for the use of chairs/loungers, umbrellas and towels. (And it was more than we paid at a beach club on the Amalfi Coast!)

Would Not Stay There Again

Check In was chaotic, we were told our rooms were due to be ready at 3pm (it was 11.45) but they should be available well before then. At 15.15, and after asking 2-3 times I eventually got the keys. The Reception was manned by 2-3 women who kept disappearing and the occasional appearance by two lads who were just playing around all the time and acting like idiots.
The rooms were OK, but the aircon was not very effective.
Was told it was close to the city centre, is was 25-30 Euros away - not close at all.
Fawlty Towers was more organised.

Great value and pool

Great location an amazing olympic size swimming pool and free parking. Breakfast was included and had great selections. Nice size shopping mall and mercado 5 minute walk from the hotel. Unfortunately taxi rides are very expensive to go to Old Town which is about 5 km away. There is a bus that takes you there but not on weekends or holidays.

It’s an older hotel that they are remodeling.. but it’s a poor remodel. Our biggest complaint was the that we reserved 3 rooms, only 2 rooms had working air conditioning. We spoke to the hotel multiple times to try to get it fixed, no success.. just promises of it getting fixed and no results, no follow up. When we checked out I mentioned that the rooms AC was still not resolved and they tried to say that the city has not permitted them to turn on the AC. Breakfast is good so that’s a nice perk. Didn’t stay for dinner as the ambiance is terrible bit finding a restaurant nearby is tough as it’s at least 25 min to the downtown by uber and a costly uber ride of $70-$100 Euro. Beds are very firm, but rooms are quite nicely redone with new showers and new furnishings including a laminate floor. I would not return.

Excellent hotel for bologna

This seemed like a business hotel but is a great hotel, situated on the outskirts of bologna. If you have a car it is excellent location for driving to Bologna, Florence, Pisa, Verona and Venice as this is close to the motorway. Good breakfast and plenty of free parking on site. The room was excellent as we had a new room with 2 double beds. It has a nice indoor mall with a supermarket just behind the hotel within 5 minutes walk. Also has Macdonalds and Burger King in the mall along with other eateries. Only downside was the weather and time of year meant we couldn't apprecaite the pool area

Modern hotel just outside of Bologna. We chose this place for the pool which was lovely and the tennis courts which need attention. What frustrated us here was that they charge extra for every facility. Water bottles and soda in the room, charge. You want to sit on a chair at the pool? Charge. You want to sit under an umbrella by the pool? Charge. You want to play a round of tennis? Charge. These amenities should be included in the cost of a nightly stay. Also, 2 of the 3 nights we stayed, granted it was the weekend, there were loud parties at the pool area until 2:00am so difficult to get a good nights sleep. Ask for a room not facing the pool to avoid this.

The property is in a good position just outside Bologna, just a 15 min cab ride from the city centre. Some of the facilities were not open (pool) due to the time of year. The food in the restaurant was very good and the buffet breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would use the hotel again.

hotel in the suburbs with difficult access, but the worst is a room without tv and minibar, in the bathroom protruding wires from the phone, which was not there, worms flying through the windows, and that there was little window overlooking the entrance to the reception and the noise of suitcases pulling on the pavement or people talking on a cigarette smoking, despite the intervention we did not receive another room, max 2 *, only breakfast was ok and coffee was prepared from the machine by the cool service

Last minute booking for CERSAIE tile fair

Didn't realise this hotel I booked was a place we visited last year for dinner with one of the Italian manufacturers whom held dinner here at the restaurant for their clients.

We arrived at the hotel, served by friendly staff. We decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was amazing.

The hotel was great value as well. During the fair usually cost of hotel rooms are through the roof. This hotel was very reasonable even though it was about 20minutes away from the fair.

The rooms look like they have been recently renovated too. With swivel desk, TV, free internet, bar fridge and safe in the room.

Definitely would stay here again!!!

This was an overnight stop en route to Soriano nel Cimino. The price was very good and so we weren’t expecting much and we’re very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and comfortable with a decent shower, safe and mini bar. The receptionist and bar and restaurant staff all spoke English and were friendly. The hotel has a gym and an Olympic sized pool, a lovely poolside terrace and lounge area next to the bar. We were served canapés with our drinks and we had an excellent dinner with wine which was very reasonably priced. The hotel is conveniently close to the motorway but we did not suffer any noise. There was lots of free parking.

Check in was quick, parking was easy, room key didn't work at first so we had to go back down.

Restaurant seemed to boast about how good they were and when we got room service it was just good. Nothing special, especially for those prices... but Italy is quite expensive.

Breakfast had a good selection and you can order other coffees from the bar. However, the food for both mornings were cold.

Pool was closed, and it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel

We booked this hotel believing they had an available outdoor pool .... when we arrived it was not in use as it was out of season. I think the hotel details on the website should include this fact, so you are aware when booking.
Initially when we tried to watch the television we could not find an Englush speaking channel. The second night we were able to find a couple, but the channel seemed to be on 'repeat'.
I would say this is more of a corporate hotel for Italians as it seemed more set up that way. That said, there was a little shopping centre just behind it which was great.
As the hotel was a twenty minute taxi ride outside of the hotel, it could be costly I think. No trains are buses were available.

The hotel is not as good expected or advertised. It is not as clean, and needs updates. The pool was closed when we arrived, and we were told it was going to be closed next day too - then we decided to move to a different hotel. The restaurant food was average. At check out, our dinner was not added to our bill, so we had to spell each plate we selected while the receptionist was calling the restaurant to get the prices at the same time, she did gave us the bottle of wine for free because of this mistake, so we are very appreciative.

Quite place with parking area. Room is comfortable and spacious.(We were happy to be upgraded). Unfortunately cleanliness was not what we expected. We extended our stay - bathroom was not cleaned at all since hairs were all over the floor and a stain was not at all removed. With a tissue we did it ourselves. Coffee was not hot during breakfast but food during dinner was good. Wi-Fi in the room, at times weak but working.
The 2 ladies in the reception area were both very friendly and helpful. Our waiter was also very friendly.
Super olympic-size swimming pool.
Not so far to drive to the city of Bologna.

Would NOT recommend!

After a 24 hour trip from the US we were unable to check into our rooms for over an hour. Once in the rooms they were hot and stuffy, generally not clean, and there were two visible spiders and four stink bugs inside the room. Also the A/C didn't work because the had turned it off for the winter which was unfortunate because the rooms were uncomfortably warm. This is NOT a four star hotel!

One of the worst places I have ever stayed

If you want to sleep do not stay at this hotel. Loud and rowdy groups of other guests outside the hotel kept us up both nights with the second night being a hotel function with loud music late into the night that could be heard as if the deejay were playing in our room. Stay anywhere but here. This problem overshadowed anything positive that could have been said about this hotel.

5 nights in a room for improvement

The lobby tried to be modern but was really a cold and oppressing environment, thankfully uplifted by the smiling, helpful staff.
The hotel had a dated, medical feel.

Our room = bare minimum; the most modern element - a chunky '90s TV. There were wall vents that appeared to have once omitted a black substance, thus staining the surrounding area. The light switches were confusing and badly arranged and a plug socket was hanging by the wires.

Dismal bathroom; the lightswitch was hidden behind a waterproof rubber flap that was awkward. There was a pull-cord alarm like in an OAP bedsit. Dirty shower curtain. The sink was big thus the mirror too far away.

A package containing a nail file, 1 earbud and 1 cotton pad - After using these the cleaners had put them back in the pack as if to be reused!

We ventured to breakfast, undirected, into the restaurant area. There was an array of typical continental foods laid out in a buffet style, within each genre of food, there was very little choice. The general produce qualitity best described as cost effective!
Some people were served coffee; we recieved no such service. There appeared to be others equally as confused- Did we need to pay extra for that?

Outside was the swampy green pool next to ugly concrete bleachers. Website pics misleading.

Italy is beautiful, it's a shame this hotel did not represent the pride and welcoming that the rest of our holiday did. I hope that, soon, more life will be breathed into the Living Place Hotel.

The bar and restaurant were ok. Food was decent and staff good. Thats it though.
The rooms are awful, basic to say the least. Make a travelodge feel like luxury, dirty carpets, mouldy bathroom, tv from the 60's with a remote that didn't work and no english channels, filthy windows, beds so hard that you may as well sleep on the floor, pillow a pointless flat pancake. Pool maybe olympic size, but don't be fooled by the website photos, i doubt it has been cleaned or updated for 40 years. The trees and countryside views on the website are also fiction, this place is between 2 roads and on a roundabout.

The hotel was easy to find, just off the motorway from the airport. We ate in the restaurant a few times and were very pleased with both the service and the food. The pool was excellent, being large enough for a proper swim. The pool is used by local swimmers, who keep to one side in lanes, so don't hog the space in any way. You do have to listen to their coaches if you're down at the pool, and with temperatures in the 30s and sunshine all day, you'll want to visit the pool! We had a hire car, and you would be a bit limited without one as there is not much to walk to, apart from a huge supermarket & daytime food vendors. The room was large, had a good shower, fridge & safe. Our only gripe was an overly firm bed, which was not particularly comfortable. The location a couple of km from the motorway made touring easy, with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Ducati all close by, and the latter two offering excellent factory tours for fellow petrol heads.

Grimy depressing hotel

This is a hotel catering for large groups. First impressions are not positive - the building seems about 50 years old, facade of the high-rise is grimy, rooms are tiny, and fixtures old. Big sign in parking saying \"Dont leave anything in the car\" indicates that they have issues with car breakins. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Wifi though available isnt strong enough to connect from the rooms - just the lobby. The staff at the reception were cheerful and helpful. This is a hotel in the suburbs, so there are no other dining options nearby except their restaurant. The restaurant is passable and pricey. Breakfast though was pretty good. It seems like an airport hotel, except that the airport is some 20 minutes away (without traffic).
