It is a vertical building but not as wide. I found the oval architecture very original. Try going all the way to the top floor and look down. It was a comfortable stay, overall. The staff was professional. It is at a crossroad making transportation a breeze by cab. Many nearby restaurants and a big shopping center with a grocery store.

Though my room was nonsmoking , it smelled like cigarettes badly . Air conditioning was working only as a heating warm , not cooling . My room temperature was about 28C degrees , barely could sleep . I could here neighbors opening and shutting a very heavy window in their rooms all night long , felt like walks in room shakes every time . It is definitely 2-3 star hotel , not 5. Please be aware before making reservation .

The location is good, the front of house staff can be unhelpful, breakfast expensive You can get a better breakfast for 1/4 the price within 50 metres), bed comfortable, shower had a tendency to leak across floor due to poor seal, wall paper peeling in places, good cleaning, good wellness centre (although pool under maintenance), difficult for visitors to park nearby (used Armada shopping centre car park). Quite expensive hotel, there are others nearby that appear to be cheaper and will not likely use Movenpick in future.

A trip to remember

Second to none, I can honestly say that it was one of the best stays I've experienced in many years.

Could not have asked for more friendly, polite, kind, and helpful staff.

As for the location and area, it was very convenient with all one could need and want in varied food outlets and services.

I'd definitely want to stay at this hotel again if I'm ever in Ankara again.

Very bad service for a five star hote.

Although I called them in advance to confirm that I could get my invoice on my company name when I do the booking over hotels.com, they said it is not possible during my check in. Thats horrible.

This is obviously a good hotel but every other 5-star hotel I stayed at was better.

The shower (of my first room) was dirty and the door hinges were missing their covers. My second room was much better.

The shower in the sauna area was not working at all.

The breakfast was weird. I had to ask for thing many times while in other hotels, things are in front of the customer and they can pick what they want- even at much cheaper hotels.

Everything wonderful at hotel room breakfast, hospitality, hotel location except only 2 things.
1-Hotel is pet friendly so that I selected it but they requested additional fee for the pet nearly 300₺ which is not an issue but it should be informed at the booking process of hotels.com
2-Room is very clear actually but when you try to open window or air conditioner the dust is starting to fly which is not good for me who has allergies.

Terrible service, DO NOT ever go there.

We arrived around 11pm and the reception told us to wait. We were so tired and just wanted to go to sleep and it is very unreasonable to check us in around midnight, making us waited for around 30 minutes.

This attitude does not match 5 star hotel at all. Very very very bad. Even after reasoning with the reception person, he still did not make any effort to let us check in asap.

Having been travelling to at least 30 countries and stayed in various hotels, this is the 1st time I have gotten this kind of bad service, and this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Very terrible. Will NEVER go back again.

This reception/branch is ruining the reputation of Movenpick Hotel.

Where to start???? We had 17 hrs journey before our stay here so we were really tired. We were given a room which looked nice, clean and tidy. We fell asleep in short time after taking shower. Then I woke up for toilet at night but the toilet door was locked. I had to go down to toilet at reception at 2.30am and asked for an explanation. They said it might happen that the door lock might have moved and that they can send a technician. My wife and daughter were sleeping and that was not an option! I went to toilet at reception one more time during the night and luckily we were jatlag so we called the technician at 4.30am. Then the concert trials started in the ahopping mall next door at 05.00 am and the air coditiin never worked properly. When I made a complaint about all the things, they offered us a room with an upgrade but my mother in law was having similar problems in the next room but they said they can’t offfer her a room. The staff is professional and helpful, I must give it to them. Nevertheless, I am travelling a lot related to work and stay in a lot of different places all over europe. This was my worst experience so far.

Great to Refresh.

In comparison to other hotels, a little on the expensive side but the hotel is well placed near central transport systems that get you around Ankara. The room was comfortable although the bathroom setup was a little weird, but all in all a comfortable room and hotel. The bed was divine, felt like sleeping on a cloud.

Major shopping malls close and choices for food available. Movenpick ice cream sold on site and as always delicious. For a one night stop over, was a great refresher.

Nice hotel but you cannot call yourself a 5 start hotel and not have AC working in summer. I requested 4 times for someone to address it and nobody got back to me. It either wasn't working or not turned on. Either way, not good enough.

Hotel was newly built and the room was decorated nicely.The only problem was at the indoor area,they told us to buy head covers for entering the pool and spa,ok we did as we were told to but then we started seeing people swimming in the jacuzzi or the pool without any head covers etc. It was not nice at all. If there is a hotel policy then it must be implied to everyone.

A Terrible Experience

We just asked for a good night in the centre of Ankara, and we trusted Moevenpick Quality but it did not go as planned. When we arrived there, It was late and there was a receptionist with a bare smile. He wasnt looking at us at all as if He was a prisoner there and he was chained. We took our card and went to room by ourselves! Nobody helped us or introduced the room. We entered the room, It was nice looking, clean but very very cold. We started A/C but it was pumping cool and cold air only. We waited for it to be hot, we tried every combination but nothing changed. We decided to sleep since we were very tired. I opened the minibar to get a water and It was totally empty. There was an empty tray on top of it, written \"these tea and water are for you, complimentary\". It was like a nightmare but fortunately We had some water left in our bags. I did not want to call room service because it was late, we were tired and I was very angry. I did not want to get in any trouble with anybody because I was afraid of breaking hearts of someone who is probably innocent. In the morning we decided to take a bath but water was very hot or very cool, we could not manage to balance it as well. So this is our experience, cold, dry, hot, tiring and hopeless. I will never stay there again.

A Great Hotel... and room for improvement.

Movenpick Hotels are my favorite and I have always had great experience staying at Movenpick. I would book Movenpick again but I think there a few issues that can be addressed.

The main issue with Movenpick Ankara was the housekeeping. I did not receive housekeeping the first day at all. During the next days housekeeping was maintained regularly but in at least 3 occasions with noticeable shortcomings (missing towel sets, toilet paper, shampoo, etc) and every time I had to call the front desk for the missing items. Once reported, though, the items were delivered within minutes. I think the hotel could use some improvement in this respect. Also, I asked for and received a non-smoking room. As long as the air condition worked all was good. But once I shut down the air conditioning, I noticed the smell of cigaret smoke \"oozing\" into the room. I don't know how the set up is in terms of smoking/nonsmoking designated rooms, but clearly there is something not entirely working here.

A very nice hotel by a highway and a mall

The hotel is convenient, clean and attractive. Rooms are fine. Staff are fine, too,only a receptionist was grumpy, but the manager was professional and helpful. The only attractive thing about the location of the hotel is that it is near the metro station, otherwise it is next to a highway and a mall, away from the central city, with no green area by the hotel or near by. Once you get out of the lobby of the hotel you can take taxi or the metro to go \"somewhere\" unless you spend time next door in one of the typical malls in Turkey. Breakfasts were very good but I did not eat any other meals in the hotel,
