Incredible! Highly recommend the BELMOND experience for Cusco. It is right in the city centre and has such great history attached to it. I also recommend the spa, we did the three hour mother / daughter experience and loved it.

Our stay was amazing particularly thanks to the staff. They went above and beyond at all times. Everyone is super pleasant and welcoming when helping you with any requests. Particularly Freddy and Saul were helpful on our stay but everyone was great. We did a tour booked by the hotel with their suggested local guide (Gustavo) which was fantastic. My only negative would be the restaurant Mauko for dinner wasn’t the best and the breakfast offerings there I feel could be improved.

Peaceful and impeccable grounds and unsurpassed service
Unexpected luxury in middle of Cuzco. Walking distance to shopping. Superb dining at hotel and at sister hotel Monesterio right next door. Can’t go wrong! Stayed here before traveling out to Machu Picchu. Hotel is a relaxing vacation in and of itself.

The instant we got to Belmond Palacio Nazarenas we knew we should have booked more nights. It is the best hotel we've ever stayed at. We were greeted with some delicious tea and cookies, and then showed to our room. We had been upgraded to a bigger suite. The room itself was beautiful, as well as the bathroom with separate toilet, shower, and a huge bathtub. We also had a balcony overlooking a beautiful courtyard. We then settled in and had the complimentary pisco sour lesson in our room with our wonderful butler Victor. When I mentioned I would love to try some Peruvian fruits, he brought a tray of multiple local fruits so I could try them all in our room! Rooms also include complimentary pisco, rum, espresso, and a free stocked minibar and snacks. The swimming pool is outrageously beautiful. The breakfast buffet was stunning and delicious. You can also use the steam room at the spa for free. We were almost crying as we packed our suitcases... Can't wait to visit another Belmond hotel on our next vacation.

Great stay in Cusco

Wonderfully gracious hotel and staff. We stayed in the newer wing facing the pool so we didn't have any of the lovely views of Cusco, but it was also quiet and close to the restaurant for breakfast. Also great to take a dip in the pool and hop back to our room. Great location in Cusco and very helpful staff. We stayed 5 days.

This hotel is fantastic from the beautiful rooms to the ever attentive staff. We stayed for four nights in total in 2 different rooms; both were beautifully decorated and exceedingly comfortable. The hotel excels at providing delightful treats like free delicious rum and pisco in the rooms and illy coffee machines. The breakfast is fantastic, and so are the pisco sours in the bar! You definitely pay for the privelege, but it feels worth it.

The hotel is also perfectly located near to the main square and Sacsayhuman ruins.

Excellent hotel in Cusco

I chose this hotel as a place to hangout in Cusco for a few days to get acclimated to the altitude before extensive hiking. My decision was based on online reviews. I was so impressed with the hotel in every way. We had a gorgeous room with excellent amenities. The service was 5 start top to bottom. We thoroughly enjoyed the bar and restaurant. The food was very good and the staff was excellent. We took most of our meals outside next to the beautiful heated pool. The location is quite good with easy walking to many desirable sights and restaurants. We were there during the sun festival in June celebrating the Winter Solstice which was also a great time to be in the city. I can not imagine you could do much better in Cusco than this beautiful hotel.

When landing in a city such as this where you need to acclimate for the first day to the high altitude, there’s no better way than loungin in style at their hotel. They’ll provide you with fresh cups of coca tea, and a first class service throughout the day, whether you want dine in room services or a private pisco presentation. And don’t forget the 9 o clock late night chocolate calls and bed warmers!

The rooms are spectacular, and oxygen enriched to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. The grounds themself are gorgeous and it’s hard to want to leave the hotel.

Overall if you are looking for a comfortable stay afternoon hours of exploring Cusco and the surrounding area, look no further.

Best Hotel in Cusco with some nice surprises

This could be the best service I have had in my life, even relative to luxury chains such as the Four Seasons. We picked it because it was ranked #1 on T.A., and it did not disappoint. In additional to being a fantastic suite in a great, central location, the hotel provided many additional unexpected treats like a free mini bar stocked daily, plus a free private bar stocked with Pisco and Rum, take what you like. There were a number of other nice surprises as well.

The only room for improvement, in my opinion, is that a lot of the optional services or features, such as the restaurants, were very expensive. Given that we were there in the off season and had the place almost to ourselves, the hotel would have got more of our money by lowering prices slightly... There are many exceptional restaurants nearby that were half or less the price. The included breakfast was different, interesting, and of exceptional quality; their restaurant is good.

But this is a hotel review, not a restaurant price review. We really did not want to leave the hotel, ever. Book this place, then decide for yourself if the restaurant is too pricey and eat elsewhere... or call me a cheapskate and enjoy it.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of old Cusco

We have stayed in wonderful hotels around the world and the Belmond Palacio Nazarenas ranks with the best. We were travelling with our children and 11 month old grandson (7 of us) and the staff to a person were the friendliest and most helpful we have ever encountered. They were warm and knowledgeable and any requests were dealt with immediately and efficiently. We had suites which were spacious, spotless and modern. The hotel is well located in the centre of old Cusco and is an easy walk to many attractions. The food at the hotel was also excellent - fresh and delicious. The pool area is quiet and perfectly maintained. Easily among the finest hotels we have ever stayed in for an all round experience.

A World Apart

This is the most beautiful hotel. Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was catered for even a heated floor in the huge bathroom. Quality toiletries provided, free soft drinks, coffee and snack food along with Pisco sour ingredients. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful luxury hotel

I would highly recommend this hotel if you can afford to splurge, the staff are fantastic and so are the facilities. We stayed 3 nights on our way to machu pichu in late January and could not fault anything about this hotel, especially since they up graded us. We also ate at the hotel restaurant one night and the food was delicious and they very thoughtfully surprised us with a birthday dessert for my husband on the house.

Paradise in Cusco

Palacio Nazarenas was a breath of fresh air (literally, they oxygenate the rooms!) after our trip began with gruelling flight delays and cancellations. The staff were attentive and helpful, the setting is breathtaking and they were excellent at helping with any symptoms of altitude sickness. They are more than happy to go the extra mile (one of our personal butlers ran all over town just to get my watch battery changed, I had only asked where I could get it done, but he was happy to do it for me) and they have excellent recommendations for where to eat and what to see. Pampered fabulous service, and also more than willing to leave you alone if you just want to hang out at the outdoor pool (though they will serve you drinks poolside - water, tea, anything). They were also happy to arrange transport to and from the airport so no stress about finding a taxi. I emailed before we left and everything was taken care of. My only regret is that we weren't there longer!

Nicest hotel in Peru!

We loved this hotel. We stayed at only 5 star properties the entire trip to Peru, and this was a notch above all the others. The Hotel Monasterio, next door and another Orient Express property, was nice, but not as modernized as this one from an amenities standpoint. If you are on the fence with these two, service and food are outstanding at both hotels, but the rooms at Palacio Nazarenas are unquestionably a notch above. Location is perfect- best area in Cuzco, about 15-20 minutes from the airport.
