I always book same hotel when visiting Istanbul. Hotel is very convenient in terms of location. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious however we suffered from unavailability of internet connection on our floor (2nd).

Stay well away from this hotel. Firstly the parking is far away and not even sign posted where to go. Had to park in the car park next door.

Secondly the rooms have 2 pin plugs come on we are not in a third world country. I am glad only one night was spent here.

Room AC was not working. There is no Iron in the room and they provided one upon request with a broken cable. The lighting around the whole hotel is poor in communals and the rooms. It feels like you’re in prison.

Who has rated this hotel a 4 star it is no more than a 3 star hotel. There swimming pool is out of service and the small print is way below in the description who ever scrolls all the way down to read the info.

Furniture in the room is outdated and sofa bed is poor quality the room looks and feels so outdated. Carpets in the room are such bad quality and stained it’s like no one is looking after this place. The price for 1 night is an absolute joke. They are ripping tourists off specially if your from UK even outside of the hotel it’s the exact same.

STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL. It’s an absolute shame that my family and two young kids have had to experience this.

The beds are uncomfortable and we have had a poor night sleep. The hotel should refund me something back as this is totally unacceptable.

The staff are unapologetic and do not want to admit this hotel is no acceptable.

Clean and tidy room, staff pleasant and friendly. The breakfast wasn’t amazing - we only ate there once - Lots of places nearby to eat so we went out for breakfast. We didn’t use the spa facilities so can’t comment on that. Good comfortable nights sleep, a bit noisy with the main stretch of Taksim Square being so close. Lots of site seeing places close by so easy access to other places.

This was one of the worst hotel stay ever that I have been too! First of all my husband and I booked double room and when we arrive they made us pay 80 USD more for extra person! But we are only too and the room says on the website 2 persons.

Not to mentioned after paying all that money and we stayed for 4 nights they only give water at check-in…. You have to buy the extra water each night… what a rule ?

Alsoo most importantly ROOOMSSS ARE TOO DARK! Like it’s night all day. Very very limited lightening.

Please save money and book at nearby hotel there are bunch of good ones just few minutes away.

This place is a three star place. Don’t ever choose to have their breakfast. First of all, there serve it on the 8th floor and you have to take the stairs to go up. The elevator takes you only up to the 7th floor. The breakfast has a variety of rubbish. Nothing is of even average quality. We paid for breakfast but ended up eating outside. They have a fitness center but only with a basic treadmill and some useless equipment. The amenities that come with the high room rate are very poor. Their electricity went out every single night. My husband sleeps with a CPAP machine and woke up gasping for breath. Their Wi-Fi is useless and you can’t go on to any website. I used my T-Mobile to communicate. They have a so called lobby which they lock up and I had to seat my visitors in the hallway on chairs on either side of the corridor. What is really annoying is they have variable rates for their rooms. I saw a woman who was bargaining and ended up getting rooms for a cheaper price. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The only plus point is it’s location.

NOTHING BRILLIANT - BUT IT WAS NICE

This is a nice hotel in an excellent location directly opposite Taksim Square. Rooms and decor are somewhat dated. Even the gym was a little bit dated. The rooms aren't very big. They do not claim to be a 5-star hotel...and they're not. It is basic and simple yet clean. You are really paying for the location!

Needs a refurbishment.

Fantastic location on Taksim Square and a really really good gym but the hotel is so tired and dated. Stained bedding, shower rail coming off the wall. Really poor breakfast, no coffee machine just a large tin of Nescafe and hot water!!! Although the breakfast room has fantastic views over the Bosphorus.

Do not book this property! It would be my recommendation to Expedia to remove this hotel from there listing.
Firstly, there is a big language barrier, no one speaks or understands English.
The room itself has things that do not work or broken. During our stay we had the bulbs burn out and no one from the hotel came to replace it. The took the entire fixture and never returned. We ended up staying in complete darkness. The rooms do not have air conditioning, heat or any fan. You only have a window which brings in all cigarette smoke in.
This hotel claims to provide wifi, but you get zero connection in your room. If you need to use the wifi you have to go the lobby. When you get to the lobby, people are sitting there like it’s a party. They move the chairs, are drinking tea, eating and no one from the hotel says anything.
Additionally, there is a night club that runs inside within the hotel on the rooftop. The hotel has there own folks bringing in people for clubs. There is loud music and noises until at least 2 am each and every night.
There is a huge issue with smoking. Although the booking says non-smoking, the rooms are given ashtrays and matches and seep of strong smoke odour. Even in the lobby, the staff included light up cigarettes right there with there own friends.
Absolutely disgusting and a huge disappointment with this hotel.
Please do not book this at all. You are better off to book some where you are valued as a guest and get proper amenities.

the overall experience was bad , to start the mattresses are solid as rocks we couldn't sleep all nights and we got bruises, music from the hotel itself is too loud that went all night , and the best part was the 14$ breakfast a day \"buffet\" on the 8th floor a pre-prepared plate of few cheese types and vegetables. the front man with a pony tail was rude and did not take our complaints into matters.
we did not enjoy our stay and we do not recommend this hotel to anyone !

They gave me a room in the same floor as the restaurant that they have parties in, turns out that people who stays at the hotel do thier own parties there as well, the heating system had something broken and made noises, and when I closed it the room still remined hot for a long time that I had to open the window, thw noise from the street did not bother me since noises from the hotel were much worse.

Everything we saw on pictures didn't exist in reality. Reception was dim and very small. Room was smelly and there was a leak. Staff are very rude. Air conditioning was not working properly. The swimming pool was shocking as it was very small compared to the pictures, dirty, the second pool and the jacuzzi were closed. The breakfast area looks like a factory canteen.

Nice view from balcony you can see the left side of taxim square..clean room great location 2 mins walk for the metro station and 2 mins walk to istiklal caddesi heater working properly the toilet is good..they provide a bottle of water complementary just for the first day...staff should be more welcoming and knowledgeable about touristic areas and more helpful...
We reserved for a day tour to bukada island a day before...next day we wanted a refund since the weather was not good at all and raining all day...they didnt give us an answer and told us the person comes at 3pm and she is the only one who can help us so we had to go although it was raining alot but we didn't have any other choice...instead the staff has to be enpowered to make such decisions in cases like this...the customer should not wait for one person to come afternoon to have an answer for a tour.

Don't be fooled by the location, the rooms are horribly dirty, you will find insects inside as well as food residues . In addition the hotel is adjacent to two construction sites which make it really noisy. When you try to ask for anything from the staff you will get rude answers as if you're in a prison and they are making you a favor for hosting you. Barely they put soap in the toilet and the toilet smell like public toilet. I usually get impressed by Turkish hotels and their cleanliness but this one is a no no. Terrible experience. I booked online and entered that we had a family of 5 people. Upon arriving room was only set up for 4.
They mentioned that they don't provide a bed as one of my kids was only 11, and if I wanted a bed it would cost an extra 10Euro. They told me this information is in the contract? It is not the extra amount but rather the fact that this information is not easy to see. I agreed to the extra bed and they say would bring it. We came back from dinner and no extra bed, I went to reception and they say its too late and that there are no beds until next day anyway. Also there pool was not in operation and I asked maybe they should give discount but they did not care not even apologise. I did tell them that I would share my bad experience on the internet, but again they did not care.
I go to Turkey every year and would not recommend this hotel in Taksim, there is a lot more choice and the staff is not very good with service. They did not care and were not helpful, not a nice stay in Istanbul.
I definitely feel like they did not care for me and my family and would recommend this hotel.

It was ok.

The location is great but I don't think it's worth the amount of money. Some of the staff were stuck up and it was always dark- poor lighting. Not a lot of facilities but I wouldn't say that I hated it. Definitely a great location as it is really close to local transport and Taksim square as well as Istiklal street.

when we first got there we were thinking how amazing this hotel is. the location is amazing and the staff were friendly. we stayed there for 3 nights and it was quite pleasurable. when we left we forgot our phone charger in the power outlet next to the bed, which i was charging my phone there for 3 nights so i'm pretty sure it was there.

I was already at the airport and i needed the charger coz my battery was dying i found it was forgotten at the hotel. called them immediately and the response was don't worry u can call the housekeeping tomorrow at 8 am and ask for it. ( my friend is going to istanbul again next week so i figured they can keep it and he can pick it up for me since he is staying near the hotel )

called next day the receptionist was talking with a tone, as if he was not happy with my request. he said call back in 5 min ill ask the housekeeping manager. i called back and the charger was gone. i asked if the room got vacant since i left it they said that nobody stayed in it yet. so basically housekeeping stole it thinking that i have no longer access to istanbil so what the heck 2 free original chargers.

i asked the reception to double check. the guy got mad and replied do you think i lie? i said im not saying that i just need u to make sure. he then hang up the line on me.

On the other hand. the water is a major problem. because once u set it it goes cold all of a sudden then to super hot to a point it burns you.

So disappointed coz i expected much more.

NO WIFI.

They say they have WIFI but it works only in the Lobby. You talk to the staff and they tell you it works in the roomsbut you have to reconnect every hour. This is not true. The WIFI does not work in the rooms. And all the guests were complaining about this. I had work to do and had to sit in the lobby all the type and it was very crowded. Very disappointing.
The whole area is noisy but I expected that when I booked. But no internet for 4 days is too much.

Overall the location of the hotel is good - in the very center of Istanbul, easy to get to/from the airport.
For a four star hotel though they fall short in providing the cleanness and comfort. It was impossible to have the showers work properly - the water was either burning hot, or ice cold. All our group had the same experience, so it was not just one room issue.

It is a very nice hotel overall. Fantastic location - 100 m. to Taksim - good for shopping and dinner. Clean room, very friendly atmosphere. We arrived a bit earlier at 1 p.m. but it was no problem at all. Our group ( 12 people) ordered transfere to airport and paid at the desk and next morning driver was waiting for us on time. It takes just 40 min. to get international airport Ataturk. Also breakfast was very nice.
I definitely recommend this hotel for all tourists.

The location was great. It was just down the famous \"TAKSIM\" Square with metro access and all the facilities.

The lobby was small but the room had enough space for my family.
The breakfast was ok .
The reception guys during the day were so helpful.( Specially \"Sooleyman\")
But the reception guy and security after 12:00PM did not behave well.
One night around 1:00AM I had a can of beer in my hand and I was drinking in the lobby . I did not know it was forbidden to drink alcohol in the lobby.
But the security guy told me to go away with a bad attitude like I was a thief or criminal .I talked to the manager the day after and he promised to take care of this matter for the future.
Anyway I was happy with this hotel.

Location is 5 min from Taxim metro and 2 min from Istiklal street where you will find all the shops and restaurants.
Nice selection for breakfast, variety of cheeses, a selection of cold meat, cereals, fruit tea and coffee.
Rooms are a reasonable size, we had a side view of the Bosphorus sea on the 7th floor.
Reception staff spoke English and were very helpful and friendly.
A complaint is the noise at night from the traffic down below so request a room at the rear and the air con in the rooms were very hot and stuffy which made it uncomfortable to sleep.
The showers are the best I have experienced super powerful!!
Overall a nice pleasant experience for a 7 night stay at the Inn pera Istanbul.
