Overall the stay was okayish, for this money I don’t think it was worth it, considering the next days I stayed at other places, which were not only better but reasonable too. The room size is small, there is hardly any place to put your luggage without bumping into things, the location is perfect, just at the taksim square. However, in the same price or even cheaper, there are plenty of other options. The amenities are also limited, so basically its a 3 star hotel in the price of a 5 star just because of the location. Would definitely not stay here or recommend other travelers to. Not worth the price they charge.

In the heart of Istanbul

We had a lovely stay at CVK Taksim. The hotel was perfectly located, offering easy access to the vibrant heart of Istanbul. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, making check-in smooth and assisting with all our needs. We had requested rooms next to one another, and they did their best to accommodate our request, which made our family trip more comfortable.

The rooms were clean, modern, and well-equipped, with a beautiful view and thoughtful amenities. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and the service we received.

All in all, it was a great experience and we would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

This is my 3rd time in CVK Taksim, and I'll keep staying in this hotel everytime I visit Istanbul. Everything is perfect, clean rooms, nice view, delicious breakfast, kind staff (Burak from reception).

Great hotel in Taksim Square

CVK Taksim Hotel is right in the centre of Taksim Square, great location. We went in a hot July season. The hotel is in great condition, room was modern and clean, air conditioning was great. Daily cleaning was great. Metro and bus stops are all nearby and walking distance.

Location is great. However staff needed to be trained to accommodate foreign visitors better. They don’t use “Please” when you suppose to follow direction. Odd. But a bit cultural shock! I’ve felt due to language barrier they do have an unfriendly tone of voice and get upset so quick. They offer luxury transportation from Airport to the hotel for 80 Euros that you can go with taxi at 1/4 of the price while there is no luxury service associated with it. The car just a big van with fancy lighting. The driver even don’t help you to take your stuff to the entry of the airport. They just drop you off and give your luggage and bye bye. I felt its a rip off. Staff are friendly. Location was great. Breakfast ok but nothing special. Location is the key.

The area is bit noisy outside which is understandable as it is within Taksim square. The hotel cleaning staff can be loud in the morning while working or knocking on doors requesting for room service. They have cleaning services until 4pm which is inconvenient, the rooms are also beyond small. We experienced a strange rotten egg smell after turning on the AC. The electricity also turned off twice for a couple of seconds which was odd to us. Not to mention when we initially checked in, we were told to wait approximately 2 hours. Expect a deposit on top of what u have paid for your stay in our case it was $200.

Hotel is located smack in the middle of Taxim square, conveniently located by lots of commercial stores and eateries.
Breakfast was very good although at an extra charge.
Regular rooms extremely small, so I asked for a bigger room; I was given a suite which was at an extra charge.
Most employees speak English and are very cordial.rooms were modern and clean.
Spa downstairs was a disappointment; it’s leased out to people that are not professional and do not speak English.the hotel lobby charges one rate and the spa itself has other rates.spa personal trying to get away by charging more…
I would pass on that.
But overall, pleasant stay!

The stay at this hotel was one of my worst experiences ever.
1. the hotel is not stroller accessible there is no ramp at the entrance
2. The room is beyond small once they put the crib there was literally no place to walk and when I went to the reception and asked if we can have a bigger room they said u need to pay 175€ extra per night
3. Almost all plugs were broken and that caused a safety hazard for someone coming on a family vacation
4. The rooms are not sound proof as claimed since we were hearing everything from the room next door and even if they bang against the wall i could feel the wall moving
5. On day one the water bottle served was open
6. On day 2 they put shampoo for 1
7. There was a broken mirror which ia another safety hazard
8. Most of the furniture was burnt with cigarettes although the hotel is smoke free
After stating all those facts this hotel star rating should be revised because this hotel maximum deserves to be a 2* hotel

Arrived very late, around midnight. The guy in the reception was not nice at all. Location is terrible. Very noisy and doesn't help even if you close the window. The location is also bad as it's in front of the square, doesn't feel safe, lots of suspicious people. Hotel is old and inside the room you see it. Bath needs urgent makeover. Sometimes no hot water as well. Very hard mattress.

This property is trash! Only nice thing was the terrace which is why I got the room. I had a huge balcony with terrace over taksim. Other then that the room was filthy, they tried covering it with little things. Phone didn’t work, I got yelled at for late checkout lol. Felt like a child. It was a bad option unfortunately. Everything is bad about this hotel except the location and that’s only if you care to stay in taksim area.
Very dirty the bed had all hair. Have a look under the bed and you will find the worst leftovers.
No one to help you out with suitcases and high steps to carry your belongings.
You can hear noises outside your room very loud. They don’t refill your shampoo and body wash the next day. The coffee cups where left the same untouched. We requested for something and as I open the door the person just walked in without asking me for permission and I had my family inside the room. He didn’t even speak English which he couldn’t understand me saying wait wait.
I think the management of the hotel is not putting any effort to improve anything specially the service as it’s busy anyways because of the location.

Excellent location and rooms. The only issue we had with our stay was the bosphorous cruise they recommended and booked for us. I wish they told us the seating was communal and non private so we could have made other arrangements. When we got to the cruise the staff were not helpful and charged us extra money to sit privately. We then found out that we got scammed by the staff because other people did not have to pay extra for private seating. I wish they recommended a better cruise company. But apart from that the location is soooo excellent. We had an issue with the first room we checked into since there were twin beds instead of a queen bed but they were able to promptly offer us a change of rooms.

Terrible service

Hotel is nice but a bit too noisy since its situated in taksim. I was very dissatisfied with the manager of the breakfast room, Muhamet, he had a very bad attitude. Refused us to take two apples out of the breakfast room for my aunty which was not feeling well. We also went to the terrace for lunch he does not greet, very unfriendly. The reason i will not go back to cvk taksim or recommend it to others is
because of his service.

It deserves a max 3 star evaluation. I reserved a suite with a view they gave me worst room ever barely can walk in suite. Super over priced. Do not recomend suite for anyone. Cannot say anything about regular rooms. Bad lobby rude receptionists.

The receptionist and management were very rude and disregarded any issues we had, whilst also speaking over us when we had an issue or lying to us when our clothes from our room went missing. Also refused to let us put our bags in our room while we exchanged down money to pay for our stay even though we had already paid for one night online, so we were forced to take all our luggage with us whilst looking for a exchange place. The room was dirty when we arrived and the light was not working properly.

The room was very dimly lit and the bathroom, table and the hot tub in the room I booked had stains.

Breakfast was basic and no choice to toast the bread. Not many drink options other than one type of juice and water. The breakfast staff were friendly though.

The lobby was very bland, no liveliness and the supposed patisserie counter was completely empty without any staff or items for the whole time I stayed which was 5 nights.

Room service menu also very basic.

Overall was disappointed with my stay especially considering how much I paid for my room. Other than the location being good, I would not recommend this hotel and would not be staying here again.

Warning to not stay here

The deluxe room was not deluxe, far from deluxe. The king bed is two single beds stuck together, you can feel the middle of the bed,it's not worth the price and the customer service is non existence we asked for a non smoking room we got a smoking room I couldn't sleep spent all night being breathless and I'm pregnant so it didn't help the situation. I've attached pictures of the bathroom vile

Not recommend to stay in the hotel due to service from the staff and the manager Ms. Gizem Guner.
I tried to meet her or talk to her by phone but she refused to meet or talk to me and due to that i lost one night in the hotel and they deducted from my credit card without my permission.
