The front desk staff was rude. The advertisements did not mention that this place is connected to a dispensary and that the entire place would smell like weed the entire time. I did not realize it wouldn’t be a good place for families when I booked. The room was dirty, beds were uncomfortable, and the common areas were filthy. We went to the indoor pool and it was cloudy, had a blank ring of filth around it, and there were people there smoking weed. We had a four year old with us! We ended up not even staying the night. Four hours after checking in, we check out and left. Didn’t get any of our money back, obviously. But it was worth it to us to get out of there. NOT family friendly, NOT clean, and NOT worth it.

The view was terrible only could see construction. The only window was over the hot tub. Had climb in just to close to have privacy. The bathroom was way too small. You can open and close the shower while sitting on the toilet. Sink in the bedroom area was rusted. The parking was way too expensive. $25 per night!! Not upscale enough for that price. Best part was it quiet for the most part and clean.

Staff was terrible the gentlemen that helped me at the reception he was ok his cell constantly did not make eye contact he was constantly texting will not answer any of my question. Rooms are outdated. We wont be staying here again.

My favorite part was the pool! The water was very warm and they had floaties for kids to use. Overall, the hotel was a bit outdated and the rooms a bit small, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay there again. It’s great value for the price.

My husband and I had a reservation on February 15th.. i requested an early check in i was told if the room was available we could check in. We arrived at 3 and we were told the room wasnt ready and to come back at 4pm. We went back at 4 and the room still wasnt ready. We waited 3 hours to check in. The associates had no customer service they were rude. The phone in the room didnt work either. We were very disappointed.

Beautiful vintage hotel located at central Boardwalk. All weather connector to Bally’s Casino. Lovely entryway and gathering areas.
Indoor pool— that was nice and warm even for adults! And they have adult swim from 8 to 10 PM every night! You might have to call security to get the kids out, but it was very relaxing!
The elevators were slow, but the staff more than made up for it… Very friendly and easy to talk to!

Safe didn’t work. Toilets require multiple flushes. Needs update. Cleanliness was average (dusty behind doors and corners). Beds were ok. Tv worked. Had hot water. Pool was nice and warm. Not sure all elevators worked, so at peak times (check in and check out) there were long waits. Location is nice. Was quiet up on the 15th floor despite being by elevator.

First i wastoldto come back at 2:30pm my room would be done,came back it wasnt ready. So i lrft came back at 5pm still my room not ready my room with ocean view. So was given another room went to the room ,the room was not ready bed sheets onthe floor on chairs the pillow on another chair bathroom disgusting Terrible service.

One of the worst stays I had at a hotel the air-conditioning and heat did not work in my room moved me to another room, which the heating and air-conditioning did work, but only works when there’s movement in the room. You have to move around the room for it to work if there’s no movement, it automatically shuts off
The iron didn’t work they never replaced it. I requested extra tiles which I never received.

It's okay. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the room we had we did not like. The view of the ocean was great, but the room itself was so empty. They need more furniture and pictures on the wall, there was an echo from how empty it was. The walls are also thin, so you can hear other people's tv's and people talking in the hallway and other rooms. The staff were very nice, it was very easy to get to Bally's and having the store right downstairs was convenient. It also didn't have that normal hotel musty smell, it was very clean. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Not at all impressed by the lack of friendliness of staff. Even less impressed with conditions of hotel. While I do understand that it is an older hotel that does not excuse the lack of cleanliness and care for things that could be much better maintained. Very reasonable on price but in my opinion still not worth it for I have stayed in much better cared for establishments in the same price range. Do not recommend.

We stayed at your hotel on Saturday, February 7th and checked out on Sunday, February 8th. Upon entering our room the room was cold and was 62 degrees. We turned the heat up to 70 and went out for the night. When we returned around midnight the room was still only 62 degrees and we again attempted to turn the heat up. Though out the night we tried several times to turn the heat on and it would not turn on, only cold air came out. We called the front desk around 8am to let them know and told them we would be leaving since we had been so cold all night. They told us there was nothing they could do. We even tried to talk to someone at the front desk when we were leaving because we were unable to stay due to the room being too cold. Considering the outside temperatures in Nj are currently in the single digits we were looking forward to returning to a warm room. We stayed in room 801, and if this is not make right we will never return to this property.

The room was OK but the lighting is horrible. Our TV didn’t work and when I called to the front desk, they just said you’re not responsible for it didn’t offer to bring a new one or try and remedy the situation. There was maybe one or two elevators working and there was some kind of billiard tournament and the elevators were filled and it was a mess. I’d rather spend the extra hundred dollars or more and stay at one of the casinos in area.

Room was clean. Front desk person seemed bothered when we checked in like we were bothering him. We were able to check in early which was nice. We stayed 2 nights. We placed dirty towels and washcloths on the floor and we did not receive replacements. Elevators were terrible. There was a pool
Tournament and an indoor auto race the weekend we stayed so it was busy but it seemed like only 2 of the elevators were working. Several times we rode down to
go up or up to go down to avoid waiting for the elevator only for the doors to open to a packed elevator with no room. Overall the room was ok but the service could have been better.

The front desk staff was very nice. However the elevators were not working during our stay. We had a room on the 16th floor and had to take the stairs both ways for 2 days. That was pretty brutal. The room was neat but very tired and in need of updating. The parking garage was an ice slick on the 9 level and was not salted. It was extremely slick and dangerous to walk and drive on. We definitely wouldn’t pay to stay here again unfortunately.

The hotel itself is very pretty but our experience met no standards! This is everything my sig other and I noticed about our stay at the Claridge. When we arrived, the parking was confusing, there’s a large sign that says turn here for Claridge self parking, we turned and there was no where to go so we had to turn around and I found the front desk to ask where we park, there are 2 streets, where the sign is- that’s not the correct street, it’s down a block. When we got to the room (King Whirlpool room 2050) first during the entire duration of our stay- one of the elevators were always out of use and broken. Anyway when we got to the room, we initially thought it was very nice but then we started looking around… there was a broken, fake, press on nail in our shower, white stains on our black, decorative, bed spread (I truly don’t want to believe what we both thought it was!). There was MOLD in our fridge and when we opened it, it absolutely reeked! It was so bad it made both of us nauseous! And I'm not just talking about the white or green fuzzy stuff.. no I’m talking layered BLACK MOLD. 100% health hazard and huge liability!! Half of the outlets in our room did not work. The lock on our door was broken so we only could rely on the keycard lock and the one screwed into the wall. Housekeeping never came the entire duration of our stay which we both thought was extremely odd. List goes on but im almost out of characters. Overall- we would NOT STAY again by any means!!!

The Claridge hotel is a historic hotel with an old timey feel. If you want modern, this isn't your place. The furniture and rooms do show signs of wear and tear but we loved the decor. Bed was comfortable. We had an issue with our whirlpool and staff took care of us, Teresa at the front desk showed exceptional customer service! They also have a 20's themed Italian restaurant. Nice indoor pool. The best bartenders at their rooftop bar, the Vue. They have a cannabis lounge that you can access on the opposite side of the building. Best of all, you literally take the elevator to the 2nd floor and walk straight into Bally's casino! Boardwalk is right there too. I will be staying here again.

The hotel had no heat or at least it didn’t feel like it. The rooms are very small with no real light inside. The room has an energy saving thermostat that turns down to 64’ when there is no movement in the room which is bad when it’s already freezing in the hotel. Stay away from the Italian restaurant it was also freezing with Terri’s le food from my kids chicken tenders over cooked to very hard chicken breast to eat. The pasta sauce felt like they just opened a can of tomatoes and dumped it in top. The pool was nice and warm the arcade is fine.

Check in Very Slow, stood on line a half hour. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The safe in the room needed batteries. Maintenance first came with no batteries, then returned, changed the batteries and left the old batteries on the floor near the safe. Then locked the safe with a code without telling us the code all while we were sitting in the room.
