Room was cold and smelt of cigarettes.bathroom was old and rusty and shower was broke.and constantly dripped meaning I couldn’t sleep.bed was ok but smelt and lights were terrible .balcony view looked at a wall and was less than 12 inch’s wide so .nope.pictures are not what this hotel looks like .and the area is awful.

Excellent hotel

I booked Diros Hotel for my 5 nights stay in Greece and I have to say that is one of the best hotels I have ever been to.
Excellent customer service, the receptionist I did the check out with was friendly and smiling all the time. Quite a warm welcome and so as the other receptionist. 5 star customer service.
The room was also nice, a comfortable bed with a modest bathroom, I really enjoyed the views that I got from my balcony, although I would suggest the hotel to replace he balcony table as it is a bit old, other than that, it's perfect.
In terms of location, the hotel is close to Omonia and is well linked to most of the interest places such as :monuments, museums, restaurants etc.
I will definitely recommend this hotel as they did treat me very good. Thanks Diros Hotel and thanks Greece. 😍😍🇬🇷🇬🇷

Did not care for shower! Clean but holding my arm above my head to rinse myself off is ridiculous. Its 5 minute walk they from the metro train and bus is across the street. But 15 minutes walk to center of Athen where there are tons of food and roof top bars

The room size was perfect, however, both air conditioning unit and fridge didn't work. The bathroom is a joke! Small space with sink, toilet and a tiny square base with an overly long curtain. Faucet is affixed a couple feet above ground and is meant for a tub. Had to tie the shower head with a string to the curtain railing. Water gets all over the floor. No wonder there's a floor drain and the floor slopes just a little. Pity the bathroom is in such a state, as location is optimal. Walked to all the attractions.

The staff were very helpful and the rooms were small but very clean. There was graffiti on the adjacent buildings, but we took an uber to the hotel at night rather than walk. However, I felt safe in the hotel. We stayed two nights and it was a good choice.

Decent hotel very close to Omonia Station Metro and also close to Acropolis. Got a nice 7th floor room. Room was clean and spotless with AC and a balcony. Bathroom could definitely do with modernisation but at the price point I thought it was a nice hotel. Would 100% stay again

The hotel itself is very nice. The staff is superb and very responsive. There is no available parking right at the property. We did get a small Fiat 500, and was able to park at the hotel front when the business next to it was closed at night. There is parking near the hotel with a 2 minute walk. That is where some of the drug addicts hang out. But surprisingly, they left us alone. Panos, Mikey, Mary and Dimitra are awesome at their jobs. Very friendly staff. Very helpful. The room was clean. Plus when we asked for housekeeping to clean, bring fresh towels. They even fixed up our beds. The shower was small. Plus there was no actual shower head. It was hand held. There were no funny smells. Places to eat were nearby. Souvenir shops were near too. The Metro station was nearby as well. Oskarini on the square was a good gyro place. The owner Adem is a funny guy. Attiki bakery at the square had pastries to die for. Watch out for pick pockets on the train. These are out of towners that prey on tourists. But all in all Diros Hotel 🏨 was good to us. We will be back, because the staff was nice. We will also tell others to go there and stay. The elevator also talks in English and Greek. Ektos Osorofos… sixth floor 😁

Acceptable hotel in the diminishing area of Omonia

This hotel is typical of many in this category i.e. for a few nights where you will spend a lot of time out of the room it is acceptable in terms of being able to sleep, the view from the balcony, etc. The decorations and bathroom look a little 'tired' and as with most city hotel staff they are fairly neutral and business-like and unlike holiday island hotel staff.

While not personally all that bothered this area at night could be a challenge to certain travellers as it increasingly populated by groups of idle males on street corners, street vendors (probably unlicensed) many of who, are clearly not Greek and graffiti everywhere at head height; and yet there is always one building or park area to cheer you up.

GOOD HOTEL FOR THE MONEY

For the money, I rate it very good. Good location (safe, clean and quiet, but a little far from the main sites. Metro station a block away), the view from our room was not very good (a wall). The actual room was great and so was the AC. The only thing this hotel needs to change is the shower, you had to hold the shower head on one hand to shower, very uncomfortable and a total surprise, very annoying. Very good WIFI.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

1. Firstly, I had my laptop stolen right in front of the reception desk while there was an attendent while I was at lunch. He was totally incompetent and seemingly uninterested in helping me. I had to ask him to look at the security camera to see who had taken it. He couldn't seem to be bothered to follow up with his boss either.
2. This is a very bad area of town. There are homeless people and beggars right outside the hotel door. So, I assume it was one of these who just walked in and took my laptop bag under the noise of the attendant who was busy play on his laptop.
3. Surprisingly, the hotel was clean and the room was in great condition.
4. So, buyer beware. You get what you pay for. I would have been better off spending an extra $100 for a room a few blocks away in a better area with actual security.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

First stay good, second stay left disappointed

Second stay here, and was left disappointed,
They were unable to assist on a couple of requests and found the staff disinterested in helping.
There were a couple of issues with the room that still weren't fixed by the end of my stay.
The location is perfect to jump on metro, and the second stay room substantially smaller and noisier.
In short - first stay good, second stay disappointing.

It was the worse experience ever. after I stayed at this hotel, I got itchy the next day and started red. I didn't know until I got back home. My back, shoulder, neck got more itchy. I went to see the doctor and those red spots are from bed bugs bites!!! The hotel seems not that dirty. My room was 604. now I'm so depressed and stressed because I have to clean my whole house.

Having read some negative reviews, I was a bit anxious about what I would find - but the room was much better than expected! Clean, well-appointed, great mattress, good towels/room service plenty of heat, great wifi and small veranda. Property overall well-maintained. Not so hot is the neighborhood, might seem too scruffy if you don't do your homework. On a main street about 100 meters from Metro and near a number of good restaurants. Very convenient and very good value...I'll be back!!!

Nice hotel near the center of Athens

The hotel looks recently refurbished and it's in very good condition.
The location is very good, near omonia square, where you can find many places to eat, the bazaar supermarket, the station, in a walk distance from the acropolis.
The staff is very friendly, the room is comfortable and cleaned every day.
The wifi is working good, but in the side of the room towards the window the signal is poor and sometimes the connection drop.
Overall, the rating is more than positive, and I recommend the hotel.

Friendly staff, clean, good room for price. AC didn't work, which we ignored in late September. Cistern required fiddling inside to get it to fill. Breakfast was very minimal - watery orange juice, Nescafe, bread butter and cheap jam. Immediate neighbourhood run down, but short walk to nice areas.

Rather lousy hotel. Wifi not working in room. Furniture stained by sigarette burns all over.Aircon leaking in the room causing wet floor, which you find out just after having put socks on. Lift under repair as I checked out, that is why it never came.... Only reason to stay is central location and price.I will look for something else Next time!

Par contre la chambre etait minuscule (juste la place des lits dont 1 lit pour 2 tout petit et 2 lits simples) et aucune isolation. On entendait la route comme si la fenêtre était ouverte et notre chambre était collée à la salle du petit déjeuner. Correct mais je n'y retournerai pas.

É próximo ao metrô, comércio, restaurantes, etc.
O serviço é excelente sendo os funcionários muito cordiais e atenciosos.
O limpeza dos quartos também é muito bem feita.

2回に分けて計3泊しました。24時間チェックインがありがたかったです。部屋までノンステップで行けます。部屋は広めです。シャワーの水圧オッケー。ところどころ壊れていますが生活できます。ただ、シャワーカーテンでない部屋のシャワーの扉が片方なくて水が飛び散るので大変でした。言えば部屋を交換してもらえたかもしれませんが、荷物を広げたあとだったのでやめました。

Отель немного потрепанный. Мы были 3 ночи. Все время бегали по экскурсиям, в номере не сидели. Правда в ванной был обнаружен таракан (Из номера был выдворен). Персонал вежливый, очень гостеприимный. Отель находится очень выгодно, 300 м от метро Оммония. Рядом с метро вкусная булочная- кондитерская. Кофе, выпечка и бутерброды очень вкусные. Греки почти не пьют чай и удивляются, когда горячий чай заказывают, так что объясняйте точнее. В Афинах о русских позаботились и в тикетматах можно выбрать русскоязычное меню. Если будете много ездить покупайте билет на 24 часа. Очень выгодно. Вкусно и за адекватные деньги можно поесть на станциях метро Минастирики и Акрополис.

Não tivemos problemas mas fomos informados por diversos habitantes locais que o entorno não é seguro, principalmente no início da noite. O Wi-Fi funcionou com alguns problemas. O quarto é estreito, o banheiro é pequeno e o box é super estreito chegando a dificultar o banho. A porta de entrada do banheiro é enorme e atrapalha a circulação dentro do banheiro. O suporte do chuveiro estava quebrado na parede, e por isso era necessário ficar segurando a ducha durante todo o banho. Solicitei que consertassem o suporte do chuveiro ou que me trocassem de quarto mas a explicação que recebi é que todos os quartos apresentam o mesmo tipo de chuveiro. Achei muito estranho porque parte do suporte estava quebrado na parede. Os funcionários são gentis. Analisando custo beneficio, acho que valeu.

Hyvä sijainti edulliseen hintaan. Siivooja kävi joka päivä ja respa oli auki 24/7 Korvatulpat kannattaa ottaa mukaan, koska kova liikenne aivan vieressä.

Hotel situato in ottima posizione, in centro e vicinissimo a molti luoghi di attrazione. L’hotel è perfetto per un buon comfort, personale gentile, mi sono trovata molto bene. Lo sceglierò sicuramente di nuovo quando tornerò ad Atene.
