The hotel was good overall. I stayed on the first floor and from here you could hear noise from the street - those hoping for a quiet night should probably ask to stay on a higher floor.

I liked every thing about this property great location walking distance to shopping and cafes and restaurants. The room was very clean and had a king size comfortable bed and had a balcony with a nice view. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located near a metro. For families this is a budget friendly hotel. The breakfast buffet was the highlight of the stay, we get to try things we wouldn’t normally get. The elevator was interesting, only 3 people maximum. The AC was a bit hot for us, the room looks outdated.

The property was located a short walk from Omonioa Square which is where the trains and buses are. Taxi service easy to find or the Concierge was happy to make any reservations for you. The friendly staff was 24/7 with a security officer who greeted you at the building. The hotel had a great breakfast buffet in the morning, so many hot and cold choices, sweets and many fresh juices! The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but functional. The roof top bar offered a nice indoor or outdoor dining/bar option with a really nice view of the Acropolis!! I would stay here again.

Great location at a reasonable price!

We stayed here for a weekend trip (family with 2 adults / 2 kids). Location was close enough to walk to Acropolis and other sites (there is a metro station nearby but we preferred to walk). Breakfast was also delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. We could leave our bags after checkout until the flight time which was helpful. Hotel was going through renovation in some floors, with some noise early in the morning, but we just noted after waking up.
Price was reasonable considering a room for 4.
We only used the hotel to sleep, so can't comment on other items.

Overall, great hotel, would certainly stay again.

Rooms are rather maximum 2 stars, definetly not 4.
During winter, only A/C may be used for heating.
No hair dryer, bathroom has no heat, smelled bad, room was an apartment probably with a locked door between 2 rooms, so you could hear everything from the oher room, no balcony, NO OUTSIDE VIEW, fake window, small room with no amenities. Looks nothing like the photos posted by the hotel. Maximum 2 stars, would NOT recommend.

I did notice a couple of homeless people around the property but I never felt unsafe. I don’t believe any hotel in the area is able to do anything about this social problem. The employees and management of Polis were extremely helpful and accommodating. Their hospitality and warmth was evident. They all care about the quality of service delivered. They all do take their work seriously. The food at Polis is amazing!! Us Greeks know how to cook. Thank you Polis for your professionalism and patients. I will consider your property again for my future travels to my homeland. BLESS…

Many reviews talk about Omonoia Square being dangerous, specially at night. The hotel is well located, close to public transportation and walkable to the main landmarks in athens. However, since it’s a very central location in the city it shows more than other areas. I Uber/taxi at night as needed and I did not witness any issue. I did not feel unsafe at any time and the staff was amazing. Breakfast was also good. The room/bathroom was dated, but well maintained.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Room was on the small side but that was to be expected. Room was clean and staff were very nice. Breakfasts were terrific and the rooftop restaurant was also really good with great views and good service. Area around the hotel seemed fine. We didn’t really get off the main roads especially at night but we never felt unsafe. I’m sure there are nicer areas to stay in Athens but this sufficed just fine.

Never a 4* hotel. Rooms are very dated and desperately in need of renovation. Location is good and most tourist sites can be easily reached on foot.
A word of warning though, there are a lot of homeless in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, wouldn’t normally be an issue for me but some literally going to “the toilet” in full view on a busy street in front of children.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay wit the Polis Grand Hotel prior to embarking on our cruise. The staff was very helpful and responsive to emails as we were planning our trip. The rooms were immaculate and the included breakfast was amazing. The only negative was the street noise (we like to sleep with the window slightly open.) We definitely would recommend this hotel.

The best part of my trip was the staff at this hotel. They welcomed us warmly and treated us as friends. I will return to this same hotel the next time we fly to athens. The front desk staff, the restaurant employees and especially the bartender and the servers was Excellent. They made us feel like we we at home!

Location was within sight of the Acropolis of Athens. It was a long walk to the Acropolis but for the price it is excellent. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was amazing. My only 2 issues was the shower is too small and the convenient roof top restaurant prices were a little higher than the other restaurants in the area. I would recommend this hotel.

All was fine. the diner at the roof nice but it takes about one hour to get our food.
The only and big problem in this hotel = the bathroom. the place of the toilet is so so so small.
The location is good 3 min from Omonia metro station.

Room was perfect for one night in Athens. Front desk staff was friendly. Triple room was perfect for three sleepy travelers from the states. Comfy beds, nice shower, and a welcome drink! Rooftop bar was amazing with a killer view. Location was central to all tourist spots. A little bit seedy walk towards the acropolis, but hey, what can you expect from a huge city? I will definitely stay again.

Hotel ripped me off. Refused to refund my hotel money that was canceled due to COVID 19. No fault of my own. no way to get to hotel when everything was canceled. All airlines where not flying. would have had to swim to get to Greece. Have emailed and get no response. say they have a no refund policy. Everyone one else that I used for this trip had a no refund policy a yet all of them refunded my money due to this being a pandemic and not my fault for not showing up. Avoid this hotel which is full of crooks. No honor at all. Also think Expedia ripped my off. this is one of their preferred hotels but they also refused to help get my money back. I saved a long time for this trip only to be ripped off by this hotel and Expedia. You would think a gold member would get better service. I spend a lot of money with them only to get ripped off. Will have to find a new travel site to use and also this is not a 5* hotel when they don't have the courtesy to refund your money due to this pandemic. want to give me a 12 month voucher. It's 8 months into this voucher and no end in site. Crooks who refuse to respond to my emails requesting a refund my money. All other hotels I booked in Greece had no problem refunding my money even though they had a no refund policy. No this place. Got to keep my money knowing I'll never get to us this credit. Really disappointing that they did this to me. Took a lot of money from me. Really sad service. Avoid this place. No customer service and no honor.

Surprisingly quiet night's sleep considering the hotel is on a busy road. Request room to the side !
Clean and convenient if only staying short-term (hotel is very close to Omonia metro station, which has direct links to Piraeus (Green line)
Area isn't great; polluted and quiet at night. 20min walk to Plaka. Exarchion is a cool area, though (think hipster/student vibe)

The hotel is justifiably rated 4-star (out of five). It's conveniently located for tourism (the great Anthropological Museum is 500 meters up the road, for example), it's very well maintained, has a friendly and helpful staff, and serves a delicious breakfast. My only reservation about my single room was that the comfortable bed overwhelmed the space, making the already small room feel cramped -- but then, I didn't spend a lot of time in the room.

This was a super hotel to stay at in Athens. The location is perfect. I came from the airport by metro and the metro station is just right up the block. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I needed boarding passes printed and that was no problem. The breakfasts were delicious. Many options and of course delicious Greek yogurt. My room was comfortable and I was in an inner room so not much worry about noise off the street. Next time I’m in Athens yes I will stay here. Thank you!

The property itself was wonderful, it is just a shame that the area it is in isnt. After googling the neighbourhoods in Athens Omonia was one they advised to avoid (we had no trouble but at night it didn’t feel very safe)

I liked the rooftop bar & restaurant. I was good to take the kids there after a long day they could go straight to bed after, and the view was great! Despite it being walkable, the neighborhood made me a little nervous.
