Property was mostly great but there was standing water in the shower behind the door with thick mildew build up and kind of made me queasy.

I should’ve said something, but didn’t. It was my first time to Bali and I was staying here before my accommodations were ready. Staff was great, pool was wonderful, and breakfast was good.

“Hotel” looks nothing like the pictures in or outside. The hotel is outdated, rotting, falling apart with certain rooms blocked off with caution tape under construction…

Inside the room, the bed sheets & towels had questionable stains, the fridge was not even plugged in and ranked of death, the kettle was covered in stains.

We sat in the room for a bit a couldn’t do it, checked out straight away. You would’ve been better off in a bed and breakfast or hostel…

One this I HATE about Bali is taxi drivers don’t take no for an answer and start harassing you once you leave the hotel. The restaurant isn’t worth the prices, there is room service, the pools are not the best and one is only able deep, the AC doesn’t get very cold, the bed was not too soft and not too hard, pillows were horrible, and most of the rooms were blocked off with red tape. Hotel must have a bug problem.

I'm not sure how this hotel got such a high rating, there are 6 levels and every level has half, if not more of the hotel rooms, red taped over the door, meaning it's unusable, we got 2 rooms side by side as they don't do single rooms that fit a family of 5. Each day when they clean the rooms, they would take 3 towels and replace with 2 towels, even though they knew there were 3 ppl staying in one room, I had to call up everyday for them to bring a 3rd towel. They don't have hand soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands, they said to use the 2 in 1 shampoo and body wash that is in the shower, to wash our hands.

We went to the pool for a swim, there were 4 people already in the pool, when I asked for 4 pool towels, they said that they only have 5 and that I have to use my bath towel and then call house keeping to bring new bath towels to the rooms. (How can you only have 5 pool towels when your hotel is servicing more than 5 people?)

We got the buffet breakfast as part of our package, they don't serve bacon and the fried rice and pasta always has spice in it, so my kids couldn't eat it, they had a 6 bread toaster which only 3 of them worked, so people are waiting ages to get their toast, the orange juice isn't orange juice, it's watered down cordial.

Our room door handle played up, so they moved us from the 3rd floor to the 5th floor, the room they put us in had the WIFI signal on the ceiling which kept beeping every 10 seconds which they couldn't fix.

Breakfast below par. All food in pans was cold. Eggs were only Hot Food to order.

Upon arriving, the hotel looks great, however looks are deceiving. Front reception staff were very friendly. They said we were upgraded due to the hotel being full. Felt rather excited about this. When we walked to our room, every other door is covered by a black liner. Finally get to our room, it looked bright and inviting, however it’s in great need of a paint, repair. Very scuffed up paintwork on walls and closet. The grout in the bathroom was orange/brown, the towels smelt clean, but not one was without stains. The one hand towel we had was frayed. The outdoor balcony ceiling had paint coming off and balconies you looked out to had random rooms with dead plants. Guessing those are the rooms that are covered with a black liner. Location was good as it was close to great dining options. Just a shame as it was our last night in Bali. That being said, the kind staff distract you from the negatives. Would I go back. Doubt it.

First of all, there’s only a stool in the room, there's no chair where you can lean back in the room. Secondly, the water in the bathroom, both by the toilet 🚽 area and in the shower 🚿 area, the water doesn't drain at all, because the ground is tilted to wrong angle, therefore the water doesn't drain. Terrible! ☹️
The safety box did not work at first, called the service tech and they fixed it. Bathroom rug always dirty each day (see the pictures).
Hotel service is pretty bad. Each night we have to request for two extra shower towels, a hand towel and clean bathroom rug. Also, they did not refill the shampoo/soap for us, so we didn’t have any shampoo nor soap during the 3rd night/4th day.
Also, the room request does take a long time for them to deliver items to us.
They moved us to another room on the ground floor, however, the room on the ground floor feels a lot more dampened (lembab) than the room on the fifth floor. You can see condensation forming on the AC, and the floor does feel a lot more dampened. And also, for some reason the toilet area on the ground floor smells stinks.

Location close to airport, restaurants and shopping mall. Staff were exceptionally friendly (the best part about the hotel). Not to be disrespectful in any way, but this property unfortunately didn’t satisfy my expectations. It’s more outdated than expected. The bed sheets were severely stained with yellow patches. And the bathroom needed a good scrub. The buffet breakfast could do with a few more western options, like pastries and other items that are a bit lighter on the stomach. Dripz coffee shop downstairs is great and convenient to pick up your morning coffee. The highlight would have to be the staff. Very welcoming, very friendly each time when passing in the hallways, very accommodating. Both of the drivers I had to and from the airport where lovely. Overall, if you’re looking for a decent hotel and don’t have high expectations like myself, this hotel is for you.

Overall Eden Hotel is very good value for the room tariff. Our package included breakfast which had reasonable choices. The hotel is clean and staff all very friendly. Location at South Kuta is within easy walking distance of two large shopping centres and Waterborn park which is very convenient if you have kids! The main pool area is somewhat small and located within building two at the rear of the property, so try and ask for a room in this part of the hotel. I will say that the hotel is quite busy for tour groups and can get a little noisy at times with guests coming and going. There is also a Mosque near by so you may hear the call for prayer in the early hours of the morning. No big deal for us. We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our time. For those wanting to stay longer and looking for more of a resort style hotel, you might find this property somewhat limited in terms of facilities and eating options.

The hotel is in the middle of kuta. The hotel is noisy, you can hear all sounds from other guest. The sheets and towels were not really clean and they were smelly. The airconditioning didn’t function well so we had to call maintenance. We thought we had book for a night, but at check-in we were told we had a transit room for 7 hours. Did was not clear at booking, so we had to pay an afditional fare. The staff was oke and helpfull. They say it is a four Starr hotel. I would say a max. Three Starr. I would say if you have options, you should look for an alternative

Two of the most amazing floor staff Abi and Ketut made us feel so welcome to Bali and treated us like we were friends that hadn’t seen each other in ages. I can not thank these two wonderful guys enough. If it wasn’t for these guys we probably would have moved on,

Please do not be fooled by the large amount of positive reviews and ratings-because we were! Images of the hotel do not match the real thing. The pool is about a metre deep and not very big at all, there are not enough sun chairs for everybody that visits the already small pool area (we paid extra to have pool access rooms so it was frustrating to not even have your own chair during the day), and the buildings surrounding the pool prevent sunlight for most of the day. The rooms are much smaller than the images online depict and nearly every day there was maintenance being done. The room my parents were in had issues such as broken T.V., dripping aircon and dirty curtains (which is just generally unpleasant). Our room had a broken shade, a very very bad smell coming from the sink (we complained the first night but nothing was done) and dirty sheets on our FIRST night. Then the general stuff: the wifi only works if you sit outside, the breakfast range is limited, and some sort of machine (we don't know if it was the pool cleaner maybe??) that kept making very long, loud, vibrations/sounds ALL THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. Our booking was non-refundable and it made no sense to waste over $5000 so we sucked it up and stayed even though we were already searching to go elsewhere. The staff themselves were extremely pleasant and kind but that is as far as the \"good\" in this review goes. We felt terrible during our stay and wouldn't wish anyone to feel the same or waste their money.

Travelled July 2019. Value for money was good and staff were amazing. The drains smelled so bad in the bathroom we had to sleep with the exhaust fan on. The pool was average too. Pool bar was a win but as the buildings wrap around the pool it was often in the shade and always cold. Only a few deck chairs too with very little room to walk around them. There were many tourist groups coming here during our stay. Always people in large numbers in the lobby and restaurant. The restaurant was not well stocked either. Perhaps because of the large volume of people but that should be catered for. The cutlery on the tables hardly replaced, every day we had to looking for knifes and forks. Juice dispenser frequently empty too. Great place to stay if you just need somewhere clean and a bed, don't stay if your wanting to spend much time at the hotel/pool.

The clean and spacious room had a large bed with separate toilet & hot shower and towels, hairdryer & toiletries were provided, closet with hangers, slippers & safety deposit box, small refrigerator, electric kettle with cups, tea/coffee/sugar, and bottled water, TV, writing table with chair, blackout curtains, and air-conditioner. Breakfast is buffet style and varies on a daily basis. There's a nice swimming pool with bar, a spa and a boutique. Lippo Mall, bank, convenient stores, money changers and eateries are within walking distance.

I had two seperate bookings. I happened to be placed in the same room. The bed had been made fro a new guest, it happened to be me and I noticed my sheets were the same as my previous stay. From a stain on the sheet there prior. Disgusting. Also, no hot water in the shower for 1 out of 3 nights. Not good. Staff in reception were good

The only real saving grace for this hotel was the staff - lovely and friendly
We booked an 8 hour stay due to a late at night flight home (very close to airport)
We warm a cooled room and somewhere to shower.
Air con did not work, only pushed hot air around, shower smelt so much of mould it was like cats wee.
Perhaps long term guests receive better rooms
