The Dynasty Bali Resort is a great place for families on holiday but less appropriate for people wanting a child free environment. The staff are fantastic, rooms are very clean and the breakfasts are fantastic with so much environment.
The Resort is well located for shopping with two malls close by.
The resort is being refurbished with new paint and alterations and we had to relocate to a new room because of noise but the staff were very receptive to our concern and handled the arrangements extremely well.
Our visit coincided with Chinese New Year and the breakfast room was very noisy. The Balinese music played was at a rather loud level, but because of the noise level was rather pointless.
As older people we would not choose to stay again at the Dynasty again but would definitely recommend it for families who are well catered fir.

It would’ve been nice to have been told the kids pool would be out of action for entire stay. No compensation.
The laundry services are ridiculously expensive at $3 per item. Also if you want a machine coffee in the morning, it’s not included. You must pay for that. I think that should be standard with most hotels these days. The room was clean and good.

It’s a very different experience with my prior stays in Bali. We usually stayed at Nusa Dua.
This hotel focuses on sales and volumes instead of service. The reception was rude during check in, she was unable to explain why they need to take a copy of my kids passports. But we solved that when the manager came out. No apologies or anything.
We found cockroaches in the breakfast restaurant.
To give them credit, they tried to compensate by allowing us a late check out. But we didn’t fully enjoy the experience with this one unfortunately.

Plus sides: - good happy hour pricing, lots of activities for adults and kids, young kids eat free with each paying adult.

I fell just in front of the lift as I was on the second floor. The floors had large very shiny tiles all over the place and as soon as they get any water on them, they become very very slippery. As I approached the lift my feet went from undernether me and I came crushing down on my back. So now I have a spinal fracture and in a back brace for 12 weeks, very luck that I am not in a wheel for the rest of my life. Please anyone avoid this hotel aat all cost.

The Dynasty was an okay hotel overall, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for us. There were a lot of rules around kids that we weren’t expecting — for example, children aren’t even allowed to sit with you near the pool bar area, which was disappointing for a family stay.
The rooms were decent. We stayed in a family studio with bunk beds and a trundle, which worked well space-wise. The air-conditioning was only okay; I always bring a small fan just in case, and I definitely needed it here.
For the price, the hotel felt a bit run down. I’m not really sure where the hype comes from, as it didn’t feel like great value for money. For almost the same price, I would definitely recommend the Hard Rock instead, especially if you have young kids.
On a positive note, the staff were friendly and always said hello, which was appreciated.
Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, but in my honest opinion, it should be cheaper for what you get.

Cons: Rooms were bit dated/musty and i found mosquitoes as well as ants in the rooms. Facilities such as pools were ok and Kids clubs were crowded.

The room was falling part. The blind broke the first time we tried to close it, the towel rail came off in the bathroom as soon as we hung a towel on it, the door handle on the sliding door came off every time we closed it, and the toilet kept running every time we did a full flush.
The family room is very small, and they consistently left us 4 bottles of water even though the booking was for 5. They also kept taking the sheets from the 3rd bunk when they did the room clean of a morning…so we had to call for another one each night.
To be fair, we called about all of the issues as soon as they happened, and they sent a staff member straight away every time. We also called for more water and it was delivered quickly every time.
Breakfast was great, lots of options. Staff were all very lovely and attentive. The lounge was great for our last day when we had a late checkout, but would have appreciated shampoo and conditioner in the shower.
A lot of the things they advertise on the site (game's room etc) required payment, which is fine, but I think that should be reflected on the site, as we had no idea.

Everything is just perfect including the pool, kids play area, restaurants for families. It’s easy just to stay in and enjoy the resort. We will definitely return again.

The hotel provides water activities everyday and convenient facilities nearby. They offer photography services for the busy family who don’t have time back home to have one of the boxes ticked while enjoying the relaxing holiday at the same time. Free onsite childcare services for the kids up to 16 within 3 different age groups suits all your needs. Irish pub and multiple cuisine restaurants to be selected to suit your taste buds. Onsite mini night markets, fish spa with a magician is a good. The only downside is the pool water has excessive chemicals and caused my kids skin rash which we have no problems when we went to other hotel’s pool or water bomb park at the later days.

The room is not matching the description. Bunk bed is so old.
The additional request for water bottle is chargeable.

There is only 1 port for international converter per room.

Family of four stayed 7 nights, you really dont have to leave the hotel if you dont want too there is so much on for the kids, so many food choices, money changer & mini mart on site. Our only down fall was being on the ground level, I was woken up a few times at night to the sound of people above us. It is a busy hotel but still chill, the staff were all amazing & helpful, the kids loved the water slides & spent most days in the pool. The beach at the back of the hotel was nice & clean, it was a quick walk to Discovery Mall & Waterbomb. We booked this hotel for the kids & would go back again.

Kids loved it. Our group had 7 kids ages 2 - 11. They spent all week in the pool, on the water slides, and at the kids club movie night. The older kids enjoyed going to kids club alone.

Adults liked it too. The resort is well maintained and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. There was a faint sewer smell when we opened our courtyard door, not a big issue for us as we only went out there to hang clothes to dry. I think it's because they were doing construction next to the hotel.

Great AC in the room. Most of the cafes/restaurants are open air and shady, which is lovely except the one day it was just too hot. Don't come for the food.

Check in was terrible. We arrived at 1.30pm from our previous hotel. Did paperwork and made payment and were told our room wasn't ready yet which was understandable since checkin was officially at 2pm. We had 3 rooms in our group booked, 1 being a family lagoon suite and 2 deluxe suites. 1 deluxe room was ready by 2.30pm, the family suite wasnt ready till after 3 and the last deluxe room wasnt ready until after 3.30pm. While the staff were polite and offered a can of coke to apologise for the wait, considering the amount of money we spent to stay there it really wasnt good enough. In the 2 hours we waited in the lobby there was at least 4 other families that came checking if there room was ready yet.

Ok if you’re looking for a resort with a kids club

We stayed in the Family Lagoon Pool Access for 3 nights at the beginning of our 12 night stay in Bali.

Pro’s
- close to the airport so a quick transfer after a late flight
- good pool facilities
- close to lots of shops and restaurants. It’s a nice walk along the ocean wallway to Kuta beach
- convenient with breakfast included in our room
- nice kids touches like a colouring book, soft toy and tray when we arrived
- kids club options but we never used them
- pool room was great, the kids spent most of the time in the lagoon outside our room which was mostly empty. Much nicer than the main pool areas.

Con’s
- our room was really damp; feeling and smell. After our first room clean they put a dehumidifier in there (we didn’t ask for it)
- room cleaning was very basic/ almost non existent. They gave us some new room towels, but never changed the pool towels despite them being in a pile on the floor for 2 days
- we had dinner at the buffet one night which I wouldn’t recommend. Around $50aud for a very basic buffet, not worth it
- paying up front for the resort credit was weird, and then being contacted as soon as we’d spent it all. It didn’t seem to be well set up for just paying your bill upon check out

Overall fine experience for the beginning of our trip, but I wouldn’t go back. The room rate was really high to cover the services like kids club but we didn’t see the value in it.

We love Bali Dynasty as the kids club is exceptional & we are repeat guests. Air con in top floor room not strong enough. On the coolest setting it was still too hot. Ordering coffees at breakfast took way too long, service not up to scratch. Breakfast buffet still good but quality may have declined.

The staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit rundown. The kids club closes too often and kids are forced to leave, which resulted in alot of meltdowns. It's great they want to encourage kids to join activities outside but should have an option for kids to remain inside if they don't want to engage in those activities. Staff also opened kids club late and closed early, so kids on some days would get 45 mins in kids club and had to leave again. The corridors were also loud early hours of the morning and the rooms smelt of mould, despite requesting a dehumidifier.

Staff are amazing and the food was great. Facilities are good. My only complaint is that it was FULL of kids! Yes I know it’s a family resort but we couldn’t get close to the pool as every chair was taken and the pool was seething with kids (it’s not even school holidays!) and once in our room all you can hear are screaming kids constantly until late at night. Meals were incredibly loud as it was packed. Expect AU $30 each for meals. The little shop is great and they have an evening market. It is the perfect resort for small children and can’t fault the staff.

Loved the Dynasty! Staff were all so lovely. Food was awesome. Kids swimming area was great for the little ones. We had a lagoon room which again was fab, big enough for the 4 of us. Was a little dissapointing the PlayStation didn't work in our room which we called about but no one did come to fix before we left for our second hotel. Overall I'd recommend and rate Dynasty if you want somewhere that is a little more traditional and not so westernised.

Thanks Dynasty!

Hotel was comfortable to stay in, the service and staff are stellar, everyone was friendly and inviting. You felt good going back to the bars or restaurants around the Dynasty complex.

Food was great. And to top it all off the hotels proximity to most a lot of the things that bring people to Kuta is pretty neat.

We had a fantastic week and will certainly be returning in the future.
