This area is definitely good for a business traveller. The hotel requires some renovation. The shower curtain stinks this time round during my stay, making the toilet having a moldy smell.

Towels provided were very old & looks very dirty. I don’t feel like using it for drying my body after shower. Highly recommend bringing your own towels. Saw cockroach in our room during the night. Only great locations for dining and drinking.

The room I stayed was spacious and in great condition. It is quite far from Pineng island but the hotel itself is in a great and happening location (Aroma city). I would choose this hotel if visiting Butterworth again

There are many happening in the area which is a good spot!
Yet I would ask the hotel management to look into the air-con, it not cooling enough even it is set to the lowest and celiling fan running.
The bathroom smelly and the towel too! Maybe not enought vandalism... is the issue?

Hotel close to many restaurants

The room was clean and the air conditioner working well. The bed was comfortable too.

However I like to suggest the following improvements.
1) The kettle does not work despite two changes of kettle. Do provide a working and reliable kettle.
2) Water pressure was low which made taking a shower a little troublesome. Increase the water pressure.
3) Install at least 2 more 3-pin power sockets.

Aroma Hotel at Butterworth Bussiness City Centre is strategically located at the heart of Butterworth. It is surrounded by commercial hubs, cuisine centres, shopping complexes, Mak Mandin and Prai Industry Estates. Easy for us to have meeting with friends & business partners.

Do it right the first time

Bed was nice enough. Wash basin drain drips to the floor and wets feet. It was clear that maintenance tried to put all sorts of glue around the drainage elbows...except to fix it correctly. Sad state. Would have been a great stay.

Worse hotel facilities ever

When i went in to the room it was hot then i switch on the air conditioner in the room then i realise the air conditioner position is far away from the bed and the fan could not able to reach bed and i had to switch on the fan to get myself comfort. Then the air conditioner is not cold at all , then the whole room only got 1 power point to charge phone only ... and also the parking ramp to floor above and below was just fit for small car only when bigger car go in have to reverse down to outdoor parking

Value for money. Staff were friendly and polite. There's leaves on the carpet floor in front of my room. Not so clean. Suggest to put a divider or class door to separate the shower area n toilet. My whole bathroom floor was wet after shower.

The WiFi in the room is really bad
There is no restaurant in the hotel, so Breakfast is a problem. Lunch and dinner alright, as surrounding eatery plenty
Hotel is clean... quiet, and close to butterworth
Has Starbuck and Beer Factory nearby for easy evening out
No gym or pool at hotel

A simple Hotel

This was my 3rd or 4th stayed, is a simple hotel best with not high expectation. Usually I will request for a non-smoking floor and not facing the pub side due to I was once staying facing the pub and end up couldn't get my sleep and asked for a room changed.
This time I did my booking through Expedia request the same for a non-smoking room, high floor quiet room and important not facing to the pub.
During the late check in around 1am (due to flight) I mention again to the front desk that I did request for a quiet room that not facing the pub and non-smoking room!! Front desk (malay-man) told me that the room was facing to the pub but will not be that noisy caused is at the high floor. I thought so... to disappointment the room I stayed was only at the 5th floor 3 floor down to the pub.... and from the corridor to my room was smelled of cigarettes and so as my room!!! Cigarettes Smell was so strong and 2nd worst was the loud music from the pub... is was so clear and loud able to heard people singing birthday songs. It is worst during Friday & Saturday!!!! A stayed for 3 nights didn't asked for a change of room thinking the smell and noise might not affect much... but is a big disappointment... and mistake for not changing my room...

Ants crawling

Basically the location is ideal. However, the room condition is very bad. As this is my second time stay in Aroma, there are ants crawling on the table same with the first time and the furniture is torn pieces here and there. I experienced strong wind and flood during my stay in Aroma. The dust dropped everywhere from the window on the floor, clearly, the window is not properly cleaned.

I was stay in this hotel at room 6032. The air-con condition really is bad. it was no working at midnight timing roughly 2am - 4am, after that, it working again. and also I feel upset I paid for this rate but the room was not provide indoor slippers. I really don't understand why not provide note pad, pen and indoor slippers for guest.

Good enough for short stay. Not much amenities provided by hotel (swimming pool, gym, kids play area). I just stayed for one night & spend more time outside hotel. The room is very clean & spacious enough for family. Hotel location also quite far from town, thus only suitable for guest with own/rental car.

Nice, no-frills hotel.

The place is very near some nice restaurants, including a 24-hour Starbucks! My room was not very sound proof, so do be mindful to bring your own earplugs if you are a light sleeper. I didn't need any though. The hotel was generally clean and comfortable too!

Housekeeping threw away my facial cleanser. Reception promised to call me to update status if they could find it but I never got a return call.
Room was dirty even after housekeeping cleaned it and they even left some used plastic wrapper in the room.
I feel that Aroma Hotel should honour what they promised and not just pay lip service.
