A sorry excuse for a hotel, keep your money and go elsewhere. Dirty floors, not enough towels in the room, the bathroom smelled bad. no fridge or coffee pot in the room. Very noisy place, kids were running up and down the place until late at night making all kinds of noises. I wouldn't advice to stay there even if you had to.

There was no air conditioning in our room and as it was 35 degrees that day, it was very hot in our room. The fan provided did not suffice especially because the windows were facing yard where people sat and had a good time until midnight. The kids struggled sleeping. Otherwise very friendly and helpful staff and clean facilities

This was an inexpensive, but clean and adequate hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the food in the restaurant was quite nice. The hotel is very close to public transport and not too far from the airport. Not much else around though.

While it’s a cute hotel, the only way to get any air flow is to open the windows, which means that it’s so noisy in the room (as the hotel is right on a major street) that it’s impossible to sleep, even with ear plugs. We checked in and out the same day and went to a different hotel

Very friendly service at this hotel and spacious rooms but as other travellers have said, the rooms are extremely hot and the noise from traffic and the train was so loud all night that we couldn’t leave the window open. We all slept terribly because of the heat - a fan was provided but it wasn’t enough to help.

While the young lady who checked me in was very friendly and professional, any other time I walked by the desk the other young ladies were very indifferent. When I went to check out, I offered the key to the counter girl and she looked at me like I had handed her a hammer and she gave me a look of annoyed indifference. I just rolled my eyes and strolled out.

This place is in the middle of nowhere! Yes, it’s close to the airport (which I wanted) so it’d be more convenient and cheaper to get a lift to the airport early in the morning. Don’t be fooled. We ordered a TAXI for my husband to drop him off at the airport. A private car (the Asian receptionist son) showed up to take him to the airport and to charge us 600 Czech crowns, which is abdolutely outrageous and ridiculous given the airport is 15 mins away. I come from Czech republic and know that 600Kc is a rate that can take you to the airport from downtown that is over 30 mins away, let alone from this hotel. The receptionist son probably makes a good money like this. Nothing but a bunch of thiefs!!! The restaurant was open only from 5-9pm and they only offered two meals - really??? I had to get up from the table and make myself known to the waiter who was too busy being on the phone! Noisy place at night.....hell no I am not staying again!!!!

Hotel room was adequate, stayed 6 nights and was very good. Breakfast was included. Only downside was the Saturday night when there was a party, there was a function room but they had spread to the bar so we couldn't get a drink or use the pool table. It was also very noisy when the party goers went to their rooms. That was the only downside. Easy access into the centre of Prague.

You get what you pay for

We stayed there on our last night because of proximity to airport. Hotel is right on a busy main road so it is pretty loud also it was smelly. There is nowhere to walk to, we tried in both directions to find restaurant, no luck. Ended up eating at hotel, it was ok, waiter was the only highlight in the place, he was very nice. Reception staff was ok but by no means friendly. Glad we only stayed there the one night. Was a disappointing end to our wonderful trip.

Basic hotel, clean, quite, good location. Do not expect too much(no full English breakfast, obviously). Rooms are ok, nothing special, free 24hrs check in. Good continental! breakfast included in room's price. I don't think you can get cheaper 3* hotel in Prague that is ok. Ignore previous really bad reviews, people just too picky and do not undertand what 3* in Europe means. Will stay again! At the end of the day I came to visit Prague and I only slept in the hotel. For this purpose it is fine. For luxurious and perfect decor and massive flat screen telly look elsewhere with appropriate price tag.

Direct team to town is now being repaired

Not a bad hotel overall. Everything as reviews suggest: clean room, ok beds (new), ok shower (older), decent breakfast. HOWEVER:::::::: the tracks for the direct tram to town are now being repaired!!!!!! To get to old town you need to ride a bus to metro station OR tram+bus+tram combination. It still only takes maybe 40 min to get to the Old Town. The area between the hotel and the tram stop is a thin sidewalk with a highway on one side and park ok the other so I don't know how I would feel if I was a solo female traveler coming back to the hotel late at night.

The room was spacious and comfortable, though it was also a bit hot in the middle of the summer. An AC would not be necessary, but a fan would have been nice. The staff at the desk are friendly and helpful, but the restaurant/bar is not very well staffed. It was sometimes difficult to get attention. The hotel is on a main road with a tram line, so it makes access to old town easy.

I wanted a 5 star hotel but I wanted to pay almost nothing LOL.
Seriously I have stayed there 3 times. It is a bit basic but it is clean.
The big drawback is the road/tram noise. The advantages are it has good transport links, lots of bus routes plus 3 day tram routes and 2 night tram routes. It is on the west side of prague. It has a limited restaurant and breakfast is average. Good wifi. rooms are variable some with showers and some with bath tubs.
If you use google maps and follow the bus routes the airport is around 50 minutes and around 20 mins to the river 30 mins to the centre of Prague.
It does the job . If you want more then pay more.

The worst Nightmare ever

Second stay in this property (prior to this one it was one night only and in totally different room) thist time we payed for three nights incl breakfast and internet. We got room that was heated over 40 degrees Celsius, non functional TV, based on previous experience I kindly asked for breakfast package - I NEVER got one. The WiFi does not work, the TV does not work, the \"roof window\" is right below the street lamp - it means you literally can not turn off the light (I put a towel on the window but it only lowered the intensity). The smell from public toilet chemicals is all over the hotel. And BTW there is a list on the wall in the coridor that says: \"you have to check the room prior to your stay, here is list of prices per item that we are going to charge Lamp 500, broken bed ... TV... etc.) My fiancee left after first night since we were literally afraid of hygienic conditions - one of the beds was strange yellowish colour - and broken too...) Never ever even consider to stay in this so called three stars hotel with the quality of low level hostel. Also I contacted Hotels.com to deal with the situation - no success at all, what a disapointment. I stay app 30-50nights/year for business plus Holiday time and this was really crazy experience.

I choosed this hotel because my \"usual hotel\" was full booked. The stay was all right, effective check in/out and restaurant service way above standard. Overall - if you need to stay on a budget - no dissapointment and public transport (tram) takes you directly to the downtown within 15minutes.

It is a nice place and it is in a beautiful building. There is a tram nearby; however, the hotel ran out of tickets and you cannot purchase them at all stops. This meant to use the tram I had to drive to the nearest public transport station (about ten minutes) to purchase tickets. Not really the hotel's fault although it would have been nice for them to have more tickets on hand and/or provide more help for me to find a place to sell tickets. As it was I had to search the internet to find all the info I needed. The room was nice but if you are expecting really nice beds, pillows or a big tv then you will want to pay more for a different place.

If you are driving to Prague, stay here. You can purchase mass transportation tickets at the front desk and the tram stops 200 meters from the hotel. Very clean, recently remodeled, easy to find. The walls are thin, though, so you may hear your neighbors.

Arrived and our reservation was not in the computer even though it was made 12 months before. Sorted out after a phone call and production of booking form from hotels.com. Noise carries up stairs from bar/restaurant when a noisy group was there on one of the nights. Breakfast was ok but not refilled until someone told the kitchen staff. Good connection to town with trams running every 5/10 minutes and stop only 300m from hotel

A convenient hotel

The hotel is 5 minutes of walk distance to the bus stop (179) to the airport and the train (No.9) to the old town and new town areas. Free wi-fi access and free breakfast were offered. It's a good place to stay. However, there is no air-conditioner in room and the window is quite small and could not be dully opened. No elevator available for customers.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was quaint and looked quite nice.

The breakfast was nothing special, but was passable.

The room I booked was spacious, it was a single room and was clean and tidy. Only 2 hangers in the wardrobe and a small TV which only had Chez and German channels, the sheet did not fit very well, nor did the quilt cover. The room was cleaned every day, but only the rubbish picked up from the side where I had put it and the bathroom cleaned. No bed made or anything like that.

I could also hear the trams as they passed, which run quite regularly, are quite loud and run through the night.

Central Prague is a fair distance from the hotel, fifteen minutes to get to the edge of the city and if you want to get to the very touristy part expect to get dropped off after 25 minutes and have to walk about 10 minutes. The tram service in Prague is very good though.

It was value for money, but do not expect too much.

I personally did like it and would stay again, but I would explore other options before booking this one.

From bad to worse

First problem with this hotel is that the address information is incorrect - the pizza restaurant that's actually at the address is so used to lost tourists, they actually find it entertaining when people arrive with their luggage.
Reception staff when we checked in was horrible, worst service in three years of travelling Europe. She tried to tell us that our room wasn't paid for and insisted on arguing with me about it, despite my showing here my proof of payment and credit card e-statement.
Then she tried to charge us for the internet, despite the fact that it was included with our room.
The worst of this woman was that when we tried to make arrangements for a taxi the next morning, she advised us that it would be 550 and that we had to pay her!! We had asked the previous cab driver and he said it should be no more than 300 from there to the airport.
The room was clean enough but it smelled like it had been cleaned with diesel - it smelled absolutely foul - we had to leave the room for over an hour, with the window open, before I could go back in to it. And that was still unbearable after that.
The restaurant had only four selections for food and it wasn't until after we had eaten that the waiter told us they wouldn't accept credit cards (despite the signs on the hotel doors) or let us charge it to the room.
Add into the equation that there is absolutely nothing around for miles and the TV didn't work and it all made for a horrific stay.

Hotel is located close to the tram station (5min.) and the bus to the airport(10 min.). Center is approx. 30 min. by tram. Hotel is just by the main road. Unfortunately noise from the outside is very disturbing and you can hear every tram and car. There is a very fast internet at the room. Personal is not very friendly, very poor choice on breakfast, and nobody clean the room.

Hotel Stary Pivovar was a pleasant stay. The staff was warm and very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean as well as everything else. My only complaints are that the rooms didn't have heat in mid September and the walk from the tram is a bit of a walk, especially if you are carrying luggage. Other than that, the Hotel Stary Pivovar was a grat place to visit

Myself and my girlfriend found the hotel to very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Prague. The hotel is some way from the centre of Prague, but it only took about 15 minutes to get to the centre by tram and the tram stop is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the only bad point is that you can hear the traffic outside but we had no problem in getting to sleep at night. The breakfast in the morning was also quite good with a good variety/

When we first got there the room they put us in wasn't ready. They also advertised free wifi but the wifi did not reach our room. Room was very stuffy and the windows did not have a screen so bugs would fly into our room. Comfortable beds but the shower was ridiculous. The way that the doors close and how the shower is positioned water got all over the bathroom floor. The staff was very nice and helpful when asked questions about sightseeing. There is a tram stop within walking distance to the city so I would recommend staying at this hotel and using the tram to get in and out of the city because driving in the city is impossible. Breakfast was complimentary and very good.

Not a good experience

We arrived around 9pm and there was no one at the desk, so we walked into the adjoining bar and were essentially sent away by the bartender and her friend saying they cannot help us. So we waited another 3-4 minutes and when no one showed up, walked back into the bar to ask for help. Again, we were turned away and told by the same bartender that they didn't know where the receptionist was and that it wasn't their problem. So we waited. Eventually, the receptionist showed up and she was nice and helpful. The room was fine. Not great, but fine. It was directly above the bar and quite noisy. Breakfast wasn't that great.
After thinking back on our stay, the real issue with this place is te restuarant/bar. It adjoins the hotel, but the staff was not friendly and actually quite rude. In the tourism industry, this is absolutely not acceptable. The reception (or lack there of) that we received was enough for me to write this review and never recommend this place to anyone. We stayed at many other hotels on our trip and had a much better experience elsewhere.

Staffs don't know which bus goes to the airport

I chose this hotel because it's about 6km to the airport. I thought it should be very convenient to go to the airport by bus.

But when I asked the staff (girl A) who replied me where to take the bus but she doesn't know which bus number it is.

The next day I asked another staff (girl B) who replied me the correct number (#179) but the wrong bus stop. Then I was there waited for half an hour with all my luggages but in vain.

So I had to go back to the hotel and asked her to call for taxi which I had to pay in the hotel (kc 550) which is more expensive than the trip when I went there from the airport (kc 475).

So I suggest that the hotel should put a sign or map to show the correct information for people who wants to go to the airport by bus.

I asked girl A to give me a quiet room but she gave me a room facing the street.

But I didn't change to other room because she gave me a quarto room with 4 single beds and dinning table with 4 chairs and one sofa! I was happy cause I only pay for single room!

Staff at desk were not professional. Hotel staff was not trained. did not care about customers. Efter prisen helt ok. Familie på 4 på 4 dages ophold. Venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Værelserne er ikke noget særligt men der er pænt rent.

L'accueil est tres chaleureux. Il y a toujours quelqu'un à l'accueil. Le personnel parle anglais. L'hôtel est bien placé,facile d'acces en voiture. Nous avons profité du tramway qui passe juste à côté. (les tickets achetés à l'hotel).Le petit déjeuner est excellent, le choix pour tous les goûts. Pas de climatisation dans la chambre,il faisat un peu chaud pour dormir

Dobrý hotel

Hotel je síce umiestený na odľahlejšom mieste, ale je od neho dobré spojenie do centra električkou. Hotel je celkom príjemný, čistý, s ústretovým personálom, s parkoviskom a s dobrými raňajkami. A ak to spojíme tiež s cenou, môžem jednoznačne konštatovať, že sa jedná o dobrý hotel slúžiaci svojmu určeniu.

Contra the advertisement, parking is no longer free - 10 Euro per night.
Breakfast is average, not enough choice.
The door opener card needs to be re-programmed in the morning because you can't go back to the room after breakfast.
There is only soap in the bath, no shower gel.
It would be nice to get an tram ticket at the reception.

Sehr sehr schlecht.
Ich denke wirklich, dass diese Pension früher ein Kuh & Schweine stahl war. Der Besitzer des Stahls hat es zu einem Pension wandeln lassen.
Ich würde nie wieder in so einem Pension übernachten, sogar wenn ich auf der Straße bleibe.

저는 4인 싱글침대룸을 이용
방이 너무 넓어서 좋았음
수납공간도 많았음
층마다 작은 공동주방이 있음 전자레인지 커피포트 세탁기 사용가능
단 아쉬운점은 엘리베이터가 없음
3층(현지2층)을 이용했는데 첫날과 마지막날 캐리어 이동시 힘들었음
조식은 7시반부터 10시까지임(내가 이용할때)

Gutes Hotel für Autofahrer.

Sauber und in guter Entfernung zur Straßenbahn, mit der man leicht und billig und Zentrum Prags kommt. Gute kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. WLAN ist stabil und schnell. Allerdings war ein Antennenkabel defekt, die Klospülung extrem schwach und vor sieben Uhr gibt es nicht einmal ein Mini-Frühstück. Trotzdem eine vernünftige Wahl, wenn man mit dem Auto anreist.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, der Service gut. Parkplätze direkt am Haus und somit gut erreichbar.
Einziger Mangel, aber das gilt für ganz Tscheschien, kaum oder gar keine Englische Kentnisse bzw. Hinweise im Touristenbereich.
Prager- Altstadt für Rolli- Fahrer nicht zu empfehlen, zu großes und unregelmäßiges Kopfsteinpflaster.

- Restauracja na miejscu okazała się zamknięta :(
- Jednego dnia zimna woda pod prysznicem.

Новый год в Праге

Добраться от отеля до центра очень просто и быстро. Транспортное сообщение отличное, а расстояния не столь велики. Завтраки и правда вкусные - каждый выберет на свой вкус. Ресепшен вежливый, говорящий на разных языках: поможет, подскажет, объяснит... Но! Очень тонкие стены, слышно буквально все. Например, нам две ночи подряд мешали пьяные в хлам немцы, которые орали, стучали, включали громко музыку. Ни на наши замечания, ни на слова девушек с ресепшена не реагировали. Жаль, что в отеле нет охранника-мужчины, который мог бы привести им более доходчивые доводы.

The room had a strange, over powering smell from the chemicals used by the cleaning staff, and the double bed was actually two single mattresses put together. The room was definitely not sound proof, as I was woken up by other guests coming to their rooms in the middle of the night. The hotel restaurant was closed, as well as the bar. However, breakfast was outstanding.

Sicherer Parkplatz am Haus. Leicht an Hauptzufahrt nach Prag zu erreichen. Tram in der Nähe und nur 20 Minuten in die Stadt. Für Stadtreise okay. Abends gutbürgeliche preiswerte Küche. Frühstück ist okay. Betten gut.
