Very old hotel. The refrigerator wasn’t working. I informed the front desk, and when I explained that the refrigerator wasn’t working, the staff member smiled and told me it wasn’t actually a refrigerator but a minibar, which is why it didn’t work. Ridiculous.
The chair in the room was broken as well. I tried to sit on it and it fell apart — and I’m not heavy.
There was no hairdryer in the room, and the heater was turned off in December, which made the room uncomfortable.

I arrived quite late at night from Prague airport via bus, and the connections were super easy and dropped me right off at the hotel entrance. The desk was open, the clerk friendly and accomadating, the bar was open for a drink past midnight, and the room was clean and spacious. The inclusive breakfast the next morning was excellent and varied. The stay was an excellent value and close to the airport. Also easy to get into town via airport bus. I'd highly recommend this hotel!

Little disappointed by the service, more than anything. The guy at reception gave me the impression I was interrupting his day. Just not interested. He was there also upon departure, exactly the same. Refused receipt for stay, as required by our tax office, refused any documentation at all.

Clean, comfortable stay convenient to Prague airport (10min drive). Good value, tasty breakfast and FANTASTIC service. We arrived late at night and check-in was seamless. The staff was incredible - I had a terrible headache, and the staff was able to give me Ibuprofen free of charge. We were doing a roadtrip and had a car otherwise we would have stayed in the old town itself, but it took ~10min to drive to town and finding parking was not an issue

My room had a major stain on the carpet, looked like it came from the shower, there wasn’t a fan in the room and with the hot weather in the summer months in Prague it was sticky. Breakfast buffet was great with a lot of choices. Would recommend but please invest in some type of fan or AC system.

Great hotel, location excellent for Old Town Prague. Breakfast amazing and staff friendly. A couple of noisy stag celebrations but nothing too annoying. Would definitely stay again.

Basic room with two single beds and a tiny TV. No air conditioning and no fan was provided on a very hot day. Poor shower with low pressure water flow. Simple free breakfast. Cheap and good value if you are flying in or out of the airport late or early, but I would not want to stay here for more than one night.

Manager was condescending. This Hotel is listed as an airport Hotel, however, doesn’t appear to be that way since you can only check in at 3pm. They charge you for almost an extra night for early check in, that’s if you are lucky to be accomodated. Also, they don’t offer you any help with your luggage, not even a trolley, so good luck with that if you are traveling with multiple luggages. Very disappointing and don’t recommend.

The front desk guy barely spoke English. The entire Prague soccer team stayed in the hotel and talked ALL NIGHT long, and i didn't get sleep. I went to ask for a different room, and he didn't offer anything to resolve the issue.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and I had an early morning flight on my departure day. I was pleasantly surprised by the neighbourhood, lovely streets and the feel of a small village. The hotel is probably old but it was clean and the bed was comfortable and the complementary breakfast was great!

the hotel is in a good location for buses and airport plus can buy the bus pass in reception. The negative part is that can't regulate temperature in the room, also want to charge me taxes that were paid already by internet, I ask to not enter to my room to clean, and as soon I left, maid was in my room... I knew because I forgot something and when I come back ( less than 5 mts.) maid was inside in the bathroom.

I was very happy with my stay in hotel Meritum. I chose this place, because it is very close to the airport and the price was right. I booked one single room for one night. I was given double room, paid about 1000 czech crowns ( about 60 can. dollars), breakfast included. The bed was a bit firm for me, but for one night it was fine. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a refrigerator in the room. In the evening there were snacks, coffee and drinks in the lobby area. I was going to the airport (10 -15 min. drive) next morning, cost of taxi was about 200czech crowns (around 12 can. dollars).

Had an early flight so picked this hotel based upon proximity to the airport and price and we were pleasantly surprised! Hotel was fine- not fancy, but in average condition, clean and a great value. Night manager was friendly, sent wake up call on time and gave us boxed breakfast to go because our flight was too early for hotel's included breakfast. Uber to airport was approximately $12 each way. Overall we were very happy with our brief stay.

The hotel looked and felt like a hospital. It was not give off a warm welcome feel with it's cold exterior and very plain interior. It was perfect for staying close to the airport, but to get to downtown Prague was quiet a hike. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

I think the service was great. The woman who checked us in was so friendly and made sure we had a to go breakfast, since we had to leave before it started. Our room had tons of space, which was nice. However, the bed was so hard. It was not comfortable at all. And there was no air condition..... luckily it was really nice weather out.

A perfect 'airport transfer' hotel
The Hotel Meritum is a perfect 'staging' hotel for a flight in or out of Prague -- at a very reasonable price. It is somewhat stark and only slightly appointed; but extremely clean and very convenient. And although you do need to be able to tolerate a very hard bed, this hotel cannot be beat for a one-night stay. There is also a very small bar area in the lobby, and a nice European Breakfast area -- which conveniently opens at 6:30 a.m. And just 50 yards from the hotel is a very good hotel-owned restaurant/pub -- which offers excellent Czech food at an equally excellent price.

Exactly what we needed considering our flight time
The main reason for our stay at the Meritum was that is was just a few kilometers from Havel airport, and it was an easy drive at 4 a.m. to the airport, so it's hard to complain about a hotel that served its purpose, and there would be little reason to complain anyway. The young man who checked us in spoke excellent English and offered to provide us a sack breakfast at no additional charge. We accepted. We did find that the fridge in our room didn't work, so we would have been wise to pick up the breakfast when we left at 4 rather than picking it up at 10 p.m. as we did. If I were flying out of Prague at 6:30 a.m. again, I would again book at the Meritum. The price was right considering the hotel's proximity to the airport. Incidentally, you may read online that the airport car rental agencies are closed at night. Actually, there is a person on duty to accept and inspect returned rental cars. We had rented from Budget, and there was no extra charge for turning in a car at 4:30 a.m.

Very basic hotel, but for the price what do you expect. Very out of the centre so if you want to be in the centre most days sightseeing, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Good if you're desperate
Honestly this hotel is barely acceptable. The photos and reviews are misleading at best. Although we only stayed a few hours here due to a flight time change, it was more time than needed to review. The room itself was dirty, I understand the age playes a big part in that but when they have hotel monogrammed towels, but stained carpet and upholstery...there is a disconnect. Spend less money on monogramming the towels and bedspread and maybe throw some change at upholstery cleaning and new carpet at least (cheaper than tile). Another thing, I'm sure not the hotel's fault, but the water smelled very badly. Also, I booked the stay on Expedia, but the city tax was expected upon our check out. It was about 35 Czech crowns for the night. One more thing; unlike the States and most of Europe, Africa, and Asia- the room was changed at a higher rate for a 'double bed' than a single mattress. Not a huge deal, but worth noting.

It was fine for spending the night close to the airport to end a vacation.
Room needed maintenance: minifridge didn't work, big hole in chair upholstery, curtains stained.

Great value hotel for the airport
If you're looking for a value hotel near the airport then this is the one., The good size rooms are basically furnished with no frills but they are very clean and comfortable. You get an excellent breakfast included in the price. There's a good restaurant across the car park where you get a 10% guests discount. Bus and Metro makes it easy to reach city centre. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak English. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Great place to stay! Fantastic customer service. The girl at the desk arranged our taxi for 5:30 to the airport, and had boxed breakfasts waiting for us. Taxi was only 180 KC to the airport. We will definitely stay here again.

Very clean, friendly and helpful staff, close to airport (staff will call you a taxi), and the restaurant is really tasty and a great price! We stayed closer to the city center but used them the night beer we left to be close to the airport. Only drawback...hard beds.

Compared to the price of a hotel at the airport it is a fraction of the price and more authentic. It's about a 5 - 10 minute taxi ride that costs 180 - 240 Czech Crowns. There is a bar at the hotel and it serves breakfast. If you want another meal you will have to take a taxi ride. I had to get up early to catch a plane, and they provided a boxed breakfast without my having to ask. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and modern. There was free wifi but it disconnected frequently despite good signal strength. I would stay here again.
