Staff was always courteous and friendly.
Breakfast buffet was a FEAST! Huge selection of dishes, great ambiance for the occasion.
One negative comment but very important to know if driving is the location and access to the driveway. This information should be shared when booking.
There is only one access driveway, no parking or stopping on the street in front of hotel.
The driveway is not clearly marked to start. It is only wide enough for one car .it is situated at the corner of a busy intersection with traffic lights, curbs and people standing there waiting to cross the intersection. We spent almost 10 minutes trying to figure out you must maneuver these hurdles and it was nerve wracking coming and going with this unmarked driveway.

The room had no amenities. The shower head is a wand at thigh level. The hotel hall had a strong smell of sewer and cabbage( to the point we woke up with headaches each day)The breakfast was not fresh. There was no real concierge to give advise or help. There was a young lady at the desk but they were not overly helpful. The only positive is the location

The breakfast buffet was excellent! The room was a decent size but a bit dated. You need to put your room card in a slot by the door to turn on the lights. Great location but initially difficult to find the onsite parking late at night. Overall good value for the price.

It could be a be better, the shower room had mildew on the wall and the drain was clogged, I keep the towels on the rack to keep using but the cleaning lady was charging every day but she was not cleaning the bathroom ☹️

WIFI is non existing, hotel is decent

The hotel lies outside of where \"stuff\" happens - so be prepared for long walks up and down steep hills.
On the plus side there are almost no traffic so you can sleep with windows open easily.
The hotel is old'ish and could do with a refurb.
The wifi they advertise is amongst the worst wifi's I have had the \"pleasure\" of using on a hotel.
Either their router is in the lobby and they have no repeaters - or its just very poor. The fact is that our plans about watching a movie at night was not possible - speedtest said around 1KB/s - so we had to use our data plans.
The staff was not very friendly, but not unfriendly either - which I think might be caused by their english not being very good. ( I am not a native english speaker myself).
We had a room just next to the elevator, which was not ideal since the elvator made a lot of noise every time it was used, so it was hard to fall asleep.
The morning buffet was realitively good considering the price - lots of local treats.
Overall a good experience - but if I had to stay here again - I would ask for a room furthest away from the elevator - and a room where the wifi was actually working.

We had a great stay. Location excellent. No A/C...very hot. Towels were clean but flimsy, one actually had some holes in in. No fridge to keep cold water.
Overall it was great for value and location. Danny on reception was extremely helpful and informative. No 22 Tram service is also excellent and very handy coming back up the hill. Very expensive taxi ride from the train station, about10-15 mins (€32), so if you buy a 24/48 or other variety of train/tram/metro/bus ticket. Get No. 9 tram close to the Station and connect with No.22 tram to hotel. 24 hour pass is €4.

Hotel close to the centre

The hotel is close to the centre and tram 22 or 23 are outside the hotel.

When we came we were given a twin room length wise..which was very small. The bathroom shower was leaking. They also said that because the room was on the side the water would take a long time to heat up.

However our room was changed quickly and we were given a much better room. However there was no shower curtain , which meant a wet bathroom!!!

Tea making facilities are charged extra!!

Breakfast was good but the salads looked unappetising.

short (10 min) walk to Prague Castle. Right opposite tram stop for tram 22 into city centre (20 min ride) Very frequent service. We had front facing room, but not too noisy with windows shut. Minor repairs to room fittings - curtain track and shaving mirror required. Good sized comfortable room and bathroom. Plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. Breakfast included lots of choice, fruit, cereal, meat, cheeses, 3 hot items - sausage, scrambled egg and Carb ( potato, pasta, porridge). Helpful and friendly staff. Safe deposit box in room foc, but there is a £10 charge if you want tea / coffee making facilities in the room.

Good location, nice little hotel!

We picked this hotel due to its location and onsite parking, and we were glad we stayed here. It's right next to the beautiful Prague Castle and then a comfortable 20 minute walk down to the Charles bridge and other sites in old town square. The walk back to the hotel is a climb up but one can always take a tram with a stop right outside the hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful; free complementary breakfast had nice selections for all kinds of eaters including for us vegetarians. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

This was a decent hotel in a quiet area. Tram stop out front was handy. Questions we had in advance were not answered because they do not respond to emails --not even to confirm our reservation. I contacted the EA organization they are a part of and they didn't answer either. Finally I called Expedia and they stepped in and called the hotel for me, thank goodness. Bed and pillows were comfortable enough but narrow room made me feel a little claustrophobic. Great view of the city from the window.

Convenient location elegant stay

We stayed there 2 nights during our European road trip, coincided with the Czech beer festival. Pros: convenient location to the tram (stops in front of the hotel, take tram 22 to Old Town, 5-7 minute ride) and the Castle (the next building to it, where the castle’s wall ends), nice and elegant breakfast in their basement’s nooks area, can buy tram tickets directly from concierge, parking although paid (13 euros a night), is the cheapest of all centrally located Prague hotels. Cons: the noise (windows have no insulation and if you room faces the street, no ear plugs will mute the noise), never experienced a noise level at the hotel from the street that high. The hotel is on top of the hill, right by the Castle.

Great Stay!

My boyfriend and I planned on staying at this hotel for two night initially. We ended up loving Praug and were very comfortable with our room. We extended our hotel room for another two nights. We would absolutely stay here again if we were to come back to Praug. The breakfast was nice and diverse with excellent coffee and cocoa on the side.

Business trip. Had some time to check Prague. Great clean hotel, the best thing was the Feeling; noble, old, in this hotel. Uphill, walking distance to City or by tram 22. Fast, friendly hotelcrew. Good Breakfast. One could buy tramticket/daypass at the reception; same price. Wifi about 2mb/s strong stable signal in room and elsewhere. Will definitively book again.

Breakfast was well laid and plenty to go round for seconds very generous. Staff were helpful and always ready to please.

Great Service!

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. The reception team is amazing. Everyone was so welcoming and helping. Especially a woman called Karolina. She helped us with everything and gave a lot of effort to make us satisfied guests. She works with her heart and soul and the guests can feel that she loves her work. Thank you Karolina:) The room was clean and we were happy to come back to the hotel every evening. The location is very good, just in front of a Tram station that takes you very close to the old town,to a Metro station and the river. We would love to visit this hotel again!Just bwcause of the service!

Cute Hotel near Prague CAstle

The hotel is on the Tram 22 line and is an older & structurally interesting building. The facilities are very nice and clean. I really liked this hotel for its atmosphere. Its located walking distance from the Prague Castle (Hrad) and cathedral. My room, though small by American standards, was cute and had a window that had a view of the Castle and grounds. The heated floor in the bathroom was greatly appreciated on the cold mornings. The breakfast was very good and varied. I will stay here again.

Great Location. 5-10 min to Prague Castle. From there another 15-20 min to the city centre. Clean room. Parking available at back of hotel. Most attractions are fairly downhill from the hotel, which may pose problems for elderly people. However ttam station across the street to help with this.

Old world charm Hotel in the City-Countryside

The hotel is located on the top of a hill at walking distance to near the Royal Palace. Though it is away from the main bustling hub of the main city, it is barely 6 minutes from the town below. There is a tram service exactly 20sec across the hotel which operated continuously at literally 5 minutes interval ...up and down the hill. I used to travel for dinner and lunch or for even smaller errands on this tram service. It is like having your private travel service from the hotel.

Coming back to the hotel,it is an excellent quiet place with old world charm. The room was clean and well maintained and with a comfortable bed. A coffee maker was optional and had to be paid for if required. Wifi was very good. It is a self service type of a hotel so expect limited service...though you do not need any. the area around the hotel is excellent, scenic with a great countryside sort of walkways. The reception was manned 24x7 and was helpful to whatever extent it could. Breakfast was OK but we preferred to head down in 6 minutes for a great range of restaurant. Recommened this hotel for people who like to be away from the noise and bustle from the touristy area .

At the top of the hill by the castle. Fabulous views across city. You can walk up through the castle to the hotel or get tram 22 that stops outside. Great stay. Loved it. Highly recommended.

Turn right and then right out the hotel for half-mile walk to castle and lot of restaurants and cafes with great food. Some also offer the view over the city as well.

As previous reviews stated the tram station right outside is very comfortable. The staff at the front desk and breakfast are nice and helpful, helped us get a return taxi with AAA's discount, and fill a water bottle every morning. The rooms are a bit smaller than the photos as I recall, but still OK for Europe. Also the bath lacks a shower curtain, a bit not comfortable but not a deal breaker.

My arrival was later than expected and he was accommodating, even to the point to smile and say, \"we have the best room for you, with the nicest view!\" And he wasn't kidding, outside the window of my room was the view of the Prague Castle. This hotel has been my favorite during my month stay in Prague. It is located right next to the castle and right off a metro 22 that takes you to the old town center in just 10-15 minutes. The benefit of the location is it is more in nature and on the hill so it is far from the hustle and bustle of the tourists. The breakfasts were great and the staff was so helpful. It would be nice if a tea kettle was provided, but for the price and value it makes sense. It was really quiet and the bed was super comfortable and modern unlike a lot of other hotels in Prague. I really had a great stay here.

I'm very pleased with the hotel. Good value for the money. Just few minutes walk from Hradcany castle and 20 mins from the Karl's Bridge and the walk is a real pleasure (beautiful old streets). The breakfast was good as well, good choice of different foods with no limit.

Hotel is clean, good rates, excellent location at the Caste area. BUT, employees are not nice, extra (expensive) charge for parking (300CZK) and overall looks different than on pictures. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, but average 2-3 star.

Hotel is surrounded by greenery and one tram stop away from Prague castle (the tram is right in front of the hotel). The area immediately next to hotel does not have much going on, however. The hotel is in older, well maintained building with high ceilings and has very nice buffet breakfast in the morning. During the day, however, it was hard to get a cup of coffee as part of the standard hotel service - the receptionist was kind enough to share a cup of instant coffee frmo her office.

Definitely a 4 star hotel!

I have been in Jeleni Dvur Hotel between 29.3 – 2.4 / 2013 for vacation with my wife.
Il make it easy:

Location: only 10 minutes walk from beautiful loreta neighborhood and its lovely alleys, only 15 m walk to nerudova street an 20 m to city center. The walk is in very nice streets. A tram station at the door step of the hotel that connect u easy to city center 24-7.

Hotel: cleen, quiet, big room (without asking for it), well hit 24-7 , good billding so there is no outside noise, Well-maintained like a 4 star even chocolate on our Pillows.

Service: amazing! That’s the most important thing I think. They helped us at any time with every question, and we had a lot, and even when my wife iphone got stolen (yes beware), they call to chek with the restaurant if its there.

Price: very good value!

Bottom line: u know when u fantasize that if u get rich u stay at nice 5 star hotel? I think that in prauge even when im rich, il stay in jelleni dvur.
Y not 5? Beacose the shower had was stady 

I had a really great experience at this hotel. They were very respectful and extremely helpful. The front desk (Martin I believe his name was) answered all of our questions and helped us with deciding plans for each day and directions to get there. The room was decently spacious, the bed very comfortabe, and it was great to have reliable internet service for free. There was always more than enough amount and options for breakfast. It is also extremely close walking to the Castle and Lesser Town, and very convenient public transport to the city center right in front. Overall I have no complaints and truly enjoyed my stay at Jeleni Dvur and 100% happy with my decision to stay here. Definitely would do it again!

Great security - they had to buzz you in after hours. You had to pay to use the computer and the WiFi did not work in our room - only in the reception area. Across the street from a common tram stop but a bit of a hike to the castle and more so to the rest of town - get the tram pass! Great breakfast - the typical meat/cheese/bread/pickle/cereal fare but also with hot meat/potatoe/pasta dishes, horseradish and pastries.

Went hear with my boyfriend to celebrate my 24th Birthday. Temperatures outside were approx 36 degrees, yet there was no AC in our room. Way too hot.

Although we requested a double bed, we were given two singles; not ideal.

Upon our arrival, the lady at the reception desk was very rude, and came across as quite cold, and not very helpful.

Prague is a lovely city, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Just don't stay at this hotel!

Convenient location near Prague Castle, tram 22 to city centre opposite hotel. Lovely walk downhill to Charles Bridge. My room was excellent, friends' was rather poky. Tea and coffee making facilities available for a fee. Breakfast OK.
No bar, or meeting area (just two chairs in reception) but bottled drinks can be purchased from reception.

Firstly, the ladies at the reception were very sweet and helpful, always willing to answer our questions and give us useful information. The room was fine, warm and spacious and there were heated floor tiles in the bathroom, which I really liked. Breakfast was satisfactory. Also the rooms at the back of the hotel have a great view to the area near the castle. As for the location, it's a 10 minute walk to Charle's bridge which is the city-centre and you can use the tram as there is a tram stop just outside the hotel.

Only shortcoming was lack of tea/coffee making facilities. Great place, straight on the best tram line in Prague. You will need to buy tram tickets beforehand as the hotel had none left for sale.

Calm refuge from the city bustle

My friend and I were very satisfied and pleasantly surprised by this hotel given the price. It is a ten minute walk from the Castle and only a few stops by Tram 22 from Charles Bridge and the Old City (Stare Mesto). The tram runs every four minutes so it was very convenient. There is a nice selection of food to choose from each morning in the included breakfast--which exceeded our expectations.
I took the advice of one of the other commenters and chose a room in the back and it was very quiet.

We would come back to the Jeleni Dvur Hotel because we found it to be a charming comfortable hotel, away from the crowds but with convenient access to the airport, castle and tram lines directly to the old town. When we arrived in Prague, we caught bus 179, and then tram 22 which took us directly to the Brunice stop in front of Jeleni Dvur. The staff were welcoming and pleasant, and we found our room to be of comfortable size with a nice view of the castle and the feilds/gardens surrounding it. We enjoyed walking on the castle grounds in the morning and evening when there weren't crowds. We could easily walk down the steps from there into the old city, and then take tram 22 back up to the hotel when we were ready to go home. I particularily liked the bath tub, which was large, clean, and perfect for a good soak after walking all day on cobblestones.

A Bit Disappointing

The Jeleni Dvur looked like a nice hotel when we made the reservation. The location was actually quite good because it was close to the tram line, Prague Castle and the Strahov Monastery. Despite the tram being right outside, it was relatively quiet. But in other ways, it was a big disappointment. All the hallway lights were set on times and, if you didn't move right or the elevator didn't come right away, you were left in the dark. The first thing you see in the welcome information in the room is a list of charges for things you might break, accidently damage, etc. It was a list of about 40 items that really made you wonder if they were just going to look for something to charge you for. I noticed several bleach spots on the green carpeting so thought I should make note of it to the front desk, but they seemed quite unconcerned. Later it was disappointing to see holes in both the sheets and towels in our room. Since the hotel is part of a chain (with the chain name on the towels) we kind of wondered if this hotel just got all the rag tag stuff not good enough for other places. It was disappointing nonetheless. We also did wonder a bit about security in the neighborhood, since you had to ring a bell to get in the outside door and there really weren't any other building entrances around. We also asked if we could get ice one night, but were told it wasn't available because the kitchen was only open for breakfast. That had been true at the other hotel we stayed at, but they were able to get ice for us regardless. We also found the plastic mattress pad on the bed uncomfortable, although the bed itself wasn't bad. All in all, it seemed like a hotel just waiting for guests to misbehave or something bad to happen.

Top of the hill right next to the castle.

We were very happy with the hotel. The staff was very helpful planning itineraries. From the hotel it is a downhill walk to the castle and from there to the rest of Prague. If you don't want to walk, the tram stop is right in front of the hotel and takes you directly to the shops and restaurants by Charles' Bridge. A wonderful breakfast is provided with cold cuts, eggs, yogurt, cereal and a hot main course. The only negative was that the restaurant was breakfast only. The nearest restaurant is two blocks away.
Although the hotel is on the tram line, you are right next door to the castle gardens, so it is really a park like setting. Very quiet and relaxing. If you've come for the night life, though, this isn't the place.

The hotel is nice and clean, with a beautiful view of the Castle and Loretta Church. The staff is pleasant. The tram stops in front of the hotel, the ride takes 10 minutes to the center of Prague.

Some concerns

We had three rooms booked at this hotel and although two of them were perfectly ok the third (Room 107) was so hot that we had to sleep with our windows wide ope and without any bedcovers over my us. Although we told the people in reception they were not very helpful and did nothing to correct this. Other than that this hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of the castle and with the tram right outside very easy to access the main town across the river. The breakfast was very basic and with not a great deal of choice. It would have been nice to have had some hot eggs of some kind.

A very pleasant experience!!!

This hotel was a great choice. It was \"as advertised\" and more which was a pleasant surprise. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great and catered for everyone, North Americans and Europeans, Staff solved problems quickly. Location close to the castle, trams outside the front door.

For this price it is really one of the best hotel in Prague. Great location. Kindly stuff(speaks English,Russian,Ukrainian). Good breakfast. Few stops on tram to Karlov bridge. One minus - there is no refrigirator in room... Everything is new inside... Really stylish decor... Close to airport.

Great Location, Great staff

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved our stay. The staff spoke great English and were very helpful with all our questions about the city. The Tram stops right in front of the hotel. I think the rate was very good because it is technically just outside of all the action, but when I say just outside, I mean just outside. It is a 5 minute walk to Prague castle and 10 minutes to Charles bridge. Something to consider- it was cold so we walked fast. :)
The hotel has red carpeted spiraling staircases, if you don't want to use the elevator. Very romantic. Our room even had a view of the castle, though I know that not all rooms did. the beds were comfortable.
The soap they provide comes in a bulk dispenser, for the sink and the shower. I believe it is for hair and body. It worked great for washing my body and hair, but I was so glad to have brought my own conditioner. They don't provide that.

Overall this is a great hotel. It is in a very convenient location, and tram 22 stops right at the front of the hotel. The staff spoke good English and was very helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast was very good, and quite extensive. The only con was that there is no shower, just a tub with a handheld and no curtain. But the tile floors were heated, so that was a nice perk. A little noisy with the tram and traffic right outside, but nothing that should keep someone awake. I would stay here again for the price, location, and staff.

Good hotel for 3 1/2 stars, good price (hotel + airfare package from Expedia, especially with the favorable USD/Euro rate), great location for public transportation to the main attractions of Prague: tram 22 stops in front. Easy commute from the airport: bus 179 then tram 22. Breakfast was OK, not bad, not great. Beautiful city.

The person at the front desk was very slow in checking people in and out, but was friendly and helpful. The shower door in our room was broken. The location is walking distance to Prague Castle, and there is a tram stop just outside the hotel.

Good location near the castle

This hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from Prague Castle, an ideal location, although there are steep steps to negotiate when coming back from the old town! We enjoyed being out of the bustle but were just 10 mins walk from the Charles Bridge. In all honesty we didn't use the trams at all but they ran from just opposite the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was perfectly adequate. We were at the front of the hotel so there was some traffic noise during the morning rush hour, but this is only to be expected when staying in a city!! The back rooms overlooked a park which may have been quieter. The breakfast was a decent sized buffet with both hot and cold options. If we went back to Prague I would be perfectly happy to stay at Jeleni Dvur again.

Excellent Hotel

This hotel made a great visit to Prague even better! Upon arrival the very friendly staff enabled us to have a quick check-in. The room was a very good size, clean and had everything we wanted. The breakfast was good quality and plentiful. This hotel is very easy to find and has a tram stop at the front door which runs until midnight. We preferred walking and were 5 minutes from the castle which was excellent. The only very slight downside was that we had a room by the road which was a little noisy - did not worry us as heavy sleepers but otherwise make a request to be elsewhere in the hotel!If you don't ant to be in the tourist centre and want a bit more of real prague then this hotel is great! Also near lots of bars and restaurants.

Hotellet har en fin beliggenhed og på 2 km er du på Karlsbroen. Men hotellet er mega slidt og ikke lige rent alle steder. Det første værelse vi fik lugtede meget gammelt. Fik et andet mod gården som var bedre. Morgenmaden er maksimalt middel, men de gør alt hvad de kan.
Hotellet har simpelthen været nyt for længe
