Amazing little hotel in Mala Strana- easy to get to Lennon wall, lovers bridge,
Charles bridge and old town, Prague castle, and many excellent restaurants. The front desk attendant was charming and helped us right to our room. The Venus apt (12) was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view of the square. The only thing that I misunderstood from the description is that I thought we had our own private courtyard and that is not the case. Many of the other rooms did have balconies with a small table and 2 folding chairs. The restaurant within the hotel (Mondieu) was excellent with fast service. We would def come here again- we loved it.

What an incredible stay at the Old Royal Post! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms are stunning — they actually look better in person than in the photos, which is a rare and wonderful surprise.
The location is simply amazing, perfectly placed to explore everything Prague has to offer.
But what truly made our stay special was the entire team. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and a special mention to Teresa at check-in, whose warmth and friendliness set the tone for a perfect visit. It’s clear this crew takes real pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.
If you’re visiting Prague, look no further — the Old Royal Post is a must. We’ll absolutely be back!

'Executive suite with castle view'

Great location. Easy to walk around Prague from here. Very clean & comfortable. Lots of restaurants nearby. There is a lift to the 3rd floor & then stairs up to the suite (be careful not to miss the bottom step coming down!)

Note: the only view of the castle is from the upper window, all other windows look over rooftops. The outdoor space is surrounded by walls & no 'view'. If you are looking for a view, this is not the room for you.

Also, being in the roof, there are sloping ceilings everywhere which may be an issue for some people.

Staff were amazing while we did not eat in the hotel itself that around the area there are loads of great places to eat.

The room we had was good although it could have done with a little dusting under the bed and around the windows. But overall the stay was more then comfortable. Our room also had a microwave, and washing machine - not what we expected but came in handy.

Location is great, stones throw from many places with a max walk of 30mins.. but definitely worth walking as there is so much to see.

10/10 wouldn’t change a thing. We had so much space. The kitchen was well-appointed and had high-end appliances. I wish we were staying longer and had opportunity to take advantage. The beds were comfortable, everything was so clean. The cage downstairs had a great breakfast (not included.) The location was to die for - quiet little circle in a quintessential charming euro neighborhood, steps from shopping, dining, and the bridge. I can’t wait to stay here again!

We would highly recommend this quaint hotel in Prague. Our hotel room was an efficiency apartment with kitchen and balcony. Kitchen had stove, fridge, dishwasher and a washing machine. We had a very comfortable king size bed with nice pillows. Big television and even a sofa. Shower was nice and large. We had taken the train in from Vienna to Prague. Had an easy access to a tram, which dropped us off about less than five minute walk to the hotel. What we really liked about this property was the location. It was tucked away from the busy streets, yet it walking distance to Charles Bridge and other sites that you want to see in Prague. If you would rather not walk, trams were easily available. Restaurants and some shopping were plenty at this location. We really enjoyed our stay and if we get a chance to go back we would stay at the Old Royal Post Boutique Hotel again.

I visit Prague few times a year and we alway stay at Old Royal Post.
We've made mistakes in the past and booked hotels that posted nice pictures online but looked nothing like advertising (some hotel have anex buildings). Old royal post is my choice everytime I am in Prague!
I've booked 1 room, 2 room suite and even loft with a balcony throughoutgew years. All rooms were beautifully decorated, unique, clean and comfortable.
Location is great, Charles Bridge right around the corner, tram stations, shops near by. Lots of dining options around as well. Vertba garden near by (must see if you into gardening).
During hot summer week it was great to have AC units in both rooms.
All rooms have small kitchen area, great if you travel with kids.
Staff is always very sweet and helpful.
Can't wait to come back again!

There is a restaurant attached to the hotel called “Mon dieu”, which is delicious, and has an open air courtyard patio garden for dining within the hotel. The hotel is very well located (a block away from the Charles Bridge and various main tram lines.) We can’t say enough good things about this place. We recommend staying here and will definitely come back.

First the many, many pluses--location, location, location! This hotel is so close to the attractions (Charles bridge--2 min. walk, Prague castle-10 min.walk, Petrin, Astronomical Clocktower) but on a quiet side street which is LOVELY. The hotel rooms are beautiful, everything feels fresh, new, excellent beds/mattresses to sleep on. Our apartment even had a washing machine. The staff is lovely and helpful. The Mondieu restaurant right next doors is excellent and it feels like part of the hotel which makes for easy food options. Close by is a grocery store too. You have to walk to the Petrin rozhledna when you come--it's a bit of a hike but the view is phenomenal!

The single issue is the AC. It works fine but makes pretty bad noise every few minutes, making it a bit unenjoyable to relax. We were told this only affects three apartments so if you are booking a single room, it would not be an issue. In sum, we would 100% stay again, just not in #26 and the other two apartments where this is an issue.

We had a mix-up about booking airport transport, so it didn't get arranged as I thought, which wasn't good, given that we landed near midnight. Regardless, getting an Uber at the airport is easy enough and quite safe.

This is an amazing hotel. We had a great room on the third floor, great location near the main tourist spot to easily see the river and cross the bridge into the old town. The room has a small kitchen. If you intend to cook often/big meals and have more than two people in there at a time, then it would feel tight, but for us, it was more than good enough.

We didn't eat at the restaurant, but I am sure, like most places in Prague, the food quality and standard are generally very good and good value for money (in comparison to London, where we live).

As we have kids, we were offered a PlayStation 5 to set up and keep them entertained.

This was our third year staying at The Old Royal Post Hotel, and we’ve always loved it. Unfortunately, our last visit in July wasn’t up to the standard we’ve come to expect. The AC in our room had issues, and there was very loud noise coming from across the wall during the early morning hours.

We mentioned it to the gentleman at the front desk, but he seemed dismissive and uninterested in addressing our concerns.

Additionally, our room was on the ground floor facing the restaurant patio, making it impossible to open the blinds for any natural light or privacy, as guests could see directly inside. Honestly, this room shouldn’t be offered for rental in its current setup.

As much as we’ve enjoyed this hotel in the past, we may consider a different option next year.

This hotel was a work of art! We were stunned by the beautiful and fancy decor in our “Venus” room. This hotel was luxurious, yet very affordable. Beautiful amenities with a kitchen, 1 1:3 bathrooms, family & dining area, & kitchen. It was located in the perfect spot near the Charles Bridge to walk to old Town, the river, or the castle. It was near chopping and restaurants. In all my traveling around the world, I have never seated any that was decorated so cool and beautifully. We loved our stay and the city!

I absolutely loved this hotel. Front desk gentleman was helpful with advice on things to do. Our room was super clean, spacious, well equipped and had plenty of room for my husband and I and our two teenagers. Wonderful linens on a comfortable bed and air conditioning! Washer in room was so helpful as well as a small kitchen, Nespresso machine and refrigerator. The balcony was a great option to get fresh air and have a glass of wine.
Around the corner is a grocery store we used to grab breakfast each morning. Great location, close to Charles Bridge and the palace. Can’t wait to go back!

Where to start? My wife and I agreed this may very well be one of the best places we’ve stayed at. The Old Royal Post Hotel offers an amazing price point for what you are getting. Our room was massive with vaulted ceilings, two toilets, very beautifully decorated and a super comfortable bed. Our first visit to Prague really came together well in part because of the amazing place we stayed at. We loved the location. It was extremely walkable about 3 minutes from St. Charles bridge and about a 3 minute walk to tram lines and many amazing restaurants too. The staff were also so helpful and friendly. We had a small issue with the AirCons the last night there. I contacted the front desk and within minutes they responded and also had the AC fixed! Shout out to David for getting that fixed for us. One thing I should mention is there is a lift. But it only will go up to the third floor. Coming down I believe you have to get the elevator from the second floor. For us it was totally ok, a good way to burn off some of the beer, but anyone with mobility issues should keep this in mind. All in all, what an amazing stay! We would 100% stay here again when we visit Prague in the future!

We stayed at this property with another family, the staff was very accommodating. There’s a café on site, which was amazing.
This property is very clean one of the cutest boutique hotels I’ve stayed in
It is very walkable to all the attractions
I would definitely stay here again!

Location was perfect, minutes away from the Charles Bridge. Very spacious, clean and comfortable room. Loved the balcony. Kitchen was high end and, useful and seemed almost new. Lovely large shower. Bathroom spacious too. Already looking to stay again.

Best Service apartments in Prague. Excellent helpful staff. Helped arrange transport and sent a card wine and chocolates for my mom’s birthday. Elevator useful. Brill bag storage and check out facilities .. thank you we will be back

This hotel was well above expectation! The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen area was well stocked with coffee pods and basics. The bathroom was large with stocked amenities. The location was great with a short walk from the restaurant hub and the central bridge. There was no lift on our side of the building, meaning we did need to haul luggage up two flights of stairs, the room we were met with made it worth it!

Clean and modern hotel in the center of Prague. Friendly check in staff and rooms are very spacious for Europe Standards. Price is very reasonable. I definitely would come back and stay at Old Royal Post.
