This intimate luxury hotel is situated close to Charles Bridge and Kampa Island. Malostranská underground station is just a short walk from the hotel.
Completely renovated in 1991, the hotel offers a total of 27 rooms, which are spread over 3 floors. The hotel has a 24-hour reception with safe, a currency exchange desk, lifts, a bar, a restaurant with a non-smoking area, a garage and room and laundry services.
The pleasant rooms all have an en suite bathroom and come equipped with a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV and a safe. All rooms are carpeted and come with central heating as standard.

It is one of the most special and unique hotels I have ever stayed in.
The service from start to finish was phenomenal with great care and professionalism. Security is top notch and paramount here and no more than 2 minutes walk to Charles Bridge.
The breakfast is fantastic quality and the whole hotel both bedrooms and interior is again beyond immaculate. A very proud hotel and history is beautifully preserved.

4 starts hotel only in the realm of dreams.
Me and my partner stayed in the “best room in the hotel”, it is the one with the castle view, and granted, the view was great. All the rest however, left much to desire.
The entire room only had one socket working, all others were broken. The shower was so bad we resorted to having bucket adjacent showers in the bath and the bed was below comfortable. The day we arrived, the air conditioner was broken and had a bright light flashing throughout the day, we asked reception to turn it off, which was not done by the time we went to bed, which led to bad sleeping quality as it flashed quite brightly. The next day, they glued a piece of paper in front of the flashing light, that’s it.
When we brought the maintenance issues, sockets and shower, to the attention to the manager, highlighting that after looking at reviews there were similar complaints for over 2 years, he scoffed.
Additionally, do not expect even a nespresso in your room to be complimentary, it was €2.5 for a nespresso if you wanted one, which even Ibis budget gives you as a treat (and no milk around).
All in all, I would not recommend in the slightest, considering the price, you can get something significantly better.
Furthermore, because I did not find this information on their website, other than the very high fee for the room in comparison to the other hotels in Prague, the spa facilities are paid extra and is €40pp per hour.

Beautiful stay at the Hotel U Pava in Prague.
We loved our stay at U Pava. It was a 5 min walk to the Charles Bridge, and faced a quieter courtyard. The hotel was lovely and clean. Our room was large enough for a couple. The bathroom was in good shape, with just minor repair needed on the door to the bathroom. It dared from 1600's, and was well kept for such an age. Breakfast was outstanding, with eggs, fruit meats, cheeses and small pastries.
The only thing i would mention is that you must be able to manage narrow stairs with your luggage. We were on the 3rd floor.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful - old-school charm in a fabulous location! You are less than 5 minutes’ walk from Charles Bridge, with excellent restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself is lovely; we booked a suite, which had an amazing view of Prague Castle. Rooms also have aircon, which was very welcome!
Breakfast is great - there’s a good selection of hot and cold food, choice of pastries, fruits etc.

Great boutique hotel right in the heart of Lesser Town Prague. Close to the trams and metro, walkable to pretty much everything in the historic centre of the city and easily connected to the rest. Staff were very friendly. Daily breakfast was hearty. Quite happy with the room - I think we got the only room with a balcony! Would definitely stay here again

This is the third time I have stayed her and it is always brilliant. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the rooms are unique and the location is only 100 metres from the Charles Bridge and within walking distance of the Old Town and the Castle. A fantastic place to stay.

The hotel was amazing. The real stars sign at the front counter - nothing was too much trouble. They worked hard to make sure that our stay was a great one. Highly recommend. If you need a lift, make sure you ask for a room with access to the lifts! Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful old hotel, with incredible original architecture, but comfortable, modern beds. Breakfast was rather limited, but tasty, and breakfast room staff were lovely. Unfortunately, the bathtub shower didn't have a curtain and only had a very small portion of glass door so the floor was covered in water after every shower.
Location cannot get better as it's a short walk to the Charles Bridge, but on a more quiet street.

Our stay at U Pava in late November was excellent in every respect. Super-helpful staff - especially Jana, who provided great assistance in dealing with COVID testing. Very clean, lots of character, quiet area, fantastic location about 3 minutes from Charles Bridge. The breakfast is extensive and good. Our room had a view of the Prague Castle, which was magical. 100% recommended.

A great base for a long weekend
Hotel is awesome and the interior of the hotel and our luxury room is truly beautiful. No plain looking room but as we wanted authentic decor. Service from the staff was very good and we would recommend the taxi service they offer to the airport. Breakfast is very good with lots of choice and the location is nothing short of perfect. We were there so we could go to a concert which got postponed but on the positive we have a good excuse to come back to this great hotel. Very recommended and surprisingly good value.

Very happy with our two-night stay! Staff are all friendly and helpful, room is clean, breakfast is tasty and good enough variety. We needed to leave hotel to catch the bus to CK before their regular breakfast time, they had the breakfast ready for us and helped us pack the food. The location is superb! You can see the Charles Bridge just outside the hotel. Few minutes from the metro station that can take you to and from the airport, tram stations can take you to other parts of the city such as to the bus station to CK. Most of the attractions are within walking distance.

The location was fantastic, right beside Charles bridge . We went around all the side streets and saw a new side of Prague which was off the beaten track. We were also right beside the river so we also did a boat trip .

Hotel is located almost at the footsteps of Charles Bridge which is amazing. A bit outdated - heavy keys to the rooms and no parking! If you plan to visit Prague by car and stay in this hotel, inform them in advance as they have only 3 places available and one of them is taken by the owner!!! This was a minus of this hotel.

Beautiful Hotel, Safe and In a Great Location
The Hotel U Pava is a gem. It's very charming, beautifully unique and clean. It's close to many restaurants, bars, Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge, but far enough so that you can have a peaceful and quite stay. The staff was amazing! They were always friendly and accommodating to our changing needs. They were even able to book a day tour for us (after the tour I booked was canceled). The free breakfast buffet was a great way to start our day and was always fresh. We will definitely be back!

The hotel u Páva was a nice place to stay, and convenient to walk everywhere! The room was really neat and had a comfortable bed. One thing worth mentioning is that the support staff (not the front desk staff) lacked the congenial demeanor one usually comes across in hotels. At breakfast one morning one of the staff ladies caused a scene, just shy of yelling, because my husband put the tongs on a plate outside the food, instead of inside the buffet container. She even went and got the front desk staff to continue her upset rant...

The location and decor of the hotel was very nice. It would have been helpful to know that the elevator was not available for all rooms. My husband is a disabled vet with respiratory issues and I am having back surgery in2 weeks. This was definitely difficult on both of us.

This place is the bees knees!! A stunningly beautiful building which is in a perfect location. The U Pava sits literally a minute's walk from the castle side of the Charles Bridge and is on a quiet side road with almost no traffic passing. We asked for a room with a view and were presented with a view to die for looking out towards the castle and St Vitus cathedral on the hill. The room was gorgeous despite being one of the more budget sized ones. The ceilings is darkly panelled and beautiful heavy curtains framed the stained glass view. The beds were super comfy very clean with nice bouncy pillows. Breakfast was delicious - only a small buffet affair but delicious and very fresh. The bread was lovely and the selection of pastries and fresh fruit ideal to start our day. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really didn't want to leave.

The hotel is in a great location for access to the bridge and has a great view of the castle. Our only real complaint was parking. There really isn’t much information put out. The hotel has one or two spots that you must reserve in advance and pay for...didn’t know this before traveling. Nearest parking garage is 5 minutes away on opposite side of river, at a cost of 25€, 16€ for the spot in front of hotel, if available. Highly encourage train travel, as you will not really need your car in town. Breakfast was pretty good. But the view is the real asset.

The hotel is situated in the old town and it’s the best place to stay so convient I highly recommend. Only down side was we did find bed bugs, I got a few bites on my face but other than that we had a lovely time.

Noble building needs twentieth century amenities
The gracious old hotel has 27 rooms. We stayed in the modernised part of the hotel on the 3rd floor with a quaint little window in the eaves overlooking the castle. It is just perfectly located and reception staff were lovely. Bed: spring and button mattress no mattress protector. Not lovely. Not hygienic. Helpful staff provided a duvet to put underneath the bottom sheet which softened the lie. Shower head over bath not usable at all. Close to everything.

This hotel was in the perfect location! We were a short 5 minute (or less) walk to the St. Charles bridge. So we could easily walk over to Old Town. It was maybe a 15 minute walk to the Old Town Square. It was also a short walk to the Prague Castle, so again the best location. The staff was incredible, both friendly and helpful. I don't really have any complaints about the hotel, more so some areas I thought were lacking. This hotel was the fourth hotel we stayed at during our two week trip in Europe and out of all the hotels, the Breakfast at U Pava was our least favorite. Also, the side of the hotel our room was on did not have an elevator, and our room was on the third floor. My significant other an I are very fit (maybe this is why they felt they could place our room they way they did), and had no problem with the stairs, but being out and about in the city walking all day and having to climb the 3 flights of winding stairs, became a bit tiring. Also bringing our luggage up and down was annoying. However, I would absolutely stay again, due to the location and staff. (I would maybe ask for a lower floor in the future).

Our room (205) was sumptuous. We had an amazing view of Prague Castle and a view of the little park in front of the hotel. The mattress was like sleeping on a cloud it was so soft. If you prefer a firm mattress this may not be the hotel for you but the only trouble I had was forcing my self to get out of bed in the morning, although the excellent breakfast made this a little easier. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is superb. Just a few metres from Charles Bridge and about 2 minutes from the tram and metro. There is a good choice of restaurants and bars nearby too. I look forward to staying here again.

There are many restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars, etc. in all price ranges very near by. Our room was clean, bed extremely comfortable, plenty of storage for our belongings, the WiFi excellent and we never heard our neighbors through the walls! The European buffet breakfast was very nice, offering many choices to get you on your way for the day. The knowledgeable front desk offers 24 hour service. The breakfast was so good, too! We only stayed one night since we decided to add an additional day in Prague at shorter notice, there wasn’t a ton of availability in the area. We found the rooms dark and the decor dark. It looks super cool in pictures but missing the adequate lighting made it more difficult for these 50 year old eyes.
Warning. Because this hotel requires a “card” for the electricity to work in the room, things didn’t charge while we were away and the refrigerator didn’t keep things cold as it was mostly “off” while we were away. We tried to leave the card in the holder while we were away but the staff removed the card (even tho we weren’t careful to turn off the air conditioning and all the lights when we left so the only thing that’s would be running isnthe mini-fridge).
If you don’t need really bright rooms to feel comfortable and/or you do not have a need for a mini-fridge, then this place is great.
