As a first time traveler to Prague- I couldn’t have asked for more! The hotel was in a great area: close to area attractions, beautiful setting, and quaint. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and even though the noise from the street could be heard at times, it wasn’t terrible. If I ever get the opportunity to come back- I will definitely stay here again. Truly was an amazing trip!!

Amazing - perfect stay in a GREAT location
Wow, wow, wow!! Fantastic location with an amazing view of the Charles Bridge. Right along the river, so it is convenient to everything. The staff is outstanding - so friendly and helpful, even when I locked my keycard in my room after reception hours were finished (embarrassing!) Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The property is an older building, so the rooms have a lot of character. Mine was a single room on the 3rd floor that was roomy, bright, clean and charming. I loved it and didn't want to go back home :-) The next time I go to Prague, I will definitely stay here! Thank you so much (Dekuji mockrat!) to everyone at Hotel Certovka for a great stay in the most beautiful city in the world!!

Hotel is in perfect location, it is clean and quiet. The staff were very nice to us allowing for an early check-in. On the day we checked out the hotel arranged our airport transfer and also put together a take away breakfast for us as it was very early in the morning. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

A modest traditional looking hotel with an incredible location at the western end of Charles Bridge, on a canal.. Despite its proximity to the passing crowds I was never disturbed by noise from outside. The included buffet breakfast was OK. The single room was very clean, well heated, and fine for one person, however the shower was quite small. Coffee/tea is banned in rooms, but they are available most of the day and night downstairs. Helpful assistance and advice at the reception desk if you ask. For value and location this is a great place to stay if you don't mind an older style small hotel.

Good location nearby Malostranska Square. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had to leave before breakfast and the staff was very nice to prepare a bag of food to take with us for our very early am flight. Our room was very nice!

We stayed in a corner room with a view of Charles Bridge . The hotel is just a step from the bridge, short walk to the old town main square. Couldn’t ask for better location. A buffet breakfast was included in the price and the scrambled eggs were the best we ever had. I highly recommend Hotel Certovka to everyone.

Location was good, walkable to old town, Prague Castle and other interesting sights. The surroundings including the hotel, which is located under the Charles bridge are picturesque. The Hotel Certvoka is next to the Charles bridge and the area is full of exquisite buildings, monuments and parks along the river; the place is nice and clean, and the breakfast that was included was delicious with a great variety of meals to start your busy day in Prague. I recommend this hotel.

I love that Hotel Certovka is a small property, has a super terrific staff, delicious breakfast, situated right next to Charles Bridge. I stayed in Room 21, from which I sat at the window and watched the crowds of locals and visitors stroll by while listening to the humming of the boat motors as they cruise up and down the canal below.

I booked this hotel for my wife to celebrate her birthday during 4 days in her favourite city (Prague). So, next is what she experiences with hotel Certovka staying:
Unfortunately it was the worst customer service I’ve ever received! The old lady (I guess her name is Evelyn) at the reception desk was so rude and unresponsive for any reason! The sink in my room was plugged up and I complained about it to receptionist on my very first day of staying. The next day it wasn’t fixed and I went to reception and asked nicely about it again, but instead of apology she says (with attitude) that she was in my room and checked it out personally and found nothing wrong with it!?! I have a proof of that sink working improperly and I never asked her for anything else (like my money back or change the room) then I don’t see any reason to be so rude to me, especially on my birthday. Same rude respond I got from her for all my questions regarding the night check out (when nobody/receptionist is there, which is so inconvenient for every customer I spoke to over there) and breakfast to go - she’s basically said that it’s my problems!?!… The only one good thing about this place is its location, but everything else is just not really good. The hotel room was outdated, the shower was so small and not really clean (with no shampoo provided), the room a/c has only cold air mode, the power outlets was so far from the bed and there were just 2 of them.
So based on that I wish we should have refund.

The property is walking distance to everything and is in a very hip and vibrant area. The rooms vary in size so make sure you pick a large one if you need space. The staff was helpful and the breakfast omelettes were tasty.

Only real negative comment is in regards to the wi-fi. It was terrible. No coverage in the room. You had to go down to the lobby in order to get any Internet. Would stay here again based on everything else.

Room rates were very reasonable too. We took advantage of their \"arranging a pickup at the airport\". For 30 Euro, there was a taxi driver waiting for us at the Prague airport to take us to the Certovka, a blessing at the end of a long flight.

It was everything it claims to be. Room was clean and fabulous. Location perfect. Andrew at front desk awesome. Breakfast more than I expected. Not plannning on going back to Prague anytime soon (though it was fabulous), but wish there was a Certovka in every European city...we would stay there! BTW, I am skeptical traveler who rarely writes reviews, but this place blew away all of our other European hotels. If you are visiting Prague, stay here.

We stayed in Room 1 (of 16). It is in the basement and has little internet unless you sit next to the door or outside in the hall. It also has the world’s smallest shower. This was disappointing but otherwise the hotel is in a great location in the Little Quarter. The breakfast (included) is ok with a hot option - eg Ham and Eggs.

Had a bright “double room” facing the castle, such a lovely view. Did miss having in-room amenities for tea / coffee. My colleague was not as pleased as he had a very small attic room and said the wifi up there was slow. I had no issues with wifi and thought the hotel was great value!

Perfect location for a Prague vacation
Great location! Love it that breakfast is included. Nice spacious room - #3 downstairs with a view of the canal. The only drawback was that we ordered a ride from train station to the hotel, and they didn't come Called hotel and they supposedly sent another driver. We waited an hour, and no one showed up holding a sign with our name. A bit frustrating but must have been a misunderstanding. Our transfer from the hotel to the airport was right on time and worked out great.

Perfect location with friendly staff
The location of this hotel couldn't be better. It's right at the base of the St. Charles bridge and next to the river. You're steps away from all of the action at the bridge or across at Old Town Square without feeling crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and orderly. The bathrooms even have bathtubs! The only downside is while the breakfast is terrific, it's the only restaurant in the hotel and closes at 10. Therefore, there is no opportunity for any food, drink or even ice after 10 am.

Wonderful location in the \"Little Quarter,\" a stone's throw from the western end of the Charles Bridge. The air conditioning was very good (and we needed it!), and the wi-fi and breakfast were also very good. We did not have a car, but beware if you do, because parking will be a problem. The hotel was quiet and clean, not too big or too small. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel looks amazing and the view to the bridge well worths the sacrifice of a really, really small room in the third floor. The room was clean but when I arrived it was smelly because of the drainage, it was quickly fixed though, and the smell never appeared again. The place for shower was extremely small, I'm not even average tall and I hit my head twice with the roof because of the roof tilt. The room also had some details (not minor) like battered door panels and furnitures. Also, the bed was besides a pile/column which made the room even smaller. The service was great all the time. I'd book again, but probably a room with double bed to avoid the tiny space.

What a lovely hotel! It's right next to the Charles Bridge and a few minutes walk away from lots of restaurants and bars, yet it's very quiet. My room was very comfortable, and despite previous reviews noting the small shower, I found it plenty big enough. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the free breakfast was a real bonus - lots of choice and totally delicious.

We stayed here during the week for 3 nights. Amazing service by reception and very clean and comfortable. Our room windows were facing Charles bridge.we could enjoy watching people happily walking the bridge and taking pictures.Breakfast had a lot of varieties,freshly cooked omlette of our choice were just delicious.very helpful English speaking staff. We came by bus from nuemberg and cost us just €2 in total to take two metro trains from Florence and reached hotel in 15 minutes. Overall we will give this hotel 4.75*.

The Certovka lived up to it's many wonderful reviews. Nestled at the foot of the Charles Bridge alongside the Certovka canal this hotel is perfect for experiencing the beauty and diversity of Prague. This is our second stay at this hotel, which is automatically an endorsement. The location is great: right under the Charles Bridge, is steps from Kampa Island,views of the river or the castle. Everything you want is an easy walk away. The hotel itself has a feeling of authenticity. An early morning walk around the neighborhood was filled with charming scents of cookies baking, children arriving at a preschool, shopkeepers going about the business of opening up for the day. Just don't count on any luxurious extras: there is no bellman, the staff speaks little English, each guest gets one little threadbare towel...you are pretty much on your own. The hotel offered to have a driver pick us up at the airport. No one came. It's a good choice, as long as you manage your expectations.

I got a great room view of the Charles bridge towers on Mala Strana side. Htl Certovka has an excellent location for a Prague tourist base. The Breakfast is wonderful. The youngest male receptionist of the 3 I saw during the day is very efficient, most informative & concise re public transport routes to tourist sights. The room space is adequate including bathroom size. Very good hotel except for the ffg: squeaking old bed frame & very narrow & short old mattress that needs to be updated with space in room for 1 foot longer & wider bed frame-I'm only 5'2\" & I felt like I was going to fall off the bed; after checkin I found awful toilet stench & stuffy bedroom all resolved with openning windows & keeping toilet uncovered with the fan going 24hours; internet password should be posted in the room as I had to go down to get piece of paper from the receptionist on my late checkin; maid failed to fill liquid soap/shower gel/shampoo & empty facial tissue box on 5th-6th day of stay

Our stay in this hotel was amazing. The room we had was spacious and clean. The hotel is located below the Charles Bridge so it's pretty central. There's a little river beside it and we could see the boats passing by from our windows. The check-in was really quick and Honsa, the receptionist, was very clear and soft spoken. They offered good range of bfast and it was really excellent! All the staff were very kind to us. We had room #1 and there was no internet connection in our room so we usually stayed on the staircase outside to connect. The receptionist that was on that day was very apologetic about the situation and invited us to stay in the dining with tea/coffee while using the internet.

This place is in a great area, right by Charles bridge. There are so many things to do around here.
The shower however is really small and i'm not a big chap, but the biggest issue with this place is the wi-fi. Whilst we do not go on holiday to play on the internet, as a tourist in a non-english speaking country having the ability to research the night before or even that day would help a lot. I spent most my time having to find a coffee shop in order to do basic things like check the weather.

an excellent hotel in the perfect location
a charming hotel with a great staff. Breakfast was always good (excellent omelets) and sides plus a fine \"continental\" style buffet. The room was comfortable and clean and complete except for lack of a kettle but really good coffee/tea was always available in the breakfast room. The wifi was not great, not horrible, but great but that seems to be a city wide issue. The staff was very helpful and informative with local sites and eateries. The location (right at the west base of the Charles Bridge) was ideal for crossing to the old towne and up the hill to Prague Castle; with lots of nice shops, excellent foods and nice local beer. The airport shutter driver was charming and informative about the city with suggestions. The drive was quick, safe and very inexpensive (far below the price of the yellow cabs and much friendlier). Well worth the price to avoid public transportation and all arranged by the hotel. I will check availability here before shopping for anywhere else.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and were made to feel very welcome by the staff. Our room (19) was a good size, especially as it is in the centre of a city, although the bathroom was small (not really an issue though). I would highly recommend staying here if you are ever in Prague.

This hotel is in a great location right beside the Charles Bridge. It has an elevator and wifi and a lovely breakfast room with a good breakfast including a hot entree. There is no lobby to speak of, but they will store your baggage for you in a safe place. My only problem with this hotel is that the bathroom shower was so small that I couldn't that I couldn't turn around once the door was closed. It's a little corner shower that is smaller than even on budget cruise ships.

Hotel was perfectly situated to get to the key attractions by foot or mass transit. As an added bonus the room looked out over the St Charles bridge. Only down side was that I had to change rooms. There was a problem with the drain trap on the shower that resulted in a strong odor. I found running the shower at a slow trickle took care of the problem but that was not a permanent solution.

The hotel was small but quaint. For the price it is fantastic considering the location to Charles Bridge. I'd certainly recommend staying here. Only small issue was the wifi was a little spotty (had to check some work emails). If you are visiting Prague the wifi should be the last of your concerns.

Quite simply you will not find better quality, at a better location, for a better price, anywhere!Our Seven rooms are all beautifully appointed and all are en suite. All can be laid out as King size bed or two singles.
Some rooms have unique features such as stained glass windows, a terrace or ancient roof beams. We have our own transfer service from Prague airport or any railway station to our residence for very good price.
Return transfers are of course possible too.
