The first room was an insult! The second room was ok. We had stayed here before the place was renovated and they seem to have halved the rooms!
Staff not interested apart from the receptionist who sorted a different room for us.

Great hotel for family trips! Amazing breakfast, beautiful decoration and perfectly located in a park right across Old Town, by the famous Charles Bridge and the river. I traveled with wife and kids and they all loved it! We felt completely safe exploring everywhere and returning to the hotel at night time. Whenever we visit Prague, we always stay at this incredible hotel.

Beautiful old European Deco hotel. Excellent location, just about 100 meters south of the landmark-Charles Bridge, next to a river and located inside a local park! Excellent breakfast, work of art dining hall for breakfast. Room is clean, very comfy bed and pillow. Has a hot water kettle and complmentary coffe and tea :)

The property around hotel is not maintained very clean or serviced. Plus, so many hotel's residents are constantly smoking cigarettes or pat, which is not acceptable for **** Star Hotel property.Additinally, bike divers make constant noise during the day.

The hotel is ideally located and within walking distance of many attractions. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. No air conditioning but the hotel provided fans. There could be an improvement made to breakfast as it lacks variety but it is adequate. The outstanding member of staff would be Petr who runs the outside bar. Welcoming and friendly, we spent a lot more at the bar due to his engaging manner. Overall, it was a great stay and we will be back.

Very nice hotel with an excellent free breakfast that runs from 7 am to 11 am daily. The area is quiet as it is set back off the main street. The only thing that would have made the room better is air conditioning.

We didnt know what to expect based on the pictures but this was probably the best find. The hotel has lots of charm, comfy rooms, a super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the free breakfast was amazing! My stay at The Old Armoury Hotel was splendid.
The location is within walking distance for all the tourists attractions.
The staff were extremely friendly.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Only downside was rooms having no air conditioning.
The lobby and dinning room was wonderful with awesome medieval atmosphere.
The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered large variety of dishes to choose from.

I would recommend this hotel!

Such a pretty, authentic building. We stayed in a Royal Double - huge room!

Breakfast was fantastic - continental as well as hot food on offer. Great little bar to relax after a day's jaunt.

Minutes from Charles Bridge - with some Set-Jetting enroute (Mission Impossible scenes!).

Staff were wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel

All staff were fantastic, so kind and helpful. Gorgeous hotel and amazing buffet breakfast spread. Rooms were small but cosy, and we loved the added touch of the 'pillow menu'. Quiet, safe location - would definitely recommend for a chilled-out city break in Prague.

Good location, quiet , clean, great breakfast buffet. Good room price. Beds comfy. Bedroom decor is tired.
The hotel decor consists of visually unavoidable very bad reproductions of suits of armour, crossbows, over sized human chopping weapons, guns and pikes. Not tranquil, nor peaceful, nor pleasant. Pretty distressing after a few days of having to look at it.

One of my favorite hotels!!! The decorations are very cool, the rooms are very nice and the beds are great. But the staff is truly the best, the front desk, housekeeping, and the breakfast buffet staff!!! This is the best hotel in prague and the location is perfect for everything!!!

This hotel is a \"must see\". It is so quirky with all its suits of armor and knight themed interior.
The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've EVER had. You can eat there from 7 to 11 and there is always enough food and enough room to sit.
The hotel has a big parking lot so we felt safe leaving the car there and walk the city.
It's very conveniently located. Close to the river and close to the Karls bridge.
The building itself is old but in decent shape.
Room and bathroom were small but clean.
The staff is amazing and super friendly.
All in all a great experience and we would love to come back here!

As a historical property the conversion to a hotel was very thoughtful in preserving armoury artifacts as part of the decorations.

The carpeting in the hallways and steps need updating and the bathrooms, although modern, were very small.

Well what an experience I read all those reviews of people complaining about staying below the lounge and thought they were exaggerating well they put us there the first night and was awakened at 6 am with footsteps and dragging furniture well at 7 got worse when the guest started going in for breakfast I told the receptionist that we need to be moved up and he was very nice and did move us up to a larger room but unfortunately that evening when we comeback there was a leak the lady at the desk was so embarrassed and apologetic but wasn’t her fault, anyway bad experience I guess you get what you paid for but that basement rooms would never should be rented to have people stay there

We enjoyed our stay at Pytloun Old Armoury Hotel in Prague very much. The check-in was very easy and fast, complimentary drinks were offered that could be enjoyed in a nice outdoors area next to the hotel. The area around the hotel is very green and walkable. The hotel is very unique and we liked looking at all the decorations. The breakfast was very good and the beds were the most comfortable out of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip. We will definitely choose this hotel during our next stay in Prague.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The welcome drink was a nice treat, and breakfast was extensive to say the least—everything from scrambled eggs, bacon & Belgian waffles to fresh fruit, veggies, yogurt (with about 15 available toppings) and even pudding. Something for everyone! When we checked out, we were even given a boxed brownie to take with us.

Our room was a nice size for 3 people and we appreciated the bright en suite bath with hair dryer, magnification mirror and sundry items.

In the room, we were able to open the (older) double-paned windows and let in fresh air. The room also had room-darkening window coverings. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was an absolute refuge for our stay in Prague. Used online check , made check in when we got there super fast. Room was a good size and spotlessly clean , cleaners came everyday of our stay . Breakfast as others have mentioned is fantastic, so many options to choose from and plentiful, i didnt have to eat again until night time. Lovely medieval decor . Location was quiet and only a 10 minute walk from attractions.
Staff very helpful and friendly and a nice touch was a free drink and handwritten welcome note in room from manager.

Had a fantastic 3 day stay here and would definitely be my hotel of choice when i come back to Prague.

Pleasant experience

The restaurant and the breakfast buffet, which offers free flow of Prosecco and freshly made juice, is fantastic. So is the overall design of the hotel interior. But the room itself, although clean and has really comfortable beds, could have been better arranged technically and aesthetically.

Real good stay. But paying customers shouldn't be charged for parking. I was also charged for a breakfast voucher I didn't even use. I ate breakfast Saturday morning, my wife ate breakfast Saturday. But Sunday i was the only one who ate breakfast and the wife didn't. The front desk said that just because I requested two vouchers he had to charge me even if she didn't eat.

The hotel was nice with friendly staff and clean rooms. Some of the rooms could be a bit too small since we stayed twice and saw couple different rooms. It it very close to everything and you do not need to use any transportation to go anywhere within Prague. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The hotel does not have an Air conditioning so if you are going during hot months it may not be the most cool place to stay.

I really enjoyed the medievel decor and great buffet breakfast. However, what I did not like is the city of Prague. On our way to the airport, my wife and I were dragging 2 heavy suitcases and jumped on the front of the tram expecting to pay by card. I asked where the machine was, no one knew, I started toward the middle of the tram when I was stopped by ticket inspector. The short of it is that I was fined 1600 corona (800 per person) because I did not have my ticket ready to be inspected when he got to me. We had not even reached the first stop yet. Since that is the way I was treated, I will never return.

A great hotel!

Kampa is a wonderful place! We loved everything about the hotel. The location is perfect, the old building has a lot of character, the breakfast is wonderful.
Unfortunately we were in Prague during a heat wave so it felt a bit uncomfortable in the room even with a fan. But many old hotels in Europe don't have AC so this issue comes with the territory.

We did not get a room with a single bed as requested. Instead, we got a room with two beds. The agent told us we could move into a room with a single bed next day but we had no time to change the room. The room was very clean but it was small for 2 people. Breakfast was great and friendly staff at the reception desk. I would recommend this hotel.

Ideally located by the river and Kampa Park

The hotel is located next to Kampa Park, close to the Charles Bridge and old town, but away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. It is also close to public transport.
The hotel is clean, has an old world atmosphere, with a mediaeval style dining room complete with armour.
The staff are friendly and welcoming.
The unusual aspect of a pianist at breakfast is rather quaint.
With all of this and the value for money, it is always our first choice hotel when visiting Prague.

The rooms are basic but clean, the lobby and restaurant are unusually decorated which added a bit of colour to our stay. Breakfast was good, lots of choice served by friendly helpful staff. If I could give the staff here a 10 I would. They were wonderful!! Super attentive to their guests. This was by far the best place we stayed on our whole trip. 12 days, 4 countries, 9 cities, wish I had stayed here longer. Rooms are very small but the beds were comfortable and we weren't in the room much any way. We had dinner in the dining room and the food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet the next morning had a piano player and fresh crepes. They outdid themselves. If you want a great place to stay in Prague this is it. I can't wait to go back and I will definitely stay here again. My whole family loved it.

Perfect location close most to most attractions

It is a great location close to all the main attractions (all were done by walking) yet on a quieter street. The hotel is charming, the staff were very helpful. There are numerous very good restaurants also close by: Alebrijes right across the street for mexican and the restaurant inside the Hotel U Krize.

The dining room is perfect with its medieval decor and the breakfast was superb. So many choices and all excellent quality.

Nice restful location which was close to the river. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a great choice that could have fed us for the day. Many people might be negative about such an old building but the character and situation compensated for the quirky features like the tiny lift.

Interesting hotel close to Charles Bridge

The hotel itself could use some updating. That being said it was clean. The rooms are a little on the small side but the bathrooms have been updated. There was a piano player at breakfast, which was interesting, and the breakfast buffet offered a very good selection including a chef making crepes.
