This is a five-star hotel, but Prague is on sale, as our total cost for four nights was just 915 Euros, and that included their E-class wagon to take us from and to the airport, two massages for me and a facial for my wife, breakfast (they even packed breakfasts for our very early departure), and one restaurant meal! The staff was attentive, and the facility very fancy. The hotel is 90 degrees from the US Embassy and in an area with many nice places withing walking distance. Walking across the Charles Bridge into old own was easy. Besides the hotel restaurants, there are many others nearby. The only thing we would change is to replace the bath tub with a shower, as climbing in and out was a nuisance, and the danger of slipping was worrisome. The tub sides are much higher than is typical in the USA.

Lovely and luxurious property with excellent staff. The junior double room was massive and beautifully decorated. Great amenities. The staff is excellent- nothing is too much for them. It is close to many attractions and opposite the American embassy and therefore very safe. The breakfast could be better though. There is literally no cereal option but their omelette and oat meal were excellent. All in all a fantastic place to stay and would fully recommend this hotel.

Our stay at the Alchymist was magical. The staff is incredible, you feel well-cared for from the moment you arrive. The breakfast had a wide selection of fresh and delicious food options. The room was clean and so comfortable. You can notice the details of the property, down to the Alchymist logo on the lamp and the foot of the poster bed. The spa amenities were lovely, so nice to use the sauna and steam room, and the antique Chinese daybed is unique.

Terrible pillows not comfortable for sleeping. Bed way too firm no spring to the mattress makes it hard to fall asleep.

Other than the bed and pillows everything else is wonderful. Great rain shower, the best.

The bed and pillows need to be plushy, not plushy at all. Sad because the hotel is a beautiful artwork in itself. Get better pillows and a better mattress and your hotel will get 5 star ratings all the time.

Nonetheless, Prague in itself was and is beautiful!

A lovely stay with bathroom restrictions

We stayed in a family suite, room 303. There isn’t really anywhere to sit, just two bedrooms with a dining area in one. There also isn’t a stand up shower, so you have to sit in the bath to wash your hair. Luckily the the shower is very powerful but it’s still not ideal. A very small bathroom space for a family of four to share. The overall look and feel of the hotel is lovely though, very traditional and boutique.

The location is great! A short walk to Charles bridge and great restaurants. Rooms are beautiful, air conditioned and clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Opposite the USA embassy and a very attractive and well maintained hotel. I loved the ambiance of it and the staff were very helpful particularly the Italian lady in the restaurant and the Spa lady who was very helpful. If we came back to Prague this is where we would stay.

We loved the room; it was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the AC!
Breakfast staff was welcoming and the food was good. We also really loved the location of this hotel in relation to Charles Bridge, the Palace, tram stop and restaurants. It was not overly crowded and yet everything felt convenient. We did not have the opportunity to eat lunch or dinner onsite but am sure it was as wonderful as the rest of this fabulous property.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was beautiful- lots of getaway space and dining options. Rooms were well appointed and turned down each night as well as towels changed out in Eve. Complimentary Happy hour 430-5 . Great spread for breakfast with delicious coffee and food. Staff were very helpful. Lovely spa on the ground floor where we treated ourselves to a massage. Conveniently located but felt you were in a private oasis. Highly recommend

Overpriced considering customer service/unclean.

The location is perfect and the decor is very elegant but…

The customer service was horrible.
Staff were complaining and bickering near lobby when one customer asked when/where breakfast was.
Took travel documents in other room including credit card for 15 minutes which makes people anxious due to fraud.
Inside room - walls and by door handle dirty.
Hair on “clean” face towels.
Slippers stuck to the floor as walked.
Breakfast food was not very good.
Breakfast staff was very sweet and helpful.

Perfect location centered around popular sites but still nice quiet hotel. Only thing better than location was amazingly responsive staff. Wish I used beautiful indoor pool and workout room but first time visiting Prague and wanted every minute seeing my new favorite city. Fantastic city and perfect hotel that made it even better. Highly recommend this hotel and of course Prague!

Fabulous hotel in a superb location.

The pictures do not do this justice. The hotel is excuisite and the service is exemplary.

The hotel is vast and quirky with beautiful baroq elegance.

my friend and I had a wonderful few days at the hotel. The only negative we both found was cleaning staff in the suite never took away dirty dishes and glasses from room service. Ice bucket was never emptied either. it appeared 'food and beverage service' was not part of their responsibility. That being the situation - who was responsible?

Good hotel just needed to warn people of building work

The hotel was undergoing building work and sadly that did effect our stay, we had a beautiful breakfast on day one but the main restaurant closed and the breakfast sadly when moved struggled to keep the breakfast hot, the coffee machine was not good and the coffe luke warm. We were wokem on day 2 at 8am by the building work and the hotel door locks being changed which upset a few residents !! The spa and the staff were superb and we did eat in the restaurant and the food was exceptionally good !! The staff were very attentive but sadly not giving us a warning of the building works did somewhat spoil our stay !!

The hotel was beautiful. Please note that the family suite does not have a shower as advertised, even though there is a picture of a shower and confirmation. There is a shower in the family suite on the website, there is no shower in that room. With a family of four that made it very difficult to travel to the third floor spa every day for four people to take showers.

We also had issues with the breakfast buffet, being told we were supposed to get the breakfast buffet and then on the third day being told we were no longer supposed to get the breakfast buffet. This was difficult to deal with with a lot of jet lag.

They do not change the sheets every day, unless asked but spray the sheets with some type of chemical.

We had stayed there years ago and had had a very positive experience. We specifically went back with our kids and had a much more challenging experience but again, please do not get the family suite if you were expecting a shower.

Lovely, quirky hotel.

Loved the quirkyness of the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was huge. We also had a terrace which was great having direct access outside, sadly the weather was not on our side. Service was excellent. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but we didnt go hungry.

The Alcymist was a delight! It was over the top bohemian decor with top notch service and a great location. It was right over the St Charles Bridge but it’s tucked into a quiet neighborhood by the US Embassy. The breakfast was also wonderful.

We liked the warm welcoming gestures from staff, a welcoming drink, a nice smile, and a beautiful quiet background music. People that works on this hotel are very nice and helpful. We received a complimentary bottle of delicious wine and chocolate as for our wedding anniversary. We didn't like the first room it was too small for us, but we were offered other options. The second room that we got was very spacious with lots of natural light but no views other than the sky :(
We understand that there were no other rooms available and appreciate the help we got from the staff and manager.

Beds and pillows definitelly need to be upgraded. No premium bedding as we know it.

Breakfast is monotonous, it becomes annoying to go get breakfast, every morning is the same food and you are not offered other options unless you pay extra -after paying for included breakfast :( How hard is to make two fried eggs? or two eggs benedito? Yet, those are not included in the menu unless you pay extra and they are expensive.

One thing that puzzled us, we have to sign an empty receipt every morning that showed nothing other that a line for a tip. We had the feeling that we were being pressured to leave a tip every single morning for a breakfast buffet that you help yourself with. We thought that the only reason to sign that receipt was just to ask for the tip of an already paid breakfast buffet should be optional according to the service you get. This was an absolute amazing hotel. We booked the hotel last minute and we weren't sure what to expect. We were blown away. Every staff member was full of smiles and very supportive. The hotel was perfectly located near important landmarks. The hotel had amazing amenities including daily complimentary wine and cheese in the late afternoon. Would recommend to anyone. Definitely looking forward to going back in the future.

I felt like a princess!

If you want to feel like a princess, this is the hotel for you. Gorgeous. Just. Absolutely gorgeous. And well located, and comfy - which isn't always true of a beautiful hotel. My only complaint is that the laundry service was really expensive for only dresses - kind of unfair to a \"princess\" who doesn't wear pants very often! For all other items the pricing was fair. Anyways, forget that and stay here.

From the second we arrived the staff was friendly and welcoming. We were greeted at the Uber & our bags brought in. Then we were taken to a seating area to wait for the checkin process. We were offered complimentary drinks while we waited. The lady at the front desk came to greet us in the waiting room as we were looking around at all the amazing decor. She not only checked us in but gave us stories about the hotel and owners which were nice to hear. Then a gentleman helped us to our rooms with our bags and made sure everything was in working order (key did not work at first but he fixed it). The room was exactly as we requested (chandelier and fan to help me stay cool). If you are an American who runs hot like me it can be useful to ask for fans in advance incase the a/c is limited due to European differences with a/c. However at this hotel I did not need the fan because the a/c worked well in our room. The spa facility is nice with a small pool and sauna. I believe you can even book massages in advance if you wish. It's worth a visit down there even if you only get 15 minutes. The breakfast was amazing- the greeting from the hostess with complimentary champagne/mimosa to the buffet and selected menu options ( I enjoyed the fresh made omelette). I loved their tea selection. The front desk made good restaurant recommendations in the evening. And when leaving they helped us with taking our heavy bags to the Uber. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay with amazing staff.

We found this hotel last year by accident while looking for place to eat. We were offered to walk and look around after having beautiful and delightful dinner. The building is historical and if you enjoy history this is the place to stay to jave the best of your trip. So this year on my way back home I had one last day to cime back to Prague so I booked a room for one night for me and my Mom. The location is so great, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. From the front desk to restaurant service-great experience. Our room was clean, had complimentary water and wine, we were also offered wine and cheese snecks so we really enjoyed walking common areas with stunning furniture and wall decor. To my surprise their spa area was huge, Lucia was so sweet and gave us a tour of the spa (unfortunately I didn't have enough time to book it), the pool was great and unique. Dinner at the restaurant was incredible, with awesome service! We had a Wanderfull stay, I wish I found this hotel earlier. Can't wait to be back here with my husband.

Gorgeous boutique hotel in a great location

This is a small boutique hotel 5-10 min walk to all the great attractions of Prague. The hotel is gorgeous. The lobby and dining room feels like you are in a small palace. The location of the hotel is fantastic. 10 min walk to Charles Bridge and old town. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance. We had breakfast buffet included, and it was a very high quality choice of options. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall this was one of the most enjoyable hotels I have stayed at on a vacation.
