The hotel is located on a lively street in the old quarters, you can walk to many attractions from there. Plenty of food options around, a large market 5 min away on foot. Nice friendly staff, a welcome drink. Breakfast didn’t have many options but was yummy and they make eggs to your order. The room could use some repairs but was spacious and clean, we even had a balcony, which was nice.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the old quarters. Easy access to the main attractions. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast selection. Room was nice and spacious. Great housekeeping.
There’s a construction work going on next door but I was there for three days and it didn’t affect me at all. It’s just during working hours and didn’t start before 8am and was finished by 5pm.

Well located in the Old Quarter with walking, cyclorickshaw, or Grab car to Hoan Kiem lake, 25 minutes from airport. Tasty and adequate breakfast choices. Comfortable king bed in deluxe room with balcony on seventh floor. Staff is sweet and sincere to help.

The room was very large, clean, and the furniture was nice, including a very comfortable bed. The location is excellent - all the big sights are within walking distance.

But what made the stay special was the staff at the front desk. They were always friendly and welcoming, and very attentive to our needs.

We would be very happy to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our 7 day stay at the Hanoi Little town Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially Lily. They really made you feel like family and asked about your activities and if they could help with anything at all. Offered suggestions and ideas for excursions.The cleaning staff did an excellent job every day of cleaning our room, changing towels and linen, emptying garbage, etc. everything was always fresh and clean. The hotel is located in a very central location within walking distance to everywhere! Breakfast was included and everyday there was lots to choose from and very delicious. We spent a lot of time sitting out front on the two big comfy chairs watching the activity on the very active street and planning our excursions. There is also an observation area with seating on the seventh floor to look out over the city, which was pretty cool. We highly recommend this hotel for anybody wanting a convenient location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.

Conveniently located to the old quarter. If you’re used to walking, you can walk to a lot of places including bars and the Hoan Kiem lake. Rooms are also sizable with the necessary amenities.
Don’t expect a window with a view. My room has a big window but it’s blocked by the wall of a building beside it.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were shocked to see the lobby and restaurant under construction. There was no communication about the condition from the hotel ahead of time. The host greeted us warmly and apologetically. We were given the top floor family suite. It was quite a nice view of the Hanoi old town, but the suite felt more like a homestay than a hotel. It was very spacious but amenities were basic and outdated. The area is also a bit chaotic. Streets barely had any sidewalks and lots of traffic. However, shops do open late in the area, so dinning and shopping are convenient.

I stayed here twice during my trip to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay. The first two nights were great! There was a problem with the booking on my return from Ha Long Bay and my room had to be changed to a triple twin bed room for some reason. I toss and turn quite a bit and small beds just don't work for me. That's the only reason I gave four stars and not five. The staff overall were great. The location is convenient for most of the Old Quarter attractions, drinks and dining options. I would stay here again (just not on a twin bed!)

The help started before the flight from Canada and continued beyond our stay and on to our next destination. All the cooking and cleaning staff were were so accommodating as well!
Wonderful breakfast buffet every morning!
We are strongly considering returning to the Hanoi Little Town Hotel before having to return home!

Ideally situated in the Hanoi Old Town quarter, Hanoi Little Town Hotel is an oasis of classic elegance amidst the hustle and bustle of one of Vietnam’s most fascinating neighborhoods. Much more than expected

Not just fantastic value for money but just fantastic full stop. The bathroom is a little bit dated but always clean. Large spacious room with plenty of storage/work space.
The staff make this place! All of them are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They organised our transfer from the airport straight to the hotel where staff were waiting to greet us, take our bags and give us tea whilst we checked in.
After we freshened up we headed downstairs where Jane gave us a map of the city and pointed out some places to visit. She organised a free tour of the city for us for the following morning. It is a fantastic scheme where students volunteer to act as a guide. I highly recommend it! Jane also helped us organise elements of our onward travel including train to sapa, bus back from sapa, transfer to cat ba Island and even flights down to Ho chi Minh from Haiphong. If your willing to haggle and spend your holiday chasing around for various quotes then maybe you could find them cheaper however the prices are extremely reasonable and not too inflated so we definitely embraced the easy life, and let Jane organise for us. That being said the flights were cheaper than we could find online using Skyscanner etc so definitely worth an ask. All in all I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a safe haven in the old quarter of Hanoi. They made our time in Hanoi most enjoyable and stress free! Looking forward to returning for one more night after our trip to sapa!

Fantastic communication with the hotel, we took a local bus from the airport and the staff working that evening navigated us nicely.
Check in went smoothly, the hotel itself is in at a great location, walking distance everywhere.
The breakfast was ok.

Although non-smoking corridors, cigarettes smell was obvious. There was a group of people coming in late, very noisy but the staff didn’t seem to care.

A nice little hotel in the old city!

Very good location & very friendly staff. Breakfast was good and has a variety to choose.
They have trips to Halong Bay, Sapa like places but i prebooked elsewhere.
The old quarter area has a lot of old buildings and this nice little hotel maintained the antique furniture with modern facilities.
The lift bell tinkles a loud when people starts to wake and move from 5 am, which could be adjusted for the people who wants to sleep a bit more.

I was close to checking out and booking elsewhere

The room was very spacious and the bed wasn't too bad either. I had an issue with the smell of the bathroom. It was unbearable. I asked for a Glade scent for the bathroom and the receptionist sent a gentleman to see what the issue was. He walked into the bathroom and immediately had a sour face. It reaked of sewer. He comes back 30 mins later with a new Glade to \"help\" with the smell. The next day, I woke up to the entire room's electricity off. I went downstairs to the same receptionist and she sent another gentleman to \"find a solution\". Lone and behold, we get back to the room and all the lights are back on. I asked the gentleman what happened and asked if the place was haunted. He assured me it wasn't and tried to say that maybe my friend left our room key downstairs with the receptionist and that is why they shut off the power because they thought we were gone. Neither my friend nor I did such a thing. So he suggested to speak with the receptionist. we went downstairs and another lady explained to me that the government only allows a certain amount of electricity for the building and when they think that the guests are out for the day, they shut off their power. My issue here is that the receptionist KNEW WHAT THE ISSUE WAS and instead of explaining it the first time I went downstairs, she tried to make it seem like she had no idea and turned it back on I went back upstairs. I didn't like that she sent someone upstairs with me to \"figure out the issue\" when she knew.

Nice hotel, great price. Staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful. Breakfast was good, nothing special but plenty of options. The location is excellent, it is right in the middle of all the action in Old Quarter, so lots to do and see in the area. Can easily walk from the hotel and just wander around the town. Great area, very interesting. Lots of food, shops, even the lake and water puppet theatre, all nearby and easily within walking distance. The hotel is decent, again nothing special but for the price it was good. The room was a good size, my only issues were that the elevator is very slow and there is only one, I woke up to a buzzing noise coming from the floor above me (no idea what this was, may have been the people staying one floor up for all I know and not the hotel itself), and there was some water dripping from the bathroom ceiling. But aside from those things, I would recommend this hotel. There are nicer hotels in the area, but you will pay $10-$20 more per night so for the price this is a decent deal. I would stay here again if trying to save money, but if money is not an issue I would stay somewhere for $30-$40 a night and get a nicer place.

Great hotel in the heart of Hanoi.
Just a short walk from the bustling beer corner and easy to get a taxi to all the major attractions.
Kate on reception is brilliant, as were her staff.
Before we arrived, Kate organised for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. A man was waiting for us and all worked well. She also organised a cruise around Halong Bay for us. Pick up from the hotel, easy and had a great time.
You will not be disappointed if you stay here, we had a great time!

The hotel is located in the old section of Hanoi so there were shops located all around the hotel. The hotel has areas that look old but that's what gives it character. The bed was comfortable sleep in. The breakfast was very nice, enjoyed that you could order a variety of different food of a menu.

Service from all employees was exceptional for Vietnam. We felt very welcomed, and although they let us know they could help organize tours, we never felt pressured to book with them. We did end up booking our trip to Halong Bay through the hotel and had a great experience. Can't say enough about the staff at the front desk and all support staff, all emails were answered promptly and overall a great experience. Hotel is located perfectly- less than 10 minutes walk to main square and easy walk to all points of interest in the old town.

Little Town Hanoi was lovely. It was affordable, neat, and clean. The staff were friendly, wonderful, and made airport and tour transfers very simple. Two notes: the showers are definitely small; and could use a refresh; and the breakfast left something to be desired. The crepes were tasty; as were the juices, but we ended up eating out more often than not. We didn't stay our entire trip in Hanoi, but the little town provided the perfect base to leave our things and rest up.

Staff were great, we arrived at 5:30am and requested an early check in, our room was occupied but we were offered an upgrade for half the price. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was fantastic.

The restaurant was a little on the small side but looked as though you could always get a seat.

We only stayed one night before going to Phong Nha but the reception upgraded our room, organised our taxi, stored our luggage for the afternoon, telephoned the travel company and were generally awsome. Staff couldnt be more helpful. Speak very good english. Breakfast is ok, you do have a menu to choose your eggs and smoothies. Rooms are old but nicely furnished. Old style key entry so you can charge all day and walk into a cool room as power stays on. For the price i do recommend it we stay here before in 2016.

Handy low budget hotel with wonderful staff

Nice room makes a great base to explore Hanoi with a pleasant restaurant for breakfast. Some seating in reception. Exceptionally helpful staff, the airline lost my luggage in Doha and the hotel staff helped chase it up and arrranged for drop off at the hotel 24 hours later. We were due to take the night train that night for a trekking break in Sapa so the staff explained where I could buy hiking equipment if I had to do a last minute shop. They also promised to email us if and when it arrived so we could go off for the day sightseeing which they did do.

The best thing about the Hanoi Little Town hotel is the amazing staff! Hannah and Kate were both so incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The location was perfect, the room clean and charming, and again the staff was so accommodating to all of our needs! They helped me to arrange a Ha Long Bay cruise, stored our luggage, and gave us fantastic recommendations for local food and drink! I will definitely stay here again when visiting Hanoi and I highly recommend the Hanoi Little Town hotel to anyone traveling in Vietnam!

Fantastic staff and excellent location.

My daughter and I stayed here as our first stop on our Vietnam trip. I cannot recommend the staff here highly enough. They were superb and extremely accommodating organising so many things for us including our Halong Bay cruise (although I don't think I'd recommend their choice) trips to and from the airport including pickup from our train which arrived at 5.30am. They held our bags for us while we traveled up North and allowed us to use their shower and repack when we came back and they were always happy and obliging.
Location was great too and the hotel room we had was lovely and quite. Great breakfast too.
