Wifi was terrible! Even with 3 networks, none of them can keep up with the most basic connectivity. I was not able to do any work. Even checking email was a struggle.

I like staying in pensions. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made us a huge breakfast on our first day. Sustained me till almost dinner time. Convenient location with a Billa nearby and a 10-15 minute walk to Innere Stadt.

Amazing Hotel, in the heart of Vienna!

During my recent visit to Vienna, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Pension Mariahilf and it was truly a delightful experience. Situated in the bustling heart of the city, this hotel offered a serene and welcoming atmosphere.
The service at was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests.
My overall experience was outstanding. The combination of the perfect location, comfortable accommodation, excellent facilities, and top-notch service made my stay truly memorable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna.

Great location and clean!

Old hotel but very clean! Great location and large room for the the price. Strange lock situation though… the room key provided that opens the front lobby also opens your door… and there’s no safe in the hotel room—something to keep in mind for solo travellers

Pleasant and convenient stay

Very convenient position, staff friendly and helpful, very clean. Not a grand place but we stayed happily here. Beds comfortable, shower hot! Our room faced a courtyard and was very quiet.

A Simple Place to Roost

A quiet, simple, hostel-like place, almost hard to find, in a fabulous and convenient area of Vienna. WiFi was poor at the time of our stay. In-house breakfast is only on Sunday, but vouchers for a nearby food court are given for other days. The owner Mr. Bobak was warm and helpful.

The hotel does not look anything like the picture shown on the Internet. It has a hole in the wall that you have to find with great difficulty. It is an ordinary door that leads to a very ordinary interior no ground building for sod as shown here.

There was no staff when we arrived And the building was difficult to access. We found that our key had been left at a desk which was also difficult to find.

We did like this manager who we met in the morning and the staff were very friendly. The manager helped us out with some bus tickets that we needed so we were very grateful for that.

old pension -since 1967 but a clean and nice one! The staff was great and very helpful! we have been 4 only 2 nights on our way back to Tlv, and as it was very good position as we have had to catch the early flight back home.sure a good spot to try it for short stints in this beutifull city.

A basic, second floor pension (There is a lft) in an old, classic building on a very busy shopping street. Centrally located, near main city center with a Ubahn station directly in front of the door. Well marked and easy to find. Very convenient, but noisy. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was bigger and nicer than expected. Well appointed, with a large window overlooking the street. (Interesting but noisy.) Clean except for a little accumulated dust on a door frame. No AC, but fan. Wi-fi ok. Overall, a great value for a city center, basic lodging.

Great location but some problems

The front desk had a hard time finding our reservations ....we had to come back later because I think they weren't
ready for us. They gave us a much bigger place than we had booked which was OK but someone
had been smoking there and the smoke triggered my allergy problem.
The kitchen wasn't well outfitted...poor pots.
Otherwise we enjoyed staying there for two days.

My room was small but big enough for me. In the bathroom was one of these artificial Smell things that I don't like … and in front of the Hotel on the street was an annoying \"ticking\" noise. Anyway… it's close to the center and the staff was VERY kind and helpful. So, for everyone who does not want to spent his time in Vienna in the bathroom ;-) and will be tired enough from visiting this wonderful city to sleep well even with some background noise (only if you need to sleep with an open the window…): this is just the right place, especially with regard to the price!

Great location

Our room was on the mezzanine level. The room was clean and very spacious. We are a family of five and had lots of room to spread out. The decor was plain but functional. The shower was very small. The main problem was the horrible cigarette smell in the room, we couldn't get rid of. It came from the other apartments in the building due to poor ventilation. On the first day our room was cleaned - beds were made and towels changed. On the second day it wasn't. The policy in this matter is unclear to me.

Clean room and accessible location

A friend and I shared a double room. Its furnishings were simple but clean, and there was sufficient space for the two of us. The refrigerator in the room was a very welcome perk. The location is right outside an U-bahn stop (Neubaugasse) on a main shopping street (Mariahilfer Strasse), and it is only about a 20-minute walk to Vienna's center. The street can be a little noisy at night, especially if you leave the window open to cool off. Breakfast was across the street at the café/grocery store and was tasty but little more than a continental breakfast. Staff were polite and helpful. Our only disappointment was that the wifi was unreliable.

Perfect location

This hotel has great position regarding couple of key things: exploring the main attractions of the city and shopping. In fact, being located in Mariahilfe strasse exactly means that you're almost \"in the heart\" of the city. Also, Pension Mariahilfe offers discount price for few parkings nearby (18 euros per day, instead of 3.5 euros per hour). Speaking about accomodation I would like to make a comment: don't expect much, rooms are very small.
I have a problem with reservation...Although I've got the confirmation from Hotels com (quadruple room, free breakfast, free wi-fi), the staff refused to offer breakfast :(

Very basic pension

I booked this hotel for one night to be very close to the meeting venue. I am not sure if I want to book again for that price.
It is ok if you need spend very little time in the actual room, it is very dated, it is located inside residential building.
Said said I stayed in another hotel in different part of vienna and the it was also dated.
The breakfast is not severed inside the hotel, they give a coupon and it is served in shopping mall opposite the hotel.

Excellent position of hotel

We spent five nights at the hotel. We found the reception very willing to help on all occasions.
The hotel has been established for a long time, therefore a few things needed updating but they don't affect the comfort of the place.
Breakfast which was at the Merkur - an excellent hypermarket directly opposite the hotel was excellent.

Two perfect SILENT nights!

Pension rooms all seem to open onto an atrium rather than the street. Very, very quiet at night. Super comfortable mattresses. New bathroom. Nice persian rugs in hallways. Wonderful cafe on Neubaugasse nearby. Ubahn Neubau station is literally out the front door.

Vi besökte hotellet under vinter och det var så varmt att vi ibland öppnade upp fönstren men det var väldigt skönt. Personalen var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Vi bodde i närheten av centrala Wien, hotellet är belägen i en av Europas längsta shoppingsgator

L’hotel era collegato bene con il centro avendo la metro a circa 100m, però era pieno di senza tetto sulla strada e anche davanti la porta dell’hotel. Noi eravamo tre ragazze e non ci siamo sentite sicure a uscire da sole la sera soprattutto perché non era presente la sorveglianza dell’hotel, non c’era nessuno in reception, eravamo praticamente sempre sole.
Purtroppo non era presente l’aria condizionata e non era possibile aprire le finestre perché la zona era molto rumorosa (era presente un ventilatore rumoroso). Nella nostra stanza c’era una presa della corrente al bagno che era rotta e vicino i comodini c’era solo una presa ed era per la lampadina quindi è stato un po’ scomodo caricare il cellulare. Nel bagno era presente un deodorante a parente poiché è senza finestra né areatori, ma era rotto.
Il letto era scomodo e i cuscini molto molli, ci sono sembrati un po’ di bassa qualità.
Era presente un frigo bar in camera con acqua e Coca Cola.
Nel complesso la struttura è buona anche se è un po’ antica, la camera era pulita e veniva sistemata ogni giorno, l’addetto alla reception gentile e disponibile.

Lage toll, wir haben ein kleines Zimmer Richtung Innenhof erhalten. Deshalb Ruhe in der Nacht. Im Zimmer gab es auch ein kleiner Kuehlschrank, was sehr hilfreich war. Alles sehr sauber, der Bad hat aber leider keine Entlueftung. Insgesamt aber empfehlenswert.

La struttura si trova in una posizione perfetta per visitare Vienna. Dista circa un km dal centro storico e si affaccia su una strada pedonale ampia e tranquilla, con molti negozi e un centro commerciale.
Il personale dell’albergo è stato molto gentile e disponibile.

Останавливалась на две ночи в комнате на одного человека.
Плюсы: близко к метро (вход прямо рядом с выходом из отеля), в пешей доступности все основные достопримечательности (если лень ходить - метро), торговая пешеходная улица со множеством магазинов, продуктовый магазин, банкомат, кафе рядом. Удобный номер со всем необходимым. Соотношение цена/качество.
Минусы: шумно, слышно поезда в метро, людей на улице слышно всю ночь, видимо, популярное место для ночных прогулок.

Nel periodo in cui ho alloggiato in questo albergo erano in corso lavori di ristrutturazione. È pertanto difficile lasciare una recensione oggettiva.
Gli aspetti positivi sono la vicinanza alla fermata della metro e al quartiere dei musei, raggiungibile a piedi in dieci minuti. È posizionato sulla Mariahilfstrasse, importante via commerciale, dotata di ogni genere di servizio.
Il personale è molto gentile e la pulizia ineccepibile.
La struttura è tuttavia un po' datata. Per la colazione occorre rivolgersi al supermercato dall'altra parte della strada, dove il servizio è comunque buono.
Se non si hanno pretese di lusso e comfort la sistemazione è ideale per visitare la città.

Die Lage ist unschlagbar gut, da Zentrum in 3 Min erreichbar ist. Das Viertel selbst ist ebenso sehr sehenswert, u.a. der Raimundhof, direkt um die Ecke der Pension mit tollen Geschäften und Cafes. Die Betreiber der Pension sind sehr nett, hilfsbereit und kompetent. Wer den \"airbnb-Wahnsinn\" und die Zerstörung der Innenstädte nicht mitmachen will, ist in dieser Pension genau richtig. Ein Familienbetrieb, der es richtig schön macht.

Army of beg bugs attackted us during the first nigth. After killing 18 and get bitten by 10 bed bugs, we changed the hotel in the middle of nigth. Location was good in the middle of Marianhilf shopping street. Room was small and very old fashion.

Einfache Pension

Wer keine grossen Ansprüche hat und eine günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Seltsam ist das Frühstück, dass man im Cafe des gegenüber liegenden Supermarkt bekommt. Die Einrichtung der Pension stammt wohl noch aus den 70er Jahren und das Bad war von meinem Einzelzimmer sehr klein. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr sauber.

Pension absolut ok, wären da nicht Bettwanzen...

Aufgrund der vielen guten Bewertungen haben wir uns an meinem Geburtstagswochenende für dieses Hotel entschieden. Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber sauber - das Team ist freundlich. Sehr zentrale Lage im 6. Bezirk. Ruhig, wenn die Fenster geschlossen sind. Wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht, beim Aufwachen am Check-out Tag zählte ich unzählige Bisse von Bettwanzen am ganzen Oberkörper. Ich reagiere leider allergisch auf die Bisse und hoffe, die ungebetenen Gäste nicht mit nach Hause geschleppt zu haben.
Fazit: Ausschließlich wegen des Bettwanzenbefalls nicht empfehlenswert.
